Unsuprisingly, the moment the Sneasals eyes locked onto Steph and Dusk its mind immediately went into a panic. After all, last it knew Steph was chasing it down then beating it in a battle and the red head had seemed rather mad at it. Though she couldnt say she had let the matter go entirely, the matter of the fact was that as Freya was now pointing out, it had seemed...reluctant to do so. The fact its partner was so happily ready to abandon it also told a story. They were hardly 'partners' in this at all. If anything, it seemed like the Sneasal had little choice but to follow the thief around. So it wasn't like Steph was forgiving the Sneasal or anything, but she was happy enough to ignore the matter. Best to leave the blame all on the selfish fuckwit who betrayed it.

"Yayh bud, yah deedn't saym ooll too hahppy weeth thaht guy. And sayin haow he trayted yah at the end theah, Oy cahn't blyme yah." Crossing her arms over her chest, she leaned back against a nearby tree and seemed to study the still hurting Sneasal for a moment. "As curious as Oy am t' ask abeow' yah and thaht fuckweets reluytion, t' be honest Oy dawnt knaow if Oy wahnna knaow. thaht lahst interahction tawld me enough. Yah desuhve why bettah thahn anythin thaht graysy sloimebohl could geeve yah and naows yoah chahnce t' do whuytevah yah wahnna do instayd. Just stie eow' of peoples belawngeengs eh?" She couldnt help the light hearted jab at the end, after all she hadn't forgiven the Sneasal for starting the mess. But forgiving and understanding didn't have to go hand in hand.

"spaykin of wheech, whahtcha gawnna do weeth em buysil? at the very layst, he nayds t' gao t' a pokecentah Oy reckawn t' geh' chaecked up. naevah knaow whaht else thaht sheettah diied t' hiiem befoah."

The Pokedex confirmed for her, Kaebe's paralysis was removed. "Excellent work. C'mon back into your ball, Niblet. I'm hunting for a bird, next." She returned the little bitty pokemon to it's ball and holstered it. It would be good to use Scamp, but he wasn't doing so well after his encounter with Kaebe.

Kaebe was busy shaking out his limbs. That paralysis had not been pleasant. When Stella called him to go tracking down a bird, though, he came bounding along. It sounded like it was something fun.

""I saw a dark colored bird while we were running around. A Rookidee. While we look around, we'll get you and Niblet some training in. Then we'll get to a town and get some rest and food and supplies aaaand we'll just have to see what time it is then." She gave her ancient reptile a pat on the head as he plodded next to her. She watched him flex his jaw idly, "you want something to crunch, buddy? We'll have to get you some kinda crunchy snack or toy while we're in town."

" Well of course not. I figured you and another and the boss at most." As with the more people with access meant figuring out the culprit or culprits was made all the more difficult. Shaking his head with a sigh." I don't mean any spot in particular, just if you know it happened anywhere near the fence." He added on in agitation in order to correct the confusion; wanting to discern if the fabric he had indeed belonged to the thief and considering a scream was let out there was a good chance the person had been in a hurry to flee thus resulting in getting snagged.

He folded his arms with a finger tapping against his arm as he listed to Hurley explain that the thievery had been occurring for almost a month now." Hm, then I have another question. Are any of the staff or those with access to this shed a recent hire? Sometime in the past few months?" Tristan inquired as he turned his head to give Hurley a proper observatory look over.

Sage's growl was far louder and more fierce than she ever expected. It certainly caught her off-guard how scary a noise her Eevee sounded, but the surprise vanished in a second with a quick blink. She was going to have to remember he could do that so she didn't betray the shock next time; fighting a more seasoned trainer would pick up on the unexpected aspect and assume she was an amateur. While being underestimated would be an advantage, she dreaded the idea of anyone assuming she didn't know what she was doing.

At least her assumption was correct: this wasn't going to be a quick fight. It was good the Nicket wasn't badly hurt from all Sage's attacks, but it meant there was still risk of Sage getting hit hard too. At least the kid sounded like this was the usual strategy - lower defense and hit it.

"Sage, go in for another Tackle, then use Sand Attack to try to throw off its attack again." While lowering the Nicket's attack ability further first would be helpful, the other pokemon could move faster than Sage if it knew Quick Attack already, which meant another attempt to try to throw it off again was going to be far riskier than the first time. She was better off trying to just beat it instead of trying to lower its defensive or offensive abilities.

Amelia turned her attention back to the adults when they began talking again. It wasn't much of interest until them informing her parents was brought up, at which point the young girl looked a little down.
"That won't help. They'll just call it a kidnapping to try and get around that and get the authorities to return me home, whether I want to or not." She said, her tone causing PHantump to float over and look at her in concern. Amelia managed to fake a smile and gently pat the ghost. "It's okay though... you'll protect me, right?"

