Summary
There was a story of an ambitious Magi who stole the manifestation of the Holy Grail and transported it to Romania, where sixty years later, he declared his secession from the Magus' Association and revealed his possession of said Grail to provoke a war which will shake the heavens and the earth. That man was Darnic Prestone Yggdmillenia... And this is not his story.
For in this timeline, he who stole the Grail was stolen from, throwing off his plans for vengance upon his fellow Magi. Darnic the Thief found that it was his turn to suffer theft, and all he can do was fume, for the Grail disappeared so perfectly that he could not find out who had stolen it. Several years later, in 2021, a new faction arose in the south of Greece, where Sparta once stood - These men and women proclaimed themselves the Philosopher Kings, harbingers of a world where Magi ruled over Mortals, and the Supernatural ruled over the Mundane.
And they had the Holy Grail - All they needed was a Holy Grail War to power it. And so Anastasios Palaiologos, leader of the Philosopher Kings, sent out a challenge to the Magus' Association and Yggdmillenia, telling them in simple terms that if they wanted the Grail, to 'come and get it!'.
Long story short, Anastasios and the Servant he summoned, Altera, massacred the initial forces Yggdmillenia and the Magus' Association sent, but not before those forces succeeded in activating the 'reserve system' of the Greater Holy Grail, allowing for the summoning of a whopping 21 Servants, allowing seven masters from the Magus' Association, Yggdmillenia, and the Philosopher Kings to fight it out to win the Spartan Holy Grail War!
Yes, I, Letter Bee, am running a Fate RP. And yes, 21 Servants and Masters is very ambitious, which is why the game only needs 3 Master-Servant Pairs from each side to actually start, with the rest being filled by NPCs until more players join. Here are the rules:
Rules:
1.) No Gilgamesh, Enkidu, Karna (Except as a Rider or Saber), or Heracles. No King Hassan, Alcides, and Quirinus, either. Or Merlin. Basically, if it's as powerful as any of the listed Servants, it is forbidden for Players' PC choices. 2.) No Powergaming or Godmoding. Metagaming is allowed only if you have Divination Magecraft or other forms of 'flawless' info-gathering. 3.) Be nice to others as well as the GM and Co-GMs. 4.) Players who leave or drop out will have their characters controlled by the GM and Co-GMs. 5.) Dead Apostles and Half-Demons exist in this setting but only the Philosopher Kings can have them as participants. 6.) You can only have the usual seven Servant Classes while GM NPCs have Shielder and Ruler. That means no Avengers, Foreigners, Savers, and none of your own Shielders and Rulers. 7.) Greek, Roman, and Byzantine Servants will not get a staging ground bonus from being summoned in Greece. 8.) New Rule: From now on, all New Character Sheets require 3 Approvals from the Main GM and Co-GMs to be fully permitted to play. Also, Co-GMs can override or put a moratorium on Main GM decisions if they feel like they are bad for the game itself.

_________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Patroclus Title: Scourge of Troy Class: Berserker Gender: Male Alignment: Lawful Neutral Height / Weight: 6'0 Source: The Iliad _________________________________________________________________________________________ Personality: In life, he was a kind and wise man that mentored Achilles. There was no one as compassionate as him; when his comrades were killed, he wept for them and sought revenge against the Trojans. However, he also was known for his anger that resulted in deaths, albeit some were accidental, and would later seek glory in combat when he was drunk on blood.
Being summoned into the Berserker-Class had only amplified anger and his desire for glory and frenzies of bloodlust, often ignoring the verbal commands of those around him. Despite this, Patroclus retain his ability to communicate with others and his sense of honor and loyalty. There are rare moments of gentle peace from him with a distant look in his eyes, longing for something that had since been long gone. Should he see someone that was from Troy, he will enter an enraged state and attack on sight.
Bio: His story did not have a glorious beginning, rather, it started with Patroclus accidentally killing another child in a fit of rage over a game. Fearful for his son his father, Menoetius gave his son away to the king of Phthia, Pelus, who would become the squire of his son, Achilles. From childhood to adulthood, Patroclus had always been by Achilles' side. They were mentors to each other, making up for each of their short comings through thick and thin. It would not have been any stretch of the imagination to say that Patroclus loved him and he was loved in turn beyond what could be called brotherly love. The two of them were inseparable.
They learned side-by-side from Chiron in the art of combat and when Achilles joined the Archaean Army's war efforts against Troy, he followed with every intention to help him succeed. It was at this point that Patroclus had began to build a name for himself for his valiant bravery and determination, earning admiration from his comrades and the ire of his enemies. There was a point when Achilles refused to participate due to feeling like he was insulted by the Greek leader, Agamemnon, in battle. The consequences were severe; many of their comrades were slaughtered senselessly and Patroclus begged to borrow Achilles' armor and lead his men into battle in his stead. He eventually conceded with the order that when the Trojans retreat to pull out, not knowing of the cruel fate that would fall upon them.
The Trojans were no match for Patroclus; he single-handedly turned the tide of the battle and killed the child of Zeus, Sarpedon, enraging the god. Zeus had caused Hector and his army to retreat and in a fit of vengeful bloodlust and a hunger for glory, Patroclus pursued and continued cut his way through to Hector. The two would duel, but it was a trap; the god Apollo removed Patroclus' senses, giving Hector the opening to land the killing blow. His last words were not him cursing his opponent, he warned him that Hector had sealed his own fate knowing that Achilles would avenge him.
Perhaps it was not entirely true that he was not bitter. He was cheated of his victory, cheated of his fame, and more importantly he was cheated of his life with Achilles, and yet when he woke up, he had earned his place among the Throne of Heroes for changing the tides of The Trojan War and for stepping up when Achilles refused. It was not long until Achilles was among the Throne of Heroes when they were reunited. Patroclus had all that ever needed.
Weapon: A sword-spear and a round Greek shield made of bronze though tainted black due to Mad-Enchantment. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Parameters: Strength: A Endurance: B+ Agility: A Mana: B- Luck: E- _________________________________________________________________________________________ Class Skills: Mad-Enchantment(B-Class): Rank up for all parameters, but takes away most of the Servant's sanity.
