Violet rubbed the back of her head at Mei.
"Haha, right. Duh. Th-that's pretty funny. I don't really...have much, though." She said. Lots of people joined in. More rich girls, Bren and the Faunus girl, and of course team BLUD. Everyone was kind of just posturing and looking tough, and Violet really just wasn't into it at all. She just wanted people to stop being mean to each other. She took no pleasure in seeing the bullies "get their come-uppance." It all just seemed so stupid and small compared to what was at stake out there. Her feelings were easily hurt, and as Violet regained her composure she couldn't help but be frustrated with herself that things had gone this poorly already.
Sky decided to sit next to the inconsolable Faunus and be in her company the best she could before she had to go to bed. Yawning, she removed her prosthetic and set them in a locked metal case next to her. She stared up at the dark ceiling of the Great Hall.
"Mom, Dad...I'll make you proud." She whispered.

"Hey, uh, soak it in, new guys." Sky said to everyone her. Particularly those who were from outisde the country.
"This is Vale at it's prettiest." She smiled genuinely, taking in the view.
The Emerald Forest was beautiful. Sky had never travelled very deeply into it for obvious reasons, but as ominous as it could be sometimes it was still majestic in it's own way. It seemed to go on forever. And the ruins within were pretty, in their own sad, melancholic way.
Sky was back in her jumpsuit. A backpack was slung over one shoulder, and resting across both was a Big Wrench. A giant steel thing taller than Sky herself (though that wasn't saying much). It looked heavy and unwieldy. The crescent wrench tip had a hole in the center, resembing a barrel. And near the bottom the wrench turned into a stock, trigger, and what looked like a bolt action reloading interface.
Sky blinked as Carlisle revealed his plan.
"Leavin' it up to luck, huh? Uh...okay, I guess." She shifted uneasily, smiling nervously. She hoped she didn't get someone mean.
When the first huntsman got launched, Sky flinched.
"W-woah! Wh-what? Really? Are we? Oh, Gods." She clutched her Big Wrench like a life raft.
"Um, umm, umm, Professor? Umm, uh, I can't- I can't, I don't-" Her mind was racing as she tried to think of a plan.
"Wait, I don't UAAAAAAAAHAAAAHH!" Violet screamed. She went sailing through the air and immediately began to spiral out of control, her Big Wrench throwing her terribly off balance.
Sky desperately reoriented herself in the air. Fear of splatting etched into her face, she pointed her Big Wrench to the ground. Thank goodness she loaded in her non-heated ammo. She fired a blast of what looked like hard shrapnel. That slowed her down some. The canopy was approaching fast. She fired two most blasts and then flicked a switch. The blasts turned into a steady stream of what looked like thick orange glue, or paste. It coated the branches infront of her. She hit the branches and since they were sticky, they slowed her down somewhat. Most of the glue was just travelling through and creating a big puddle somewhere on the ground.
Sky's right thigh hit a branch.
"Oof!" She span and smacked her midsection into a thicker one.
"BLEUGH!" She retched.
Waving her hands out, she fell backwards, bonking her back on yet another branch before falling face first into a pile of goo, limbs spread eagle.
Moaning, she rolled over onto her back, placing a hand on her hat to make sure it was still there.
"Uunnh..." She whipped her wrists back and forth, shaking the goo free.
The moan transitioned into a pained laughed as she did a double handed face palm. She leaned up and saw her Big Wrench laying a few feet away.
"Ohohohoooh...maaann...come on, dude." She said to no one, coughing, a smile on her face.
"Ugh." She rolled over again, onto her hands and knees, and crawled over to Big Wrench. She gathered it up in her hands.
Yeah, that sucked. Violet thought Big Wrench was saying. In the way it laid there on the ground, barrel leaking, cell almost empty. Leaned, a little sassily, against a branch.
We're definitely gonna have to work on that. "Well, dang. I didn't...I didn't think they'd just toss me like that. I thought we were fighting Grimm, not gravity." Wheezing a little, she sat down next to Big Wrench and tried catching her breath.
"Okay...okay. I got it. You know what I need?" Sky snapped her mechanical finger, having an idea.
What? Big Wrench asked.
"A utility belt." Oh. Oh that's good. "Right?" I like it. Violet ran her fingers over and under the belt currently around her hips.
"I'm thinkin'...I'm thinkin' I boost the durability. Get a harness on me, so it can be heavy. Then, I just...fill it with stuff. Like." She held one hand into the air.
"Imagine- Imagine a glider. I just grab a little thing and a...Hard-Light? No. No that won't work. Don't have any Hard-Light dust." A particularly foamy and cushiony chemical solution, then? "Oh! Oh, yeah! I just grab like, a grenade, and throw it at the ground then FWOOSH! A bunch of goo goes everywhere. Quick drying and fast decaying, not like that other stuff." She jerked a thumb over her shoulder to the orange goo still dripping from the trees. One could clearly trace her path crashing through the green branches above.
Violet smacked her metal fist into her palm.
"Splat! My Aura does the rest. I just need to do some sort of crazy spinning attack with you to knock all the branches out of the way first. OOH!" Sky cut herself off with a shout.
"Oh! Oh! A grapple hook! Grapple hooks are awesome!" She closed one eye and stuck out her tongue. She held an imaginary grapple hook launcher in her hand and fired it.
"Ptseeeew fwooshfwoosh CLANK!" She pulled the grapple hook tight after it wrapped around the branch. Straining against G-forces!
"Hhrrrgh! Oof!" She pushed herself into a tumbling roll from her nonexistant fall. She skidded to a stop.
Seems entirely practical. "Yeah. Okay. We'll do both. Grapple hook, jump, goo ball." She stared up at the blue sky and clouds drifting up ahead. She smiled, her violet eyes full of excitement. The canopy whispered in the wind overhead. The sun filtered in rays through the leaves.
"...Sure is pretty, isn't it?" Sky mused.
