The Hallway Below Captain America's Apartment... The Daughter landed on her feet like a cat as Oliver phased her through the floor. She was caught temporarily off guard by his punch. "She's running out of time, kid. Tick tock, tick tock," the Daughter taunted. Almost seconds after she spoke, Oliver's phone would begin to vibrate with a call from the hospital his mother was staying at. "You can either stay here and fight me - or you can go say goodbye. Your choice."
Levittown, Pennsylvania... S.H.I.E.L.D. had been fighting a new war against HYDRA since that August, when they discovered HYDRA had infiltrated the agency. So far, neither faction had managed to gain the upper hand. Clint Barton's team had managed to hit a large source of financial backing for the Neo-Nazi organization, yet HYDRA had taken over several of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s bases and currently controlled one of its prisons, the Ice Box. Two of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s most wanted, the Fenris Twins, had been rumored to be hiding out in a safe house in Levittown, PA. S.H.I.E.L.D. had dispatched Agent Lungren to go undercover in the quiet suburbs to attempt to find the Fenris Twins (Andrea and Andreas von Strucker). They had set him up with a house - all the houses in Levittown were practically identical - and a cover story.
His home was outfitted with monitors as well to alert him to any suspicious activity. Currently, one of these machines was beeping rapidly, alerting him that there were three U.F.O.'s up in the sky, rapidly approaching Levittown.
Bonnie Chase
Location: Hallway Outside Agent 13's Apartment
Skills: Blessing of Athena, Perception, Intuition, Hand to Hand Combat, Throwing Knives
With the Aunt knocked unconscious, Bonnie and Cass' heads both would clear. However, the lingering sensation of a hangover headache would remain. Bonnie shook her head slightly, the last thing she remembered being the Aunt coming up and touching her head. Now, the hallway had devolved into chaos. Oliver was missing. The Aunt was on the ground underneath Cass. Only the four male attackers remained - and
Flynn. She came back to her senses just in time to see Flynn launching missiles somehow at Matt and attacking Asokho.
Two explanations came to mind - either Flynn was a HYDRA operative or an imposter. No one was going
hail HYDRA so she discounted that possibility. Besides, Flynn couldn't shoot missiles from his body. This had to be a shapeshifter or a Life Model Decoy.
"This isn't Flynn. It's an imposter," Bonnie almost growled, her eyes fierce with fury.
The Uncle sent a horrific tornado at Matt. The tornado slammed into Matt and sucked him up, before flinging him out at the ceiling. By some miracle, Matt missed a suspiciously jagged plank that would have skewered him. The Fates must have been watching out for him as he instead just hit his head lightly and fell back to the ground, not even breaking a bone.
The Younger Son was sparring with Agent 13. Strangely glowing pieces of metal were flying at her and she was nimbly dodging as many as she could, but there were too many. It was like a swarm of living metal. As each of piece cut her skin, the wounds were abnormal, a shade of blue rather than red.
The Older Son reached down to yank Cass off of the Aunt, only to suddenly dodge and move out of the way. A piece of the Younger Son's metal had gone wayward and had he not moved, he would have had a chunk of metal to the face. The Father wasn't playing around. He traced his hands in front of him, making a triangle like shape, and then pushed forward. Sand came in from out of nowhere, forming the gigantic body of a hydra. The hydra targeted Cass, Niah, and Bonnie, with Bonnie ducking out of the way in time and the hydra missing Niah pathetically. It showered Cass with flames, her dermal armor protecting her mostly except for her hair catching on fire as the other heads of the hydra roared.
The hallway was incredibly cramped, not giving anyone much room to move. There was a reason fights in enclosed spaces like this tended to be so deadly. Bonnie bit her lip, knowing that the hydra could just as easily kill them by stepping on them as it could by breathing flames. She didn't have time to think about Flynn or what might have happened to him, just knowing that whatever thing was wearing his skin wasn't him.
She stared at the Father, trying to figure out if he had to concentrate in order to keep the hydra alive. Her distraction was a near fatal error. The Older Son darted forward and shoved Bonnie, sending her over the railing of the stairs and into a free fall.
Amelia Baptiste
Location: the Skies Over Levittown -
2:52 PMSkills: Aerokinesis, Perception, Intuition, G-Force Stamina
Amelia tilted her head in confusion, embodying the energy of a curious golden retriever puppy for a brief moment.
"If it's so small you can't see it, how did you get in there then? I'm no dag, but that doesn't make a lick of sense to me. Unless you found a bottle that said drink me and you just went bottoms up until you kicked it?" she asked.
She then tilted her head in the other direction as Maria suggested doing
trust falls in the air. Truthfully, it was a mad idea and she loved it. It was bold and dangerous. But even as an adrenaline junky, Amelia firmly believed in consent. Sparky didn't seem to have wanted to do this, kicking at Maria, and now she was plummeting rapidly towards the ground. From above,
Levittown, Pennsylvania looked like a real life Whoville, with all of the houses identical and placed in neat, predictable patterns.
"Crack the shits, that ain't cool, mate! You can't force people into things they don't want to do!" Amelia made a rapid turn, pulling several g's of force. Had she not been an experienced pilot, it would have been enough to make her lose her lunch. She dove after Sparky, narrowly missing her hand. That didn't deter her though, as Amelia sharply navigated her glider straight up and then right back down, forming a loop in the sky, as she shot after Sparky and caught her with her free hand. The sudden change in acceleration would be enough to jolt Sparky back to consciousness, and luckily, nothing broke. Amelia continued to glide forwards, one hand on the glider, the other keeping Sparky from dropping to the ground.
They had dropped about 5,000 feet, with only another 5,000 feet separating them from the ground.
"You alright, cunt?"
