Years have passed since the fall of Darth Sidious, the fractured Empire and the New Republics war continued to rage across the Galaxy until the Battle of Jakku where the Empire was finally defeated and most of the remaining holdouts surrendered to the new galactic power. As the galaxy stabilized with the New Republic becoming the dominant power in the Galaxy.
The JEDI ORDER, lead by the famous LUKE SKYWALKER travels across the galaxy, fulfilling their purpose of old. Helping to bring peace to troubled systems, as LEIA ORGANA works to assist them with her GALACTIC ALLIANCE RANGERS and her diplomatic contacts. Despite the peace that exists across the Galaxy, something stirs in the shadow. A threat unlike any that the Galaxy has seen in thousands of years.
Welcome to Rise of Crusade! A Star Wars AU Roleplay set within the time period of the sequels. The Galaxy is in a relative period of peace, the New Republic is the Galactic Superpower with several other small groups seeing their chance and growing in the void of the long lost Empire. Aging heroes stepping aside to let the next generation rise and take their steps into a galaxy of their own making, but something sinister is growing in the edges of the Galaxy.
We will be using a mix of EU and Disney Canon, this is mainly so that there will be familiar elements for players rather than doing something wholly unique, it also means that we have the capability to just look things we may need up on the Wikia.
So step up, step forth and take your space and make your mark. My aim is to create a truly immersive Star Wars story. There's going to be some freedom/sandbox elements however I will also be pushing forward a central plot, as an untold evil casts its shadow over the Stars (Something OC, it's not the Yuuzhan Vong or Palpatine). From the lowliest smuggler, to the mightiest Jedi everyone has a place in this story.

FACTIONS:
With the death of Emperor Palpatine at the Battle of Endor in 4 ABY, the Alliance to Restore the Republic was reorganized into the New Republic, which was officially founded a year later. Modeled on the principles of its predecessor, the New Republic strove to dismantle Palpatine's New Order by restoring democracy after an era of Imperial rule. After the Battle of Jakku, the Republic accepted the Empire's formal surrender in 5 ABY, resulting in the Galactic Concordance peace treaty that ended the civil war in the same year. The New Republic Defense Force was significantly reduced, serving as a peacekeeping force while individual member worlds raised their own planetary defense forces. The Republic was only a fraction of the size of its predecessors, and therefore, relied on egalitarian policies to remain on friendly terms with neutral star systems.
The New Republic originally had some issues with the New Separatist Union and the New Confederacy of Corporate Systems. Nataasi Daala played on these issues, framing the New Republic for the attacks. Eventually, with the help of Lukes Jedi order and Leias Rangers the truth was revealed. The New Republic became a founding member of the Galactic Alliance. While other factions certainly have power, the New Republic holds the most space, including the most political and economic power.
Lukes order was founded on Yavin as he formed a Jedi Temple, people from all over the Galaxy came forth in order to train with the hero of the New Republic. Not everyone had honourable intentions, there were several assassination attempts however Luke always thwarted them. The Jedi continued to grow, as he successfully trained students he then gave them permission to teach.
The major difference to the Jedi Order of old was that Luke more or less allowed the Jedi out into the Galaxy. Believing that should they allow the Force to guide them they would do what needed to be done. After the crisis between Daala, the New Republic and the Separatists Luke decided that he needed to take more direct control over the day-to-day operations carried out by the Jedi now numbering over a hundred across the galaxy. Realizing that very easily they could have become entangled in the war orchestrated by Daala to destabilize the Republic.
Going forth he stayed solely on the new Jedi Temple on Ahch-To while various Jedi Knights and masters spread throughout the Galaxy, working closely with the Galactic Alliance Rangers managed by his sister, Leia.
As the truth about his father was revealed to the Galaxy at large, Luke succumb to political pressure from outwith the order and refounded the Jedi Council from the strongest and wisest among the order. Now all the most important decisions from the order had to be held to a vote.
In the time of the Old Republic there were thousands of Jedi and hundreds of different disciplines. Though with such diminished numbers the Jedi need a bit more flexibility within its numbers in order to fulfill the variety of roles that are required of them. As such they merely work in three disciplines.
Jedi Consular: A Consular focuses on dedication and mastery of their Force abilities. They favour using the Force to resolve problems rather than the use of their lightsaber.
