Yup, to say that he was beyond pissed off when it comes to everyone else seemingly being okay with this. How the hell could they think this was perfectly fine? How the hell was this okay? What the hell was even wrong with people? There had to be more to the story then what Hill was telling them, any idiot could figure that one out within minutes. "Okay, so let me get this straight, you all are perfectly fine with going after Captain America, which might I remind you is a majorly bad idea, you also are all a bunch of hypocrites!" he snapped out loud, it was clear that he was more then a bit pissed off.

"Like seriously, think about it, you are all mad that there are heroes out there who you consider are fighting above the law, or don't answer to the laws of any country, but what the hell do you think SHIELD does? You can't technically enact anything since no country seems to be behind it, and no laws have passed in any country, or in the UN or anything like that, so what do you think the damn agency is now? Essentially a bunch of vigilantes who think they are above the law. You know the last agency that was like that? OMEN. Do you remember how that ended? Well guess what, SHIELD is heading the same way so screw you and everyone who is fine with this," he said directly to Hill, before glancing around at everyone else before he proceeded to leave the room and head back out into the hallway.

Why did people never listen? Why did it seem like everyone was perfectly fine with repeating history or the past? It was stupid! This sort of thing was never going to end well so why does everyone think it was going to? He completely agreed with the whole idea that the mandate and everything was stupid and not necessary, he was in total agreement with Rogers on that one. Flynn was beyond pissed off, punching the wall nearby in the hallway, glaring more or less, since he could tell this whole thing wasn't going to end well.

Sparky wasn't too sure what to think about everything regarding the whole, they needed to go chase after Captain America. A part of her was a bit uneasy regarding this whole thing, not to mention she really wanted to just not really go on any missions. She really just wanted to spend most of her time at least trying to find Raynor, but she knew that odds were against her for being able to do that. The best that she could do right now was to try and focus on the mission at hand, even if it seemed more then a bit strange, and probably a really bad idea completely. Nothing really made much sense to her, but she didn't really care at all.

"I'm in, I guess," Sparky said softly, glancing around at everyone else in the room before Flynn seemingly went a bit crazy, yelling a bit about the whole idea being idiotic. She shifted a bit uncomfortably at the whole thing as Flynn stormed out of the room and back out into the hallway. "Can we just get going if we are going to please?" Sparky added quietly, looking over at a few of the others, not too sure how they were going to react to Flynn's outburst. It probably was going to hit Bonnie somewhat hard if she had to guess, but she wasn't going to say anything about it.

Well, that was the reddest flag possible if he'd ever seen one. The council wanted to do something about him, for no other reason than his parentage. That put him between a rock and a hard place. If he didn't help, then that could push things to the point that they arrested him anyway, and if they managed to arrest Captain America, they might feel empowered to take him down as well. This made it clear that it was only a matter of time before he'd be in a jail cell. He'd need to figure out the best path forward, but the first step was clear at least, "Well, I guess I'm in then." He said, clearly unhappy about the situation.

As Flynn stormed out, he huffed. If there was one thing to make this entire situation worse, it was him being right about something. Taking a chance however, he looked at Hill and said, "I'd appreciate though, Director, if you didn't call me that again. Thanos may have provided half of my genetic code, but make no mistake, I'm not his son." There was a kind of vitriol in his voice at this point, though it wasn't at Hill per say, more so it was triggered by her having the gall to call him that. He hated hearing his name, having people stare at him for it, like he choose to have that monster as a parent.

Bonnie Chase & Amelia Baptiste

Location: the Triskelion - Conference Room
Skills: Quebecois (reading/writing)
A little bit of tension left Amelia as the other newcomer - Asokho - came into the room. It was nice to not be the only one completely out of the loop, but she had to admit, she wasn't thrilled about being stuck on a team with a bunch of white people. Seeing another person that looked like her and was just as confused with talk of intergalactic warlords was a blessing. Yet apparently, that was as far as the blessing went, her jaw dropping as Asokho denounced Captain America as an enemy of S.H.I.E.L.D. Was this the Twilight Zone? Amelia pinched herself experimentally. She could rule out dreaming at least.

One of her new companions whispered to her an explanation as to just who Thanos was. "He's the cunt who gave me my powers?" Amelia whispered. She whistled a bit. Maybe impressed. Maybe horrified. She didn't have a chance to even begin to properly process this when the white guy got up, started screaming, and then rushed from the room. She flinched slightly when she heard him punch the wall in the hallway. She agreed with him mostly - except for the country backing S.H.I.E.L.D. That was the United States. And unless President Jakobsen told Hill no, she could enact whatever policies she wanted for her agency. S.H.I.E.L.D. generally existed above the checks and balances the other agencies had.

Bonnie's blood went cold when Flynn screamed at all of them and then fled the room. Her fingers were numb and she had to make a conscious effort to breathe. She didn't like the idea that her boyfriend raging like this could do something like this to her... but Flynn never had made Bonnie the target of one of his rants before. She had only just started to really trust him and let him in, taking so long to heal from the death of her husband James. She hadn't handled it well. She had been institutionalized.

Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf dix, Bonnie recited mentally. She went through the list of numbers again and again, focusing on the repetition of the rhythm. She hadn't felt this... this helpless in a long time and she was desperately clinging to the techniques the doctors had instructed her to use. Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf dix, She wasn't American - she was French Canadian, growing up speaking Québecois before English. The nuns at the Catholic school hit them with rulers if they used anything but la langue française.

"He was here last," Hill answered Cass, gesturing towards the shattered window. "He has an apartment nearby, it'd be a good place to start. You'll need to hurry though. Rogers won't have an easy time hiding and living on the run, but that doesn't mean he won't try." She then glanced at Oliver, her eyebrows furrowed in irritation. "Noted, Agent. I'll inform the Council that the security risk to the planet is mitigated as you have disowned Thanos as your father." Hill then told them the address of Captain America's apartment in Washington D.C.

Location: Triskelion - Conference Room
Skills: Psychometry

Niah frowned. She was in agreement with Flynn. SHIELD shouldn't be above the law. If Captain America was against it too... She paused. She could potentially know what he had said exactly. Niah didn't use her power of Psychometry often. It wasn't always a reliable power, but when it worked it had been intense. Under the table, Niah slowly took off her glove and touched the table. She didn't want Hill to know that she was trying to get a neutral view. Niah wanted to know exactly what happened. Every contact leaves a trace, more so for her than most people

First, she got a flash of the pair of them talking about the policies. Rogers called them immoral, and Hill's response was asking for his compliance or his resignation. Rogers then said "Compromise where you can. Where you can't, don't. Even if everyone is telling you that something wrong is something right. Even if the whole world is telling you to move, it is your duty to plant yourself like a tree, look them in the eye, and say, 'No, you move'." The phrase gave her chills. Then Rogers threw his shield and hit Hill in the face before jumping out the window.

Niah blinked as she came back to herself and slipped her glove back on. She looked at Hill and saw a bruise that was forming. Niah was surprised that was the worst Hill was getting from the shield to the face. She wanted to say something, to make a scene as Flynn had, to quote Rogers to the group and see who was with him. There were a couple of things she thought about saying, like referencing the Australia mission, but not everyone in the group knew what happened there. She needed to say something that Hill wouldn't understand but they all would or wait. Niah decided to wait. She could bide her time. Niah couldn't even text Flynn a clue as to where her heart was with this situation because he hadn't been there in Australia.

Matt nodded at Oliver, giving him a bit of reassurance. It was good that he renounced anything to do with Thanos, but he was surprised that he had to. Matt had figured that it had been clear from his actions on the Moon that he had no desire to have anything to do with Thanos. Also, Thanos had wanted to kill him not to recruit him. Matt could understand being nervous about Oliver if he had had to make a choice to joining Thanos or not, but that hadn't been the situation.

Matt wasn't surprised when Flynn stormed out. He had been expecting it from the hot-headed agent almost since Matt had joined the Secret Warriors. He glanced at Cass. He wondered if she would go after him since Bonnie wasn't. Then looked to Hill as she gave the address. "We should get going. If we beat Rogers to his place we might be able to get him by surprise." Matt said. He didn't want to step on Cass's toes so he waited to see if she had something to say before standing.

Cassandra Reed

Location: the Triskelion - Conference Room -> Hallway
Skills: N/A

Cassandra could feel the tension in the room starting to buildup rather quickly looking at everyone in the room especially Amelia and Kwassi. This wasn't really how she imagined her first time starting off a mission with her leading the team, she didn't really count her initial promotion before they went off to the Moon again to fight against The Black Order. Then Flynn suddenly snapped at everyone in the room, she could easily understand why Flynn was angry, she didn't like their orders going after Captain America at all.

She looked over at Bonnie gently resting a hand on her friend's shoulder in a comforting way Bonnie was like a sister to her. Cass would try and get a moment to talk to her privately, Bonnie had been there for her when she was sick with M-Pox to. Flynn just needed sometime to try and cool off, and made a note to try and talk to him. Cassandra was the one to recruit Flynn to SHIELD when OMEN got defunct, she didn't even like the way SHIELD was turning right now either.

Even Oliver seemed really annoyed when Hill poked him about his father being Thanos as well. "We'll head out immediately then." Cassandra said to Director Hill while looking over at everyone else. "Lets head off then, if anyone has any questions feel free to ask them along the way." She said, Cass didn't like this anymore than anyone else but they could have a chance to maybe question Captain America whenever they do make contact with him.

Maria Novikova

Location: the Triskelion - Conference Room -> Hallway
Skills: N/A

Maria stared at Flynn when he made his angry outburst which she could easily understand why he did it as well, Maria looked over at Director Hill for a moment, and then over at Oliver as well before Flynn stormed out of the room. She looked over at Cassandra she didn't envy her position right now either. She started to think about Novi, she had a baby on the way as well to and she didn't want her wife to get caught up in the middle of it all either. "I'm fine with going right now." Maria said as she started to move towards the door to follow Flynn out as well before taking out her phone and texted her wife along with the memo that she had gotten from Director Hill and every other agent in SHIELD.