"PHAN!" Her partner cried in confirmation, causing Amelia to giggle.

Once she was led out by Evelyn and left to begin her journey, she took a deep breath before turning to face Grand Glory City. She was finally free to do what she wanted, something she wasn't used to. It was kind of overwhelming, to the point of paralyzing. Another factor was that she still wasn't familiar with the city. She had only arrived last night and spent most of that time cloths shopping since she hadn't been able to pack anything other than what her teacher had given her due to how quickly and unexpectedly the trip had been brought up and put into motion. But she knew that unless she took the first step, she would be going nowhere anytime soon.

"Shall we get going Phantump?" She said to her partner.

"TUMP!" The little ghost said, at which point Amelia set out to explore the city.

@Zarkun

Luckily for Murus, the Scyther just swung its blade above its head, narrowly missing and thus reverting the power of Fury Cutter back to its original power. In fact, it kept just bloody missing as Murus kept backing up closer and closer to the webbing behind it. Its slashing grew more frantic and less precise due to its growing frustration, which was evident on its face. Somehow, bloody somehow, it somehow tripped over the Golett. The oversized mantis somehow bowled over and got its back stuck to the damned webbing, leaving it prone for the moment. Any attack against the Scyther the next turn will land automatically.

@Lunarlord34

Basil rubbed his chin as he thought about what to do with the Sneasel. Sure, he could catch it and take it to a Pokemon Center, but he also wanted to give the newest trainer a chance to grow as well. It would be kind of a dick move to also just snatch it from her after all the effort and the narrowly avoided assault charge that went into helping this Sneasel. So that's when he had an idea. He smiled and looked at both the Sneasel and Steph, and said,"Why don't you two work together?"

"Snease?" It said incredulously.

"Well, why not? She's obviously a person that cares about your wellbeing enough to beat a man half to death and being a Pokemon alone in this city certainly isn't easy living, so it makes sense. You both benefit from being around each other and get the chance to explore Evig together. Who knows? Maybe you can help other Pokemon who were in your situation?"

The Sneasel looked like it was seriously considering this. What about Steph?

@CitrusArms

It wouldn't be very hard to actually find one of those bird Pokemon, mainly because there was a flock of these things just standing around pecking at the grass for sustenance. They weren't actually paying Stella or her Pokemon any mind. She was free to plan out any surprise attack, but beware, they are very territorial little bastards that don't back down from a fight.

@samreaper

"I mean, I suppose so. It's very possible that it could've happened, but we also don't have any evidence if that was the case. It was very dark and really, the only thing that I can confirm that it was a man's voice, not that it narrows it down very much. Almost everyone who works here is a man."

"Nah, we haven't a new hire in months. Besides the robberies, everything works like a well-oiled machine."

Still, with that info one could reasonably assume that this did indeed happen around the fencing. Also, the thief, or thieves, seemed to have a very good way of avoiding the cameras and even editing the footage. The timing between last night and the blood stained cloth was just a bit too weird for it to be a coincidence.

There was one question could ask to get a solid confirmation, but that would mean showing his hand a bit to a potential suspect.

@Sanguine Rose

The Sand Attack would not be necessary due to Sage just absolutely decking the Nickit. Again, Adaptability is an absolutely strong ability this early in any game as all that it would take to take down the dark-type was just two attacks. That poor fox was sent skidding along the dirt with no chance of standing back up.

So, uh, Lisa, the little girl she was fighting had tears beginning to well up and just ran off bawling to her older sister, the teenage girl who was watching the matches. The teen just held her loosely and looked at Faye with an apologetic look as if this was not the first time that this was the first time. Again, these were preschoolers that Faye was beating in battle, so this was sort of to be expected.

But let's skip to the next battle!

Her final opponent was a preschool boy. He had a cocky smile and openly declared, "I'm no crybaby! I'm gonna beat you!"

Preschooler Monty wants to battle!

The little boy threw his Pokeball and out in that flash of light came a Wooloo, a very round, fluffy sheep. It's literally just a sheep.

The strategy that the boy was going to use was Defense Curl to buff its defense stat and use Tackle. How does Faye respond to this?

