@Lurking Krog I do have an idea for a simple backstory.

Foxfire was abandoned on the streets as a child, and she had to steal in order to survive. After 9 years on streets, she was finally caught by the guards. Before they could imprison her, a passing monk convinces the guards to release the child into the monk's care. The monk brought Foxfire to their monastery in the cold, northern mountains. There, the monk trained Foxfire in the monastic arts to this day. Foxfire now works for the monastery in return for the monk's kindness.
