"You'll want to send her a female Indeedee," Shiranui suggested, putting his healed Pokémon away.

"Yeah, hopefully I'll find a female one," Liam said. "So, are we ready to get a Galar Badge?"

"I'm ready," answered Shiranui after making a brief adjustment to his party.

“I am ready,” Jen said as she arrange some of her items around as Aura is ready to go.

"I'm ready!" Chuck said, Bond on his shoulder.

With that, the heroes made thier way to the Turfiled Gym. A man at the front desk asked them to sign in and thanked them for coming dressed in the jerseies. He then asked who wanted to face Milo first.

"You guys should go first, I've already done the gym challenge after all so I can just walk stright onto the pitch when needed" Selina said with a smile, already changed into her outfit which seemed to have a strong twilight theme mixed into it.

Liam went first. Milo stood center field in a stadium with a big smile.
"My Gym’s the first one people face, so we get a lot of challengers. I've heard about you from Leon. Sure seems like you understand Pokémon real well. This is gonna be a doozy of a battle! I’ll have to Dynamax my Pokémon if I want to win!" The jumbotron lit up and showed Milo and Liam on it with two circles, both of which were currently blank. Milo then informed Liam they would both get to use two Pokémon, and sent out his first one, Gossifleur.

"Gossifleur, the Flowering Pokémon, A Grass-type. It anchors itself in the ground with its single leg, then basks in the sun. After absorbing enough sunlight, its petals spread as it blooms brilliantly. It whirls around in the wind while singing a joyous song. This delightful display has charmed many into raising this Pokémon."

"OK, Go! Rookidee!" Liam declared sending out the shiny Pokémon.
"Use Peck," Liam declared. The yellow bird dive-bombed toward the Grass-type. and began pecking at it.
"Use Sing," Milo said. Gossifleur began singing a song and Rookidee crashed to the floor asleep.
Liam chuckled as he began rummaging through his bag while keeping his eyes on the battlefield, pulling out the pokéflute he was given once upon a time by Mr. Fuji in Lavender Town. Liam played a familiar tune on the flute on Rookidee woke up.

"Sweet Scent!" Gossifleur unleashed a pleasant aroma to lower Rookidee's evasiveness.
"Hone Claws!" Liam ordered. Rookidee sharpened his talons, upping his attack and accuracy.
"Rapid Spin," Milo called. His Pokémon spun into Rookidee it scored a direct hit on Rookidee, who was knocked back down to the ground.
"Use Pluck!" Liam called. Rookidee became airborne again and rocketed toward its opponent, scoring a direct hit and getting a KO

"Gissifleur is unable to battle, Rookidee wins!" called the Rotom Ref. The small in stadium crowed cheered as Milo recalled Gossifleur, prasing it for the good work.

Woohoo! We’re not going to be done in that easy! We’re tough as weeds! Go, Eldegloss!"

a small green pokémon with what seemed to be a huge ball of cotton on its head emerged.

"Eldegoss, the Cotton Bloom Pokémon a Grass-Type, and the evolved form of Gossifleur. The seeds attached to its cotton fluff are full of nutrients. It spreads them on the wind so that plants and other Pokémon can benefit from them. The cotton on the head of this Pokémon can be spun into a glossy, gorgeous yarn—a Galar regional specialty."

"Want to keep going Rookidee?" Liam asked.
"Rook!" The bird chirped happily.
"Alright, we'll keep going."

Milo smirked. "Come on, then! It’s Dynamax time! You’re about to be uprooted!" He recalled Eldergoss to its ball and activated his Dynamax band. The ball grew several times larger and Milo tossed it, revealing that the Pokémon had grown many times bigger.
"This’ll really leave you in shock and awe. It’s our Dynamax move!" Milo then instructed his Pokémon to use Max Overgrowth. The attack, despite being not very effective KO'd Rookidee tieing it up.
"OK Beckham, it's up to you!" Liam declared. Beckham, who had been standing on the sidelines, wanting to see the stadium for himself ran out to take his position.

Liam Dynamaxed Beckham. Milo called for Max Overgrowth again and Liam called for Max Flare. Beckham set fire to the grass that had grown in from the grass move, Beckham landed a critical hit and KO'd Eldegoss. Beckham returned to his normal size and began to glow white after taking a victory pose.

"Raboot, the Rabbit Pokémon. A Fire-type and the evolved form of Scorbunny. Its thick and fluffy fur protects it from the cold and enables it to use hotter fire moves. It kicks berries right off the branches of trees and then juggles them with its feet, practicing its footwork."

Liam ran over and hugged Beckham in delight for its evolution.

Liam turned his attention back to Milo to thank him for the battle and shake his hand.
"The power of Grass has wilted... What an incredible Gym Challenger! That must have been a fulfilling Pokémon battle for you!" As proof that you have defeated a Gym Leader for the Gym Challenge, allow me to present you with your very own Grass Badge! You need to obtain all eight Gym Badges in order to complete the Gym Challenge. And the only way to gather the Badges is to defeat every Gym Leader!
"Some advice for you, Johto Champion, Coleman. The Gym Challenge has a set order you’ll need to follow. So that means your next stop should be in Hulbury to meet Nessa. Hulbury’s just beyond Route 5."