@Joshua Tamashii

So, Amelia decided to explore this sprawling metropolis with her spectral sidekick. One of the things she would notice that in comparison to the musical, yet calm town of Florasong, Grand Glory was bustling. Crowds of people were walking about focusing on their own daily lives while there seemed to be constant construction. These construction sites had a mixture of humans working with both fighting and psychic-type Pokemon

Anyway! Besides the residents of the city, there were wild Pokemon as well! Well, a few of them. Everywhere Amelia went she would see little birds looking about, while common, could be great a start for any budding trainer. Well, maybe not in her case due to her very specific specialization in ghost-types, but at it was good to know that these Pokemon were here.

In this case, it seemed like there were two types of Flying-Types that were in competition to get the most food.

Pokedex Entry #016- Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokémon. They are docile Pokémon that avoid fighting, kicking up sand in an enemy’s face or using Whirlwind to avoid battles. They have sharp senses of direction, capable of finding their nest or destination from very large distances. They inhabit tall grass where they search and prey on small bugs.

Pokedex Entry #519-Pidove, the Tiny Pidgeon Pokemon. Where people go, these Pokémon follow. If you're scattering food for them, be careful— several hundred of them can gather at once. It's forgetful and not very bright, but many Trainers love it anyway for its friendliness and sincerity.

Besides the birds, there were also some felines just lazing about that took advantage of the food offerings that humans gave them and otherwise would just be looting.

Pokédex Entry #052 – Meowth, the Scratch Cat Pokémon. During the night Meowth are known to sneak around stealthily in search of prey and shiny objects which it adores with a passion. During the day, Meowth is known to laze around all day. In the dark, its eyes glow.

Then there were scurrying rat Pokemon that seemed to be the prey of the Meowth when they felt like hunting.

Pokédex Entry #019 – Rattata, the Mouse Pokémon. This Pokémon is common but hazardous. Its sharp incisors can easily cut right through hard wood. Its incisors grow continuously throughout its life. If its incisors get too long, this Pokémon becomes unable to eat, and it starves to death.

Eventually, perhaps due to her oversleeping this morning, she had skipped breakfast and was quite famished. Luckly, she had just stopped outside of what appeared to be a cafe with outdoor seating. People from all walks of life, were sitting around, chatting, drinking coffee, and eating though perhaps to her anxiety she did not enter. However, this was noticed by one of the employees who walked over to her. He spoke to her in a heavy Kalosian (French) accent. "Ah, petite fille! How can I help you and your little companion?"

At Basil's suggestion, the only thing that Steph gave him in immediate return was a blank look. It seemed like she was taking a moment to process this thought, if it wasn't obvious this never once occurred to her at any point during this little endeavour. While she was still indeed a little annoyed with the Sneasal for stealing her pokedex, it wasn't like that would affect her decision....right?

At the very least, Steph seemed to join the Sneasal in seriously considering this proposition. I mean honestly, it was a good deal for Steph regardless so long as she buried the hatchet over the robbery it committed right? There was no real or obvious downside on her part. Though she took a moment to throw a look to her shoulder, where Dusk was just happily relaxing away while this little exchange was happening. "Lit?" One could almost see him pointing at himself as her questioning gaze at the Litwick.

"Lit, Litwick!" While Steph wasn't exactly an expert on understanding a litwick, or most pokemon for that matter, they both seemed to be on the same wavelength however as there was just a simple exchange of nods after Dusk's flame seemed to increase for just a brief moment when it cried out. It seemed to clue towards Dusk being...happy?

"Waell, dusk heah is moah thahn hahppy t' laeh' yah in sao Oy ineh' gawt nao prawblem if yah wahnna join us bud. Nao doubt we would be ooll the bettah faw ih'. We do plahn on weennin thiies whole laygue though, sao yah bettah be praepaehd t' be trine and become the baest weeth us oolroigh'? just a faeh wahnin sao yah knaow whaht yaw gettin yoahsself intao. and who knaows, mybee whaen weah bawth strawng enough we cahn haelp stawp aw praevent uhthah pokemawn frawm bein weeth sloimebohls loike thaht deepshih'? At the very layst, we'll be able t' do somethin aw dayl weeth ih' a lawt aysier thahn thaht maess bahck theah!" Stating she was going to win the league on the very first day of her adventure, a day where she had almost gotten arrested twice, was bold. Ultra, mega bold. Arrogant even. But the way she spoke and held herself, she seemed convinced this was the only way her journey would end. She exerted confidence at least, that was for certain.

"Lit, lit!" And the way Dusk called out from her shoulder in what seemed to be agreement seemed to show maybe this level of confidence didn't fall too far from the tree in that sense either.

But at the end of the day, it was up to the Sneasal on whether or not it wanted to join forces with this crazed lunatic of a girl. She wasn't going to force it one way or the other.

