I am going to visit my parents tomorrow and staying there till Tuesday. I might have time to write short posts, but I also might not. So if you dont hear from me, just assume that Elm is doing whatever a senior officer would do preparing for a mission, attending breefings, etc. You can even mention her, I dont have a problem with that.

Retcon it so in the hour between meeting the small ship and the large ship showing up, Cake/some other computer was working to decypher the language. Although now you have to explain how ISA and alien computers and communications are compatible... And telepathy is the same problem, but with biological computers...

As for interplanetary communication, we can give the Prize a broad range receiver that recognizes a large range of patterns within the light spectrum. When it detects one that is directed it could focus on that range and send back messages using the same signal frequency received.

That could probably be another survey team? One team for the forest and one for the ruins? And maybe Korax could coordinate them from the ship so he has something to do.

An astronomer to map the stars maybe.


I was thinking about that, but on the other hand he would be better off to stay on the ship with all the advanced scanners it has. You cant really see many stars in forest with hundred meters tall trees
