Martial
Velyn is a skilled martial combatant with both the use of the spear and the short blade. His fighting style is fast and agile, using lighter armour to prioritise speed over protection. Though age saps his strength and agility, Velyn more than makes up for that in hundreds of years of martial experience.

Magical
Though some Buoyant Armigers were once great users magic, Velyn is not among their ranks. He understands the basics of magical practice but is no expert. He has some small skill in the schools of Restoration and Alteration. The Healing of Sick was a core tenant of the Tribunal Temple, and all those who served it learned something of the restorative arts. He also learned some of the tricks of the Buoyant Armigers, such as water breathing and walking, as well as the art of magically shielding the body in combat.

Miscellenous
In his youth Velyn was a fine acrobat, but such exertions are much beyond him now, he still however retains a soft tread and an excellent balance. Velyn's other great skill has only increased with age, his eloquent speech. Velyn has increasingly dedicated himself to the study and creation of poetry in his later years.

A P P E A R A N C E

Velyn Virith is an elderly male Dunmer, well into his third century. Despite his venerable age he is not frail or decrepit, he stands tall and straight still, thin with age and hard living, but possessing wiry strength and cultivated grace to his movements. The way Velyn moves is like a dancer, with light quick steps, but he carried himself with all the confidence and surety of a warrior. When his face is hidden beneath his chitinous helm, he could pass for a mer more than half his age. 

Velyn's face, however, shows the truth of his age. His sharp angular features are lined and wrinkled, crows feet radiate out from the corners of his narrow blood red eyes. The ceremonial tattoos and scars of his young are pale and faded. The dark hair pulled back into his high topknot is so threaded with grey that they now outnumber the black. In his youth, Velyn would have been considered handsome, and he still retains a element of refined dignity in his appearance to this day. A sign of his former vanity can be seen the golden jewellery than hangs from his pointed ears.

When not dressed in the worn and patchwork chitin armour that he wraps in a tattered crimson cloak, Velyn prefers to dress in the many hued and patterned fabrics of his homeland, instead of the local Nord furs. He does however, often wear multiple layers, with long robes over his normal clothing. The cold gets into his bones and aching joints these days.


P E R S O N A L I T Y

Velyn is a mer who has been through many trials and tribulations in his life, trials that have had him question his faith and own decisions. As Lord Vivec once cautioned the Hortator Saint Nerevar, beware the wrong walking path. Velyn's path has been one of struggle, soaked in blood, beset with Violence. But it is only through Violence that one might reach Heaven. And so Velyn Virith is at peace.

But his frequent philosophical ruminations do not mean he is dour or dull, far from it in fact. Velyn is an eloquent conversationalist, a skilled orator, poet and musician. He enjoys performing and entertaining, and like all entertainers he enjoys a stiff drink shared with good company. At times like these his wry sense of humour becomes increasingly apparent, as well as a somewhat rakish and flirtatious side to old Knight Errant. 

Ultimately, however, he views distractions of the flesh as just that, distractions, despite the allure they sometimes still hold for him. There are only two things Velyn truly cares about, aiding those in need of his assistance, and carving his own path to Heaven.


H I S T O R Y

Velyn Virith was born on Vvardenfell in the year 3E412. He was a younger son of Theldyn Virith, Kinsman to the Great House Redoran. Growing up, most of his childhood was spent between the Redoran district capital of Auld'ruhn and his family's ancestral estates in the West Gast near the port of Auld Velothi.  Like his brothers and cousins, he was expected to join his father's house as another proud Redoran warrior, but fate had other plans for Velyn Virith.

Once, while visiting the great city of Vivec as a child, Velyn witnessed a regatta being held on the grand canal. Barges of beaten gold, wreathed with garlands, floated upon the shimmering waters, oars manned by beautiful maidens and comely youths. From the decks, knights clad in iridescent glass laughed and sang as they threw roses to the watching crowd. And hovering above them all, a seated figure, half gold, smiling, and radiating the light of heaven itself.

This was the first time Velyn saw a God, and he vowed that day, that it would not be the last.  

As soon as he was old enough he pledged himself as novice to the Tribunal Temple, and then to be apprenticed by the Armigers once he had proved his worth. In those days the fear of Sharmat hung over Vvardenfell, and the ALMSIVI receded from the outside world, but Velyn did not forget what it meant to see a God in all their glory. 

He never would.
Velyn kept his faith, his love for his Lord Vivec, even after the deaths of the other Triunes. When the gates Oblivion opened and daedra ravaged Morrowind, he kept his faith still. When his Lord disappeared, he kept his faith. When the moons fell from the sky and fires rose up from earth, he kept his faith. When the Argonians invaded and sacked their cities even as the ash and fire rained down still, he kept his faith. He fought though all these terrors as an Armiger, doing his deeds in Love and War in the name of his Lord, Vivec.

And when the New Temple emerged triumphant from the rubble of their nation and  proclaimed Vivec was a false god, Velyn kept his faith. And won himself exile for it.

He fled to Cyrodil, following in the footsteps of countless Dunmer refugees, to find a province also lost to chaos and war as chaos of the the Stormcrown Interregnum unfolded. There he joined a group of rebels fighting against the tyrannical count of Skingrad.