To Novi:
Hey, love i'm pretty sure I know how you feel about all of this and thought i'd let you know whats going on and I don't like this honestly. I'm not sure of you guys have talked with Rogers yet but the team is going after him. And if theres anything I can do to help let me know to.

Maria quickly hit send and slipped her phone back into her pocket and quickly ran over to catch up to Flynn, and gently rested a hand on his shoulder. "Hey, I know you don't like whats going on either I don't either, if you want backup or anything I got you." Maria said, she had just texted her wife with what has been going on going against Director Hill's orders she was pretty sure that she was going to get canned for this as well to.

Kwassi Asokho

Location: Conference Room > Hallway
Skills:

It appeared to him that a majority of those assembled were ready and willing to go. Whether that was a compliment to Hills status and the trust they placed in her, or a commentary on how vicious and terrifying she must be to all of them had yet to be seen. His eyes darted from person to person as they each spoke up and stated they were going on into the mission. Matt seemed to direct his attention towards him, offering him some guidance on who his leader would he during this excursion and shifting Kwassi's attention to Cassandra Reed. As if reading a file his eyes fixated on her and the words began to appear around her. Cassandra Reed: Age: 28 Class: Mutant Powers over seasonal manipulation and the mind and body of a tank. A communications major unlike any other. A snall smile formed on the corner of his lip as he took another sip. She would be a formidable leader and a great asset. His mindscape was broken when Agent Flynn began to throw a tantrum in the room. He knew his powers of fire were hot but he hadnt expected his temper to be. There was a time and place for those forms of outbursts and this was certainly one of them.

It was like watching someone take a bullet for another. Flynn single handedly placed a target on his back for speaking out for what he believed in, something Captain America would easily do. And in doing so he paved the way for other Agents to falter in their resolve and see there is the option to fight and defect. Now the question was who stood by his side? And were they smart enough to play the game. S.H.I.E.L.D. was a massive organization and as Kwassi had stated before, they could make examples of Captain America. What they needed to do was work from the inside and root out the corruption to save the ideals. Flynn promptly left the room and surprisingly without a single burst of flames. Director Hill calling Agent Sullivan by a potentially derogatory name was another nail in her coffin. It was polarizing and seeing them all fall apart was almost too much to bear...almost.

Kwassi made a mental note to speak to Agent Bautista later, alone. See if she could use her powers to put them in the room where it happened so to speak. Once Agent Reed had told them it was time to go and Director Hill seemingly said her piece, Kwassi gave Agent Sullivan a look that said i want to speak to you, before heading out of the meeting room in a light jog in an attempt to catch up to his missions lead. "My apologies for my absence in the meetings start, I hope I can do more to show you my resolve on the field. Agent Asokho, I look forward to seeing your leadership in action." He gave her a quick salute, his pace slowing slightly so that he trailed just behind her.

Yup, he definitely was feeling like he was surrounded by idiots considering how everyone else seemed perfectly fine with all of this still. Just why? Why were people just perfectly fine following orders blindly? He'd been that sort of person once, listening without a problem, going head first into whatever sort of situation he was told to without question. Then of course everything more or less went horribly wrong with that and he learned the hard way how things like that tended to end. It never was going to end well, and he knew it.

He didn't even acknowledge when it seemed like what was going on in the conference room was over. Flynn was still annoyed and just flat out wanting to ignore everyone else's existence in general. That definitely was a lot easier said then done when Maria walked over to him and he just shrugged her hand off of him, "Get the hell away from me if you don't want to end up with a horrible burn on your hand," he grumbled towards her, before he started walking away from her in general, really not wanting to talk to anyone. Everyone seemed perfectly fine with this, so why should he be nice with anyone else at the moment?

Sparky wasn't too sure what to really say towards everyone else. She felt somewhat bad for Bonnie given the current situation, since her boyfriend just snapped at them all about everything. "Might I point out that Rogers is probably a lot faster then the rest of us, and had a head start... Odds are he already beat us there and is long gone, that's just my take on it..." she said towards Matt mainly, since he suggested they might be able to get there before Rogers did. "We can at least see if we can find anything there that could help us find him..."

That was all she really said about it, since odds were that Rogers was already long gone and probably heading out of the city if he was smart about it. Though who really knew what was going through the mind of Captain America, anything could happen. A typical person on the run would skip town quickly, but this was a national hero, so who was to say that he'd do the normal thing when he's fought aliens and such before? Sparky headed out into the hallway, seeing that Flynn was still there and at least hadn't immediately ran off to go do something reckless, which was probably a good thing.

Bonnie Chase & Amelia Baptiste

Location: the Triskelion - Conference Room
Skills: Aerokinesis
Cass placing a hand on Bonnie's shoulder instantly helped her to ground herself, stopping the avalanche of uncertainty and panic. She needed to focus on her work, not her emotional traumas and the ripples she still felt from James' death. Maybe whatever had happened to her back in February had increased her inner discipline and concentration. She had been so busy with the M-Pox project and then catching up on other projects that she hadn't managed to conclusively diagnose herself beyond having received abilities similar to what those with a super-soldier serum would have gained.

