Name: Allen Forscythe
Hero Name: Hmmm... 'Electric Pokemon'? Naaah. He's actually having trouble coming up with one. Best idea he's had so far is 'Discord', and he hates it.
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Family: The Mad Baron (Father), Angela Forscythe (Mother), Daryl Forcen (Uncle)
Occupation: Computer Tech Support, Local College
Appearance:
He stands a little under six-foot in height, not a terribly athletic or strong build, but he's at least physically fit. He could run a good clip and do an honest day's work, but don't expect any miracles without consequences. No particular scars or tattoos or marks that would single him out. He seems fairly normal by looks, although you'd have to throw 'handsome' in there, somewhere. Allen has a decent face with sharp eyes and a strong chin. He's Caucasian, and his eyes are dark brown with his styled-back hair is a lighter shade of brown. He actually looks like a show-off, but it's more in his nature to be low-key.
Allen's preferred attire is that of a pair of jeans (classic blue, gray, or black), a normal everyday shirt (collared or not) of any color that doesn't stand out too much or a funny t-shirt if he's feeling like he doesn't need to blend in (or perhaps if looking outlandish would actually help the situation). Complementing this, he has a nice dark longcoat that reaches his knees that is leather, reinforced, and has quite a few pockets for just having handy stuff around. His shoes are usually just ordinary sneakers, often brand-new because his power may've destroyed the old ones.
Apart from that, the only other things of note is that sometimes Allen needs reading glasses, he also has a campus employee uniform, and no super suit at this time. (This part is subject to change.)
Personality:
Allen Forscythe is a decently nice guy who speaks with a smooth Pierce Brosnan-like accent. He generally tries to maintain a certain calm about his person, largely twofold in reasoning. The first is that he knows that a panic never solves anything...unless a panic is exactly what diverts somebody from catching onto you. And before you ask, this is not because he's inherently a dishonest guy. Quite the opposite, in fact. His moral fiber is rather strong...as he is trying to distance himself from his father, a man whose real name is known only by few, but everybody else calls him The Mad Baron, or the Lord of Maniacs, or any number other titles. We'll get to that part later, but suffice it to say, Allen is often paranoids that he is being watched, followed, and that something will lash out at him if he's not careful.
It was always a problem in the first place, knowing that severe tragedies and calamities were caused by a man who plays by randomosity as a rule, who sees every person as an opportunity and every opportunity to create disaster 'Anytime, Anywhere, without warning'. It drives a young man to live in fear, even after the witness protection program. So, while Allen belies a calm exterior, inside...he's a worrier. Not to the point of indecision. It's more like he knows that he's going to have to do something he's not gonna like, and by god it'd better turn out good! Still, this continuous 'Waiting for the other shoe to drop' mentality is largely on the backburner, causing him to sympathize with those who are in dire straits, are haunted by stuff, or just have general regrets. He tries to help out, and keep on keeping on.
Superpower: Catastrophe
This is a power that affects the physical world around Allen in a rather chaotic manner. It initiates by touch, and this can react with air as much as solids or liquids, probably even energy, given its function. You see, on the molecular level (or maybe even below that), Allen can send a charge through anything he's coming in contact with. This charge excites the all the atoms and particles around him as they're given an energy they basically can't handle, so they go wild. The most-common effect of this is that something solid may explode, or the air may ignite in his vicinity. It can effectively radiate out from his body, and does not destroy any part of his body in the process, but unfortunately he had to work really hard not to destroy his clothes after a few uhhh...wardrobe malfunctions.
This power is essentially some sort of Ergokinesis that starts from his body and works out. It's definitely a manipulation of forces which can continue further on from his body, as during his attempts not to destroy everything he touches with his skin, Allen discovered that his frustration or heavy emotions can cause a cascade effect. It has taken him time and effort not to be a walking hazard who can't even keep clothing on himself, and as of now has severely hampered himself by making sure that ANY inkling of power comes from him will be from his hands or feet. The point is that this energy can overcharge molecular structure at will, and can potentially be SHAPED charges made to alter the terrain or the air or whatever's around him, but it's REALLY difficult to control and anything that he DOES change will probably look like magma's running through it from all the heat friction.
Skills:
Tech Support - Allen went to college to complete his education, become an expert at computer software and hardware, and raise money for himself and his mother.
Chemistry - His uncle is a highly-skilled chemist with a romantic notion of being an Alchemist. Due to his influence on Allen's life, Allen has a minor in the area along with the physical sciences.
I Know How You Feel - People under pressure tend to feel better after talking with Allen because he's been there before and he genuinely tries to help other people with a sympathetic ear and a calming demeanor.
Equipment:
Wallet, keys, cellphone, pen, notepad, bluetooth earphones, and other extremely common items.

Biography:
It all started with a fire.
