"Guess we wait a moment for Carolina to come back or whatever?" Pietro asked Lance. Everyone else was starting to sneak along off elsewhere to try and get upstairs.

Lance rolled his eyes, before he started moving along slowly in the direction that Carolina had gone. There was a slight shimmer of light that surrounded the pair, before he managed to make them invisible. Considering the fact that Carolina was trying to take over a member of the group they were trying to stop, not being visible seemed like a good idea. He kept quiet as he sort of followed along after the group that was nearby, figuring that Carolina would go for them.

One member of the group where Carolina was seemed to notice something was off. "You okay Avalanche?" the guy asked, looking at her. Avalanche was still fighting to break free from her.

Mary followed along after Cass and Guin, since that was the group that she had ended up with, following along quietly up the stairs. Personally, she was fine with not being in charge, that sort of thing was overrated, and the last time that she was in charge of anyone it had ended with the situation that they currently were in. She still blamed herself for what had happened, so she was currently set to do whatever it took to try and fix everything.

Guin poked the door open at the top of the stairs, and Mary decided to do a bit more scouting. "Allow me..." she muttered, as a vine shot out from her pocket, and started almost acting like a snake out into the hallway, her eyes were glowing fairly faintly. "Farther along is clear for the moment, however there are a few voices coming from a door nearby, we need to be careful."

The other group that was going along, Thalia was right behind the other two, and Jade was leading the way up the stairs in general. She heard the voices, not to mention the door knob starting to turn before there was a brief flash of silver, her hands turning to appear covered in scales, as the door was halfway open, and those outside it were seemingly frozen in place.

"Uh... Sorry... I kind of panicked a bit, um... Anyone want to knock these guys out or stab them or something? Please? Not sure they will stay frozen for very long and figure this way we might be able to avoid any super loud noise... Probably..." she said, looking to Ed and Jade, figuring that one of them would do something, it was only 3 people in the doorway.

Edus Penior

Skill: Stealth; magic

Ed followed Jade up the stairs. His heart was pounding. He pushed aside his fears. None of them mattered. They'd either live or die. He could only do his best at the moment. He tensed as the door started to open. But Thalia did some of her time magic, and the three were frozen.

His hands shaking a little, he created a bubble. At first, it appeared outside his target. He took a deep breath centering himself. Reminding himself that if they failed here, the world would likely fall into ruin. That put a weight on his shoulders that he didn't necessarily want, but it focused him. The bubble disappeared, and another appeared, but this one was not visible to the others.

Ed had created this one inside one of the men. Around their heart. It was essentially an insta-kill. There was no fighting it. Not that there would be any way for this man frozen in time. It also meant he had once again broken the family laws. This was forbidden. But Ed doubted it would ever matter.

Carolina as Avalanche looked over towards one of his buddies asking if he was alright she nodded slightly. "Yeah just I feel like total shit right now, I have to go to the bathroom. You guys go ahead." Carolina said they seemed to be convinced enough as she turned and made her way down the hallway trying to make it look like she was heading for the bathroom.

She however could feel Avalanche still trying to fight for control over his body again, as Carolina rounded the corner the other had gone off to what they were going to do, as Carolina started looking around for Lance and Pietro. But she didn't want to say anything out loud to reveal that she wasn't actually Avalanche.

Cassandra watched as Mary used her power to make a vine and watched it move out of the stairwell and into the hallway that was in front of them. "Nice trick there Mary." Cassandra said smiling towards Mary and nodded she wasn't going to follow where the voices were leading as she quietly opened the door and looked around. She managed to memorize the floor plans and waved for both Mary and Guin to follow her as she turned towards one of the doors and opened it managing to find what they were looking for.

"Alright what do you need us to do Mary?" Cassandra whispered to Mary since she knew how the plant worked and if they needed to defend her as she did her work or whatever or just to keep watch for anyone coming their way as well to. Cass just hoped that their plan would actually work.

Jade & Guin

Somedays, Guin wondered how Mary had ever lost to the Brotherhood - her powers were so incredibly unique and powerful, she wouldn't have been able to imagine someone beating her if she had not witnessed it herself. Mary confirmed for them that voices were nearby, meaning potential people for Guin to switch with, but also potential people that they'd have to fight off. As much as Guin felt a little bit antsy to hop into a body that would let her contribute more, now wasn't the time for that.

Cass took the lead, and Guin followed along after her quietly. She'd find someone to body hop with later. All that really mattered was that she got to have vengeance for her family - that she got to kill the man who had taken them away from her. Cass then asked Mary what she needed them to do once they entered a new room, and Guin didn't say a word - mostly because she figured it was best to be as quiet as possible, just in case people got a little too close and overheard them, ruining any element of surprise they had.