"You can count on us, Director Hill." Bonnie got up from her seat, mentally running through everything she knew about Rogers. He was the type to sacrifice himself for the betterment of others. His moral strength could be exploited as a weakness. She didn't want to endanger innocent lives in some sort of mad gamble, she wasn't a psychopath, but maybe they could play some mind games with Rogers if they had to subdue him... Maybe Sparky would be willing to make some more Life Model Decoys to be innocent bystanders endangered by a brawl between S.H.I.E.L.D. and Rogers.

"I hope so - we need a win," Hill replied.

Amelia was incredibly uncomfortable still with all of this. She imagined that Cass needed her to fly a jet quickly to get to Captain America's place - or to follow him from the sky. If she refused, they'd just find another pilot and Steve Rogers would be in chains by the end of the day. She wasn't usually an underhanded person - she liked to be bold and direct, sneaking around and conspiring just wasn't her style. In fact, it wasn't like her at all - she was impulsive and spunky, a thrill junky, a daredevil. She wasn't the sort of person to pretend to go along with something and change her mind.

"Y'know, everyone here is acting like a bunch of bogans, so I think I'm gonna bail. There's a buckleys chance you're right, but I'd bet on Cap still. Don't go crook on me for this, but... I quit. Seeya!" She went to rush over to the shattered window, tripping over one of the chairs in the process and landing sprawled on the floor on all fours. "I meant to do that." She then tried to do a flip, only it was a bit clumsy and uncoordinated, so she more looked like a flightless bird as Amelia fell through the opening and began to plummet down to the ground.

"AAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Amelia screamed - not out of fear, but sheer delight. The wind was zipping by her ears creating a gigantic whoosh of sound as she fell. She went spread eagle as to slow her fall, feeling the currents of the air around her. Once she was about twenty feet above the ground, she manipulated the air and pushed up, rapidly changing direction. She soared higher and higher until her momentum gave out and she was weightless for a moment, before going back into free fall.

She landed in a pond in front of the Triskelion, upsetting a family of ducklings. The mother duck hissed at her. "Oh, rack off."

Back up in the conference room, Bonnie struck her face with her palm. She sighed a bit before rushing out into the hallway, catching up with Cass and the other new agent. "Baptiste just defected. We're down a pilot. Again... She yeeted herself out the window."

Niah didn't blame Baptiste, heck she wished she could do the same thing, but the path she was choosing was a more subtle one. She followed after Bonnie into the hallway with the others. She wondered if she should say it now, or wait till she thought they were in a place without cameras that SHIELD controlled, at least on the Quinjet, though Niah knew that wasn't totally safe. Niah was considering treason and she wasn't even an American Citizen.

As she moved past Flynn she wanted to say something to let him know that she was, shockingly, on his side. That she agreed with him. That he would understand, but no one else would. He was the only person left on the team who remembered the Age of Ultron, everyone else had been replaced by a Skrull. That was an uncomfortable thought. Raynor and Carter had both been with her, but they were gone. Missing or worse.

"Flynn," She paused she had no idea what she could say to him. Her voice was soft. There was only one thing she could think she could say to him that he might be able to guess what she meant but no one else would catch. "I'm going to use the bathroom." It was what she had said before leaving him and the others behind to talk to Pym. She hoped that Flynn would remember that, that he would remember it had been her way of splitting from the group to get things done. To save the world. Niah glanced at Maria who was standing near Flynn, but she shouldn't get it. It should be nonsensical to anyone else, more importantly to SHEILD.

Niah didn't give him a chance to respond, she kept moving toward the hanger. It had to be a passing comment. It couldn't lead to conversation. Flynn had to figure out what she meant, if he did that was good, if not well maybe they'd laugh about how stupid it had been later.

Location: Triskelion - Conference Room -> Hallway -> Hanger
Skills:

"Cass can fly the quinjet to DC at least. We can worry about a pilot later." He looked to Sparky, "Or we can find our original." He hadn't quite cared for Raynor, the guy was more unapproachable than Flynn. However, he didn't understand why SHIELD hadn't let them start looking. There had to be some leads. It sort of reminded him how SHIELD had written off Sparky and Ryanor when they ended up in the quantum realm. He hadn't been there for that, but he had learned about it.

Matt continued on to the Hanger. He didn't hear Niah say she was going to use the bathroom. Matt was thinking of tactics and how they could hope to have a chance against Captain America. If he could get close enough to touch his skin then maybe they'd be able to bring in a paralyzed Captain America. A shot from one of the ICERs might slow Rogers down enough for Matt to get into range.

Cassandra turned to look at Kwassi as he came over to address her, and apologize for being late to the meeting she wasn't sure why he was even late in the first place but that didn't really matter he was here right now. "That's fine, you are here now." She said as Cassandra continued to make her way over towards the hangar looking at Kwassi for a moment. "Also if you have any questions about the mission or the team feel free to ask as well." She said when Bonnie came over to catch up to the two of them, closing her eyes letting out a little groan hearing that Amelia decided to jump ship, which Cass didn't even blame her for either. "Looks like i'm back to being the taxi driver for everyone again." She said, Cass didn't really mind piloting the Quinjet at all she had flown them to the moon and back, back in February when they fought against the Black Order.