These were darkest days of his existence. Bereft of his Lord, his land, and his love, Velyn turned to a darker path. He indulged in unworthy vices and fought not for Love, but rather to die. He was broken in those days, and it would take many years for him to find his true path again and to fight under the Will of Love once more. 

He wandered Tamriel for a long time, never truly settling anyway, never truly putting down roots. Over those long years there were companions, friends, lovers, and enemies. But they were all transient. So do were roles at which he played. Sometimes he was a solider and a mercenary, at others a poet, musician, or acrobat. But always was he one thing, a holy man. For above all else, as he wandered, he searched for answers to the questions that still haunted him, the questions that lingered despite his faith. 

Why did Vivec leave his people at the time of their greatest need? Why did Vivec allow such terrors to befall the faithful whom he had loved and cherished? And why, why, did his Lord abandon him, his most loyal and adoring of servants? 

It took many years for Velyn to come to a conclusion. He consulted great sages and philosophers from across the lands, read the holy books and poets of his Lord countless times. He found an answer, his answer at least, though sometimes he still doubts it himself. But did Vivec not say: Beware the wrong walking path? 

Did he not also say: Beware the crime of benevolence?

Chimer were taught to struggle by the Anticipations and Saint Veloth, and they became greater for it, they were changed by it. The Dunmer had prospered under the benevolent rule of the Tribunal, the benevolent rule of his Lord... but now, it seemed they must struggle again. Greater things awaited them still, and only through struggle would they be changed once more.

So Velyn would struggle on his own path, and he would help to teach his kin how to struggle too. Anywhere Dunmer struggled on the path, he would be there to try to teach them how to struggle, how to grow stronger, how to change, how to Reach Heaven by Violence.

This was why Velyn Virith came to Skyrim in the third century of Fourth Era, for it was here, he believed, that the struggle of his people was greatest. If he could teach the Dunmer to walk the path in Skyrim, and struggle their way to greatness, then he might change his whole people, he might change the whole world.

For the ending of the words is ALMSIVI.

Character Name: Andre Lanchenko

• Backstory:
Andre Lanchenko was born an only child in the city of Camlorn during the year of 4E 175 to Roberto & Amaline Lanchenko. Roberto was a reasonably successful merchant, his shop a provider of all sorts of homely goods, his wife Amaline aided him in this. Andre's childhood was a quiet but happy one, he did not have many friends, and often spent his time alone.
From the year 4E 190, he would spend more of time in the company of his uncle Francois Blanchard, a captain in a still young knightly order known as the Order of the Lion.
The order was formed to protect the royal family of Camlorn, as well as the temples to the 9 divines outside of the city.
Andre had considered joining the order himself, but his interest degraded over time as he found himself becoming more interested in venturing outward toward the rest of Tamriel, despite the recent events of the 4th era making things a little less enticing. 

When he wasn't training with his sword skills, or helping with the family business, Andre would be learning what he could about the different cultures and peoples outside of High Rock, mostly from reading at the library, or on rare occasions, learning directly from non-Bretons that lived within the city. On one occasion, he found himself speaking to an elderly Altmer entertainer simply named Bostalo, whos business was in magic.
Andre excited by this new curiosity asked for the Altmer's tutelage, however Bostalo was not keen on the idea at first, but he eventually gave in to the keen young man's relentless requests.
The training was rough going at first, but over time, Andre would become more competent at using minor spells, his ability to wield magic becoming almost second nature to him. 

Late into the year of 4E 200, his cousins from Cyrodiil came to visit for a short time, partly due to the recent troubles there. Andre and his parents were later informed that an ancient family heirloom, the Lansenko Amulet, went missing almost thirty years ago, but thankfully they had narrowed down the search to three locations after some detailed research.
The Lansenko Amulet was a circular piece of silver with a gold wreathed trim, at the center depicted a mer woman and a man, representing the two who would help create the Lanchenko family line, the Ayleid Lansea and the Nede Enkor. 

Two of Andre's cousins would venture toward Hammerfell and Elsweyr, Andre volunteered to go to Skyrim, the last of the three possible locations, but his father forbade it, saying that it was a fools errand, especially considering how hostile that region had become over the years. 

A few months later, Andre would learn that his cousins had found no success on their quests as of yet, leading to the presumption that the amulet was indeed in Skyrim. Despite his father's protests, Andre would prepare for his depature for Skyrim, setting sail for Solitude. 

•Personality:
Andre is generally a fair and friendly man. He can come off as being a quiet and lonely sort, but in truth he just has the habit of keeping to himself, or more so at least since he was a child.

• Loyalties:
- Loyal to the United Kingdom of Daggerfall & Camlorn, however he is distrustful of Daggerfall, seeing it as being somewhat over ambitious. He is generally neutral towards the rest of High Rock in comparison. 

- The Order of the Lion, an order dedicated to protecting Camlorn and its royal family. He trained with them due to the influence from his uncle. His time with them allowed him to understand and respect the order. 

- Wary toward the Stormcloak Kingdom, as the stories he had learned from the aftermath of the war painted their new king as brutish and unkindly. It is something he will have to take into account. 