Amelia was more than happy to explore the city, taking in the sightes and sounds. It was so different from Florasong and she made sure to enjoy it as much as she could. She spent some time watching the Pidgey and Pidoves, finding something both entertaining and soothing about watching the little birds going around and pecking food. Phantump floated nearby, watching along with his trainer curious about what she saw that kept her interested so much. After a while of watching the pokemon eat though, her own stomach growled and it finally dawned on her that she hadn't eaten since she had left home. So much had happened so quickly that the thought of eating simply hadn't occurred to her.

It was from such a realization, that she found herself in front of the cafe. The young girl looked at it and the people who were already there and eating. Her stomach let out a small growl as she debated going in or not, losing herself in her thoughts until she was spoken to. The sudden interaction caused the girl to jump a bit and turn towards the waiter.
"S-s-sorry. I was just... just uh..." She stuttered before her stomach let out a loud growl, causing the girl's face to go as red as a tamato berry.

This case was proving difficult and making little head way. Tristan was starting to think he made a mistake thinking he could try playing detective as these thieves seemed to really know what they were doing. They had to be to avoid being caught even with such security though for some reason they were sloppy last night. What was different to make them sloppy? It seemed like the thief was in a rush, more so than usual considering they were given chase; likely unable to maneuver through the fence like they normally would. And the ranch hasn't had any recent hires which was smart as they would be the most likely suspect so then...how exactly were they doing this? The thieves definitely had someone on the inside and possibly a skilled hacker. It could be possible they bribed and paid out one of the staff that manned this station, but that was risky for a number of reasons so it was unlikely.

The musing teen leaned back in his chair with arms folded across his chest as he pondered over such questions in his head while staring at the screens. Another strange thing was the speed; able to act so quickly.

" Mr. Hurley. Tell me something. Does anything of note occur during the days of these robberies? Any events that are different from the usual day or yesterday in particular? Or any visitors?" His thumb gently tapped against his shoulder as he asked the man while glancing at the two men in turn to gauge their reactions towards his latest line of questions.

Stella stared at the birds for a second before walking casually aside with Kaebe. "That's... A lot of birds..." She had a seat with Kaebe off to the side, giving him some pets as she planned.

She let Yamper out. She dug into her bag and got a little snack for him from her bag. Maybe she should keep an eye out for berries, too. She's heard trainers will leave berries with their Pokemon, and they can eat them at will. "Scamp. Find a place nearby to hide. I'm going to throw a PokeBall at one of those birds, I want you to wait for the way to be clear before you grab the ball and bring it to me. Can you do that?"

"Yam?" The poor pooch tilted his head to the side. That was a complicated order.

"Too much at once, huh? Hmm." Stella thought for a moment. She needed to simplify the command. "Ok. Once the birds leave, fetch the ball. And you can use Nuzzle if you're in trouble."

Scamp looked at the birds and then back at Stella before giving a soft yip. This was the place he'd come from, after all. He knew to avoid the big crowds of birds like that. Angry things.

"Good. Now go hide nearby, where you can see. Kaebe, I'll have you pick out one of those birds and tackle it toward me. I'll hit it with a PokeBall and then we will... Run." Kaebe had liked the plan until then. Run? "Don't worry," she let the small Pokemon she was about to mention out, into her shoulder, "we've got Niblet to cover our escape with Electroweb. Stay hidden in my hair until you need to shoot, so they don't see you. Kaebe-" wait a minute, "ooh, you can Roar, can't you? That makes this much easier. Niblet, Kaebe, change of plan."

Stella picked an empty ball from her belt, "Niblet, Electroweb a few of them. I'll get one in a ball. Kaebe, you roar after the ball closes to send the rest away. We'll fight the remainder, or maybe I'll catch more."

Niblet nodded with determination and jumped down, throwing web at the nearest ones and then hiding behind Kaebe as Stella wound up her throw.

Okay, this one definitely didn't feel like a good win, not that the other did either. The kids had asked her to participate, and Sage wasn't exactly experienced in battling as far as she knew; starting Pokémon were generally trained enough to tamed already but not battle exerts. Still, the girl crying made it hard to congratulate Sage on a battle well done. She exchanged the apologetic look with the teen, though. It may not have been the first time, but it still mustn't be easier on the girl's sister to deal with a kid wanting comfort after every fight.

A soft, sympathetic smile slid into place as she turned her attention to the girl. "You know, you've got a pretty good Pokémon. If you continue to train it as well as you have been, you'll be beating people easily. This field is a great place to train your Nicket to get stronger and less susceptible to scares."

