As annoyed as she was about having to help clean up the Danger Room. Likely covered in vomit, blood and whatever random things people left behind from whoever was last in it. The regular training sessions often came with plenty of blood and bile. From what she’d seen here so far, many of the student body had physical or draining powers, while her own kept her alive without food. “I imagine the drinking was fun before the monster. Damn good conspiracy theory footage though.”
Her grin only widened when he mentioned the car. She’d made sure it made it back where she got it before falling into her nightly trance, but still. Hopefully she could get her hands on another one if she needed to again. Maybe one of the engineering kids could make one, especially if there was going to be more x-men shenanigans. “Not technically my car.” Her shoulders lifted in a playful shrug as she walked beside him, light blue orbs watching him.
“I can taser you so hard you start vomiting if you want.”
Nik shook his head at the offer, giving a short chuckle. ”My body is far too sore from last night to get tasered. Maybe another time, just to know what it feels like.” Still holding the pack of gum out in his hand, Nik slid a single wrapped piece from out the pack slightly and waved it a bit. ”Gum?”
She hadn’t actually noticed the gum at first, far too preoccupied by thinking of the events from the previous night. Jasper hadn’t been there the entire time, but she’d gotten what footage she could and had memorized as many details as possible after returning. An eyebrow raised, shoulders lifted, and she plucked the stick from his hand. ”Your loss. It’s not nearly as fun as being struck by lightning.” Nimble fingers unwrapped the gum and popped it into her mouth, where she chewed without so much as a thank you, though she still grinned.
Nik rolled his eyes before pulling out a stick of gum for himself, crumbling up the wrapper as soon as he was chewing the gum. He moved the gum to the side of his mouth as he spoke, before chewing on it once again. ”Yeah… have you seen Una since Nocturne?” Nik opened his mouth to continue speaking, before he just went back to chewing his gum. His eyes sort of wandered off in the direction they were walking, and his eyes engaged in a soft focus with the world around him as he lost himself in his own thoughts for a moment. Thoughts of the creature, of Una… and of what he had done…
Unfortunately for her, Jasper wasn’t a telepath as well. Some days she would give anything to figure out what people were hiding, and then she’d remember that most things can be found online. She turned her gaze forward, hands tucked in her pockets again, fingers playing with the wrapper. By the end of the day it was likely to be in a thousand tiny pieces inside that leather jacket pocket. “Nope.” A glance over at him revealed his intent to speak more, though he never said it after all. “Could probably find her, if you ask nicely.” One of her hands lifted to push her bangs out of her face, the smallest of playful smirks on her lips, turned just slightly to a security camera they passed in the hall. “Why? Crushing already?”
Nik was brought back to reality for a moment as Jasper spoke, only to find himself looking away as his lips saw a little bit of color rush into them. He practically choked on his gum, giving a weird cough as he just narrowly avoided inhaling it. ”Uh… That’s none of your business.” Nik’s pace started to naturally quicken, matching the quickened speed of his words as he began talking around the issue. ”I’m just concerned about her, alright? She’s my… friend…” That word almost stung as Nik spoke it, giving him pause before he continued, ”I just wanted to know if she’s ok. Not creating some monster or getting kidnapped by some douche who doesn’t know how to button up a shirt.” Nik’s teeth began to grind a little at the thought of Lex from the night before.
"Of course, of course." Jasper couldn't help it, a small chuckle escaped her. She was quite amused by him. The technopath had few friends, and she'd never been in love with anything but computers. It was an interesting thing really, to see groups of strangers spending time together and not want to truly join them. Jasper enjoyed being the outsider looking in. "If I see any creepy dudes in suits, you'll be the first to know." Her statement was punctuated by a flash of green in blue-grey eyes. Half a moment later it was gone, and she was staring back down the hallway again, expressionless save for the hint of a smirk on her lips. Maybe she would watch them up close a while longer.
Nik gave a curt nod, his only acknowledgement. He did feel some comfort knowing someone would be watching Una. The two continued trodding along the grounds of Ashford’s in relative silence, dreading their approach to the Danger Room.
