This seems pretty interesting. Always liked the ideas of Mech and robots fighting. Will defiantly look more into the systems you provided. As of now House Steiner seems like it would be interesting.

@Th3King0fChaos If you want a good melee-focused 'mech, you could always claim the Hatchetman.

@Letter Bee The absolute most common 'mechs are the Locust, Wasp and Stinger - but if you want something larger, the Shadow Hawk, Wolverine and Griffin are all pretty commonplace. You can find them in pretty much every force around.

Also this is me saying "interested", I've been waiting for a Battletech RP for a long time.

@AndyC, Sorry for the double-post, but are there any forbidden 'High Concepts', such as 'Unhinged Lunatic' or 'Heir to a Throne'?

I wouldn't assume so. He put it in there. We are also random mercenaries. We can be whoever we want to be.

Also thank you, I'll take it into consideration.

They're all on the table. Though "Heir to a Throne" would be the heir to a Periphery world or a corporation, rather than the heir to a Great House or the like.

As @wikkit mentioned, Wasps, Stingers, and Locusts are all pretty ubiquitous, as are Griffins and Shadow Hawks. Warhammers and Archers are a pretty common sight for heavy mechs, and if there's an assault Mech on the field, there's a pretty good chance that it's a Stalker.

There are also Mechs that are far more common with specific factions. House Kurita, for instance, will field whole companies of nothing but Jenners and Panthers. House Davion, on the other hand, is big on autocannon-centered Mechs like the Jagermech, Centurion, and Blackjack.

I'd go with a Shadow Hawk. It's a decent mix of speed, armor, jump jets, and has one or two weapons for every range. It's not the sort of thing that'll make your enemy crap their pants when they see it (unless they're infantry), but it can do whatever you need it to do reasonably well. If you want the same concept on a beefier frame, there's also the Grasshopper, but it's much less common.

If they're actually fighting, I think about 16 to 18 is the absolute youngest most respectable forces would let onto the battlefield. The hero of the first three novels, Grayson Carlyle, was about 20 when he first saw combat, and he was considered exceptionally young for a Mechwarrior. While the setting has its darker moments, it doesn't really veer into full-blown child soldier levels of dark.

If you want a support or 'mascot' character running around in the HQ, they can be proper kids; most merc companies that don't have a permanent land hold have to bring their families and civilian contingent with them (though usually in a separate ship).

Sure; I'm planning on having OOC go live on Monday, and I'll probably start the Discord server then.

As multiple characters are permitted; I might make both - Thanks!

Man I wish the discord was up so memes can go flying. I have no idea of anything Mechwarrior related, but I feel like it has plenty of memes.
