@The Harbinger of Ferocity Brannor was twice glued. However, I do not believe it is correct for the effect to stack. Torus broke one of the glue layers on him, so that would leave him with either one left, or none, if we deem the effect to not stack in that manner. I believe it might be fairest if the effect itself stacked not, but the second layer of glue would remain an issue, but I could be convinced to rule it otherwise if presented with a solid argument.

Assuming the glue is an alchemical sort of weapon, I think it would apply the same way multiple alchemist fires would: even though you can hit someone with multiple alchemist fires to do more fire damage, the target still only needs to do one check in order to stop the fire on him. Additional hits from alchemist fire while on fire does nothing to make the fire more difficult to put out, either by increased DC or needing to take multiple actions to put out. That will only be needed if Brannor gets hit again by the glue bombs, thus requiring a new check for the condition he previous lost.

In short: two glue bombs are redundant since they both inflict restrain, and multiple stacks of restrain doesn’t amount to much unless they come from an alternative source instead of just the same type of glue bomb.

The effects of restraint should not stack, is what I agree with as well, @Hekazu. I also believe it is probably the intent that the individual instances stack as well but not the penalties obviously based on what we do know. The other issue is though, is that these came from two different sources per se as @Lucius Cypher points out. It makes no sense for them to not stack although it does make no sense for them to stack in its own way since the penalties do not stack.

As I see it, "Restrained" as a condition only applies once, yet the stacks of the glue all still keep applying it. So for each glue effect, it keeps the restraining in order, requiring each of those to be broken. Again, not favorable in this case, but it has the consequence of seeming to be what I imagine they intended?

I figured the glue effect is kind of like a quick drying cement sort of thing. Throwing multiple layers just make bigger layer. Basically, the DC gets higher, but it'll only take one action to break through all of them. Less action economy, but this could mean someone could potentially be stuck in a glue trap that they'll have no hopes of breaking out of on their own.

I do think this one sounds quite reasonable for physical effects, and magical already have their explicit rules. This would, in turn, mean that Brannor is completely free with Torus's check having been a solid success @The Harbinger of Ferocity.

With that sorted and without further delay then, we have our resolution to the issue of many, many, many glue-happy kobolds.

I'll try to get back to you soon enough. This cold of mine is hopefully on the backfoot by now, and will be driven out of my mortal shell shortly if I get to make the decision.

@Norschtalen Could you roll me a STR save? Remember the disadvantage from the tendril.

Another Kobold is killed @Lucius Cypher. Moving on to Kyra who may have made note that this was no glue bomb after all @Norschtalen.

Am I still restrained by the creature or am I free now, just prone?

No luck on the save with a negative result. The last of the four kobolds is felled.

Next goes Parum @Ryonara. I've reasons to keep the initiative order going.

I'm afraid that with all the COVID-19 stuff that has entered my very personal life, I simply must set this RP on hold. I cannot handle the DMing process at this time, especially not with Torus back under my command at this time. I'll be back later to see if people are still interested in continuing by then, but I do not know for sure when that will be. I imagine something towards the beginning of next month. I probably won't vanish from the site for that time, but I really need to ration my workload. And DMing is a big big chunk.

Unfortunate but understandable mate. This virus has been affected us all in more ways than one. We’ve been at this for a long while and I’m sure that even after a month passes, some of not all of us will be ready and willing to jump back into the saddle when you’re good and able. Take care of yourself boss, and we’ll see you later.

I understand Hekazu. I was going through a rough sick patch way back when too. And since you let me back in despite that, I'm more than willing to wait for you here as well. Just focus on your life and taking care of yourself. Whenever you feel up to DMing again, feel free to call me.

Regrettable and unfortunate to hear, hopefully there will come a return sooner than later from us all, @Hekazu. Unless something extreme takes place, consider me prepared to begin whenever once again. Do take care of yourself in the mean time.

Well, it took a heap longer than I had expected it to take, but I imagine that I might as well come along here once more. I do have something to say though, before we even consider continuing. I will have time once more for about a month going forward, but after that I will be more on a two or three day response cycle with much lessened activity. The time before that should be enough to kickstart things on their way once more if we are committed to it, but I fear we may alternatively end up chugging at minimal speed and then fall dead as my activity cannot remain high enough to be a sustaining force. But letting things fizzle off in Limbo isn't much better than that fear coming true. After all, it'd be a shame to lose all that has been built so far, wouldn't it?

I await to hear your thoughts on the matter @Ryonara, @Lucius Cypher, @Norschtalen and @The Harbinger of Ferocity. Whether we should continue on, or play the bagpipes in honour to the fallen. Or perhaps you have different ideas altogether?

Truth be told while I don’t mind doing this campaign again, I kind of want to use different characters. Orchid was fun but I got new ideas I wanna try out.