Meanwhile, Jade's readied action had been interrupted by Thalia suddenly stopping time, freezing the goons into place. Edus cast a spell, creating a sort of bubble, though it then vanished. And seconds later, the goon Edus had been attacking dropped dead. Jade didn't know what exactly Edus had done, but she knew magic when she saw it - dark magic particularly. But now wasn't the time to judge or ask questions, there were more goons that they had to deal with, and Jade had brought her angel blade with her for a reason.

She then attempted to stab the remaining two people in the doorway, using her angel blade. The blade was powerful enough to kill the Devil, she hoped that it would be enough to kill these two quickly and quietly. It didn't matter who they were either - they needed to be dealt with, so they could achieve their goal.

Jade would be able to take out the remaining two in the doorway, their bodies dropping surprisingly slowly to the floor. Thalia lowered her hands for a moment now, thinking, "Okay... Now that that is dealt with... Um, guess we continue onwards then?" She wasn't entirely sure what to do, she was perfectly fine with following after Ed and Jade as opposed to leading the way on her own. This was not exactly the sort of thing she was really used to doing.

Out in the hallway, the coast seemed to be clear for the three of them now. Though they might want to consider hiding the bodies or something like that at this point. Since sooner or later, someone would likely show up and find them and raise some sort of alarm.

Over with the group of Cass, Guin and Mary, they'd be able to enter the room and seem to be able to do things without too much of an interruption. Hopefully anyway, that was the idea after all. However she wasn't sure how well this was going to work out. After all, she was creating something that hadn't actively been tested on any living thing. She also had messed with it to the point where in theory she had made it so that it wouldn't effect their group, but everyone else in the building. That was also something she wasn't entirely sure would actually work out.

"I'm still not entirely sure how well this is going to work out..." Mary muttered. It wasn't an exact science, she had been spending the majority of the time eyeballing everything, since what would have made the whole creating of things easier was if she had a genetics lab of sorts to more easily craft what she was doing since she was manipulating plant cells in order to create a plant a custom poison of sorts. It would be one thing if she had actually done that sort of thing before, but she hadn't. So she didn't have a baseline at all for it.

Mary went to over to the nearest vent and yanked it off the wall. "Should be a few minutes before this ends up actually working out... And as stated, this might not work, it wasn't exactly tested and I've never exactly made some weird plant pollen to do this sort of thing... It'll take a while for it to circulate the building. But if all works out well, we won't be effected, but everyone else in the building will... In theory..." Yeah, that's all it really was at that point, just a theory in general. They'd be able to hear what sounded like footsteps not too far away from them further down the hallway, heading their way.

Lance and Pietro weren't too sure whether or not Carolina was in control of any of the group out there. After all, they couldn't exactly see her. However one thing they did get clued in on, was that something was up with Avalanche giving his random comment of sorts. The others in the group turned to look, before shrugging slightly and continuing to wander off and around a corner out of sight.

Once they were gone, Lance dropped the invisibility, and walked over, "So, now we get moving on and eventually see about meeting up with the others upstairs? We should get going, since we are running a bit behind everyone else..."

"Shouldn't take too long to catch up, so let's get going already."

Carolina looked over her shoulder as Avalanche's friends turned and headed back around the corner, she closed her eyes and sighed slightly as she turned around just in time to see Lance and Pietro as Lance dropped their little cloaking ability. "Thankfully you guys didn't attack me." She said jokingly through Avalanche's body, which was still really weird but hopefully it'll at least give them some cover as she looked at Lance and Pietro. [color=cyan["Alright then lets get going."[/color] Carolina said as she started to make her way towards the stairs where one of the other groups had taken.

Carolina took a moment to stare at the closet that her body was stashed in, hopefully no one decided to enter the room or anything like that as she made her way towards the stairwell. "You guys should do the invisibility thingy in case someone comes by." Carolina whispered to Lance and Pietro, that way it would make them think that Avalanche was walking by himself.

Cassandra leaned slightly against the wall as she watched Mary getting prepared to use her abilities to make their pollen spore creation to take out Magneto's people. She wished that they had more time to test and prepare but sadly they didn't at all which is a bad thing and anything bad could go wrong. "It's the best plan we got with the time that we have." Cass whispered with a slight shrug as she looked over at Guin as she could hear some footsteps coming their way and gave her a slight nod.

"If they open the door switch with them." Cassandra told Guin quietly, she'd have to make sure that Guin's body was restrained in case the switch was successful. They had a few minutes to wait for their pollen thing to work its way into the building she just waited to see what would happen next.