Jedi Guardian: Jedi Guardians focus on the physical aspect of being a Jedi. Lightsaber Control, fighting styles, investigations, blaster work, being a pilot.
Jedi Sentinel: Sentinels balance it out. They don't focus too much on either discipline and instead work to ensure that they can do a bit of both. Due to the requirements of the Order, most Jedi currently fit this bracket.
The main difference to the Jedi Order in these times is that members can join the order at any age, so long as they show the aptitude and have the ability to wield the Force. Any potential recruit is thoroughly vetted before whatever members of the council happen to be on Ahch-To at the time (there are always at least three) decide whether or not to allow them into the order.
Potential recruits are allowed to join even if they have families, however, they need to acknowledge that their duty to the Jedi is a lifelong commitment.
Since the formation of the Galactic Alliance, the Jedi Council has cleared the way to allow the Jedi recognition and the ability to work throughout most of the known Galaxy.
Luke Skywalker: Luke is the son of Anakin Skywalker and was the first Jedi trained by a Jedi Master in a generation. He spent his first couple of years after the battle of Endor learning everything he could about the Jedi until he started to train the next generation bringing the order back.
For years he didn't reform the council, instead, he felt that he himself could guide the Jedi to where they needed to be. Trusting their judgment to allow the Force to guide the individual.
It wasn't until the fact that his father was Darth Vader became public knowledge that political pressure resulted in the creation of the Jedi Council, to which Luke was obviously given a seat.
Clighal: Clighal is a Mon Cal and one of Lukes first students. She focused her attention on the lost ability to heal with the Force and is regarded as the Jedi Orders foremost expert on healing abilities. Before she had become a Jedi she had been a doctor, a profession she has honed and perfected since becoming a Jedi.
She typically never leaves the temple and is likely the strongest opposed to the Jedi getting involved in politics and battles across the Galaxy.
Madron: Madron is the duelmaster of the Jedi Order. He has spent his time studying all the lost forms of combat held by the Jedi in the Old Republic (or every possible variation that he can find in Holocrons and written down). Madron spends most of his time at the temple however likes to get involved in missions as often as possible, quite often assisting less experienced Jedi if they get in over their heads.
Nacond Takkoo: Nancond was a pilot within Rogue Squadron in the later years of the war, him and Luke worked together several times towards the wars end where Luke suspected the Rodian of having latent Force abilities. Once the war was over and Nacond chose to retire from military service, Luke approached him and trained him in his first batch of Jedi Recruits.
Worror: Worror is an Ithorian Jedi that survived the Jedi Purge of Order 66. Surviving the Purge he returned to his homeworld of Ithor. He underwent the ritual in order to gain clearance to land on the planet surface, in the great garden. Once he was down on the surface he disappeared into the forests, never to be seen from again. Though Imperial Reports of excursions down to the planet talked about weird reactions to plant life, trapping and killing Imperial personnel.
When the war ended Luke went to investigate these findings, finding Worror and inviting him to rejoin the new order.
Avira Nyx: Avira was Padawan to Jocasta Nu in one of her hidden libraries after the events of Order 66. Barely a Padawan when her master went missing, the young girl grew up surrounded by the history of the Jedi and thousands of books and holocrons. Luke found several of Jocasta Nus libraries until he finally came across Aviras.
Avira has become the resident librarian and historian of the Jedi Order. Relocating much off Jocasta Nus vast libraries into the Jedi Temple on Ahch-To.
The New Separatist Union was formed by members of the Rebel Alliance that had formerly been members of the Confederacy of Independent Systems during the Clone Wars. Using extensive droid labour and armies to secure their space they reclaim what they lost to the Empire, focusing on trying to build a fairer and more 'just' system than the Galactic Republic, who they had formerly fought against. Now that they didn't need the Rebel Alliance they decided to move on and do their own thing.
Border friction was a recurring issue between the NSU and the NR, with Daala utilising it to her advantage before she was stopped. Easily the second biggest superpower in terms of manpower, the NSU is the main reason that Luke has refrained from having his Jedi Order being loyal solely to the Republic, wanting to make sure that they can help everyone that needs it. Not just Republic citizens.
The Confederacy of Corporate Systems is the outreach of the Corporate Sector Authority. Seeing a vacuum throughout the Galaxy they extended their reach, offering protection for resources or labor. They involve themselves less in politics, and more in the corporate side of things. Playing a role very similar to that of those within the Trade Federation and various corporate alliances who joined the military during the clone wars.