Personal Skills:
Paramore of Achilles(B): It is a widely accepted theory that Patroclus and Achilles were actually lovers and even in death, their ashes were mixed together so that they would be together, a connection so deep that it formed into this skill. Normally, Patroclus would be able to access and use only one of Achilles' Noble Phantasms at a single rank lower, but due to the Mad-Enchantment, they now drop by two full ranks and this skill can only be used once a battle.
Charisma(C-): Originally much higher, but due to the Mad-Enchantment it fell down several ranks. Patroclus led the Myrmidons in Achilles' stead when he refused to partake in the Trojan War and thanks to his efforts, pushed them back. Even as a Berserker, he has the ability to naturally convince others to follow him, or at the very least instill the desire for conflict and glory.
Battle Continuation(A): His determination and bravery was known far and wide and made him enemy of the Trojans during the war. He single handedly turned the tide of a losing battle and pushed the Trojans back and then against orders, followed them in pursuit and continued to kill them. It took the effort of both Apollo, who cursed him to lose his senses, and Hector of Troy to put him down. His stamina and tolerance for damage is incredible, if not reckless.
Twisted Fate(A): Rather than a skill, it is more of a curse that he was doomed to die in the Trojan War by decree of the Gods. His luck stat is dropped to its lowest point and cannot be increased, even with Mad-Enchantment. Should it somehow be lifted by something of the same level or higher his Luck stat would rise to A. _________________________________________________________________
NOBLE PHANTASMS
Title: Armor of Achilles Rank: A++ NP Type:Anti-Unit Range: N/A Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Description: A Divine Construct created by Hephaestus given to Achilles' father, Peleus, who then gave it to his son and later borrowed by Patroclus. A once beautiful set of divine armor gilded with gold and bronze had been tainted by the Mad-Enchantment, turning it into a suit of black, demonic fury.
It could be considered the strongest defense as anything below its rank nullifies physical and magic damage save for the mightiest attacks though anti-demon skills and Phantasms bypass this due to the tainted nature of the Phantasm. Aside from it being borderline unbreakable, it increases all of Patroclus' parameters by a single level.
Of course, there are two caveats to something this unreasonably powerful: it seals off his access to his other Noble Phantasm and Paramore of Achilles, and requires a staggering amount of energy to maintain on the Master's part since it will drain the them of their magic quickly, possibly killing the most powerful of magus. It is both a trump card and a last resort that should not be taken lightly.
Title: Sarpedon's Blood Rank: B+ NP Type: Anti-Unit/Anti-Army Range: 1-50 Maximum Number of Targets: Description: Named after the demigod of the same name, a son of Zeus, it is the crystallization of the moment of when Patroclus killed him in battle. It isn't a weapon, but rather, a blood-red light that cloaks the tip of a weapon or object, usually his spear, to create wounds that heal at a much slower rate. It is especially effective against those with a Divinity below the Phantasms' rank.
When saying its true name, its full power allows it to create a powerful explosion of red light though it must be used as a projectile or else it could wound even Patroclus. It will also destroy the object that is imbued with the Noble Phantasm.
Fighting Style: Being taught by Chiron alongside Achilles, Patroclus is a master of Pankration.
_________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Gerbertus Aureliacensis (Pope Sylvester II) Title: The Dark Pontiff Class: Rider Gender: Male Alignment: Neutral Good Height / Weight: 190cm, 85kg Source: _________________________________________________________________________________________ Personality: His inability to read the mood is beyond comparison, often resulting in the appearance of stoicism due to his perception of how a pope should remain regal at all times. Perhaps it would be better to compare him to a “man pretending to act human” rather than a human.
Sylvester will also always listen to Meridiana, regardless of what she says, and will act upon her will, as he was once told by one of the people in his monastery that a “ good husband always follows his wife”, and he wishes to replicate being a “good husband” to his loving wife, even if he doesn’t truly comprehend the emotion himself.
Meridiana, or Meri, as she asks to be called by Sylvester, tends to act as she wants as if she is a princess without any sort of restraint, of which Sylvester doesn’t seem keen on stopping. Regardless, she seems to not request many things from Sylvester, knowing that his sense of obligation often outweighs any rationale he might possess. According to Meridiana, there was nothing particularly special about when she had first met Sylvester, but that has changed.
One can compare their relationship to the nerdy guy who dates the Stacy and no one can figure out why. However, if there is one thing that is true about both of them, it is that they love one another greatly.
Weapon: His fist. His wife. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Parameters: Strength: D Endurance: C Agility: B+ Mana:B Luck:E _________________________________________________________________________________________ Class Skills: Magic Resist: B: Cancel spells of B-Rank or below.
Riding: EX: The ability to ride. However, to someone like Sylvester, who cannot seem to even ride even the most basic of things with any sort competency, or perhaps refuses to ride most anything, he might not qualify for a rider.
The truth of the matter is that he is only adept at riding a single entity…
Personal Skills: Jacob’s Limbs (False): A+
Perhaps not truly the fighting style developed by Jacob, however, it holds a similar effect. Surely someone who had at one time defeated the king of hell himself with little more than his fists. He could, however, not defeat him in the steel cage rematch 1v100 battle. This skill also applies to Meridiana.
The Hanging Bridge: -
The ability to create a possibility that neither exists on "heaven nor earth"; to make a 0 into a 1. To create a possibility out of nothing.
Battle Continuation B
Survived while being disemboweled by the devil for hours before being dragged into hell. The ability to survive with deadly wounds and persist through them, battling on. _________________________________________________________________
NOBLE PHANTASMS
Title: Meridiana, The Demonic Possession of a Sinful Pontiff Rank: A+ NP Type: Anti-unit Range: - Maximum Number of Targets: - Description: The greatest friend and lover to Pope Sylvester. The Woman who had made him from but a simple man, wasting his existence in a monastery, into the highest position in the Catholic church.
An ancient succubus, Meridiana was the sort of woman who never believed they would fall in love with such a man, but she couldn’t help her feelings once they started. Meridiana normally keeps herself attached to her Husband’s as a replacement for the right hand and left eye the devil had taken from him due to her ability to shapeshift. She vowed she would never forgive that man for his transgressions against her love, even if it meant revolting from hell itself.