- His opinions of the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood are generally the same compared to most folk. The former he presumes to be the reason for the missing amulet. 

• Equipment/Gear: 
-Longword in scabard with a violet ribbon displaying the mark of the Order of the Lion.
-A studded leather jack and bracers.
-Hooded cloak.
-Backpack containing basic travelling supplies, and spare change of clothes.
-A reasonably sized pouch of gold. 

• Skill/Ability: 
-Andre was given a decent sword and hand-to-hand combat training, but he has not yet had a reason to use such training.
-He has some knowledge on how to use magic, spells mostly from the lines of Illusion & Restoration.

Character Name: Dar'jhan

Nickname: “Half-moon” due to the colouring of his face

Short Bio: Born in the year 4E 175 in the city of Corinthe, a day when he sun shone extremely hot and bright on the sands of Elsweyr. A day where Jone (Moon Secunda) almost hid behind Jode (Moon Masser). At least that is what his mother Sidura used to tell him when he was just a little cub which always made him feel as if he was special. In later life though Dar'jhan realized that mothers treat all their cubs as special little things and that his life was just as common as any other. Life in Corinthe was actualy very boring with Darh'jan spending his days roaming the city and watching the merchants in the many bazaars. His father Raban was a caravaneer who was almost never home but when he did he came with the most fascinating stories about his travels which filled the head of the young Dar'jhan with dreams of leaving Corinthe and travelling the many regions of Tamriel. 

But for that, he thought, you needed coin.

Even though his father was away for long periods of time, he did bring home a fair amount of septims which was mostly used to keep them fed, clothed and maintain the little store his mother sold things when Raban was on his travels. One day however they received a letter that stated that Raban was killed during an attempt of the Imperial watch to capture a group of alleged Skooma dealers and that his body already had been burned. After reading the letter, his mother locked herself in her room for a week, ignoring his pleads and refusing to eat, before finally coming out with a strange look in her eyes. She hugged her boy and gave him her twin moon amulet, telling him that it would bring him good luck and to be brave for the times to come before walking out the door. He never saw her again after that. 

In the days that followed, he stared often at the amulet, knowing not why his mother had left him and realized that the amount of septims that he had were decreasing steadily. He decided to get coins in the one place he knew he could find them: With the merchants at the grand bazaar.
Every day he went about to ask for work but every time he got shooed away by the traders or guards. Still he went, not willing to give up, wearing the amulet his mother left him.

One day however, his belly as empty as his purse, he tried once more with a merchant with a rather nasty reputation. The merchant looked at him, a starving young khajiit in ragged clothing, growled as he shoved him away and threatened to call the guards on him. Dar'jhan still doesn't know why he did it, but as the merchant turned his back towards him he could see the coin purse just sitting there, waiting to be taken. A few moments later Dar'jhan looked inside his newly acquired purse and counted the septims inside. If no one was willing to help him, he would help himself. So he survived for a bit, stealing and pickpocketing from the traders and customers. No one ever caught him even once until someone did. A caravan guard had grabbed him by the scruff of his neck and pushed him to the side of a nearby building, demanding the return of his purse and, after taking a glance at the twin moon amulet, asked where he got the amulet from. Dar'jhan reluctantly told him his story. The guard, now feeling pity for the young khajiit, offered to help him and join the caravan. He would teach him every thing he knew so he could earn an honest living which would be better than stealing.

The coming years young Dar'jhan saw his long-time dream come true as he travelled with the caravan and his tutor outside of Elsweyr, eventually becoming a guard himself. He enjoyed the life and the friendship he had build up with them. Even the cold and snowy roads of Skyrim didn't bother him that much. It was the coldness in the hearts of many Nords however that did at times. Not being able to go inside the city, having to sleep outside the city walls, being shunned and called names. He never quite understood how people could be like that. The last months leading up to the Stormcloak victory had gotten even more dangerous for Non-Nords and by the time Ulfric Stormcloak became the new High King, the caravans got harassed regularly by heavy taxes and angry Stormcloak supporters. Not too long ago an angry mob had attacked them while they were on the road, first thinking it to be a bandit attack. He got wounded badly and was found by a family who did their best to heal him. What happened to the rest of the caravan is still a mystery.

Personality and General Dispositions: Good hearted by nature, though feels no love for the Empire that is the reason his father was killed and his mother left him. (Or so he believes) Has certainly no love for the bigoted Stormcloaks as they are the reason he is in the state that he is in and took him away from his new 'family'. Believes strongly in “An eye for an eye” and will treat others how they treat him. Life on the road was hard and made him cautious.

Allegiance and loyalties: Only to himself, the caravan and the people who took him in and nursed him back to health.

Equipment/Gear: Well worn leather helmet and leather bracers, iron Boots, iron armor with a brownish sash, hide shield, steel sword, a few drakes (septims) and the amulet of the twin moons.

Skills and Ability: Natural stealthy as a Khajiit, highly agile from his younger thieving days. He used to pick pockets for a living before being a caravan guard, though that has been a long time ago and is not keen in returning to those days. Thanks to his tutor he learned to be efficient with a sword and shield or unarmed combat. Has not a thing for magic. Yet.