Paired with the New Separatist Union they formed an early alliance, the CCS constructs most of the droid labour used by the NSU.
The Galactic Alliance was formed to counter the threat of Daala and her plot against the free people of the Galaxy and her resurgent Empire. While she didn't have the vast numbers to counter the joint forces of the Galaxy, she had the technology to cause significant damage to the free peoples of the Galaxy. With Luke Skywalker and Leia Organa-Solo leading the charge they managed to unify the free peoples of the Galaxy as the Galactic Alliance to counter the threat.
While it has no official standing military, Leia Organa-Solos rangers are the only military that can operate while crossing borders. Their agents typically deploying with the Jedi.
Coruscant acts as the de-facto capital for the Galactic Alliance, the old Republic buildings turned into offices, meeting rooms, military quarters, and embassies for the various member states. The former Imperial Palace, once the Jedi Temple homes the Alliance Rangers as their main base of operations.
Leia formed the Rangers in the spirit of the Antarian Rangers of old. Realizing that the Jedi didn't have the numbers to try and keep the peace over the Galaxy, she recruited Rebellion agents across the galaxy into what was originally meant to be a specific agent for the New Republic. After the Daala crisis she campaigned to become the official agents of the Galactic Alliance. In many ways they are the peacekeepers of the Galaxy, often working with the Jedi to bring peace across the galaxy, resolving issues in systems that don't necessarily have the resources or the capability to look after themselves.
Like the Jedi themselves Rangers are highly specialised both in combat and in peace-keeping operations. They can range from anything from Pilots, Investigators, Soldiers, Technicians.
The First Order is the result of growing dissent within the New Republic Senate. Many systems joined the New Republic after the Empire surrender at the Battle of Jakku. Creating a Centrist movement within the New Republic, a group of Senators representing worlds believed that the Empire was the right idea, but solely by Palpatines Machinations that it was a flawed system. As the New Republic focused more on overall protection while allowing the autonomy of individual systems, many of these Senators (and their world leaders) were disgruntled that they could get no more than a lone Jedi or a couple of Rangers to help with incidents.
While the New Republic was still being founded Lawlessness was at an all-time high in the Galaxy, not seen since the chaos of the Clone Wars. Slowly systems based around Bastion began to secede from the New Republic, however it wasn't until much later that they officially organized themselves as the First Order, under the control of one Allegiant General Pryde.
The formation of this new group has caused worry to rise within the New Republic however with being a member state of the Galactic Alliance many believe that the First Order, despite its growing military, is unlikely to attack due to them being outnumbered.
The First Order itself has a representative on Coruscant, who repeatedly states that they have no intention of conquering the Galaxy. Merely securing themselves and doing what is best for their own people.
That said Alliance Operatives and Jedi are unwelcome within their borders.

1. While I am open to Input, like many RP's GMs word is law. 2. No killing off other player characters/Important NPCs with just one hit. The discussion needs to happen OOC and agreements need to be made that said... 3. If you do something incredibly stupid, such as putting your character right in the way of a turbolaster blast. They're probably going to die, while I want to avoid having anyones chars/npcs die when they don't want them too, try to act logically with them to preserve their life. 4. Please keep faction growth realistic, if you are in charge of a faction. 5. No Metagaming/Powergaming. 6. This Roleplay is going to contain some slightly more mature themes, blood, gore and swearing is allowed however should be kept tasteful (no doing it just for the sake of doing it). Anything in regards to what you are doing to that alien hooker, we don't need to know. 7. Hi 8. Initial Maximum of Two PCs per player, further can be discussed after at least four good quality posts in two weeks. 9. Respect each other. 10. Have fun.