Title: Meridiana, The Brazen Head Eye of Providence Rank: B NP Type: Anti-Unit Range:- Maximum Number of Targets:- Description: A calculation device of sorts that utilizes Yes (1) and No (0) in order to create appropriate responses based on interpretations of this data.
Though observation increases the speed at which the data can be converted into “information”, it is not necessary, for it would be active even if the user was to lose their eyes. Perhaps it could be closer to “revealing the truth of the world” rather than a conversion of data, but to someone like Sylvester, whom of which only thought of the world in his mathematical calculations prior to meeting Meridiana, it seems to have taken this effect.
It should be noted that the data cannot be “changed” but merely “observed”, but as long as it is possible to be “observed”, it should not be a problem to calculate. Something that interprets what “is”.
Some stories revolving around Sylvester conflate the two noble phantasms and the actions of Meridiana, thus, they have been supplemented into one. The truth is that Sylvester doesn’t require Meridiana to utilize this ability, but offloading information assists him in focusing during combat situations.
Title: Godhand, The Demonic Requiem of the Sinful Pontiff Rank:- NP Type: Anti-Unit Range:- Maximum Number of Targets:1 Description:Not particularly a "noble phantasm" per se, but a skill that had reached the level of a noble phantasm. To momentarily be granted power for a limited action that would allow a mere mortal to reach the level of the man who had pushed even the lord of hell Satan to his ropes, forcing him to cut a deal for his life. Though one does not have to state anything to activate the skill, due to his conditioning Sylvester often states the attack as he commits to it.
Fighting Style: He punches dudes. Typically really hard.
History: The Kubonekos were once a family of Shinto priests who watched over an ancient piece of spiritual land in the remote regions of Japan, a land rich with the souls of stray cats free to frolic, and "ruled" by the family's guardian spirit, a nekomata that served as the family's primary foundation into magecraft. Due to the nature of the Kubonekos' magecraft, they were forced to stay in the wilds as their minds had far regressed closer to that of animals. However, during the end of the Meiji era, their spiritual land was conquered and taken by an enterprising bloodsucker foreigner interested in the land’s geographic location, one the family was too weak to defend against. With their spiritual land pillaged and their incapability to fully adapt into human society, the Kubonekos would have been doomed to extinction if not for the intervention of the Holy Church, who sought out Eastern agents to root out the Dead Apostles of these foreign lands. Throughout the years, the Kuboneko family was moulded to serve one of the arms of the Holy Church, wild beasts of the Eastern lands trained to the service of God. And of course, it goes without saying, but being away from their spiritual home caused the Kuboneko magecraft to deteriorate as each new heir devoted their life in service to the church, their attribute of "regression" shifting to that of "purification." It was a consequence that would have continued if it wasn't for a miracle.
Okayu, the current Kuboneko heir, was something of a prodigy in his family, being the first in a long time to successfully "reach an understanding" with the family's benefactor. While he did not possess any spectacular number of circuits or strange affinities that set him apart from other magi, his talents at performing the family's magecraft were surely the work of a genius, demonstrating the skills and talents of the Kuboneko in their glory days. His talents also extended to battling against mankind's threats, naturally excelling in training as a professional killer sworn only to the Eighth Sacrament, a heathen that served the Holy Church. After all, what is truly lost if it were the sinner who sinned?
Not too long ago, Okayu had successfully purged the Kuboneko's spiritual land of the Dead Apostle interloper, but not before seeing his spiritual lands defiled and shifted into something far worse: a highly popular cat-themed onsen complete with catgirl attendants. Now, Okayu still continues to serve the church, more as a debt to the organization than out of any true faith, for much of it has deteriorated. It wasn't something that Okayu's superiors even minded, as much more frightening beasts have served the institution before him. Ever since that day, his humanity has regressed even farther than before, the hatred from his family's guardian and the stray cats of cat heaven seeping into his very soul. Okayu lives for vengeance, but not against humanity. Instead, Okayu seeks to take his vengeance against the commercialization of cats and cat-themes products, by force if he has to.
Purpose for the Grail War: Okayu has been dispatched as a representative of the Holy Church as a sign of good faith to the Magus Association in the retrieval of the Holy Grail. While it is widely believed that his mentality would prevent him from having a wish, the opposite is true. Okayu wishes for vengeance against Elon Musk and others like him. Cats shall no longer be groomed for the purpose of entertainment, and dastardly creations like Nekopara shall cease to exist forevermore~
Personality:A being far removed from humanity, closer to a house cat in terms of mentality. At the same time, a devout fighter of the enemies of humanity. A playful kitten who will also bare its fangs the moment it is threatened. A free spirit who enjoys foods with high protein. Reasoning is possible, although speech is difficult due to the nature of his magecraft. Magic Circuit Switch: The sensation of scraping meat off of bone with his tongue.
Quality of Circuits: C
Quantity of Circuits: C
Elemental Affinity: Fire
Attribute: Regression & Purification. By purifying the sins found in their human souls, the Kuboneko are able to regress to a more animalistic state easily.
Magecraft:
Houjutsu: The bare basics, essentially what is covered by General Magecraft. Of note, Okayu is talented in bounded fields meant to contain or purify spirits, the creation of feline familiars, and the knowledge of Japanese cremation ceremonies.
High-Speed Sutra Incantation (Rings): Due to a speech impediment, spell incantations are difficult to perform. However, by utilizing the rhythmic movements and ringing of a khakkhara, Okayu is capable of performing houjutsu incantations at almost half of the time.
Beast Magecraft (Cat): One of the two primary components of the Kuboneko line of magecraft. Utilizing the mysteries surrounding the animal kingdom in order to adopt their traits, and an offshoot of the original Shinto method of channeling animal spirits into one's body. However, such magecraft is frowned upon as their users are likely to lose their minds and become like the animals they seek to emulate. More specifically, the Kuboneko adapt the features of a "cat" into their bodies, enhancing their abilities far above normal strengthening magecraft. While he has not reached the same level of a certain dog, Okayu is still capable of enhancing his capabilities to surpass those of humans, from heightening his senses to track down heretical magecraft, to even his speed and agility. At this level, it could be said that Okayu resembles a ■■■■■■■■, or a "phantasmal cat," at the extent of a fraction of his reasoning deteriorating. Despite this, the main reason why the Kubonekos use such a risky magecraft is not for its immediate benefits, but rather what comes from it. Losing their minds and forsaking their humanity is the least of the Kuboneko's worries, as such a loss is required to take advantage of the rest of their magecraft.
