They say someone in Hester's profession eventually becomes cynical but to her credit it has yet to hit her. Sure, she's seen a lot of bad in her small corner of the world, but she still believes, perhaps naively so, that people are ultimately good at heart. Though she believes in the good of others, she's hardly one who practices what she believes. In her career she was honest to a fault which made her good at what she did but prevented her from advancing anywhere close to where she wanted to be. Despite her relationship status, Hester isn't married to the job; she's not married at all despite her secret romantic pursuits. Hester is someone who enjoys going to singles events at a bar or using dating apps despite the string of bad luck that's been her experience. Back home, she has something of a positive reputation in the community for her honesty and open-book approach and appearance at local events. Of course, even the most sterling of reputations only needs one bad mark for everyone to turn on you, as Hester well knows. She might be honest, one of the few honest ones out there, but she's not perfect and she's got her secrets.

Hester Benoit was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to a government worker father and a museum curator mother. The oldest of two children, the Benoit family never quite recovered after Hester's younger brother was tragically killed in an incident. The official police report marked it as 'accident' but that's the official story when an innocent kid gets a bullet in crossfire. Her parents grieved but the marriage became strained and Hester was the glue that kept her parents from divorcing. The death of her younger brother chnged Hester's life: She decided to become a police officer with the then-idea of ensuring that no one else should have to go through what her family did.

Hester had grand plans to make detective or even perhaps advance to the federal level, but she started in evidence and community outreach before finally getting a partner and a beat of her own. Things were good for Hester, a solid arrest record, a decent conviction rate, but her own amber-colored demon reared its ugly head one unfortunate night. She was responding to a domestic disturbance call. The way she told it to the internal affairs people was that she was drawn on first but the papers and the news only saw one thing: 'BATON ROUGE COP UNDER INVESTIGATION FOR UNJUST LETHAL FORCE'.

Her superior had to take her gun and badge while the investigation was ongoing. He told Hester to lay low, that she did it by the book, take time off. She took it literally and wanted to get as far away from Baton Rouge as she could. National media attention meant it was best to go international to escape it. It wasn't much of a vacation but the booze probably tasted better outside the country. A connecting flight on the west coast was the cheapest option even if she had no appreciation for that part of the country. Still, with the weight of her actions being her carry-on baggage, Hester boarded the plane.

Brandy B. Hughes was once just another girl from a well-off family living in the gated communities. She was not one who fit in with her socialite peers. No days spent arguing over lattes and lounging outside, Brandy much preferred staying inside, marching to her own tune. Brandy's upbringing was a sour spot and when she entered the rebellious teen years, she never looked back. It started small, cutting her hair, dating the 'bad influences', breaking curfew, the usual. From there it branched out and Brandy was soon getting into fights just because it was something to do, and because her father would certainly be able to hire lawyers if need be.

Brandy B. Hughes did manage to get out of her lifestyle. She learned to fight. She learned to talk. She learned to mix. Brandi Blaze was born. While not a professional fighter by any stretch of the imagination, Brandi earned a living hustling and defending herself when her victims grew wise to her schemes. No one liked it when Brandi pulled the 'double or nothing' ploy. Sometimes she had a more honest gig as security - for shitty clubs or bars all the way up to concerts once people stopped underestimating her just because she wasn't amazonian. Of course, fighting in dives and running security wasn't her real passion; she wanted to make music. Specifically she wanted to produce and rap but until she got paid for her beats or her lyrics that was just a side hustle.

Fortunately, in the age of the internet all it took was the right networking. After one of her beats was sampled, illegally, by a well known rap artist, Brandi turned to her asshole of a father and his legal team and overnight the name 'Brandi Blaze' was being tweeted about, not to the point where it stayed trending for long, but enough for her to gain a decent amount of followers and actual up and coming artists wanting to use her beats for their own songs, which she was happy to do so. She wouldn't have to hustle drunks for triple figures or prevent horny concert goers from rushing the stage anymore. Now she had people listening to her shit. And liking it.

Things were eventually looking up for Brandi when a newly opening club in Australia wanted her to dj some of her songs in a sort of audition for a more full time position. She was one step closer to putting her name up there with the great producers of the musical world; that is, unless she would be the next inspiration for a Don McLean style song.

Theo is the archetypal adrenaline-junkie. He claims to have never felt fear, but that isn't strictly true. He's certainly been scared of venomous spiders he's handling, being lost in a city without knowing the language, weaving between fast-moving traffic on a busy road, but the fear is what he lives for. Of course, his sense for danger is all sorts of messed up. Recklessness and bravery (and dumbassery) go hand-in-hand.

Theo has an unfaltering optimism and a 'life is what you make of it' creed. Long-term planning is not his forte, but short-term impulses certainly are. He can't sit still when there's action to be had somewhere out there. On an interpersonal level he's unselfish, easy-going, and a team player, but he's also flighty; long-term friendships and relationships are not something he has ever had, and not through lack of trying.

Some high school dropouts have the benefit of a safety net. Theodore Salvatici, son of Eleanor Salvatici, fashion designer, was one of them. His young adulthood was spent much like his childhood: travelling to different countries, engaging with the culture and cuisine, only he was now old enough to appreciate fast vehicles, open roads, and death-defying activities. Work was not necessary thanks to a mother happy to bankroll things, but Theo never shied away from putting his pretty face to good use. Eventually he earned enough to support his hobbies through a sizable social media presence and the occasional modelling job.

Recently, Theo completed his motorcycle tour of the USA – the journey sponsored and filmed to be turned into content later – and after a few months in LA working a few bit-part acting gigs, he turned his sights on a whole different continent. Australia was meant to be the next great adventure to strike off on a bucket-list a mile long. He might have gotten more than he bargained for.