Name: Percivalyn Wiliamsam Nickname: Percy (mostly for the notes since there's likely not many people who would use her full name) Species: Twi'lek Age: 25 Appearance: Dark blue skin matched with pale blue eyes on a heart-shaped face on top a short, slender frame. Most of the time her expression is utterly stoic and serene. She wears completely traditional Jedi Robes, having the layers and how it hangs help disguise her figure. Her headtails hang free, though if one were given the chance to look closely at her tails and on her back, they would find claw marks and whip scars. On the base of the tails and her wrists, the clear sign of chaffing from metal restraints Faction: Jedi Order Equipment: Her lightsaber with a blue kyber crystal Abilities(For Force Users): Force Healing (Expert): One of Clighal's most eager pupils, Percy's natural talent for the ability has improved greatly since her early days in the Order. With the guidance she's been given, she's learned how to mentally picture exactly what needs to happen in order for the person to better recover then use her power to cause that to happen. A drawback for her though is that the more intense the healing requires for what she wants done, the more power is needed from her and the more she feels the pain that the other person is going through. Technically, she could save someone from the brink of death, depending on the cause, but it would be a tossup whether she would die soon afterwards or not. Even in not so extreme cases, her way is very time-consuming and requires her complete focus. She can only safely do it within a location like the temple, or if there's someone she can be sure will watch out for both her and her patient.
Telekinesis(Skilled): Can lift up roughly several little things between pebble and handheld size, some big things about dog to human size, or one thing about starfighter size at any one time. Takes a lot of focus to do. (Potentially develops to be able to telekinetically move water and/or light waves)
Telepathy (Skilled): Can talk to minds within eyesight of her without sacrificing much of her outward focus. Needs total focus to act as a link between multiple people or to contact someone that she already knows from out of her vision range.
Force Empathy/Insight (Average, working to get skilled, wants to go further): Can currently receive strong impressions of a person's current emotional state with some faint reads of their intentions and desires. Wants to get to the point where she knows who a person is and what they want at a glance, but is a far ways away from that point. The more closed off, whether Force wise or simply personality wise, a person is, the harder they are for her to read and so the more effort she has to put in to get any sort of reading and even that might not break through. Alternatively, she can be misled through very skilled, Marlon Brando type acting or someone having a very convincing front hiding anything underneath, such as people that act the playboy to hide their self-loathing. If she doesn't question the first impressions she gets, then she won't put in the effort to try to read more. If she does, the front acts as much like a shield as simply being closed off does, with similar results.
Lightsaber Wielding (Mediocre, working to get average): Using the lightsaber never came as easily to her as using the Force did. If she were to have her way, Percy would prefer to never have to fight, but understands all too well that it's always better to have some way to defend yourself. So she's pushed herself to get to the level that's she's at, but is better off with words and powers. Basically uses a mix of Forms I, III, and VI in her fighting style, not mastering any of it, but using what suits her of the styles.
Force Persuasion (Weak): Knows how to do it and has the will to use it, but just about throws up any time she tries. The very thought of using it upsets her on a deep level.
Skills: First Aid/Medicine: The knowledge from that helps with her Force Healing and its useful to her in times where she can't afford the time or energy for using her powers. Knowledge of Various Common Languages from Core and Outer Rim Worlds: She picked up a lot of rough knowledge of the various languages being spoken at her while a slave. Once a Jedi, she pushed to better develop them so that she can at least understand other people without relying on a translator. Did take the time to completely learn the Twi'lek language so she could have that connection with her own people. Singing: One of her valued skills was her voice. Part of Percy wants to let it die away, but the rest finds an odd sort of comfort with the familiar. She only sings though when she's sure no one is watching, and has picked up songs now she wants to sing. Dancing: As a Twi'lek, this was the main skill that was wanted of her. It's too ingrained now to ever lose entirely, though she's tried to not encourage it at all. Poetry: A skill she picked up for herself, it's the main thing she likes to do in her freetime. This way, she creates beauty through the reading and writing she learned as part of the safe house, one that's completely separate from her physical traits. A definite amateur, but she doesn't mind.