Nekomata: The guardian spirit that the Kubonekos had worshipped in the past, and the second of the two primary components of the family's foundation. The nekomata is a yokai, one formed from a particularly aged cat, bearing two tails to signify their power and a contempt for humankind. It is because of this hatred for humans that the Kuboneko have adopted Beast Magecraft, utilizing it as a means to more properly communicate with the object of their worship, the kami of their spiritual land. By channeling the nekomata, they are able to borrow their concepts and utilize them in their magecraft, while the spirit itself serves a similar function to a western magi's magic crest. In Okayu's case, he specializes in using the Nekomata's blue flames as a weapon, cursed fire that is extremely effective against humankind, as well as further strengthening his Beast Magecraft. Other abilities belonging to the nekomata, such as possessing and controlling the dead, are beyond Okayu's abilities due to degradation and general distaste for the art. T-there's no "r" in "nekomancy!"
Sorcery Trait: Mystic Eyes of Dilation: The inherent trait of the Kuboneko, a "bronze"-ranked pair of mystic eyes, single action spells that are contained within the user's eyes that interfere with anything within the user's field of view. These eyes have the effect of dilating the time of everything within the user's line of sight, slowing time down when channeled. While these effects aren't especially powerful, they do aid in having the user appear to "go fast." Okayu normally uses it to aid against fighting Dead Apostles, existences above humanity where even his enhanced speed and senses aren't enough to keep up with. Based off of the mystery surrounding the nature of a cat's eyes, which dilate depending on the time of day. It should be noted that as inherent traits to the Kuboneko, these eyes are closer to psychic channels than they are to those formed using magecraft.
Baptism Sacrament: The sole miracle members of the Holy Church are permitted to acquire. However, due to its incompatibility with Okayu's circuits and his speech impediment, he is incapable of truly performing the ritual. The knowledge of the miracle, rather than any application.
Mystic Codes:
Taigasuzu Shakujo: A khakkhara with seven jingly jangly golden rings, a sharpened pointed tip, and a prismatic gemstone resembling an emerald crafted in the late 1500s. This staff serves as the pseudo magic crest to the Kuboneko, as it is a conceptual weapon containing the guardian spirit designated as the "Nekomata", bound with a particularly aged cat animal spirit and the clan's ancestor, consuming the souls of each family head at the time of their passing. The spirit itself, who is referred to fondly by Okayu as "Kameko-San", holds a hatred for human beings like others of its kind, and has also developed a hatred against Dead Apostles due to one being responsible for the pillaging and degradation of their spiritual land, their domain as kami. As a conceptual weapon, the staff utilizes the inherent attribute of the Kubonekos, “Purification,” to burn away the impurities of those it strikes, searing the soul and using their karmic sins as fuel. Because of this, it is a conceptual weapon that specializes against both humans and bloodsuckers alike, the objects of Kameko-san’s ire, as unlike animals, humans are born of inherent sin and seeped in impurity. It is also utilized as a medium for the Kuboneko's magecraft, as well as a karmic vessel to draw forth the grudges of both stray and domestic cats in a given area. It should be noted, however, that Okayu is not strong enough on his own for Kameko-san to maintain its own physical body outside of the Kuboneko spiritual land.
Shroud of St. Christopher: Holy shroud bestowed by the church to the Kuboneko to aid the clan from succumbing to madness due to the nature of their magecraft. A shroud meant to contain the bestial nature of whatever is held within, suppresses one's "monstrous" and "animal" attributes when worn. Primarily serving as an extra step to avoid the mental degradation that comes from the usage of Beast Magecraft, allows Okayu to retain the reason that he lost to a degree in exchange for significantly dampening the capabilities of his Beast Magecraft when worn. However, Okayu still conducts himself as one far removed from humankind. One could only imagine what sort of monster Okayu might become if the shroud is removed for a prolonged period of time...
Other mystic codes of note include a priest's frock made with a composite weave and strengthened by protective spells, a pair of mystic eye killers, and two or three hairballs of unknown origin holding a significant amount of magical energy.
Non-Magecraft Abilities/Items:
Okayu has brought with him a floofy and insulated coat for cold weather, enough change of clothes to last the whole war plus a few more weeks in case he gets lost going back home, eighty (80) sheets of talisman paper, six (6) cans of tuna, a slightly magical ball of yarn, a scratched up King James version of the Bible, a tour guide to Greece, and a book entitled "Homer for Dummies."
Okayu is trained in the martial techniques of the Holy Church, namely in the use of spears and staves as weapons, with enough training to properly fight against vampires. This training is eclipsed by Okayu's frightening mastery of sumo, sporting an abnormal muscle and bone density that allows him to out-perform those above his weight class.
Okayu can recite the Old Testament almost verbatim, however his speech impediment makes it difficult. This does not stop his superiors from asking him to recite it nonetheless
As expected of a cat, Okayu hates water and cannot swim. By all accounts, it is assured that water is his weakness.
I have no intention of finishing this at this time but I'm going to post what I had anyway up until I stopped writing. If you need to talk to me you now how.

He’s also the type who falls in and out of love easily, pursuing each with a passion that never diminishes, even as he moves on to the next adventure.
Bluntly put, an idiot who never thinks through his actions, but it always seems to work out somehow. Perhaps it’s due to his friends, or maybe he’s just that lucky.
Biography:
The protagonist of various Russian fairy tales, primarily ‘Prince Ivan, the Firebird and the Grey Wolf’, ‘The Death of Koschei the Deathless’, and ‘The Frog Princess’.
Though those all had the protagonist of ‘Ivan Tsarevich’, it’s difficult to claim that there’s continuity between them. What should be a generic name of a protagonist, similar to the giant-killing Jack, has been drawn together into a single entity.
The tale of the firebird tells of his quest to acquire the mythical firebird, meeting a grey wolf who helps him in various circumstances along the way, even bringing him back to life from the dead. The death of Koschei tells of his triumph against the immortal sorcerer, while the Frog Princess is more comical, similar to the Princess and the Frog, but reversed in gender.