• Character Appearance: I would actually really like to draw Epesorn at some point! I might update this in the future. Until then, I've only got a description: He has long, blonde hair that is light enough to border on silver. He typically braided it while in Summerset, but stopped the practice when he fled; it now hangs loose. He has no facial hair. Epesorn is tall and golden-skinned, being an Altmer. He wears nondescript robes that are a light gray with yellow markings. They are enchanted to boost his magicka slightly. At his side hands his elven shortsword. Epesorn has light yellow eyes.

• Short Biography: 
	Epesorn was born in the capital of Alinor in 4E 177, making him 28. His immediate family, who were around during the Thalmor coup, had a history of dissenting opinions about the new regime, but had the common sense to keep their heads down to avoid persecution. Epesorn disagreed with his family; he took pride in his country and dreamt of joining the ranks of the Justiciars. Thalmor propaganda was an enormous influence on his perspective. He had never seen or interacted with any of the human races in real life, leaving him to the assurances of the Thalmor that they were a filth to be cleansed.
	When he was of age, he began study, eager to make his extended family proud. Several years of Justiciar training gave him an edge in both combat and sleuthing. His teacher, believing him to be Thalmor material, decided he was ready for real cases, and secured Epesorn a spot as witness during an interrogation of a suspected Imperial spy; a Redguard who had gotten caught. Under torture, the Redguard confessed. Epesorn was unprepared for this and, despite the Thalmor ideology drilled into his mind, underwent a drastic paradigm shift. He was disturbed by the brutal treatment of the prisoner, which went contrary to his nature. Epesorn reunited with his parents and apologized, admitting they were right and the Thalmor were cruel. While both his mother and father were glad he was on the right path, they cautioned him to keep quiet or risk being targeted by the government.
	But Epesorn, being young, rebelled against the idea of doing nothing while atrocities were carried out daily. He spoke to his friends and acquaintances, telling them what he had seen, and wondering about starting something; a rally, perhaps, some way to spread awareness of what was really happening under the surface. He even began plotting to free the Redguard prisoner he'd seen. Word got to the Thalmor - a mole in the group, maybe, or an eavesdropper - and Epesorn was brought to the very same interrogation room he had served as witness for, charged with treason. Being Altmer, they did not torture him, but he was made to confess with threats to his family. He admitted to working to destabilize the Thalmor's grip - the height of dishonor.
	As a fitting punishment for his crime, he was cursed by his own teacher. If Epesorn spoke a command word - unknown to him - he would instantly and without recourse perish. This rendered him mute by choice for fear of activating the spell. He can still speak if he wishes, but every word is a risk. There are a few he's said accidentally that he knows are safe, but doesn't say them often because it's hard to explain his condition without speech.
	Furthermore, he was exiled from the Summerset Isles and Aldmeri Dominion as a whole, becoming an apraxic mer. His family and friends were not informed of why he disappeared, but the suddenness of it was enough for them to get the message, and they remain unaware of whether he is alive. Epesorn was made to sail to Hammerfell, where he was met with hostility and occasionally violence; the Redguards of Hammerfell had no love for the Altmer, and Epesorn was unable to explain his situation. He travelled further north to Skyrim, where he now lives as an outcast. 

• Personality and General Disposition:
	Epesorn is very opinionated and was, before the curse, outspoken, which resulted in his expulsion from Summerset Isle. He has a strong moral compass and believes firmly in his values. He's bitter about the curse and has been working relentlessly to undo or disable it. Epesorn is a bit of a pacifist, and will search for alternate methods of conflict resolution before settling with violence. He believes combat to be an art form - in the Dominion, it was taught that battles between mer should be regarded as beautiful and tests of skill, whereas if men were involved, it was more of a nasty job, one that no one wanted, but that needed to be done. He doesn't believe the latter any longer, but agrees that fighting should be something of a spectacle.
	He's willing to forge friendships in Skyrim, but given the climate towards non-Nords - and especially Altmer - he's very wary around others. Epesorn has no problem with the Daedric Princes, but is as of yet unwilling to deal with them in any respect. He's skeptical about Talos' divinity, though this could be seen as a byproduct of his upbringing, and if debated on it he might not be able to really muster an argument for himself. He prays to the Divines equally. He shares a couple views with the Stormcloaks - namely, that the Aldmeri Dominion must be stopped. But the rabid xenophobia and intense nationalism drives him away from them just as much as any other non-Nord.

• Allegiance/Loyalties: None - since becoming an apraxic mer he is a free agent

• Equipment/Gear: An elven shortsword, made in traditional Altmeri style, enchanted with simple fire damage upon striking. No other possessions; when he left he was stripped of everything save his sword.

• Skills and Abilities: As a Justiciar in training, he learned primarily destruction and alteration magic, plus the basics of restoration. He is by no means a master, but could reasonably defend himself. Epesorn knows how to handle his shortsword, and relies on it only when his magicka is low. He's always curious about other schools of magic, but never strays far from his comfort zone, preferring to read about the spells he doesn't know.