Weaknesses: Stubborn: Once she comes to a conclusion or makes a decision, only someone she trusts or what she considers to be irrefutable evidence can ever sway her from it. And she does not trust a lot of people. She's a stone wall to anyone trying to force her to change, an immovable object that some will mistake for her simply being cold, unfeeling, and self-righteous when really its her not wanting to be controlled and manipulated by anyone else ever again. A Temper: For the most part, Percy has a great deal of control over her emotions. Or, as much as it is control to constantly try to appear and serene all the time. However, rile her up, get her in a corner, or trigger one of her buttons and her wrath will come and come swiftly. She's always horrified after it comes and does all she can to shove down that anger, but of course, that only makes it worse when it springs up again. Nothing much has come from it yet, but she's terrified that both something will happen that she will never be able to turn back from and that she'll be kicked out of the Order. Meaning that she tries to hide it even from the people she trusts, trying to face all that entails, and the temptations to the Dark Side as well, all on her own. Suspicious: She's slow to trust anyone, requiring some time and dedication from the other to even warm her up. Otherwise, she will only be polite and professional, constantly on guard for any reason for the other person to be potentially threatening to her or anyone else. A major reason she wants to develop her Force Empathy and Insight more. Weak: She was never physically strong. And her life before the temple did not help much with that. Now that she's been some time in the temple, she's become at least healthy, but she is still much weaker than other Twi'lek women around her age ought to be. If she's ever overwhelmed then, or is somehow blocked from the Force, she truly does not stand a chance against anybody in a one on one brawl. Nightmares: She'll sometimes have nightmares of the past. Not as many as there use to be, but they still periodically come and cause her to not be able to sleep the rest of the night.
History: Percivalyn had no memory of her parents, just faint impressions. She's certain they were loving, but she doesn't know who they were, or even what name they gave her. Her earliest memories were of a slave auction, being sold to some minor Hutt before he lost her gambling with a Dug, who was often drunk and smelled of liquor, before he sold her to a Rodian Debt Collector to pay off for his gambling and drink. From there, her mind blurs until she ended up in a cargo hold to be sold someplace else. That would have continued to be her life, except for the intervention of the Alliance Rangers.
That was a time she'd always remember. Them coming through the hold, the chains coming off, the Jedi that came around to all of them to see if they were injured before rations were passed around. They had been the best food she'd ever tasted. Soon after, they were told they were free and offered rides to anyplace they wanted to go. Some were ecstatic, knowing exactly who and where they wanted to return to. Others like Pery, couldn't understand what was happening. The Rangers though brought them to a set up safe house where they could receive therapy, learn skills to help them in the free world, and figure out who they were and what they wanted to do with the rest of their lives. It was while there that Percivalyn choose her name, and first showed her force potential. It was a simple thing to her. Someone was about to trip and spill the pot of scalding soup they were carrying before she told them to stop. After that, more instances like that happened, until she was sent to the Council for a formal test and proved she had the potential to be a Jedi. There was some wariness about the fact of how powerful she was and how her past meant that she potentially would have more of a temptation to fall if she was trained. However, reason won out in that falling would be her choice, not the result of her past and so she was offered a position and training in the temple, if she wanted. And she didn't hesitate to agree.
She moved to live in the temple of Ach-To and dived headfirst into her lessons, quickly picking up how to use the Force even if she struggled with how to wield a lightsaber. Clighal took notice and decided to see if she perhaps had the aptitude for healing, and Percy took to it like a swan to water. Soon enough, Clighal became the main master she studied under, learning more about the healing arts when not heading into the archives to read more about various different ways the Force could be used. As time went on, she had herself become more and more the proper Jedi, seeking to be a suitable Jedi in the field and make sure that everyone that saw her saw her as a Jedi, not their wet dream. She knows as long as she's a Jedi, she's safe from people even trying to do anything to her while she's free to save others that were like her once. She can only hope, now that she's been fully certified to go out onto the field, that she doesn't screw this up.
Name: Alastrina Rogers Nickname: Alice Species: Human Age: 21 Appearance: A muscly, average-sized redhead with tanned white skin, green eyes on an diamond face, and freckles on her cheeks and on other parts of her skin. Her eyes often shine with good humor, enjoyment, and kindness, hardening into resolve when she needs to be serious. Often wears a red and white tunic and brown pants with a belt. Faction: Alliance Ranger Equipment: Blaster, Medpack, Commlink, Vibroblade Knife Skills: Sharpshooting: Her parents made sure she could handle a blaster, teaching her any chance they got. From those lessons, she became quite skilled. Isn't the best shot of the galaxy, but generally hits what she's aiming at. Wilderness Survival: She knows how to handle herself if she should ever crash land anywhere. Another thing her parents taught, but also supplemented by time with the cousins on their world. First Aid: Knows her way around a first aid kit and what to do for common injuries. Doesn't extend past that. Piloting: A skill that was essential for her to learn, and one she took to like a duck to water. Has a very acrobatic flying style when joyriding. Singing: Something she picked up on her own. Often, she hums or lowly sings as she works, and really enjoys karaoke. At least is very pleasant sounding. Story-writing: Her main hobby, she always has enjoyed the process of imagining stories in her head. It's just writing them down that's hard. Minor Force Proficiency: Has some latent Force sensitivity, at the moment only a very weak, sporadic sense of premonition that helps her have heightened reflexes. Does not realize at all that she has powers.