Sage, in the meantime, trotted over rather proud of himself. Maybe her words would help calm the girl's tears, but if not at least she tried. Sage didn't deserve his triumph to be overshadowed by the other's defeat though. This was only his second battle, after all. Faye knelt down and gave him scritches behind his ears. He yipped happily, and Faye smiled more. "Yes, you did well. You were a very fierce little fighter. Soon enough you'll be stronger and even have a team to battle with that will help you get even tougher."

She turned her attention from the last battle to her next one.

Like the other kids, he seemed just as certain of himself as well. While another normal type should have made her feel confident - which wasn't to say she wasn't given she was battling kids and how strong could their pokemon be? - this was only Sage's 3rd battle. She didn't want to go in too confident and lose to a kid. The Wooloo was extremely fluffy - just how much of that fluff was fluff and how much was body? One way to find out.

"Sage, get in there and use Tail Whip, then Tackle."

The Sneasel sat there ruminating on such an important decision. It looked like it was weighing its options, specifically if it would be a good idea to work with someone that it literally just stole from and if she had a vendetta against it even though she doesn't seem to have any ill-will. Eventually, it looked up and stared her right in the eyes. Snease, snease. It was looking at Steph expectantly.

"I think it decided to join you." Freya said, a little unsure, but had a hunch.

If Steph held a Pokeball out, the Sneasel would tap the button with the tip of its claws and be absorbed in a beam of red light. The ball would drop to the ground and begin to roll.

It rolled once...it rolled twice... it rolled thrice!

However, as soon as she caught the ball, the Pokedex went off on a very now overdue entry of the dual type pokemon.

"Sneasel, the Sharp Claw Pokémon. It has a cunning yet savage disposition. It waits for parents to leave their nests, and then it sneaks in to steal their eggs. It uses its claws to poke holes in eggs so it can slurp out the insides. Breeders consider it a scourge and will drive it away or eradicate it."

Well after that very uplifting entry of Sneasels, Basil spoke up and said, "Well, all's well that ends well. Congrats on your new partner. What are you two going to do now? "

@Joshua Tamashii

Now this was a very hefty, middle-aged man whose neck seemed to meld with his chin and a stomach that protruded forward with his pristine white chef's uniform. He had a very pointy pencil mustache that looked like it would poke someone's eyes out, a balding head hidden by the very tall chef's hat, and gentle almond eyes that lit up with sparks of joy when he heard the girl's stomach rumble. After all, for what greater pleasure is there in life for a chef than to feed a hungry customer?

He had a hearty laugh and said to the lass, "What are you apologizing for? A growing girl must eat! Come, come."

The chef motioned her to follow him to one of the outside tables of the bistro.

If she didn't what would she do?

@samreaper

"Nothing that I can think of. I mean, they aren't some Phantom Thief that go around leaving calling cards before they rob us.", said Hurly though as he spoke, he looked like he was bothered both something. "Well, there is one consistency that is odd. For each night of the robberies, the same person had always been on camera duty. A kid named Robbie. Been here for about a couple of years now. Good kid, if a bit clumsy."

"I know what you are going to say. The kid isn't involved. We've seen the footage so there's no way he'd be able to stop it. Besides, he was with us last night when we were chasing the robber." Despite saying that, he didn't look convinced. There was definitely loyalty to the workers on the farm, but also a mix of doubt because even he saw how suspicious it was though the issue of the matter was evidence. No one could prove this Robbie guy was working with the robbers. It was possible that he was just some really unlucky, unobservant sap.

@CitrusArms

So yes, Niblet used Eletroweb at the nearest one and the poor bird was electrocuted and just barely hanging on only to be smacked in the face by a Pokeball and absorbed into the ball.

It rolled once...it rolled twice... it rolled thrice!

Now here is the issue. The Roar didn't actually scare them away. If anything, it now just brought attention to it. Niblet was too small for the Rookidees to notice so when they looked to see who the hell was responsible for all of this, their gazes fell onto Stella and her dinosaur. There were about twenty of these things and they were now very focused on Stella and very angry. They all flocked to her in a cheeping rage.

Current objective: survive.

@Sanguine Rose

"Wooly, dodge that Tail Whip and follow up with Tackle!", shouted the child!

So, Sage's Tail Whip was going to completely whiff, but when the Wooloo tried to dodge it somehow lost its balance by not distributing its weight correctly and got hit in the face by the Tail Whip. This was then followed by up an extremely hard Tackle that critted the sheep Pokemon. It didn't knock it out though. In fact, Sage bounced off from the fur as it somehow had given it some resistance against all physical based attacks. What happened was this.

The force of Sage's critical hit Tackle knocked the Wooloo off its feet and send it rolling as Wooloos are prone to do. The issue was that the Wooloo was now rolling down a hill bleating in distress.