Across the stories, enmity with Koschei and a more friendly relationship with Baba Yaga is common, as well as his assistance by various beasts and creatures.
Armaments: Armour, a bow and arrows.
Fighting Style: Letting his friends do the work while offering words of encouragement and the occasional arrow.
Parameters:
STR: E ||| END: D ||| AGI: D ||| MAN: A ||| LCK: A++
Class Skills:
Magic Resistance: C
Grants protection against magical effects, cancelling them altogether. Spells with a chant below two verses are cancelled, but cannot protect against magecraft on the level of High Thaumaturgy.
Riding: A+
Denotes the ability to ride mounts and vehicles. All vehicles and members of Phantasmal Species up to Divine Beasts can be ridden, with the exception of Dragonkind.
Personal Skills
Renegade Distortion: -
The distorted mentality of one who lives apart from the human norm. Similar to certain forms of Mad Enhancement or Mental Pollution, it becomes difficult for one to come to a mutual understanding with humans. Mild protection from mental interference effects is offered in exchange.
The mentality of one who carelessly chatters about team tactics, and rushes in pursuit of random objectives with little thought. One who lives in a world of fairy tales, where various things can happen due to no particular logic, so he adapts to this by simply making hasty decisions without any real thought.
As a side effect, it becomes easier to interact with those who live apart from humans - not simply beasts, but also fairies, witches, hermits and other types. It's possible to see a certain charm in his rough manners.
Encouragement: C+++
The ability to offer encouragement to one’s allies. Though in Ivan’s case, it’s difficult to get through to humans, so the effects are less pronounced.
However, with beasts and animals, their physical abilities are increased simply by being in close proximity, increased by active techniques of encouragement. Since he can’t really offer tactical advice, it’s generally simply cheers and rallying. Fundamentally, the ability to bring out extra power in one’s friends by emotional methods with no rational aspect.
Naturally, it works better on those that one has already developed deep bonds with.
Firebird My Quest for the Flaming Bird!
Rank: E Type: Anti-Unit Range: 0-20 Maximum Targets: 10
The flaming songbird that Ivan and his brothers were sent to quest for. After stealing his father’s apples, the Tsar’s fascination with it grew until he declared that whoever brought him the bird would be his heir.
As the quest object for a number of heroes, it’s possible to see it as a holy grail of sorts… However, it’s largely just a useless bird that gets captured or leaves its feathers in people’s grasp. Though its feathers are a treasure of sorts, that glow with a soft light that inspires those who see it. It also carries a passive, low-level mental interference effect of fascination, simply from the beauty of its appearance and song.
Its primary method of attack is producing flame, either as a projectile attack, or wreathing itself with it and charging. In comparison to more legendary birds, such as the Phoenix or Simurgh, it’s certainly weaker.
The equivalent of an ultra-rare one time event ‘mon that ends up not being especially useful despite all the effort needed to acquire it.
Sword Kladenets Behold, the Self-Swinging Sword!
Rank: D Type: Anti-Unit Range: 1-10 Maximum Targets: 1
A common motif in Russian folklore, the legendary sword Kladenets. It appears in many places, and it seems Ivan picked it up at some point. Probably as loot when he defeated that lich guy.
It would be more powerful in the hands of a true wielder of the blade, and in the class of such. As a Rider, it becomes less a weapon, and more an entity of itself. Able to swing with its own power - greatly exceeding Ivan’s own strength - and chase down enemies with the power of flight. It has a mind of its own, and sometimes doesn’t listen to its master.
As a self-swinging blade, it also has the ability to autocorrect its swings towards advantageous spots, ones that Ivan himself is often unable to spot.
The equivalent of a ‘mon you got in a random trade, and never realised could evolve, so it never quite met its full potential.
Golden Horse The Sky-Conquering Witch’s Horse!
Rank: C Type: Anti-Army Range: 4-30 Maximum Targets: 100
A flying horse that initially belonged to Baba Yaga, gained through a series of trials so that he could have a dogfight with Koschei. Or is that a horsefight?
A greatly versatile mount with the ability of flight, and good speed and power. As a form of transportation, it’s certainly excellent.
As a winged horse originally owned by a powerful witch, it’s likely a direct descendant of the original Pegasus. However, perhaps because of that witch’s influence, it has a much nastier disposition, and doesn’t need much encouragement to attack. Thankfully it’s a great deal weaker than the original. Winding up its sky charge and raining down to earth in a powerful attack that can be likened to a comet… or at least, a small one.
The equivalent of ‘mon you got in a trade from your big sister, that you keep in the party due to its high level and knowing fly.
Grey Wolf My Ever-loyal Companion!
Rank: B Type: Anti-Unit Range: 0-1 Maximum Targets: 1
A great phantasmal beast she-wolf, who joined Ivan after eating his original horse. Feeling guilty, she promised to replace the horse for as long as he needed. Even after she left after the end of her service, she returned to save Ivan from his murderous brothers.
A powerful member of the phantasmal species with the ability to shapeshift into human form, though she only does so when she wants to. Speed, power and stealth abilities are all top notch. She’s also happy to be used as a mount, at least by Ivan.
Her true ability is the water of life she fetched for the dying Ivan. It’s a unique ingredient that cannot be fully replicated, but is simply an inferior emulation of such. A powerful singular burst of healing that restores its target to ‘perfect health’ so long as the spiritual core has not been destroyed. Of course, such a thing requires a large amount of energy expenditure.
The equivalent of a fully evolved starter ‘mon that you grew most attached to.
Vasilisa My Beautiful Frog Bride!
Rank: A Type: Anti-Unit Range: 0-20 Maximum Targets: -
Ivan’s wife, trapped in the form of a frog. In fact, he had multiple wives - the original Helen the Beautiful, whose form the wolf took, the warrior Marya Movena, and Tsarevna Vasilisa herself. It seems they were alright with sharing Ivan. Or perhaps there were multiple Ivans.
A relative of Baba Yaga, cursed by Koschei the deathless as a casualty of the conflict between them. Despite her inhuman shape, she retains a great deal of magical power, even as her form is a harmless frog. One who learned her craft directly from that Witch of the wilds, her magecraft is comparable to that of a Caster-class servant - at least when Ivan bothers to summon her into danger.