Weaknesses:
Naïve: Not utterly so, but enough that it will take prompting or something seriously wrong for her to question if a person genuinely seems in need, meaning that she will have go to someone crying out for help even if it most likely is a trap. Not helped by her youth and idealist nature.
Impulsive: Often goes with her gut and heart on things without caring much for practical considerations. In a way, its helped her end up in the Alliance Rangers, but it also means that she does clash with more level-headed members more often than not.
Socially Awkward: While friendly and outgoing, she is just not good at small talk. Or many casual social scenes. She's either too quiet or too unintentionally abrasive, especially if someone gets her into talking about one of her favorite subjects, after which she'll talk for hours if not stopped. She's simply not good at reading social cues, or a room. Meaning, if she's ever the one in charge of a diplomatic meeting, everyone's in trouble.
History: Born on the planet of Karlinus, Alice would always consider that outer rim planet home. It helped that it was often a stopping point for her shipper parents as they hauled goods across the galaxy. It was the place where her mother grew up and her family still had a farm where all but she had stayed. Alice would run around with the cousins any time they dropped by and always had fond memories of that farm. But her heart was always among the stars.
Whatever she ended up doing in life, she knew it would have to do with traveling throughout the galaxy. She wasn't quite sure about being a trader though. While traveling from place to place was great, the business itself could get dull, especially since her parents were very careful with who and where she needed up any time they were on planet. They about swore off Tatooine entirely after an incident where Alice had wandered off and some drunk dug tried to grab her to settle a gambling debt. All of them breathed a sigh of relief that they could get there in time and Alastrina had at least had the sense to yell and try to get away when he'd tried to reach for her. From that point on, her blaster lessons were held repeatably, with a vengeance. And they took more care in preparing her for life on her own, doing their best to point out obvious dangers and warn her about how evil the world could be. Alice listened and tried to keep the words in mind, but she also couldn't help but wonder why there didn't seem to be anyone trying to stop evil people from doing what they did.
As she grew up and the New Republic came into its own, she started to hear about an answer. Stories spread about the heroism of the former Rebellion and of the deeds of the new Alliance Rangers and Jedi Order, groups of people that travelled throughout the galaxy to help those in need and take down anyone that threatened peace and justice. From the first time she heard about them, her attention was hooked. She wanted to know everything there was about them. The more she heard, the more she wanted to be one of them. To do her own part to be a hero, help others, and travel among the stars. She considered trying to join the Jedi, but she figured that since she wasn't throwing rocks with her mind, she probably wasn't Jedi material. So she focused her attention on the Rangers. She sent in an application, that was at first rejected since she was young and inexperienced. She was put off, but then she persisted until she finally joined as its newest rookie. Her parents saw her off, with many tearful hugs and goodbyes. But Alice wasn't giving up now. Today, she will finally be a fully-fledged Ranger, given her first assignment.
Edit: And Finished! Looking forward to hearing any critiques or recommendations.
Milky Way - Marauder class corvette, named after a galaxy far far away. Lakras has been in command for 5 years.
Combat armor - A suit of armor designed for shipboard combat - it can dissipate a couple of blaster hits, provides some protection against vacuum and allows for easy movement if the gravity generation fails.
Family blades - A useful bit of family heirloom - While not as versatile as a lightsaber, it can still lop off limbs.
Abilities:
Breath control (15 minutes) - One of the first skills Lakras learned, to aid survival in case of depressurization aboard vessels.
Tapas (15 minutes) - Complementary skill to the breath control, allowing Lakras to survive longer in case of a heating or total power failure aboard a vessel.
Thought shield (Passive during battle or negotiations) - A skill Lakras thought necessary in case she ever met someone like herself.
Battle meditation (1 minute) - Lakras hopes to improve in this skill to provide protection agianst force abilities to her crew, and to debilitate the enemy.
Force barrier (15 minutes) [Required to learn: Jedi assistance] - Final skill Lakras learned to survive hardships she could face in space.