"Wooly! No!" All of the children stopped what they were doing and were now chasing after this runaway Wooloo down the hill to make sure it doesn't slam into a tree or through someone's fencing.

So... Faye wins?

Sage grew to level 6!

"Uh...that happened. Don't... don't mind them. They'll sort it out." The teen girl said, rubbing the back of her head with an unsure expression on her face. "Well, a deal's a deal. Since they're, uh, rescuing Wooly, I'll show you where that Pokemon is. Follow me." And with that the tournament, if anyone could call it that, ended and now Faye was being led through a meadow.

While he wanted to be stunned and surprised by the fact that the plan had not only worked so well, it had set up the next step for him. "Alright, that works. Murus, hit it with Astonish, three times in quick succession. Don't let up!" He glanced to check on the other two with him before returning his attention to his own battle. "Follow them up with a Defense Curl, keep upping that defensive power!"

Hmm. That didn't work. Running would have been better. Well, she got her bird, at any rate. Now, what to do... Niblet was uniquely small, and latchy. This was a good combination for a number of untility purposes. "Niblet. Climb on to Kaebe's back and use Electroweb whenever the birds get close to attack. Kaebe, Tackle to your heart's content, and don't let them surround you. Keep each other safe. Scamp, go now, run through to me!"

Kaebe let Niblet climb up onto his back before charging forward to tackle the closest bird. Scamp swallowed and charged ahead, hearing the command. Grab the ball and run back. Like she told him, he'd use Nuzzle as he charged through toward the ball, and then bee-line it toward Stella. She's be ready with his ball to return him and take her plunder.

Maybe she can catch some more of these birds.

What Hurly said next proved to be an important clue and one he wished he had gotten a bit earlier." You said the robberies have only been done while Robbie is manning the station?" If this is true then it only makes him wonder why they simply hadn't set up better watch whenever this Robbie was on the cameras or given him a different job. Either the staff's loyalty were keeping them from suspecting the man or some of these folks weren't exactly too...bright themselves. Whatever the case, it was unlikely that Robbie was working with the thieves or at least not intentionally.

If Robbie was indeed of the clumsy sort and not an act, then his guess was that this person was an unwilling stooge having their incompetence taking advantage of. They likely only picked the nights they knew Robbie would be watching the cameras who would be doing so poorly or that he is easily tricked and manipulated, but then that raises another question. How do they know the station watch schedule if this was indeed the case?

" Hurly, you have been a great help and I have need of it a little more. How are the scheduling for job roles security station handled? And when will Robbie be watching this place next?"

It came as something of a surprise to Steph that the Sneasal actually agreed. Only moments ago they were adversaries, now they were allies. Suppose it made up for the time wasted on this little endeavor, and the Sneasal was better off with her than that piece of shit anyway! Alls well that ends well and all that jazz. Holding out a Pokeball to it, she watched as the little cretin tapped on it and vanished in a flash of light. It felt like it had already clicked well before the ball had hit the ground, the moment the third roll was done Steph was already kneeling down to pick up the newest addition to her team.

A lot had happened in a short time huh? She had only been a trainer a few hours and she already had half a team.

Hearing her pokedex speak up, she ignored the description it blurted out. It didn't matter much to her, these little snippets were always kinda weird. Like who the fuck in their right mind write this? Cracking open eggs and drinking the insides? Why did she need to know this? God, whoever wrote this was some kind of special nutjob.

"Whaht's naext?" Steph echoed back to Basil, as she looked to Faye for a moment. What were they doing again? Oh right, Steph wanted to check out the docks! It wasn't every day she went to the big city, and this one was in a foreign region! It would be remiss of her to not check things out before leaving. At the very least, she didn't feel like she needed to be in a rush anywhere. "Suppose me and faoy weah gawnna hayd on daown t' the dawcks t' say if theah was anythin inteahstin gaowin on daown theah. aftah thaht, mybee chaeck around taown. Say if theah's anythin inteahstin. Faye Wrexlyn

Things weren't looking good for the first time using Tail Whip, but much to Faye's surprise, the Wooloo had even worse luck. The poor thing was offbalance then distracted, and while she was apprehensive about how well Sage's tackle would land - that was definitely a fluffy Wooloo after all - it all seemed to go off so much worse than she figured.

Sage bounced off the Wooloo and landed, shaking his head to right it after the hit landed. Then watched on in a bit of worry as the Wooloo bounced away and started rolling down the hill. The whole thing happened so fast, Faye couldn't think to react and stood there just, dumbfound, and watched in horrid amazement as it rolled away. Thus ending her third battle as a trainer.