Liam thanked Milo and received the Grass Badge. Milo used a healing machine to restore his and Liam's Pokémon and came back to fight the next challenger.

"Our next challenger for today is a regional champion like our previous challenger," Milo introduced, "Put your hands together for Shiranui Tsukiko!" Amidst the applause, some of the audience were startled when a burst of smoke issued from the challenger's end of the field, revealing Shiranui in a ninja pose. "I can see why Allister of all people invited you, challenger," Milo continued, "Time to see if your flair for the dramatic translates to our next battle. Go Gossifleur!" Milo sent out his Gossifleur and Shiranui responded with his Woobat. "Gossifleur, Sing!"
"Kokoro, Acrobatics!" The Woobat swooped at Gossifleur and struck Gossifleur with her nose, leaving the flower knocked out with one heart-shaped hit.
"Gossifleur is unable to battle. Woobat wins!" the Rotom Drone called.

Kokoro fluttered about in joy until she let off a glow of bright white light. Shiranui scanned Kokoro's new form with his Pokédex app. "Swoobat, the Courting Pokémon. A Psychic and Flying type and the evolved form of Woobat. The auspicious shape of this Pokémon's nose apparently led some regions to consider Swoobat a symbol of good luck."

Milo sent out his next Pokémon Eldegoss. "Eldegoss, it's Dynamax time! You’re about to be uprooted!" He recalled Eldergoss to its ball and activated his Dynamax band. The ball grew several times larger and Milo tossed it, revealing that the Pokémon had grown many times bigger. "This’ll really leave you in shock and awe. It’s our Dynamax move! Max Overgrowth!"
"Kokoro, use Fly!" Kokoro quickly increased altitude before Eldegoss unleashed its Dynamax move. Eldegoss' attack missed, but the battlefield grew into a Grassy Terrain.
"Eldegoss, Max Strike!" Kokoro dived at the giant Eldegoss and scored a direct hit that Eldegoss survived. Eldegoss struck Kokoro for a heavy blow that lowered the Swoobat's Speed. "Eldegoss, Max Overgrowth!"
"Kokoro, Acrobatics!" Kokoro did an aileron roll before swooping at Eldegoss and delivering a hit that caused Eldegoss to revert to normal size and faint.

"Eldegoss is unable to battle. The winner of this battle is Shiranui Tsukiko!" the Rotom Drone ruled.

“Our next challenger for today is a challenger who chases and fight for dreams to come true. I introduce Jen Lkaika,” Milo said as Jen anoal and Eldcd Aura walks out and does a cute pose. “Go Glossifluer,” Milo said . “I choose you Coal and use FireSpin,” Men said as Carmel came out of her Ultra ball and summons a fire vortex. Glossiflear took a critically hit and pass out from it burns. Milo recalls Glossifleur back and sends out Eldegoss, “it time to Dynamax.”

Jen is thinking the same thing and activate her Dtnamax ring as Jen and Milo recalled their Pokémon as both their pokeballs grow in size. Jen and Milo real seanc Eldegnd atheir Pokémon back onto the battle field. “Max Struke,” Milo said.”Max Steel Spike,” Jen said as Coal and Eldegoss strike at the both knock each other out. “Eldegoss is unable to battle and Milo has no more Pokémon to battle with, Jen Lkaika is the winner,” Milo said as Jen hears cheering and clapping as she recall coal into her Ultra ballll.

“Congrats on winning the match,” Milo said as he recalls his Eldegoss. He walks over to Jen to hand her the Grass badge. “ you need to earn all eight badges through other gym leaders challanges. Your next gym challenge is in Hulbury to meet Nessa.p Milo said as he restore his Pokémon to full health. Jen thanked him for the badge as Milo is ready for his next challenger.

Chuck was up next, picking his two Pokemon for the battle. As he stepped up, the announcer called out "And next we have yet another regional Champion, the newest Champion of Alola, Chuck North!" He cracked his knuckles and said "Let's do this Frosty!" sending out his Galarian Darumaka, while Milo sent out Gossifleur. "So, you're Melony's nephew, huh? If you think your type advantage is going to give me trouble, think again!"

Frosty was the first to go, charging forward and strking the Pokemon with it's right fist, covered in ice, an Ice Punch, scoring a solid hit and getting a cheer from the crowd. It was knocked back, but instead of attacking, used Sunny Day, causing intense sunlight to shine in the stadium. "Good strategy, probably planning on using Solarbeam to take him out then. However, I planned for that possibility." Chuck said, smirking. "Frosty, switch it up and use Fire Punch!" The Darumaka lept forward and struck Gossifleur with it's left fist this time, coated in fire, dealing even more damage thanks to the Sunny Day, and knocking out the Gossifleur. Milo recalled it and sent out Eldegoss.