Force fear (concentration) [Required to learn: fighting against superior enemies] - A skill Lakras picked up with an intention of getting more proficient in it. Currently doubling with the Memory walk in effect, but she hopes to be able to expand her influence to groups of people or an area of effect. Lakras also requires time to find the target or focus in on the area.
Force Horror (Room, subsection of a ship) [Required to learn: Significant loss of crew or the ship] - Force horror enabled the Force user to cause multiple enemies to enter into a catatonic state of panic that was more severe and more difficult to defend than the basic Force fear.
Force insanity (Building, ship) [Required to learn: Sith holocron] - Force insanity also enabled the Force user to affect multiple enemies at once, although to an even greater range than its predecessor. As the most advanced form of Force fear, its effect was much more devastating, with the victims possibly descending into an utter state of frenzied madness and deranged mania as their situation seemed to suddenly become hopeless.
Instinctive astrogation (Passive) [Requred to learn: 1 more year of warship command service] - A useful skill for any spacer.
Drain Knowledge [Required to learn: Descent into darkness, abandoning of personal ethics] - The best way to win is to know what the enemy plans.
Skills:
Agile - It's hard to knock Lakras off of her feet, and she can move around in microgravity in ways that force users could envy.
Perceptive - If there is a flaw in the enemy's defense, Lakras has a good chance of seeing it.
Survivalist - War taught the captain how to survive off of the land.
Hustler - In a game of pool or cards, you are likely to lose some money against her.
Personality:
I'm haunted by memories of war. I can't get the images of violence out of my mind.
I can stare down a hell hound without flinching.
I approach every task with the same high degree of military precision.
I tells the truth, keeps my word, helps those in need, and speak out against injustice.
Ideals:
Protection. It isn't right for innocents to suffer because of the arrogance of the powerful. (Good)
Conviction. Anything worth doing is worth doing with your whole heart. (Lawful)
Bravery. To act when others quake in fear- this is the essence of the warrior. (Any)
Perseverance. No injury or obstacle can turn me from my goal. (Any)
Bonds:
I fight for those who cannot fight for themselves.
I would still lay down my life for the people I served with.
I. Will. Finish. The. Job.
Flaws:
I'm slow to trust people outside of the military.
I hold grudges and have difficulty forgiving others.
I sometimes stay up all night talking to the ghosts of my fallen friends.
I have little respect for anyone who is not a proven warrior - whether on the field of battle or in politics.
History: Larkas has been a child of five when Palpatine and Vader were defeated, and while she doesn't remember all that much from her youth, the memories she has are what drives her life, both the horrors the Empire committed, and the defiance of the Zabrak people.
She has joined the New Republic military to help uphold it's values, inspired by chancellor Organa, only for her hero to lose her seat a year later. More nightmare fuel was poured on her fire during the Daala crysis, and it was during this time Larkas found out she was force sensitive. She found out the hard way, by being stranded on a ship with failing power and life suppoort.
It was an almost instinctive survival reaction rather than a conscious effort, and it took her several days to recognize it for what it was. Since then Lakras has spent time experimenting and training her connection to the force. Using the memories that haunted her, she developed a skill to draw similar memories out in other people, and by turning that skill on herself, she learned how to defend against it.
The captain turned down the chance to join the Jedi order, preferring to discover the Force on her own, wherever it may lead her. She has also earned her own command during this time.
Larkas started volunteering her ship and crew for missions requested by the new Rangers or the Jedi order. In fact, she worked with the rangers so often she may as well be considered part of them, missing only the official transfer paperwork.
Ready for review, methinks. I did only see the two original trilogies, a bunch of youtube and ready a lot of wiki, so do point out anything out of order :)
Battle Precognition: Ever since he was a boy, Dante had an innate feel on how certain actions would play out. While not always having the ability to properly react, Dante's natural use of this ability made him quite the fighter growing up, giving him an uncanny advantage to see his opponent's moves just as they were about to make them. As this ability evolved as he grew older, Dante managed to incorporate this ability into his piloting, making him an ace starfighter pilot.
Telekinesis: Whether it's pushing objects away or pulling them towards him, Dante is capable of using the force to manipulate sizable objects though Dante's finesse with these abilities needs work as without proper focus, Dante either uses too much strength or too little of it.