Wait...they won, again, just that easily?

The Eevee yipped happily as he trotted back over to his trainer. A few blinks, and Faye was able to greet him with a smile and scritches. "You performed wonderfully, and looks like you're getting stronger too." The congratulations were short-lived as her attention was stolen away by the babysitter. Right. The runaway Wooloo....Oh, right! the Pokémon she was even battling to get to try to capture.

Faye stood, casting one last look toward the children chasing after the Wooloo. She and Sage caught up with the girl and walked with her. "Are you sure they don't need any help catching Wooly? We can help them catch him again before going to see the Pokémon."

@Zarkun

To restate what was said in an earlier post, any attack would land automatically, not attacks. So, the first Astonish landed with no problem and did a little bit of damage. However, after the first Astonish, the Scyther had gotten luck with its roll and was able to forcibly break out of the webbing it was trapped in though it was still open to an attack as it was still regaining its balance. Unlucky for Murus, the Scyther had just barely dodged the second Astonish though the third Astonish met its mark and it was a crit.

The Scyther stumbled back in shock that it was actually being pushed back by this Golett of all things though once the shock wore off, it was incensed. The humiliation of getting caught in a web and then to be pushed into a corner by this thing.

Murus got off the Defense Curl just in time as the Scyther made a mad dash towards it and swung its claws using Fury Cutter in three quick consecutive slashes.

What does Jason do?

@CitrusArms

So, by going triple battle rules, Electroweb can hit potentially hit three Pokemon. All three of the webs did hit and contracted around the birds before shocking them to the point that all three of them fainted. They were probably of a lower level compared to the one that she just caught. Due to the fact that Niblet took down three of them by itself, it gained a large amount of experience.

Niblet is now level 7!

Meanwhile, Kaebe threw its body weight for a fierce Tackle that was a critical hit. Some poor Rookidee just got completely rocked by some dino pup with a danger tick on its back and was sent packing into the earth.

Kaebe is now level 8!
Kaebe learned Ancient Power!

Scamp the Yamper dashed forward as much as its stubby little legs would allow it to. Luckily, the flock was focused on Kaebe and Niblet trying to Rambo through this battle. He came back with the newly acquired Rookidee's ball in its mouth.

It was a valiant effort and her quick wit and ability to keep a cool head in the midst of a dangerous situation was commendable, but her Pokemon were tired from their previous bouts and there were just too many of these birds. As much as they tried, it was impossible to avoid getting pecked by these birds. It was very obvious that she was getting overwhelmed.

"Electrode, Thunderbolt."

A booming crackle followed by a blinding blast of yellow electricity crackled and consumed all of these birds in one fell swoop. They all just dropped to the ground unconscious; their feathers all fluffed up by the electricity coursing through them.

The one responsible was off to her left a bit off the path. It was a girl that looked about her age with blonde hair pulled back into an impossibly spiky ponytail that had various feathers somehow attached. She had these large, bright green eyes did betray the energetic demeanor that she just seemed to radiate with. Her attire was relatively simple that consisted of a white tank-top, torn up jeans, and red sneakers though her wrists were decorated in various different wristbands and bangles.

"Jeez girl, you were just gonna fight a flock of Rookidees on your own? You've got some guts! I like that." "But you looked like you were in a bit of trouble, so I thought me and my buddy here would lend a hand. Metaphorically speaking." She patted the round Pokemon next to her. It was strange because this Electrode looked very different compared to most mainly due to the fact that it looked like it was made out of wood.

"Electrode, the Sphere Pokemon. The tissue on the surface of its body is curiously similar in composition to an Apricorn. When irritated, this Pokémon lets loose an electric current equal to 20 lightning bolts."

How does Stella respond?

@samreaper

"Well, yeah. Honestly, I'm not really surprised that it happened under his watch. The kid was born under the unluckiest star. It's almost supernatural how bad it is, but the kid makes up with his effort. That and he is one of the few guys here, including me, that is good with computers and tech in general. "

He continued to explain.

"Yesterday was his shift so he won't be manning the station for about three days. Scheduling is handled way in advance as to accommodate any future plans such as vacations or personal things such as holidays that correspond with practicing religions. Sometimes it has to be adjusted if someone is sick, injured, or some other emergency that would keep them from manning the security station. We all have digital copies and there is a physical one posted in our breakroom."

@Lunarlord34

"The docks? Not a bad idea. It's a bit rough, but you two would probably be fine." Considering the circumstances of how he met Steph, he was more worried that she would be the one to throw a punch.