Even without being summoned, she offers advice to Ivan befitting of her title ‘the wise’, though he generally doesn’t listen.
The equivalent of a harmless-looking ‘mon that turned out to be broken in the metagame despite its goofy appearance.
_________________________________________________________________________________________ Name: Rufus Wilmot Griswold Title: Literary Executioner Class: Caster Gender: Male Alignment: Chaotic Evil Height / Weight:6'5" Source: History 1800's _________________________________________________________________________________________ Personality: Griswold is the epitome of mankind's worst. A man who dabbled in the depraved, and hurt without care. To him, the world was full of those who either gave him what he desired, or were punished for it. Caster's mentality is not one of a kind man, but a hatred of others who possess talents he does not, or could never. It is with this in mind that he loathes the heroes of old. Those blessed few who became heroes in their own time. After all, had he been born alongside them, he would have shone even brighter than them. But, he is a man of the modern era. One who had to fight and scrap for all he had. And to beat down the competition. Does this make him a bad person? No, but the cheating, swindling, lying to his wife, abandonment of his family, and the plagiarism certainly do. He will use every cheap tactic in the book to come ahead. Nothing kind that passes his lips is meant in earnest. No good deed is done without desire for a reward that he would not have received in other ways. When the battle is over, he plans to write a book about it. Naturally, with him as the hero, and the others as villains. Maybe his master will get a shining role if they lick his shoes enough.
Bio: Mean nasty man writes mean things about depressed author.
Weapon: A book and a pen are all the depraved need. _________________________________________________________________________________________ Parameters: Strength: D Endurance: C Agility: C Mana: C Luck: C _________________________________________________________________________________________ Class Skills: Territory Creation - C: An 'Atelier', which is superior to a 'Workbench', may be established, boosting capabilities to an acceptable degree. Requires prior, ample time to establish. Rufus enjoyed a position of power over others, and while under normal circumstances he might have never gone above a workbench, he did possess an office, and kept his blackmail and angry letters well organized.
Item Construction - C: A Caster-class Skill. It is the Skill to manufacture magical items, from implements of war to items for daily use. Also, this Skill requires time to gather components and manufacture items. While not a mage in life, it is possible for Griswold to create items of specific natures through the use of his noble phantasm.
Personal Skills:
Human Observation (Scandal) - A: A technique to observe and understand people. But where Human Observation is traditionally directed to understand others, Human Observation (Scandal) is directed towards deducing their darkest secrets. Caster's rank is so high in this particular skill that within a minute of first interaction, he can deduce just how many skeletons might be in a person's closet, and of what kind. While this cannot allow him to identify a true name or noble phantasm, it does allow him to make deductions based on what he observes.
Performance Continuation - B: Similar to Battle Continuation, it is the ability to continue a performance even after being critically injured. It will also reduce mortality rate from injury. This Skill represents the ability to survive and/or the mentality of one who doesn't know when to give up, consisting of one's strength of vitality in predicaments. An ability representing the strong will to stay alive on the battlefield. Caster was in his home when an explosion went off. A mix of gas and fire, which destroyed part of his home, and left him with severe burns and scarring. Worse, he lost his eyebrows. He survived the explosion, and continued to work during this period.
Golden Rule - D: A Skill that refers to the measurement of one's fortune to acquire wealth. Unlike his rival, Poe, Caster was usually rather wealthy. Able to accumulate a solid estate of wealth within his lifetime.
Title: The Poets and Poetry of America - Graveyard of Poets Rank: C NP Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Team Range: - Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Description: Griswold's anthology The Poets and Poetry of America was the most comprehensive of its kind to date. As critic Lewis Gaylord Clark said, it was expected Griswold's book would "become incorporated into the permanent undying literature of our age and nation". The anthology helped Griswold build up a considerable reputation throughout the 1840s and 1850s and its first edition went through three printings in only six months. His choice of authors, however, was occasionally questioned. A British editor reviewed the collection and concluded, "with two or three exceptions, there is not a poet of mark in the whole Union" and referred to the anthology as "the most conspicuous act of martyrdom yet committed in the service of the transatlantic muses". Even so, the book was popular and was continued in several editions after Griswold's death by Richard Henry Stoddard.
In later times, The Poets and Poetry of America has been nicknamed a "graveyard of poets" because its anthologized writers have since passed into obscurity to become, as literary historian Fred Lewis Pattee wrote, "dead ... beyond all resurrection". Pattee also called the book a "collection of poetic trash" and "voluminous worthlessness".
It is that phenomenon of recording people who have faded into worthlessness that has become manifest as Caster's noble Phantasm. While it is quite possible that all recorded in his anthology died out because of their own failures, this is the final record and testament of their existence. A book that contains those who are dead, and shall never return.
When Caster activates his noble phantasm, he records the existence of an enemy into a written form. As long as he possesses this paper, it acts as a mark that they are beyond resurrection and worthless. As such, it places a powerful cursed seal upon the victim, removing any ability to heal and removing any buffs they might receive from themselves or other sources.
Title: Memoir of the Author - The Imp of the Perverse Rank: C+ NP Type: Anti-Unit, Anti-Team Range: - Maximum Number of Targets: 1 Description: Griswold claimed that "among the last requests of Mr. Poe" was that he become his literary executor "for the benefit of his family". While there is documentation that supports this claim, very little of it was properly signed. Some believe that Maria Clemm, Poe's mother-in-law surrendered the documentation in some kind of bribe, or that Griswold had somehow managed to convince Poe to do so. Regardless of the means, it was not within Maria Clemm's power to do so, but it was done regardless.
As literary executor for Poe's affairs, along with many other American writers, Griswold released the Memoir of the Author, as the definitive portrayal of the life of Edgar Allan Poe. The "Memoir" depicts Poe as a madman, addicted to drugs and chronically drunk. Many elements were fabricated by Griswold using forged letters as evidence and it was denounced by those who knew Poe, including Sarah Helen Whitman, Charles Frederick Briggs, and George Rex Graham. In March, Graham published a notice in his magazine accusing Griswold of betraying trust and taking revenge on the dead.