Physical enhancements: Whether it's using the force to increase his speed or strength, Dante can channel the force to push his body beyond his normal limits. While extremely tiring and only capable of using it bursts, Dante often uses it as a last resort to hopefully defeat a powerful enemy.
Lightsaber wielding: While Dante considers himself a slightly flawed but talented force user, it's his ability with the lightsaber that he prides himself as his best trait. As a dedicated user of the lightsaber form: Ataru, Dante uses his natural athleticism and natural feel for fighting to blitz his enemies with speed and precision.
Skills: Skilled pilot: While Dante admittingly is a poor mechanic, Dante is a natural pilot having learned the basics from criminals in Couracant's lower levels to some of the top pilots in the New Republic after joining the Jedi Order. While Dante can't tell you any sort of special hyperspace route or even how to teach someone to properly pilot a starfighter...put Dante in a starfighter battle situation and watch as his natural instincts take over as he analyzes his opponent's movements and maneuvers himself into winning situations.
Weaknesses:
Bold: While confidence has plagued young Jedi throughout history, Dante is no exception. While Dante works to properly manage his emotions better, Dante has incredible trust in himself to succeed and will often do things because he truly believes he's capable of pulling off certain feats even when the odds are stack against him. So far however it's this confidence that got Dante this far in life so surely it can't be too bad?
Competitive: Even as a child, Dante had to win. It's hard to tell if he hates losing or maybe the thrill of winning is just too alluring. While being competitive has meant Dante is dedicated to his craft and constantly always trying to hone his abilities, it also means he'll subconsciously try to out-preform his friends and comrades and also preform reckless actions if it means succeeding.
Dislikes politics: While Dante hopes to grow to be a Jedi Master one day, Dante has much to learn when it comes to playing the politics game. Dante distrusts most senators and other higher level figures of authority and feels most in common with the regular soldier or other Jedi.
Terrible liar: It's a little thing but despite his rocky childhood, Dante has never been able to lie properly. While telling the truth is usually a good thing, it also means he's not good at keeping his mouth shut when he disagrees with something.
History:
Dante doesn't like talking about his childhood much even though it molded him to be the person he is today. Like many of the downtrodden in Coruscant's crime ridden lower levels, Dante was an orphan who found himself forced to rely on various criminals to help survive. While not much of a thief or a liar, Dante learned quickly he had a talent for fighting mostly due to his ability to read his opponents movements despite not understanding how. First it was prize fighting street fights against other local kids from rival gangs to eventually high speed illegal speeder races. This continued for some time until his early teenage ears when Dante was arrested by New Republic forces who were attempting to crack down on the crime ridden areas.
In his brief captivity, one of the officers recognized Dante's peculiar abilities and notified a member of the Jedi Order who quickly took interest in the force sensitive child. In exchange for his freedom, Dante was sent to Ahch-To and learned the ways of the Jedi. Dante while not exactly the model student, displayed incredible natural talent and with some reluctance was given a proper Jedi master to watch over him. Rewarding the trust placed in him, inspired by Luke Skywalker and seeking to redeem himself from his past actions, Dante and his master traveled throughout the galaxy to help those in need, particularly those affected by criminal gangs.
Before long Dante was made a Jedi Knight and while he did not officially have a Jedi Master at his side, Dante continued his work in combating criminal gangs such as dealings with the Hutt Cartels. In one particular mission Dante reunited with the same New Republic officer who had initially arrested Dante as a child and under his guidance earned trust and companionship among the Alliance Rangers. After numerous successful collaborations, Dante was given a new T-85 X-Wing, the latest X-Wing model available in the New Republic. Despite the galaxy remaining in turmoil, Dante remains optimistic in his role and does what he can, where ever he can.
@Forsythe my issue is with how much she knows in terms of Force Capabilities, without any training or hint of training when it's a stronger skill-set. I'll hit you up in a PM about something separate.
I accept said characters. In terms of the Rangers force sensitivity that's completely up to you, let me know here or in a PM what you'd rather do.
If you're accepted feel free to move your character across. I'm hoping (fingers crossed) to have my Jedi done tomorrow night but we'll see how work goes I guess!
Making a Weequay mercenary/bounty Hunter, will bang out the sheet monday/Tuesday. Thinking a force user for my second character, will do that after I’ve finished and posted my Weequay.
I might toss in a second character if there is more of them in another faction, but perhaps after we start - will see how much posting time I will have.