At the age of ten, Daryl Forcen watched his house burn down, standing alongside his parents, with no sign of his brother. They knew for sure that he had done it, though, because the two of them had had a particularly nasty row, and the exchange made the older brother go into an astonishing (and concerning) sort of quiet. He should've looked into that, found out what he was thinking. If he'd know that he was going to go and resort to this... The only indicator of what the other boy would do now was a message written with kerosine about how things could happen anytime and anywhere. Daryl blamed himself, but there was nothing he could do at the age of ten and certainly not much more as his life went on, and his brother - or at least, what he was fairly certain had been his brother - became a part of the criminal underground, expounding a philosophy of no control and playing to no rule or authority. It made him quite notorious, as that man soon took on this faux aristocratic edge out here in the UK. He began to be known as The Mad Baron, when he remembered to call himself any name at all. No records of the man's identity existed anymore. He burnt down any establishment that could attach him to a name, and those he did for fun. When he got nasty, then things got pretty terrible for people in general.
The Baron was heavily secretive and had a habit of laying many traps or using people who were clinically insane (and disposable) as henchmen. In a world of superheroes, he was the unpowered mastermind who used madness as his calling card. Before the virus, there was even a nemesis who kept him in check, The Dapper Dwarf, but alas...that man is no more, these days. That's a moment in the present, though. We're still in the past. This man runs a criminal organization by the seat of his pants, and thus he sometimes goes through quite a few people. But sometimes, you get a few very skilled people on your side. The Baron kept his numbers up sometimes by taking people and 'reprogramming' them. That is, he would break their wills with severe methods of persuasion that ended up loosening the mind. One henchwoman in particular had been a normal person once, but then she got Stockholm Syndrome and served his needs as the organization's 'cleaner', the one who goes out and disposes of people who are loose ends, eliminates evidence, etc. This woman had another name at the time. Later on, she would come to be known as Angela Forscythe.
The soon-to-be Angela had taken it upon herself to actually start a relationship with the Baron, and as a result would conceive a child. When this news reached her, a small part of her mind - way in the back - said "LEAVE!". It took some time for that voice to be heard, but with every act she witnessed...or indeed committed...she heard it, again and again. Eventually, she chose her mind to vanish and turn herself over to the police. She was a wreck kept in check by hallucinagenics and manipulation, not at all herself, so her confession would absolve her of the crimes, provided she went into rehabilitation. It was a difficult process, but she would do it...for her son. With this going on, police and every hero authority at the time attempted to use the information given to try and capture the Baron, but to no avail. He packed in his finest assets, let his lower flunkies take the fall, and disappeared.
Time passed, and the boy that was to be Allen grew, usually being doted on by or helping out his mother. She was recovering herself, but it was a difficult process. His uncle helped out, but years later - and as certain disturbing murmurs began to circulate in the criminal underground that the Baron was re-establishing himself - his mother had a bad moment where she was overjoyed to be hearing from his father. It was a Stockholm relapse, and a terrible omen. He was coming to get them... Going immediately to his uncle's place, he begged the man to help him hide, and Daryl helped him...by working with the authorities to put him and his mother through a witness protection program. The newly-christened Angela Forscythe needed more therapy, and the young Allen Forscythe was going to college, to a place called Lafayette City to study abroad.
You have to understand how stressful a thing this can be, but once Allen was out of the country, he felt alot better. He wasn't too pleased by the fact that his father had not been caught. (The man sent after Allen and his mother was a man dressed convincingly as the Baron as a decoy.) Still, he had to get on with his life despite this, or it would never get anywhere at all... The day the superheroes started dying, though, made him especially wary. There were men like the Mad Baron all throughout the world, or at the very least saner ones. With all supers dying out, the world would become strangely less interesting, but potentially more dangerous. The reins were completely off now. Allen suspected that his father actually planned this, but there was no proof of that. Still, none of this compared to the day of the meteor.
It was all over the news, of course. You all saw it. Half the world saw it. Apart from the Superdeath, it had to be the most shocking thing to occur lately, in this region or ANY region. Allen saw it, and somehow it just put him on edge. Maybe he was being paranoid, but he thought that perhaps HE would wanna look into it. Whether that happened or not, he didn't know, but life decided that it was going to throw him another curveball, as - on his day off, thank god - one morning, without warning, Allen's clothing exploded. Yes, it came as quite a shock to him too! It was this sudden burst of a semi-transparent energy that caused every clothing he wore to rip, tear, and burn up violently, as well as the air to whip around, and part of the carpet to catch fire. He almost went into a panic, right then, as he felt some kind of energy surging around inside of him that seemed to spare no molecule - air or otherwise - on its way to overcharging things!
He didn't solve this in a day. He had to call off alot of days and make a half dozen excuses while he tried to get a handle on this thing. He had to get it to STOP and STAY STOPPED, or else he'd never be able to get anything done, let alone walk outside. It cost him a fair amount of wardrobe, two rugs, half his utensils, and a few other odds and ends until he finally got himself to stop destroying everything around him at random. He had found - for all intents and purposes - the mental Off Button. He didn't even know that anything like this was happening to anybody else. It was just one long slew of 'No, don't do that!' just to be able to keep it underwraps, and he was STILL blasting off the odd shoe! Nevertheless, it seemed that he had somehow gained something that probably should've killed him in more ways than one, and that was super powers. But...well...with all that said and done, and knowing that this was a mess to behold by anyone sane or not, NOW WHAT?
Anything Else: Stuff involving Allen's father is optional. He's quite brilliant, and also quite insane.