This memoir has latched onto Poe's legacy, becoming the catalyst for much of his woes. It is perhaps the very reason there is not a single variation of Poe untouched by the 'Innocent Monster' skill. When utilizing this noble phantasm, Griswold recreates the means of altering another's life story to transform them into a monster. It is possible for him to change the life's course of another, changing a noble man into a villain. Perhaps even strengthening them if the story and adjustments call for them. Or another form of weakening.
The changes this noble phantasm results in are all temporary, as reality sets in and once more purges the falsities from the target. Against Masters though, these effects can become quite permanent if desired to.
Fighting Style: Imagine me, a fighter. I'm going to sit at base and eat all the good food. All you fighter types can deal with this for me. Heck, better idea. I'll write something nice about you. Maybe give you an advantage. How about 'He fought like a bastard and had fangs for teeth.' Sounds more your style than all that honor stuff, huh?
Title(s): Blood-Forged Beast Gender: Female Age: 36 Alignment: Chaotic Neutral Team: Black Rank: Fes Purpose for the Grail War: To make war, to advance her craft and have a fun time. _____________________________________________________________________________________
Command Seal:
Personality: A sort of girl that can be called a rambunctious troublemaker. A lady who selfishly pursues her fun and own rules. Really, she’s no Flying General, but she’s not someone who falls into line exactly how others want.
Somewhat inexperienced with both the full scope of modern society and the western world, Lon is nonetheless someone who jumps fully into whatever she thinks is worth her time or fun. To enjoy her time.
She’s someone others may think is simple at first glance, and maybe even a fool. But if you were to ask her she’ll reply that she thinks most people complicate matters way beyond the truth.
Take the make up of a body, the chemicals, nutrients and structure that gives birth to one, or the desires that rule people. To understand things like that are a given, because her craft is one born from using the body, and pursuing ideals and dreams. That is, the craft of war.
The cosmos isn’t that complicated, and even heaven is nicely structured and disciplined. Magic is all about what you’ve seen and what’s happened telling you what can be done, and people can be calculated from their pasts and through the cosmos as well.
But just because humans and the world are simple doesn’t mean they can’t be surprising. Surprise just means that either you’ve been looking it wrong, or someone else started finally looking at themselves properly.
No one expected her to stand at the top refined to the splendor of gold, so she told them she did. It’s as simple as that.
Bio: A family of warriors and beasts. Frightening sages and mystics who developed from a community of alchemists who blended the pursuit of immortality and heaven with internal alchemy with the pursuit for truth. Strangely it is in the pursuit of blood and iron that they became more concerned with what lied beyond immortality, the truth.
Who knows what shifted to truly make them sages pursuing the impossible thankless dream to the point of bloodying their hands? It is said that the one who began the Mo discovered and started upon this path after returning from a journey to the plains of Zhuolu… But perhaps it was a matter of attuning to the flow of the times as the birth of the Mo came at the end of the prosperous Spring and Autumn era of history. Perhaps they were simply becoming scholars attuned to the Warring States.
Battling, studying and refining themselves over centuries. They reached a infamy of being annoying to deal with, but reliable as warriors. In a sense their reputation ended up being something equivalent to the Finnish Hyenas of the west, for the east…
Surviving through various shifts of eras, and the globalization of the world, the Mo made the bold decision of moving with its main family to the west to try and open themselves to progress through involving themselves with other parts of the world. Part of their interest was the various tales of legendary armaments from the west that were focused upon, and a desire to learn about the philosophies of western alchemy.
However moving to new lands is not kind, and the time it took to adapt to the new lands and preserve their foundations, along with being outsiders meant that their sway and standing in the western world was tumultuous. While they had support from their branches that lingered in the east, they were still in a weak position.
Eventually picked up by the Yggdmillennia who, despite the pride of the Mo, were able to convince them to join in by the silvertongue of Darnic Prestone, the Mo were a powerful, albeit distance satellite member that filled the collective’s ranks.
Lon herself was a girl born to one of the branch families that from a young age. Showing a great compatibility and aptitude, besting the candidates of inheritance with an exhibition that stifled opposition, she not only was adopted to the clan of gold from copper, but ended up becoming the new head and representative.
All in all new to the West and Yggdmillennia, she comes in as if she were a tourist. Well, considering the instability that comes with the passing of generations, both in Yggdmillennia and the MO itself, and the fact that the Mo are partially blamed by some members for failing to protect the grail from theft despite their strength means that there’s plenty for her to experience and deal with.
Hm? She just thinks it’ll be a fun time? Besides, it’s not like she was part of the Gold back then. It was time for the to bear witness with her performance in the war the value of copper transmuted to gold. Just like she silenced those of the Mo, she came to the west with the full intent of silencing the Yggdmillennia with herself.
She was the sort who desired the sort of curse that was “May you live in interesting times”

Magic Circuit Switch: The feeling of the heart pumping liquid steel through the veins, and the rush of breath in response. Number of Magic Circuits: D Quality of Magic Circuits: B Od: Very high (Panda Furnace)
Elemental Affinity: Water & Fire [Wuxing system, not Aristotle/western]
Attribute: Refinement A magecraft attribute of Refinement. Similar to reinforcement, but it has to do more with removing impurities to strengthen the concept and existence of something rather than adding onto it. For some magic and abilities it might not be much of a difference in terms of effect, but the connotations can build up to very different results.
Beast Magecraft (Panda) 食鐵獸: Wearing the concept and form of the Iron-Eating Beast. While Beast Magecraft is fundamentally about borrowing the abilities or concept of beasts. Rather than transforming one’s self completely into an animal on a complete physical level, traits are blended and seeded with conceptual fertilization, making one a hybrid, both spiritually and physically from the onset, and layering of magecraft techniques.
One is a mighty iron-eating beast, and drawing forth this already innate bestial nature can allow for a further augmentation of strength and performance. Although rather than reinforcement, this follows the property of the family’s magical attribute of refinement.
Through eating previous heirs and their enemies, one takes in their enlightenment and iron. The fact that Panda and Demon are both called Mo (貘) [panda] and 魔 [demon] is utilized to help blend them. The devouring of the wisdom of others (refinement) to gain immortality (eternity) and enlightenment (perfection)
Of course, actual metal is also eaten as an odd sort of snack and material to utilize for magecraft, and to bring one closer to the people of the originator of weapons, Chiyou. After all, carrying heads of bronze, and eating iron.. Maybe they were pandas all along?! Regardless, such a regression through associated acts is only beneficial for both martial strength and magecraft...
