"Maybe so, but the pokemon there get stronger the higher level your team is. Its almost supernatural how it goes. If I was to go there, with my current team, I would face upwards of around lv 70 to lv90 pokemon. With each of your strongest mons, I would assume you would be pushing close to lv 100 pokemon with maxed out IV and EV's as well as all pretty devastating attacks and stats. Even your Mewtwo would struggle" Selina told him, laying out the exact details of the Isle.

"You're probably right," Shiranui admitted, "It took the efforts of two Pokémon to defeat Saisei back at the Viridian Gym. Even one-on-one there are ways to defeat them."

"Well, we need to be over at the stadium before too long," Liam said. "Think we should head on over?"

"Sounds like a good idea to me." Chuck said, straightening his backpack.

Selina nodded and said "No time like the present, let's get a move one". She took lead to take the group back to the stadium.

Liam recalled his two Pokémon and was ready to go.

Jen recalls her Pokémon set for Aura and she is ready to go.

Shiranui recalled Sogekishu, changed into the uniform issued to him and is now ready for his first gym battle in Galar.

The heroes made their way to the stadium for the opening ceremony. Liam checked in and waited for time to go in. The boy from the other day who wore a pink coat saw Liam and approached. Now the boy wore the white uniform that participants are to wear, but where Liam's bore the number "11", the boy's bore the number "908". He curtly asked Liam who sponsored him.
"Rihan," Liam replied.
The boy gave a smug chuckle before revealing he was sponsored by Chairman Rose and that it made him better than Liam.
"It's cute you think that," Liam said. "Just because one of the most important people in Galar sponsored you doesn't make you better than the others. If you don't change your thinking, you will be in for a rude awakening."
The boy sneered and claimed he would be the first to beat Leon and walked off.

"That boy really has a bad attitude." Chuck said, walking up to Liam. "I mean it's like you said, the status of your sponsor doesn't equate to your own personal strength. I mean, if we really wanted to, we could probably have gotten sponsored by the chairman ourselves for being champions of other regions, but instead we went with people we actually know. And from what I've heard about the kid, he was taken in by the chairman and given the Pokemon he uses."

"In other words: no better than a spoiled rich kid," Shiranui commented. His shirt bore the number 154.

Selina scoffed at Bede claims. "Remind me of one of my old rival, when I did the gym challenges. I wonder how he would feel if I put him in his place since I was the finalist of my challenge, only beaten by Leon, who of course is champion now" She said, pulling a face at Bede back before chuckling as Zerina suggested an idea to her. "As much as I think that would be as funny as all hell Zerina, I rather not stoop to his level"

Jen shirt board the number 13, “one of us will battle him to teach him a lesson.”

"Either through crossing paths, the PWCS or at the Galar League," Shiranui added. He hoped it was him that served Bede a slice of humble pie.

"With someone like him, he'd probably write off any victory against him as luck on our part." Chuck said. "His ego is too great to accept any other reason."

Shiranui agreed with that statement. "He wouldn't be the only trainer to have such a superiority complex," he replied.

The participants heard a buzzer that told them it was time to enter the stadium. Riku waved to Liam in the crowd. "445" was the number on Riku's jersey, but it was partially obstructed by the crowd. Chairman Rose had welcomed the participants as the trainers walked out into the stadium to a roar of applause.
"And now, to my right, you will see seven of our 8 gym leaders for this season:

The grass specialist: Milo!, The Water specialist: Nessa, The Fire specialist: Kabu, The Ghost specialist: Alister The Fairy specialist: Opal, The Ground specialist: Gordie, and The Dragon specialist: Rihan All walked out in a row, to a bunch of cheers. Some of them, such as Rihan and Milo waved to the audience. Alister, who already stuck out amongst them as the only one wearing a mask shyly stood there with the other gym leaders. Liam noticed that some of the participants were waving to the crowds, and some such as the stuck-up kid, Bede stood there smugly. Rose ended the ceremonies and dismissed the participants to go about their way, saying Turfield was the location of the first gym.

Jen agree with her friends statements about Bede as she and Aura enjoys the open ceremony. It gives them a chance to check out the gym leaders and the other comptestions.

"This never gets old, though the line up has changed since I last did my challenge" Selina said to her friends once they were back in the waiting room. "Nessa, Alistair and Gordie are all new to me and I knew Rahian would get to be Gym Leader anyway" she added.

"Gordie is my cousin, so it'll be interesting to battle him. Although, the alternative would have been my aunt, his mother." Chuck said, waiving to Gordie, who waived back.

"I forget your related to pretty much every ice gym leader in the world, though I'm related to some quite prominent people in the world too. Imagine if you and I would get toguther Chucky, we'd have a large powerful family" Selina said to him in a teasing manner while blowing a kiss before alter her outfit slightly to make it a bit more Twilight coloured.

"Anyway, let's move people. We've got badges to collect, well you guys at least. I've got exhibitions matches lined up with each of the leaders" She said to group with a smile.