Cassandra did want to help Sparky find out where Raynor was she hadn't really had time to find out any leads where he was either since that time either and she promised Sparky to help find him as well. She made it towards the hangar and started to make her way over towards the Quinjet looking at everyone who was there. The mission itself was really messed up and having to go after Captain America himself as well which she didn't like and she wasn't even an American either before deciding to address the team.

"I know that the mission is far from ideal from what we have done before, but Agent Baptiste decided to not join the mission." She said looking at everyone Cass could feel the tension from some people some of them she had known from day one. "Some of you have been on the team since day one, while some of you guys have only been apart of the team for a few months and for one of you it's your first day on the team. I'm not going to force anyone to go on the mission if they don't want to. And i'll completely understand as well if you guys want to opt out of the mission, just let me know." Cass said, the team was almost like a second family to her, she didn't want to force anyone to do something that they were uncomfortable with doing. She still had her orders and she was still going to go through with them.

Maria Novikova

"You know I can heal pretty quickly right?" Maria said to Flynn, she had nearly all her bones in her body broken back in Cardiff when she fought against Black Dwarf by herself really. And she was still alive and well pretty much, and a burn from Flynn wouldn't hurt her really either. Maria still hadn't gotten a reply from her wife yet, which was kind of weird but Novi was probably busy as well to it was still the morning after all on the West Coast. Maria continued to make her way over towards the hangar and looked at Niah when she mentioned going to the bathroom, but she was still making her way towards the hangar.

"You do know that the bathroom isn't in the hangar right Niah?" Maria called out to Niah as she made it into the hangar looking over at Cassandra as she spoke, she didn't get the reference that Niah had made really. Maria already had her mind made up with everything she had already texted her wife everything that was going on, and was willing to help her right away as well her family was still very much important to her. Maria looked at Flynn to see what he would do.

Flynn had a half mind to go jump out the window after Amelia, since she seemed to be the most sane person so far and he had just met her moments before. This whole situation made absolutely no sense, at all, and no one seemed to really be giving a damn. Cass mentioning potentially letting people stay behind he almost took her up on that, but figured he might as well go, since then at least he'd know where Captain America, and maybe even help him out if it ended up coming to that. Was he perfectly fine with betraying SHIELD? If he was being perfectly honest, he definitely was.

Hearing Niah's words, to say that he was more then a little confused at first was more then a small understatement. "Why the hell are you telling me that?" Flynn said towards her, however, when he thought back to it, something stuck out about that sentence. It took him a few moments to realize what it was that she was saying towards him, or why, but the last time she had really announced the need to go to the bathroom (which was more then a bit random given everything) was when she had taken off and talked to Pym during the Age of Ultron timeline. "Bit random don't you think?" he added, but he had a small part of him that was hoping it meant that she was on his side regarding this whole situation. Though that was a bit of a stretch all things considering.

"...Niah you also didn't think to go before we went into the conference room?" Sparky said softly, glancing towards her friend wondering what was going through her head. Of course nothing was really going through her mind, she wasn't even really paying much attention to what everyone was saying, or what all was really going on around her. Her mind was wandering more and more, and she was beginning to truly think that she didn't really want to go on the mission after Captain America, at least not right now. There were more then a few other things on her mind at the moment that she thought were more important.

When she heard Cass' words regarding potentially allowing people to stay behind if they wanted to and to not go, Sparky walked over to Cass, following along after everyone else, until she was right by her. "...If you don't mind can I stay behind?" she asked her somewhat quietly. If she stayed at the base, then maybe she'd be able to figure out what happened to Raynor and find him. She wanted nothing more then to find him already and to bring him back, and she hasn't had the time to do so before now. With the others gone off to go find Steve Rogers, she could spend the time to do it, with or without anyone else's help.

Oliver Sullivan

Location: the Triskelion - Conference Room -> The Hangar
Skills: N/A

Oliver consciously had to keep himself from glaring at Hill. Like, yes, him hating his father should dissuade a lot of fear that they had. Thanos burned his city, did they think Oli was just gonna be okay with that? If one thing was made clear by this comment, it's that Hill was not being rational by any means. He couldn't be taking marching orders from her when she was like this; listening to angry people who wanted to control others was how a country descended into fascism, and he wasn't about to help with that. As he thought of this, Baptiste peaced out, crashing through a window, and his eyes widened. That was a bold move to say the least, but he wouldn't not be joining her immediately.

Even with his powers, he wasn't a fighter, and open defiance would not end well for him. He'd stay with the team for now, but he'd do what he could to gain more information on why Hill was acting like this, and what he exact plans were. He was a computer scientist and a mathematician first, a speedster second, and he had to remember that if he wanted to be effective. No, instead, as Cass announced that they could opt out if they wanted, Oliver smiled and said, "Count me in, I gotta show I'm not a traitor to an evil space emperor, right?" There was a part of him that had a kind of burning anger about the fact that Hill even thought that was possible, so he didn't mind leaking that, it was a reasonable thing to have.