• Short Biography:
Born in Bruma in the year 4E 170 - just a year before the start of the Great War, to Freyja and Quintus Tiberius. In many ways, Justinian's story begins where Quintus's ends. Quintus Tiberius was a Knight Captain of Blades, a faction of Imperial Agents sworn to the service of the Emperor himself. Throughout history, the Blades have served as the Emperor's bodyguards within the heartland, or as his secret eyes and ears throughout the other provinces. Quintus had joined the Blades at a relatively young age, where he met the young Freyja during one of his many routine visits to Bruma while outside of Cloud Ruler Temple. Freyja was a fiery Nord woman and the niece of the Count and Countess of Bruma. After some years of friendship and later courtship, the two eventually married. And yet, mere months after the birth of their first son, Quintus was called away to serve the Empire in a war against the Elves.

Quintus had made a name for himself in the war, managing to pull victory from the jaws of defeat in multiple engagements. And yet, despite all this, the Empire eventually capitulated to the demands of the Aldmeri Dominion. Unfortunately for Quintus, he was outside of the Empire's borders at the time of the White-Gold Concordant being signed, behind enemy lines in Thalmor territory in fact. As part of the White-Gold Concordant, the Blades were officially disbanded by the Emperor and dissolved. Those outside the borders were on their own, forced to go into hiding as the Thalmor Agents hunted them down one by one, Quintus included. In the end, the only thing left of him Freyja and the young Justinian had was his Akaviri sword, which the Thalmor had delivered to them after the execution. Officially it was touted as a courteous gesture, but unofficially everyone knew it was really just a warning. A similar gesture had been done for all the Blades who had been captured or killed during the War, and the underlying implications was obvious to everyone. Anyone who dared to defy the Dominion in the future would suffer this same fate.

Justinian grew up knowing his father only through stories told by his mother and others. They all painted the picture of Quintus having been one the great heroes of the Empire during the war. But Justinian found a different takeaway from the stories. His father hadn't just been a hero who died for his country, he'd instead been fed to wolves by it like some kind of sacrificial lamb. Why had the Emperor relented? Why had he signed a treaty that ended up sentencing so many of his loyal agents to death? It was like Bruma, and the entirety of Cyrodil, was no longer the home it was supposed to be. Justinian instead felt like a stranger, someone who didn't truly belong. Eventually he'd had enough of living under the rule of someone he believed was a cowardly excuse for an Emperor. He stole his father's Akaviri Sword and left home, traveling toward the Northern Border to his mother's homeland - to Skyrim.

But even in Skyrim, things were not much better. With the rise of the new High King, anti-foreigner sentiments ran rampant throughout the Holds. In fact, Justinian had had to lie about his parentage just to avoid being thrown out of towns or villages. Thankfully, by adopting the name Gungnir, he was able to pass himself off as a native Nord, at least to most folks anyway. But what to do? It seemed no matter where he went, Justinian felt like an outcast. In Cyrodil he felt like a stranger in his own home, and here in Skyrim he may as well have been an unwelcome outcast. If Tamriel even could still be saved from the encroaching Dominion, would it even be worth saving in this current state?

•Personality and General Disposition: Believe it or not, Justinian indeed still holds to the ideals of the Empire. Well, those of his father more specifically. The Empire had, at one time, been a great power in the world and at times, a force for good. That was all during the 3rd Era, a time known largely for the reign of the Septim Dynasty. But those were the ideals that Quintus had fought and died for, and they were the ideals that Justinian had come to adopt himself as well. But the Empire in its current state is something Justinian loathes to look at. He sees it a rotted shell, a warped and twisted shadow of what it used to be... of what it should be. And frankly, he's come to view Skyrim in much the same light. These lands were once the homes of great men and women, Heroes whom Justinian believed would be disgusted to see what they had become today. Politics aside, Justinian views much of the world around him through a more cynical lens, or as a "realist" as he would put it. He's quick to point out when someone's foolhardy idea is likely to get people killed, but not willing enough to intervene on anyone's behalf. At least most of the time, anyway. There are times when his better nature gets the best of him and he *does* intervene to save someone. Above all, Justinian lives by a simple motto, one engraved onto the blade of his father's sword in the Classical Cyrodilic tongue: Semper enim libertas. Always for liberty.

• Allegiance/Loyalties: Justinian has no current loyalties, save perhaps to his family back home. He used to stay in touch with his mother via letters, but those have become much less frequent after she recently assumed the rulership of Bruma and became its new Countess.

• Equipment/Gear: An Akaviri Sword that once belonged to his father, a sturdy crossbow and quiver of bolts, a set well-worn but dependable leather armor, and a backpack containing a few misc essentials such as rope, torches, and etc.
 
• Skills and Ability: Justinian posses no training nor talent for magic of any sort. He's rather skilled with his sword, as he had spent much of his formative years secretly using it to teach himself swordplay. But Justinian is also smart enough not to rely solely on the blade to solve his problems. Over the years, he's become a fairly adept marksman with a crossbow, and isn't afraid to use it to pick off as many enemies from a distance as possible before finally engaging in melee with them. And beyond that, Justinian is not above the utilization of traps, poisons, and other such tactics to cripple his enemy before moving in for the kill.