Yějīn nèidān shù Elixir Brewing Forge/Internal Foundry: The Taoist path of internal alchemy that cultivates and processes the body to attempt to form an elixir internally. The normal practices of alchemy are performed instead with one’s self.
The act of alchemy is to trace a path (Dao) backwards through the stream of life that flows from Wu (the root) to Wanwu (the current stage of life).
Even things such as greater strength, healing and shaking off of ailments and foulness, and immortality can be reached if one aligns with the cosmos properly. But most importantly for the Mo it is a matter of internal purity and refinement that they seek most of all. Applying metallurgical concepts as part of their internal alchemy, the path of the Mo is to forge themselves into purity until they reach heaven.
As an aside note, as a purified space for an elixir, and a forgery/crucible that burns away impurities via Qi, by their nature, the Mo are rather sturdy against outside influences, whether it be invasive magical energy, or poisons or even a bacteria-filled meal.
However the nature of fire being the element that coaxes the pure essence of things out from their coil, the body heat of Lon is rather high. Toasty.
Dantian Forge, Cultivation of Violence:
The utilization of one’s heart as the Dantian (focal point of energy) in magecraft is something that while specific to east asia mysticism, is a matter of the expansion of the universal and innate nature of the heart as a center of energy and life.
Utilizing its energy, and its flow of blood as both the energy that reshapes the body, and the flow that reconfigures and transforms the body. This is internal alchemy that shifts the body from a crucible that cultivates the heavens and elixir, to a furnace that transforms and refines the body and self.
Blood is after all iron, and the work of a smith is to reshape iron into a form that is not only different, but stronger than before.
In Taoism the concept of Metallurgy is fundamentally that of transformation, and shifting shape.
Qi (Breath) is processed along with metal through heat and practice to prepare Jing (essence) as a huandan (reverted elixir) that becomes a seed of potential, an internal prima materia that can be transmuted.
Bagua Force: Fourfold Battle Array
Battle as seen through heaven, strife and violence shaped into knowledge. Before she who contains the totality of battle no techniques can stay unhidden.
Or rather, it should be said that she is a foundry where any sort of potential of violence can be forged. A Jidan [Gold Elixir] of violence.
Even the concept of utilizing martial arts with one’s body flows from the knowledge and vision that the founder held.
A magecraft that, in all honesty, is fundamentally closer to martial arts. Rather than a martial arts that pursues perfection, one could say that it is a raw and primordial martial arts that simply traces back and refines battle to primordial violence.
The four eyes see four different shapes. The significance of the four weapons can be compared to the four elements in western thinking that dominates the base of occultism. Rather than dividing up the world into four elements however, it is war itself that is divided into four forms.
Flowing like a stream, four then becomes eighteen, connected to primordial violence and yet expressing it in different, specialized ways. All parts of a whole.
In another language, this would be called a Ryougi.
One divine violence, four eyes that see new paths, eighteen blades that spill blood.
While the Mo may technically be alchemists and smiths in their path, the truth is that they are demons of violence and war that contain all of violence within them. Before her eyes, no violence may go without answer.
Breathing and Walking: I feel like this doesn’t really need to be said, or really is all that important to say but just to be safe I guess??? She breaths really good and walks really good. But she’s probably like better at breathing.
Crest:
The Mo family as an eastern based tradition does not carry a magic crest... instead.
Sarira Inheritance: 2500 years (Although really it's not really as cumulative or straightforward as Crest inheritance so don't let the number spook you that much)
Fundamentally even as they migrated west, the Mo are a family that does not follow western traditions and techniques. Even if they have begun to take in western knowledge, the base of the family remains unchanged.
Upon death former heads and members of the family are cremated in a way to process their cultivated spirituality and abilities into a crystallization of spiritual and mental energies, along with karma. In a sense you could say it is the presentation of a soul and a human rendered into their worth and information.
Devouring that, one inherits the past and tempers the furnace as a new workshop and head.
A new link in the chain is forged.
Mystic Codes:
My Favorite Cheongsam:
A China Dress that has various talismans and patterns weaved into it made out of special ingredients to grant the same level of protection as a intern delving into one of the dungeons of the Clocktower, and an anti-magic amulet. Cancels magic on the level of one step.
Really, it’s not to protect her… even if a normal magus might consider this a very substantial and useful amount of protection.
It’s made so she doesn’t have to keep repairing it or replacing it so often with the kinds of battles she gets into…
Shenni: Embryonic Skin
A mixture of Lead and Mercury that forms a Taiju in mud, Mud of the Earth and Mud of the Heaven. A seal that separates one from the world and preserves life. One could say it is a shell that raises and nurtures the nascent world within a human being and prevent the loss of breath.
An anti-environmental mystic code embedded and incorporated into the body of Lon, and also a building block that can be utilized with her in conjunction with her Dantian Forge. It is akin to the prized treasure of the Istari family that converts and transforms their tool into armor and weapons. The Shenni is however not the full arms of Lon, but rather an unnoticed carapace that fuses with and transforms with her own reshaping and forging to form her weapons.
Often she likes to let them be pre-forged and hang around instead of just completely burying herself in it. Well, the cover is more a conceptual sort of cover than completely physical anyway so it’s ok if she’s showing off her body!
Four Eyes of Strife:
The idea of the common nickname and slur of "Four-eyes" for glasses wearing nerds is utilized in the form of sunglasses, to sum it up.
Sunglasses tinted blood red that usually rest atop her forehead rather than being worn. At their base they are a variant of a normal support mystic code that helps with the processing of information and data so a magus does not get overwhelmed.
In this case they’re specialized for the means of perceiving and analyzing war. The third and fourth eyes of Lon, painted with the concept of the great ancestor of battle and weaponry. The lens are actually made out of a liquid crystal and copper mixture treated with alchemical means and anointed to invoke the god of war.
For a girl whose boy sometimes rushes forward before her mind, it’s a help to let them line up and sync up as one.
Truly a monster (Bear) in human form, perhaps even more than those who were once human and became bloodsuckers.