Kwassi Asokho

Location: Hallway > Hangar
Skills:

Kwassi smiled at Agent Reed as she addressed him. Nodding along in affirmation that he was in fact here now and that that was what truly mattered. There was a slight jerk to his walk as he heard that Baptiste had opted to leave the mission via window. Her file wasn't as extensive as the others had been, however he was fairly sure there was flight somewhere involved. Not only as the pilot but as a power in and of itself. It was a bold, and otherwise stupid move, however it showed her feelings and intentions as she symbolically left out of the same window Director Hill had mentioned Captain America did. It appeared Flynns numbers were already increasing. "No questions thus far Agent Reed. I have a few paralytic's on me that may help to slow him down if need be. They haven’t been tested on super soldiers but im sure they'll come in handy."

Theresa Sparks seemed to join the pair, letting Reed know that she was staying behind. Was her emotions leaning towards defecting too? Or did she just not feel right for the mission? Kwassi would have to see how it played out. However, their leaders message about how they could choose to stay behind or follow through with a less than ideal mission allowed for him to speak freely and hope that Flynn and others may understand his position. "I will do what ever is right Agent Reed. I will follow you onto this mission." He hoped the hot headed jock was bright enough to realise those were two separate statements. One stating he would do what he felt was correct in regards to Captain America, and another stating he would follow Reed into this excursion.

Bonnie Chase

Location: the Triskelion - Hallway -> Hangar -> Quinjet
Skills: Blessing of Athena, Intuition
Bonnie couldn't help but be confused when Niah announced she was going to use the bathroom - and that she called Flynn's attention to it specifically beforehand. A few possibilities whizzed through her mind rapidly as she tried to figure it out. She quickly dismissed the notion that Niah was inviting Flynn to join her in the restroom for some risque activity. Niah wouldn't hurt her like that. She didn't know about Flynn though, not after he yelled at her in the conference room.

Un deux trois quatre cinq six sept huit neuf dix...

The idea that Niah wanted Flynn to know about her bowel movements was equally perplexing. The only things that made sense was that maybe Niah wanted Flynn to go off somewhere so she could shout at him for shouting - but why would Flynn willingly do that? He didn't willingly do much. There was some secret there being kept, that was what Bonnie had to conclude. And then out of the corner of her eye, she saw a barn owl for a split second, only for it to vanish.

"Just try not to get a speeding ticket," she teased Cass gently, as her best friend announced she was going to have to be the taxi driver for the team. While Bonnie didn't doubt that Amelia was a terrific pilot, it was nice having someone she knew and trusted behind the wheel on a mission like this. There was so much tension among people she had known for over a year, it was like seeing the fault lines before an earthquake. In the hangar, she stood next to Cass outside of their quinjet, avoiding making eye contact with Flynn. She could perform an emotional autopsy later - it was too late for surgery she feared.

She then got onto the quinjet and took the seat closest to the pilot's chair, that way she could support Cass however needed. They really needed to get a move on, Captain America probably was going to be long gone by the time they got to his apartment, but maybe Niah would be able to give them some clues as to where he went using her powers. Of course, they could always do old fashioned detective work sans powers if needed.

There was a bathroom on the quinjet for Niah to use. It was towards the back and Bonnie was staring in that direction, watching to see what would happen.

Amelia Baptiste

Location: the Triskelion - Duck Pond
Skills: Aerokinesis
The duck pond wasn't very deep - it was fairly shallow, maybe three feet of water at most. Amelia was grateful for that, as despite her daredevil tendencies, she had never learned how to swim. Water never had much pull for her, her ambitions had always been directed up towards the sky and beyond. Her persistent daydream upon joining S.H.I.E.L.D. was to fly space missions like in Star Wars, weaving in and out in a large battlefield, gunning it and trying to be a leaf on the wind.

She hugged her knees to the chest in the pond, just thinking for a moment. All of the ducks were congregating as far away from her as they could. She had been in some form of military unit for the past decade - and she had just quit S.H.I.E.L.D. She hadn't just refused the mission, no, she had quit. She was free of all obligation and responsibilities. Amelia felt the air currents moving around her, so free and flowing, without a care in the world.

She got up out of the pond and shook her legs a bit, trying to get as much water off as she could. "That's wicked," she gushed as she sent a large blast of air down at her pants, drying them almost instantly. She then started moving towards the hangar, so that way she could get the love of her life, Quimbey, and figure out what she was going to do next.

Location: Hanger -> Qunjet (bathroom)
Skills:

Niah's face was hot. It seemed everyone had heard her. That was embarrassing and the only thing she could do was just go to the bathroom and hope they'd let it drop. God, she hoped that Flynn had got what she was trying to tell him. Niah went through the motions of using the bathroom. She splashed a bit of water on her face after she finished washing her hands. Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to go back into the field.

Niah had always wanted to work in a lab, and take her skills to the field. She wanted both worlds. She wanted to make things better. After House of M she had been so broken and hurt that she just couldn't focus in the field. After Dalisy had attacked Niah realized it didn't matter if she was in a lab or the field bad things were going to happen. And she would rather be with the people she cared about providing back up then hiding in the lab and hoping she'd survive the day.

All of this was so complicated and morally ambiguous. Niah knew where she stood on the line though. She was against these laws.