• Short Biography: 
Born 4E 175 in Whiterun. Holgarth’s mother passed away during childbirth while his father was out fighting in the great war. This left Holgarth placed in the care of his uncle, whom he was officially adopted by when they received news that his father had fallen during the Battle of the Red Ring. Despite the loss of his parents, and a civil war taking shape in their land, the rest of Holgarth’s childhood was surprisingly tame. 

His uncle, Torbhff, was a renowned tactician during his time in Legion. Though he had been forced to retire after sustaining a severe injury, he now spent his days working for Commander Caius training new recruits for the town guard. But skills aside, Torbhff was also known for his more progressive way of thinking. In his time he fought side by side with many non-Nords who showed the same courage and spirit as his kin. This led him to be a strong believer in treating everyone with honor. To protect and look after those in need no matter where they hailed from; a philosophy that grew increasingly unpopular each day. 

It was no surprise that Holgarth developed the same strong sense of compassion towards others, frequently going out of his way to help the members of the community. He would even buy food to give to vagabonds or Khajiit caravans who were camping outside the city; even if this gained him dirty looks from those who didn’t approve. When he wasn’t doing charity work or odd jobs around the city, Holgarth would sneak to the training grounds and pick up whatever lessons he could. He had every intention of joining the guard when he came of age, and he wanted to be more than prepared for the duties that came with it. 

By 4E 201, the troubles in Skyrim had reached a pinnacle. High King Torygg lay dead at the hands of Ulfric Stormcloak, and every hold had chosen a side; save for Whiterun. But that didn’t mean the citizens of those holds were in agreement. Whiterun itself became heavily divided, as the two most prominent families began feuding over who the Jarl should align with. On top of everything, news had spread of the destruction of Helgen and the return of the dragons. 

Holgarth, having been a guard for just over a decade, followed the example of his Jarl and remained neutral in the political strife. Though he had little faith in the current Emperor, Ulfric was far from qualified to take the throne he had tried to steal. Worst of all, neither side showed interest in making an effort to stop the dragons, a threat Whiterun had been dealing with first hand. He chose instead to focus on his duties. Be it bandits or beasts, he would be ready for anything that brought danger to his hold. At least, that is what he had hoped.

Once rumors started to spread that Alduin had been slain by the dragonborn, Ulfric sent Jarl Balgruuf an ultimatum: Swear allegiance to the Stormcloaks, or feel the wrath of the bear. Neutrality was no longer an option. His back against the wall, Balgruuf finally decided to support the Empire. It was only a few days before Whiterun found the Stormcloaks on their doorstep with an army that far out matched the guards and legionnaires inside the city. 

The bloodshed lasted for hours. Holgarth fought with all the might and fury he could muster. Even as his hammer grew heavy, and dozens of his friends were cut down around him, he refused to relent. In the end, it was not magic or steel that stopped the nord, but the sound of a horn and white flags being hung from Dragonsreach. Balgruuf had surrendered. Whiterun now belonged to the Stormcloaks.

Holgarth, his uncle, and the other remaining guards were stripped of their uniforms and exiled from the hold. Torbhff suggested they leave Skyrim, and head to Bruma in Cyrodiil, but Holgarth was not ready to give up on Skyrim. Unable to convince the other, they went their separate ways.

For the last few years Holgarth has wandered the land, keeping his head down until the day comes when he can once again wield his hammer to serve his kin and country. 

•Personality and General Disposition: Though he no longer dons the armor, Holgarth is still a guard at heart. He stands tall with confidence, moves with purpose, and speaks with authority in his voice. His words are often straightforward and blunt to get any point across, not bothering to honey them at all. Afterall, unless a Thuum is involved, words are meaningless in the face of action.

This demeanor can make Holgarth come off as a gruff brute, the sort of person to stay clear of unless absolutely necessary. But below his rough exterior is still a gentle giant who is eager to welcome anyone into his home. Well, when he had a home. Nevertheless, those who do approach Holgarth will find he is quick to offer a bottle of mead, a warm meal, and a spot near his campfire. To him, if you carry yourself with honor and call this land your home, then you belong in Skyrim just as much as any Nord. But do not mistake Holgarth’s trusting nature as naivety. He has an eye for thieves and thugs, and he will not hesitate to bring the hammer down on anyone that tries to wrong him.

Holgarth’s time in the guard has made him an excellent warrior. Highly trained in two handed and one handed weapons, as well archery, Holgarth can make use of just about any weapon. But even the best still get hit, which is why he specializes in heavy armor. Allowing him to take a beating while he dishes one out.
He is also decent with equipment maintenance. Though he can’t forge anything new, he has learned how to improve both weapons and armor of all types.
And while he is no Gourmet, you’d be hard pressed to find a better cook on the road!

Character Name: Zazar Palus The Fifth 

• Character Race: Argonian

• Character Appearance: 

Zazar is 5'6 with a slender body that is toned, The skin color of his body is dark green with small patches of brown all over his body. The claws of his hands and feet are sharp with his feet being elevated so it looks like he walks on his hind legs like a cat. Having two sharp horns on the sides of his head and has bright blue eyes. Zazar wears a long dark blue robe with a hood that covers most of his body, Wearing bracelets, ankles and a few necklaces around his neck that seem to be made out of metal.