Neither Thalia or Jade seemed too concerned about Ed's methods. At least not enough to bring it up. He'd take it. His stomach was twisting, though. He pushed through it. Ed and went down the empty hallway, opening a door slowly. He was rewarded with an empty room. It seemed unused. He came back to the stairwell.

"That room seems unused. If we put the bodies there, that'll take care of that problem." He summoned a bubble big enough for the three corpses. He then directed them into the room, unceremoniously dumping the bodies into it. He waited for Jade and Thalia before he continued.

Jade & Guin

Jade nodded, following along as Edus scooped up the bodies into a bubble and placed them inside an abandoned room. She agreed with the need to be cautious, although the cynic in her could not help but assume that the others would alert the Brotherhood to their presence here quickly enough. Still, the sloppiness of other groups was no reason why they had to behave similarly. "Smashing," Jade said quietly in praise, before poking her head outside the room slowly, just in case.

There didn't seem to be anyone out there - the coast was still clear. Jade quietly and carefully crept along the length of the hallway, her angel blade at the ready to stab anything that moved, be it friend or foe, she wasn't taking any chances. As she moved further along, she heard voices and Jade slowed down. There were three unique voices, and she held up three fingers, so that way Edus and Thalia would instantly know how much they were dealing with. Fortunately, the voices were becoming more distant, rather than closer - the group was walking away from them, not towards them.

Meanwhile, Guin watched as Mary opened up one of the vents and got ready to enact her portion of the plan. For the moment then, she and Cass were in a holding pattern. If someone came along and surprised Mary, they'd have to fight like hell to make sure that Mary had time to do her weird plant magic thing. A part of Guin hoped that no one would come through that door - but another part of her did. There was a part of her that planned on going out today, on this being her final stand. Even if they defeated Magneto, Guin didn't know what was really left for her - she didn't have any plans or ambitions beyond this.

"'Course, it's what I'm good at," Guin said back to Cass in a hushed tone, forcing a smile. She really did wish that her mutation was something that let her punch a little harder - something that she could've used to save her family, to save her father. She tried not to dwell on it, but she knew she was the weakest link of the X-Men. Even Carolina who had a similar power didn't have to worry about someone running around with her body - she just became unconscious. It was better than what Guin did, handing the keys of her body over to some stranger.

Thalia was glad that Ed seemed to have found a way to hide the bodies. Though there was still a little bit of blood on the ground, which would make things a bit obvious that something had happened, but it wasn't a whole lot so it wasn't super noticeable. They didn't have any particular direction that they could go really. Since now they were alone in the hallway again.

She slowly started following along after Jade, hearing the footsteps farther along too, but remained silent as they went along. There were doors lining the hallway on either side of them, meaning they had a few different options of where they could go from there. However now was the sound of someone messing with a doorknob nearby, indicating that someone was going to likely be in the same hallway too.

Mary had just gotten the full plant to grow, and was having the pollen start to fly out into the vents, when the footsteps ended up right outside the door. A moment later, the door burst open, showing three random goons standing in the doorway now. Guin would be able to switch with the first guy through the door, she'd be able to grab him before he could do anything. And luckily for her, it seems like the guy has super strength!

The other two didn't seem to notice anything potentially weird or whatever, and shoved their way into the room. One had telekinesis, and sent Cass flying backwards, straight into a wall. Only slightly injured, didn't do a whole lot of damage. Mary turned her head to see what was going on, she sent vines flying out of her pocket, which then resulted in the one that had thrown Cass to get knocked backwards too.

Carolina would be able to retain control of Avalanche for the time being. Lance shrugged slightly when she suggested the invisibility thing. "Whatever you say, makes sense though," he responded, before there was a slight light around him and Pietro, and they'd both disappear from Carolina's view. "Just keep walking along and we'll be right there behind you..."

They'd be able to make their way up to the floor that they were after. Passing by a few random goons, who didn't notice anything off at all when passing them by. It probably helped a bit that they only could see from their point of view, Avalanche. The group would pass by more then a few people. Hopefully things would be alright for them and their luck would hold up and no one would notice anything off.

"Alright sounds good then." Carolina said as she watched Lance and Pietro disapear from her sight in front of her, she couldn't see them as she made her way up the stairwell again. She looked over at some of the goons that they had walked past, doing a quiet headcount who they were and whatnot. But she didnt see any of them that she'd recongize which she wasnt sure if it was a good thing or not, Carolina was surprised that she was still able to keep control over him.

Carolina continued to explore the area, she hadn't seen the others just yet either and she didn't really hear any fighting either she just wanted to make sure that her sister was still okay. Though she had a feeling that the others would attack Avalanche the moment that they spotted her, which was a possibility that could happen to.