"It was smart of you to use my own move to your advantage, however your Darumaka is done here. Solarbeam!" Milo said, as Eldegoss absorbed the intense sunlight and fired a massive beam at Darumaka, knocking him out. Chuck recalled him and sent out Nessie, his Lapras.

"Alright Nessie, let's make sure he can't do that again! Rain Dance!" Chuck said, as Lapras swayed around a bit, causing the sun to be replaced by rain.

"Good strategy, but how will you fare with this? Dynamax!" Milo said, dynamaxing his Pokemon. "Max Overgrowth!" The giant Eldegoss unleashed a massive attack, causing a lot of damage to the Lapras, but she hung on. "We can Dynamax too! Let's go Nessie!" However, instead of Dynamaxing like Eldegoss did, Nessie actually Gigantimaxed, changing form as it increased in size. Chuck checked his Pokedex and smirked. "Looks like I've got just the move for you! Nessie, G-Max Resonance!" Chuck called out. Nessie roared, shaking the entire stadium, as giant boulders of hail fell from the sky and struck the Dynamaxed Eldegoss, who erupted in an explosion as it fainted and returned to normal size. "Well, you beat me fair and square, as expected from Melony's nephew, and the Champion of Alola." Milo said, walking over to Chuck and Nessie, as she shrunk back down to normal size. "You've earned your badge, congradulations!"

Serina cheered on each of her friends as they took on Milo and won, once Chuck battle was done, she took her spot with a smile. "In shocking news, Galar fans, we have a favourite returning after a 10 year absence, called the greatest rival ever and one of the most powerful warriors of Galar by Champion Leon himself, The Twilight Ninja Princess Selina Gosler" The announcer yelled causing the stadium to erupt into loud cheers as Selina ran onto the field, her outfit a mixture of gold and black along with a Delphox mask in the same colours to complete the look.

"Well well, It's good to see you again Selina" Milo said as Selina walked up to him to shake his hand, "Its been a while Milo, I look forward to seeing how much more powerful you become, I left the rules up to you" Selina said to him with a smile. In the stands, Zerina, Gileta and Valkyrie were all dressed in similar outfits to Serina, shaking their pom poms with the beat of the crowds cheers.

Milo nodded and said "2 v 2 battle like your friends, but of course, running one special member just for you and all at much higher levels for fairness" Selina nodded as they took their spot. Milo sent out Ludicolo first as Selina sent out her Centiskorch, Ludicolo would be super effective but Selina was aware of this and ready, the two pokemon immediately clashed with Centiskorch trying to burn Ludicolo who kept dodging by dancing away, and then trying to counter with waterfall which Centiskorch was avoiding.

Eventally both pokemon ended up in a corner, with both panting, before once more attacking each other ending up K.O each other. "Not the greatest start to my return, but I did want to do this without my super mons" Selina though to herself as she returned Centiskorch but sent out her Duraludon as Milo sent out Flapple.

This time, both of them were going to do this with a bang as Serina G-maxed Duraludon and Milo did the same for Flapple as the two giant G-maxed pokemon clashed before Duraludon came out on top on their last g-maxed turn netting Serina the win, which made her very happy.

After the battles, Liam was checking info on his Rotom phone, "So, looks like Hulberry is the next gym, and it's a water-type gym," Liam said. "I wonder if I can locate some grass or electric-types on the way."

Shiranui checked his phone on Route 5 and found some information on the local wildlife. "Lombre, Nuzleaf and Applin are among the most commonly found Grass-type Pokémon on Route 5 while Electric types are rare," Shiranui stated, "I've heard rumours of people catching Eldegoss near the stone bridge."

"Applin?" Liam inquired pushing some buttons on his phone.

"Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon. A Grass and Dragon-Type. It spends its entire life inside an apple. It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending it's just an apple and nothing more. As soon as it's born, it burrows into an apple. Not only does the apple serve as its food source, but the flavor of the fruit determines its evolution."
"Neat," Liam said. "I might have to look for one on Route 5."

Jen is excited about the next battle as she has Akamu Groot the Grookey and Bolt the Yamper.

"Applin?" Liam inquired pushing some buttons on his phone.

"Applin, the Apple Core Pokémon. A Grass and Dragon-Type. It spends its entire life inside an apple. It hides from its natural enemies, bird Pokémon, by pretending it's just an apple and nothing more. As soon as it's born, it burrows into an apple. Not only does the apple serve as its food source, but the flavor of the fruit determines its evolution."

The apple's flavour determines what it'll evolve into and we've seen Milo use one of its evolved forms against Selina."

"Am I really that obvious?" Liam inquired.

“It is a dragon type Pokémon then yes,” Jen said as she smiles.

"Painfully so Liam." Chuck said, with a chuckle, after healing his team. "So, are we heading out now then?"

Shiranui got back his healed Pokémon. "I'm ready to head out," he answered.