• Short Biography: 

Zazar was born in 4E 175  in  a town near Stormhold , Black Marsh living with his mother, father and his older brother Cyrus. As he was growing up he worked in his father’s shop called the Krull’s Magical Emporium, his mother who also worked there started teaching him and his brother magic when they were young.  Zazar took a particular interest in alchemy and mercantile. In his teenage years he was taught  in the school of illusion and mysticism magic by an Argonian named Ka-Ten.. When Zazar reached adulthood he moved to Skyrim much to the dismay of his family. However he convinced them he would be attending the college of Winterhold to further his studies and would send them letters regularly. Having saved enough money to purchase a carriage to transport most of his things. During the carriage ride in Morrowind he was ambushed by some Dunmur bandits, his possessions being stolen and Zazar left to bleed out from a stab wound.  Luckily for him he was saved by a Orc woman named Matilda Ironshield, a travelling merchant that found Zazar a couple of moments after he was robbed. 

She soon took care of him for the next couple of months, the two of them eventually becoming quite close. However once he was fully recovered he had asked her to join him in Skyrim, but she declined telling him that she did not love him. Heart broken he ventured towards Skyrim with only his clothing and the few personal possessions he had salvaged. Once in Winterhold he was hesitant that he would actually be accepted by the college, and his hesitation was correct as he was denined entries into the college. Feeling dejected by the college, he  started a store called Zazar’s Magical Emporium. Buying and selling magical items.

•Personality and General Disposition: 

To other people Zazar seems quite friendly towards everyone, especially towards the other races. However he has a fear and resentment towards Dunmers, and has a quite strange affection towards Orcs. Zazar will try to strike a friendly conversation with anyone.  He is an animal lover but he mostly loves small mammals  like rabbits or cats. Zazar is a little bit of a kleptomaniac, having a compulsion to steal. Having also a very playful personality, Loving to tease and joking around with other people.A dedicated worker being focused on a job he is given, Although at times he can become too fixated on work that when he is doing a job he obsesses over every detail. Having a violent and almost sadistic side to him when fighting others.Being anti-social he doesn't know the difference between sarcasm and when someone is saying something seriously.

Placeholder: A brunette with defined Nordic facial features and sharp, defined ears with a definite point. Like some kind of earth muscle elf.

• Short Biography:  Lilaia grew up with her Nord mother on their farmstead. Her father was a spellknight in service to the local Breton king, but her mother had insisted on doing something productive with her time. As Lilaia grew older and more difficult to entertain, the two of them took to exploring local ruins. It was a chance to see the history of the area for herself, and put her father's magic lessons to the test at the same time.
   Her talents as a historian and a mage became apparent, and her father afforded her the opportunity for greater learning, as apprentice to a local lord's court wizard. It didn't take her long to absorb the lessons and be sent on to another court wizard, a pattern to be repeated a few times before she would lament to her mother that her teachers, though perfectly knowledgeable and capable wizards, were terrible teachers. It was then she would learn of the College of Winterhold, though at the time, the distance was greater than her motivation.
      She knew her mother was from Skyrim, and she did have an interest in that side of their history, but there was yet more in High Rock. Ironically, it would lead her to Skyrim. She was out exploring, looking for new ruins in places she hadn't been, when she found traces of an entire Wyrd that had disappeared. The traces led her East.
    The end of her trail was already bloody and rather disappointing. The Wyrd had been pursued and then both the Wyrd and their pursuers had been annihilated. By this point, she was already in Skyrim, a land rich with the history of her mother's people. As long as she was here, halfway to Winterhold, it seemed like a worthwhile stop. They should even have soul gems. After the first time she found soul gems inside of a ruin, she knew she had to spend some time in Skyrim.

•Personality and General Disposition: Lilaia is studious lass with a calm demeanor, though she holds a fierce regard toward acts that might disrupt the preservation of historical specimens. She likes sweetrolls baked with cinnamon and good wine, though she certainly won't complain about honey ale to go with a slab of meat. 

• Allegiance/Loyalties: Lilaia is vaguely tied to the kingdoms of western High Rock, but no formal allegiance exists there.

• Equipment/Gear: Lilaia wears light armor she's enchanted herself, finding it easy enough to cast spells with a little practice articulating. She conjures her weapons, though has a sword at her side that she made with an alloy she's experimenting with, trying to cross light weight with strength. And a backup axe.
 
• Skills and Ability: Lilaia excels in preparation. She's been making her own armor and repairs for a while, selling the old off and buying materials to make a replacement when she got the materials together to make another enchantment. She's also been working on a technique to enchant a bound weapon on summoning, and has been waiting to perfect the technique before trying it out on an atronach. She usually fights with her bound bow, sword, or destruction spells, and is a decent healer.  She hasn't had much exposure to combat besides hostile creatures in ruins and self-defense on the roads of Skyrim. If you could see them coming from far enough, a barrage of arrows and firebolts from a fire atronach could usually turn bandits around.