Location: Hanger -> Quinjet

"Does you're paralytic have distance? Like can you put it in an ICER?" Matt asked Kwassi. "I only ask cause one of my abilities is paralytic touch. And that has proven to work on Deadpool. The downside of course being I have to touch the person to paralyze them." Matt thought back to Christmas. Nothing was simple with this group, not even Christmas.

Matt was thankful that his power hadn't gotten more powerful or changed when he went through his second Terrigenesis. Instead, he had gotten the ability to just know how weapons worked. Matt had played with the power a little since the trip to the moon, but even still he didn't know the full extent of it. Would it work for alien tech? It had worked for the staff, but that had seemed simple. What if it was a more complex weapon.

Cassandra Reed

Location: The Triskelion - The Hangar -> Quinjet
Skills: N/A

Cassandra looked at Sparky and nodded towards her, she wanted to find Raynor as soon as possible she took a moment and stared at both Bonnie and Matt, the two people on the team that she had cared for the most. If any of them were taken by the Skrulls or anyone for that matter she would have left her position to go out and find them and Cass would do just about anything to find them and make sure that they were brought home safely. "I understand, go and find him but if you find anything don't hesitate to call for help, and try not to go it alone either." Cass said.

Looking at everyone else the tension was still there but they seemed to be willing to go onto the mission for the time being as well and gave them a friendly smile and nod. She turned and made her way into the Quinjet taking her spot in the pilot's seat looking over at Bonnie who chose to take a seat closest to her and smiled a little bit at her joke. Cass started the preflight checklist making sure that everything was still in working order, and once everyone was inside of the quinjet she was about to close the troop bay door to see Maria was still outside.

Maria Novikova

Location: The Triskelion - The Hangar
Skills: N/A

Maria looked at Sparky for a moment and then watched as everyone else is going onto the Quinjet itself, Maria just didn't feel right about going on the mission itself. And she did go against Hill's orders by texting her wife what was actually going on, they would be fine without her. Sparky and Raynor were her friends after all and Maria didn't like the idea of having Sparky searching around for Raynor all alone either. "I'm going to stay behind and help Sparky out as well." Maria said towards Cass.

Which she nodded back towards her as Cass started to close the troop bay doors now as Cass started to pull out of the Hangar. "So, where are we heading?" Maria asked Sparky, she couldn't imagine Novi being taken by the Skrulls she thought and would leave SHIELD right away if they couldn't find her and she would have probably done it all by herself as well. Maria looked down at her phone for a moment she still hadn't heard back from her wife either.

Flynn still found Niah's choice of words regarding everything more then a little bit amusing, and everyone else's reactions to it were just as amusing. Hearing the conversation regarding Sparky staying behind or not was something interesting to listen to, and a part of him thought about maybe staying behind to help her, or something like that to just cool down and maybe stay out of trouble, but his mind was completely against that. It was racing, trying to think of the best way to deal with everything. Currently, at least to him, it seemed like the best thing for him to do was to go along, and maybe see about helping Captain America out as he went.

He took a seat towards the back of the Quinjet, away from everyone else, not really wanting to talk to anyone else, and considering his outburst not too long ago, it would make sense for no one to really want to talk to him either. That was perfectly fine with him, he didn't really want to talk to too many people at the moment anyway. Being alone to deal with his thoughts regarding the entire situation was better for him overall, and he didn't want to accidentally blurt out that he was seriously thinking about just turning his back on all of them since to him it seems like Captain Rogers was right.

Location: the Triskelion - The Hangar
Skills: N/A

"Thank you..." she said softly, giving Cass a small smile and nodding her head slightly as her mind kept wandering around to what it was that she was going to do regarding everything. Hearing that Maria was going to stick with her and help her out a bit made her smile towards her, glad that someone was going to stay with her. She wasn't sure what else to do, regarding everything, at least when it came to the whole Captain America situation. However she knew where she'd be able to start with this mystery, someone who had offered her help way back when it was discovered that Raynor was gone.

"Well, we're not going to be sticking around here that's for sure... They all get to go see about tracking down Captain Rogers, but we're not going to sit around here twiddling our thumbs. Nope we're going on a trip ourselves..." she said to Maria, looking over towards her entirely now. "We're heading for New York City, specifically the New York Sanctum to go talk to Doctor Strange. During the whole thing with Thanos he had offered to maybe see about using a tracking spell to maybe help out a bit with the search, so I was planning on going to see if that offer still stands."

Kwassi Asokho

Location: Hangar > Quinjet
Skills:

"Agent Moss, its as if you read my mind. The paralytic can be placed within an ICER. I was actually hoping that it would be capable of slowing Captain America down enough to allow you a window to use your powers. I don't have such abilities like you or the others aboard this mission. My weapon is my mind and my power is years of intensive training. I do look ever so forward to seeing you in action Agent Moss. Well all of you really." Kwassi boarded onto the quinjet and took the first available seat, being in the back near Flynn where he could keep an eye on most all thr agents. His gave turned to follow Bonnie, and then further towards the restroom where Agent Bautista was. The file on her didn't state if she had some form of OCD that forced her to tell others of her bowel movements but if that's the worst of it then they should be able to manage.

