@Milkmanif the IC moves to Discord, I’m out. So good call.

I'm not too fond of discord roleplays. Have browsed around in a few nation roleplay servers ands wasn't really impressed with what is saw there. Not to mention the 2000 character limit is a huge drag.

@Milkman In my experience, Discord can descend into minutia that slows down or halts IC. Please be very strict in policing how much IC talk happens there.

No ic talk will happen there. If it's not in the IC thread, it has not happened.

@Milkman Updated sheet. Also, may make an Inkarnate map of the Isle if that's cool?

Ok. I'll take a look on the sheet later today. Feel free to make a map of the isle. You can add it to the territory section of your nation sheet.

@Yam I Am I think that may be part of the reason why the Skekarii don't really desire much expansion, it'd bring too much conflict and make their realm harder to defend if they don't know the territory as well, though the majority of the population is on the western coast beneath the mountains. It might also be part of the reason why the queen is amping up diplomacy efforts.

I think the other thing to note here is that the Skekarii are only supporters of the crown out of fear for their own vassals, breaking free by rebellion is bad but if another way to get free can be found, they might be more favourable to getting rid of the Akron.

@trinais Looks good so far. There are some minior errors in bb code but you can work that out when you move your nationsheet to the character tab. The Aegire oliarchy is accepted.

@gowia Looks goods so far. Looking forward to see the culture/society/history sections :)

This is frustrating. I know the history, culture and government of my nation, but I can't for the life of me pick a name or choose a flag

@Milkman For narrative reasons for my Ic post, about how large is the continent? I ask because Skekaria is the farthest vassal and I'm trying to think about how long it would take them to go across the continent by land, I'm not sure if I want them to sail or take a carriage yet.

Hmm, I haven't really given that much thought. Innitially I would say something like east-west ~3000 km and north south ~2000 km. My google fu skills gave me the wisdom that on walking would result in a travel distance of 25km a day, on horseback/carriage 50km a day and sailing 50-70km a day. That would not really work with the 5 week time between the message and the distance to travel. So I either should rethink dimensions or change the time between the invitation and the inauguration. The idea is that all leaders have enough time to travel to the Arkronian capital by their preferred method.

@Milkman

Basically, we should or could assume that whenever we post that we got the letter already, and can start preparing to go there to introduce characters, or en'route. Us closest can spend whatever IC time doing palace intrigue until we're all there.

@Milkman Gotcha, we can assume either way that the Skekarii delegation is coming via ship I think. Are all three monarchs expected to be there, or would the Akron just want one or two? I'm curious how aware the Akron are of the dynamics of their vassals. Actually now that I'm thinking I'm kinda curious how nobility/monarchs from our countries are treated? I know the Arkron consider our races, the Skekarii, the Saa'leed, etc. to be inferior by default, but does it work in a similiar race to how the Spanish saw native nobility? I mean, obviously we're considered far beneath the Arkron monarch and I'd imagine still pretty far beneath a native major noble, but would Queen Hastor, for example, be considered on the same par as a minor Arkron noble, just with the special status of representing a dominion, or would their treatment be different?

Also, can I make a few edits to my NS and run those by you? I have a couple things that I want to flesh out a bit more.

@Trinais Would you mind if I mentioned Aegeire in my country's history section?

@Blandina The king and administration of Arkron stands above their vassals in the hierarchy. However this does not mean that they would just show disrespect to their vassals. Proper etiquette is important in Arkronian society and those who follow the etiquette will be met with the proper respect. Many Arkronians do consider themselves as a superior race by default and will often have a slight air of arrogance in in their dealings with the other races.

The Arkronians consider it proper etiquette that their vassals send their highest representatives to the coronation ceremony because the king of Arkon is considered the very top of the hierarchical pyramid. When the Skekani would crown a new monarch the Arkronians consider it as an event that happens one or two steps down in the pyramid. Depending on the relations, they might send their minister of foreign affairs if the relationship isn’t very good and do not wish to improve it. They might send the king himself if the Arkronians want to show their full commitment to further deepening relationship.

The Arkronians are well aware of internal dealings of their vassals. They employ a vast network of informers throughout the continent to keep them updated about the state of affairs in the other nations.

Just let me know what you want to edit and I’ll have a look at it.

@Milkman Thanks! I appreciate it! I just wanted to make sure that all three monarchs were needed, and how the Skekarii monarchs fit into the hierarchy, so I appreciate the response.

As far as what I was wanting to change goes, I was wanting to edit the economy and charachters a bit. I already have that the Skekarii mountain clans engage in mining and agriculture but I also say that King Mahd is kinda notable for expanding mining so I was wanting to stress a bit more in the economy section that a big portion of it is from the mining operations, as their aquaculture is mostly just used to feed their people and doesn't have much export. I also wanted to mention magic a little bit since it does exist in this world. Since magic comes from other worldly sources I thought it might work to have the High Priests have some ability with it, mostly in regards to being able to help make sure that the aquaculture harvests are sizeable. Beyond that I was also thinking that I would detail a bit more the three major clans that the monarchs come from, as well as a couple of the more notable factions, in order to just give a bit more flesh to my people.