"Well, I only arrived last night so I don't really know what's happening in the city currently, but I'm pretty certain if you are going to the docks then you are bound to hear something. It's just a general hub for most people in the city so I'd be shocked if you didn't hear something.", Explained Basil.

"Well, seeing as everything's resolved, I'll get out of your hair. I do have some business I need to attend, but, despite the circumstances, it was nice to meet one Adriane's chosen trainers. I look forward to seeing how you all grow." He turned around and detached a Pokeball from his belt and tossed up in the air. In a beam of white light formed a very formidable draconic beast with two proud, red wings. Its very presence exuded great force and domination, a being with incredible pride in its strength. Just one look in its eyes would send shivers down the spine though Basil greeted his companion with a gentle smile and the creature lowered its head for him and received a pet.

"Salamance, the Dragon Pokemon. Salamence is an unusual Pokémon in that it was able to evolve a body with wings just by constantly wishing to be able to fly. While basking in the joy of flight generally keeps this Pokémon in high spirits, Salamence turns into an uncontrollable menace if something angers it."

Basil hopped up on the pseudo-legendary and sat down on the space between its neck and shoulders. He turned back to the two girls. "Goodbye and good luck on your journeys. Also, hold onto your Litwick." Steph would soon understand why in a second. The Salamance beat its wings and with that came a great force of air to propel itself in the air. That gust would certainly knock Dusk off her shoulder. Very quickly, the Salamance was flying high in the air with Basil in tow.

After a moment, Freya turned to Steph and asked, "To the docks?"

@Sanguine Rose

She had a moment of brief pause as she thought about what Faye asked and whether or not helping the kids catch Wooly was a good idea. "It's...fine. It gives them something to do and it's not like the hill was that steep, so they probably caught up to it by now. Besides, Wooloo are lot more resilient than you'd think they'd be. I'm certain things are fine... Probably."

If Faye was really that worried, she was free to go check on the kids to see if they really needed help with catching Wooly, otherwise she would just be continued to be led through the hilly fields and farmland.

@hatakekuro

Amelia was hesitant to follow the chef but, well, she was hungry and food was being offered. Even she knew that one needed food to make it through the day, as well as grow. She was short enough of as was, she didn't want to stay short. So follow him she did, thankful to get out of the sun and into some shade, since her fair skin didn't really fair that well one clear days like this, which was part of the reason she was usually awake at night. Regardless, once she was in her seat and got comfortable, she took her time looking at the menu handed to her and... was immediately confused as could be. She didn't know what anything one the menu was. It seemed to... fancy and she hadn't really eaten out before. Sure, there had been a few times, but usually at the festivals or just a little family outing when her parent's let her. But none of them had been to a bistro or to someplace that seemed to be on the fancier side.

Thus, when the chef returned, she looked up at him, her expression clearly confused.
"I'm... I'm sorry. I don't really know what any of these dishes are. But uh... is there anything on the sweeter side that might keep me from being hungry for a while?" She said, her tone still clearly nervous.

To say she didn't learn much from Basil was a disappointment would be a lie. But suppose if he wasn't really from around here and was just here to visit, it would make sense so no use dwelling on the matter. At the very least she learned that if she wanted to know such things, the docks were the place to go so that just reinforced her thoughts to go there.

"Yayh a plezshah t' mayt yah too Basil. Wigh' is thaht a Salamence?!" Starry-eyed, she watched as the edgelord oc pulled out a Pokeball and let out the aforementioned dragon type. Holy hell, who was this guy really? SHe still felt like it was on the tip of her tongue but it continued to elude her. But it seemed like she was very much a fan of the pokemon he sent out. "Haow Oy'll graow? Mite, naext toime we mayt Oy'll probahbly be keeckin yoah butt weeth haow strawng Oy've gawtten." It was a bold exclamation, but once more she seemed to believe it. Though when he mentioned for her to hold Dusk she went to question it before it twigged.

So as the Salamence went to take off, grabbed at the litwick before copping a facefull of hair as the winds that the dragon stirred up. Watching as he disappeared into the sky, she blew some strands out of her face before putting Dusk back on her shoulder and then brushing whatever hair was still in her face out of the way before turning to face Faye.

"Yayh, we should geh' gaowin befoah ih' gets dahk and whahtnawt as waell. The die ine't gettin any youngah aftah ooll!" Hopefully they hadn't missed the bus they were waiting for...or if they had, that the next one wasn't too far off. In fact actually...where were they now? SHe hadn't been paying attention, so she wasn't even sure if they could find their way back to that bus stop...good thing she took her stuff with her huh? Oh well, she was sure Faye would be able to get them to the docks with little issues, whether it was leading her there by food or simply finding a new bus stop or whatever.