Biography: Rorik grew up on the small farmstead just south of Windhelm, raised by his parents who were staunch supporters of the Stormcloak cause. With both of his parents having fought for the Stormcloaks. With tales of the warrior’s life told by his parents, Rorik always dreamed of rising high in the ranks of the Stormcloaks from a very young age.  In his youth he pretended to fight in wars with sticks with his brothers and sisters and other children on the other farms. As he started to get older, he helped in his fathers’ forge making simple tools and weapons. Constantly beating metal and fighting started to build muscle in him, he also grew fast becoming very tall, even for a Nord.

When he was old enough, he joined the Stormcloak army and this is where he started to get his first taste of warfare fighting small skirmishes in the reach against the Forsworn. Rorik believed what he was doing there made a difference fighting against people who were destroying his homeland. With his size and strength, Rorik became known as a great fighter, even though he wasn’t the most skilled.

A few years later after not much success stopping the Forsworn completely, Rorik and his company were sent back to Windhelm, the city where he originally signed up. They had a few days off to see their loved ones which Rorik did. On his way home, he passed a mine where some local guards were hanging a Dunmer. Rorik didn’t ask to why they were killing the Dunmer but something didn’t sit well with him. When he was home, this is when he learned about how the Dark Elves had been forced to work the mines, basically becoming slaves for the Stormcloaks. His parents didn’t really care about it, but it wasn’t the reason has to why he signed up to fight and the ideals that his parents had told him of a free Skyrim for the Nords. He didn’t believe that the way to gain freedom from the Empire and the Thalmor was to enslave others. Everyone should be free Rorik thought, but Skyrim should just be governed by Nords. He started to see that his views were different to the views of what he was fighting for and he’d been too stupid to realise it. 

A few days later when he was back in Windhelm, he wanted to visit the Gray quarter to see what kind of state it was in. When he was walking through, he thought it seemed more like a giant prison than a place to actually live. The buildings were close to falling down and there were shanties all in the alleyways with the Dunmers looking half starved to death. He came upon some guards beating up an old Dunmer and laughing and this is the moment Rorik’s mind was made up. He stormed over there and started to attack the guards. He managed to take out two of them but there was too many and they piled on him. He was thrown in the stocks for a few days, with the guards claiming he attacked them in a drunken rage for no reason. The moment he was released from the prison, he went to buy some iron armour and an iron battle axe and deserted the Stormcloaks, throwing away his uniform. As he travelled around Skyrim doing odd jobs, giving different names and never staying anywhere for too long, he started to hear about a resistance against the Stormcloaks led by a man from Windhelm. Rorik was unsure what to do because he had an idea what they did to deserters but he headed there anyway trying to find a way to sneak into the city.

Personality and General Disposition: Rorik is a friendly, outgoing Nord who always tries to see the best in people. He will try and defend people even if it leads to him getting into trouble. Probably the worst trait about Rorik is that he isn’t really the brightest, he can take a while to understand a joke and even finds it hard to understand the intricacies of plots and the arts of politics.

Allegiance/Loyalties: Ex Stormcloak Soldier. His loyalties lie with whoever need his help.

Equipment/Gear: Some plain made iron armour and an iron battle axe. He keeps some gear on his horse that has some different clothes that he wears under his armour, a tent and some hunting equipment, he also carries some gold. 

 Skills and Abilities: Rorik’s main skill is just his pure strength when he’s gotten a hold of his axe. He also can take quite a lot of pain. When he was in the army, he learned a few simple hunting tricks on how to set up traps and also how to skin and cook animals. Also has the slightest knowledge of blacksmithing.

• Short Biography: 

Matilda was born in Mor Khazgur living with her father and two older brothers, Her mother having passed away giving birth to Matilda. In her youth she was trained to fight by her master named Kreel Silvershield, being more skilled in two handed weapons, archery and blacksmithing. As a teenager her family moved to  Markarth, her brothers became mercenaries while Matilda helped her father with his blacksmithing.  Doing this for a couple of years while still training with Kreel who joined them later in the year. When she came of age she joined the Imperial Legion, hoping to help keep Skyrim safe. However she was soon thrust into war with the Stormcloak Rebellion happening. During her many hours of combat, she wields a long and heavy sword called “Mortifer.” However with the defeat of the Imperial Legion she was forced to flee to Winterhold under the name June Copperhammer.  Working as the local blacksmith that immigrated from Orsinium. While being a blacksmith, her other occupation is working with the resistance to try and overthrow the Stormcloaks.

Matilda is loud and brass wanting to be the center of attention, whether it be good or bad she will do anything for people to notice her. She loves to fight and is willing to instigate one with strangers, However she knows when she would not have a fighting chance against someone. Using a tough-as-nails attitude to push people away from her, She rarely connects to people on an emotional level using her brassiness to deter others from getting close to her. The only time she is willing to get close to someone is if it is her family or someone she can trust enough to  get close to.

During her time with Kreel and her father she is skilled in two handed weapons, archery, heavy armor and blacksmithing. Kreel also trained her on how to fight in hand to hand combat in case she loses her weapon.