Kwassi had noticed as another Agent opted to stay behind. It appeared they were looking for another Agent, one missing in the field. He would be lying to say he wasnt the least bit interested in this mystery. Wishing he could be in more places then one as he sat back and buckled in. He closed his eyes and took in a deep breath. "So how do these missions typically go? I assume we will be following Agent Reeds point but beyond that is there some semblance of a plan?" Kwassi opened his eyes and looked about the quinjet as he awaited a response.

Oliver Sullivan

Location: The Hangar -> The Quinjet
Skills: Hacking

Boarding the Quinjet, Oliver took a seat and exhaled. He absolutely hated that this was the way he was spending the days leading up to his mom's death, but he felt like he just couldn't do anything about that. It was the worst dilemma in so many ways, he had three mutually exclusive options, all of which had their own benefits and massive drawbacks. He could stick with the agents on the Quinjet, and double cross when it came time, he could break off now and try to help Baptiste, or he could forgo all of this and be with his mother. One would ruin the trust these people had with him, one would put him in an immediately dangerous position, and one would mean he'd be useless all together.

Oliver wanted desperately to make the selfish choice, to save himself the endless grief that not getting closure on this part of his life would grant him, but he couldn't. He just... couldn't. He wasn't much for the fight itself, but there was one thing he knew and that was that he was raised to believe that if you were in the position to stop something bad from happening you had to give it your all to do so. He joined S.H.I.E.L.D so he could make a positive difference in the world, and at this point it felt like he had only done the exact opposite. He didn't know if he could say he blamed himself exactly for Cardiff, but he felt endlessly entangled with the destruction. His existence and that event were inseparably linked, and the only thing he could do to make up for it in anyway was to do some good.

Cracking open his laptop, he decided he needed more information. Luckily for him, he was made for information gathering and knew exactly where to find what he needed to know. He realized that what he was about to do was incredibly risky, but he refused to be a coward. Typing away, he hummed to himself as he hacked his way into Hill's private server. S.H.I.E.L.D security was good, but he was something else, and he knew quite a lot about their infrastructure when it came to this sort of thing. As he made his way in, he found roughly what he was looking for, and cloned a copy to his laptop, before cleaning up after himself and deleting any trace of his snooping. He wouldn't want to worry Hill with wondering why he was digging through her personal files, after all.

Bonnie Chase

Location: the Triskelion - Quinjet -> Roof of Steve Rogers' Apartment Building - Quinjet
Skills: Blessing of Athena, Perception, Intuition
Bonnie tilted her head slightly, noticing that Niah had been bright red before going into the bathroom. Flynn didn't join her inside, confirming that there wasn't anything sexual going on between those two. Had she been in a better mood, she would have intended on asking Niah once she finished up if she had washed her hands or not. But as it was, Bonnie kept fluctuating between focused and determined, and heartbroken and frustrated. Maybe romance just wasn't for her. She had already played both the blushing bride and the whimpering widow.

The only new agent to stick things out, Asokho, had taken a spot in the back by Flynn and the bathroom. Bonnie couldn't help but notice that everyone who had decided not to take on this mission was female. Oliver had his laptop out, typing away rapidly. Her thoughts flickered to Tempest, wondering what side of all of this she would have taken. She seemed like the rebellious type - she probably wouldn't have been willing to arrest the Sentinel of Liberty.

The quinjet they were using had stealth mode, so as Cass flew them to their destination, they blended in with their surroundings like a giant chameleon. Bonnie couldn't properly appreciate the views of the city, the Washington Monument jutting out into the sky. She kept running the numbers, wondering who would be the next one to defect, the next one to turn. She was trying to calculate down to the minute when Flynn would turn on them all - when he would use his flames to hurt them. To hurt her.

They landed on the roof of the apartment building. Rogers' was in unit #8, placing him on the top floor by the staircase. A S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Agent 13, lived in apartment #10 across the hall from him to watch him. Bonnie had to assume that Agent 13 was unavailable at the moment, since otherwise they would have had to rendez-vous with her. "Wh-what's the plan, boss?" Bonnie asked Cass, her voice cracking.

Amelia Baptiste

Location: the Triskelion - Hangar
Skills: N/A
Amelia's ears perked up, seeing the two agents standing around talking about visiting something called the New York Sanctum and actual magic. The name Thanos caught her attention too, having heard earlier that he was the reason she had her nifty powers over air. She didn't have anything better to do and she was pretty sure neither of the agents could fly or teleport. "Oi, mates, you're going to waste a buttload of money on an Uber - I'll take you to New York in Quimbey, provided I get to get in on whatever magic shenanigans you're doing. And crickey, if there's any fighting or lasers, I also get to help with that." She grinned, convinced that Maria and Sparky wouldn't turn her down. A quinjet had left the hangar already and she was willing to bet the rest of their team was on it, meaning they didn't have a ride.

"Also, Doctor Strange? Isn't he the occultist from the telly? The meme cunt?" Amelia asked. She had seen interviews with an ex-surgeon who claimed to have found himself in magic. They were usually put on YouTube and then made into hilarious autotuned songs and skits. SNL had even done one called Doctor, there's a demon in my belly! She cackled slightly just thinking about it. Strange had been played by Fred Armisen in that one - and the demon in the belly had been Alec Baldwin.