Cassandra looked towards Guin and smiled towards her and nodded, she was glad that her friend agreed to the plan as she looked over her shoulder towards Mary. She watched her do her work as the plant quickly started to grow to it's full height, and started to do it's work she really hoped that the plan actually worked. When she heard the door open, and then a few seconds later she was sent backwards and into the wall. Cassandra let out a slight groan as she slowly started to stand up looking directly at her attacker.

Cassandra stared at the attacker as Mary sent some vines towards one of them, and she quickly charged forward aiming to attack the other goon that was in the room. They needed to take them out before they end up calling for help, or before the others hear the fighting that was starting.

Jade & Guin

The door opened and Guin was quick on the draw, reaching out and making skin-to-skin contact with the first person through the door. Suddenly, the entire world shifted for her, her perspective changing as she was now staring at her own body, seeing the confused person now inside of it. Guin was now at least six feet tall and she could feel her new muscles, along with other new parts. She didn't know this person's name, but she didn't care. They worked for Magneto, they worked for the person who killed her father, so they deserved to die.

Two others came on through the door, one of them attacking Cass. Mary whipped the other one back with some vines. Guin didn't want to ruin the element of surprise by announcing she had switched, so she went and grabbed the one Mary had thrown back. She picked him up as easily as if he were a doll and slammed him down on her knee, aiming to shatter his back. The first blow didn't do the trick, so Guin slammed his back over her knee again, seriously injuring him. "If you haven't figured it out by now, it's me," Guin said, her voice now decidedly masculine. She brought the person down on her knee one last time, breaking his back, and Guin then dropped him down to the ground carelessly.

Meanwhile, Jade was walking down the hallway and listening. There were several doors that they could try, and up ahead to the left she could hear movement from behind one of them, and the sound of a doorknob rattling as someone prepared to leave to enter the hallway. Quickly, she had to make a choice. Did she open a door at random, hoping that it would conveniently be empty so they could avoid whoever this turned out to be? Or did they take advantage of the element of surprise and rush at whoever this person was and kill them? If they opened a door and it turned out to not be an empty room, then that would be at least two people they'd have to fight.

She glanced at Edus and Thalia, before readying her angel blade and creeping forward in the direction of the rattling door. She'd rather not gamble on a fight on multiple fronts, when she could instead of one with just one front. She moved so that way when the door opened, the door would block her from view. Whoever entered the hallway then she could stab in the back and kill once they had moved into the halls.

They continued down the hall. He followed slowly. There were a lot of risks right now. He touched the shield symbol gently. Knowing they might be needing it soon.

Then the door rattled. Jade tensed. She was ready to fight. They hadn't been doing this right. He thought of military men clearing halls one room at a time. They hadn't been doing that. They had no idea what might be behind them. Hopefully, this fight would be over quickly enough that it wouldn't draw attention.

Thalia moved off to the side instantly, waiting to see who all was going to potentially enter the hallway. There were voices on the other side of the door, and a moment later, the door swung open. The first person who stepped into the hallway would immediately get stabbed by Jade, whose attack would succeed entirely, where she'd be able to cause him to fall to the ground easily. Ed would also succeed, being able to form a bubble of sorts around the next person through the door, and the woman instantly started punching at the bubble trying to get free. Which was useful, though there was one more person on the otherside of that person. Who instantly ran into the bubble, and clearly looked a bit annoyed by it.

That last person just phased through the bubble, apparently being able to walk through walls for his power, and didn't seem to care about trying to grab his friend or whatever who was still trapped in the bubble. Thalia instantly swiped at him with her claws, and he hadn't been expecting her to be there. The claws slashed across his face, causing him to stumble a bit and run into the nearby wall. She instantly sent a breath of fire at him to potentially take him down completely, but the guy just phased through it. Resulting in her only scorching the wall and not actually injuring him that time. Well that was annoying in general.

Cass would be able to knock back the other goon that was still up and about that had initially attacked her. She'd be able to knock him into a wall and cause him to fall to the ground, but he was starting to get back up, his nose looked to be bleeding from where he had gotten hit. The one Guin had switched with though was now still able to move about which was going to be a problem. The guy seemed to orientate himself pretty quickly, and figured that he likely wouldn't have been able to take Guin down now that he was stuck in Guin's body as opposed to his own. So instead, he decided to attack someone else in the group.

Mary had just finished sending the pollen through the vent, and still had some in her hand, when she turned around just in time to get slammed into the wall with a bit of a crack as the person ended up sending her into a wall since she hadn't really been able to brace herself or defend against it. She managed to get up off the ground, and she was not thrilled about it. There was a little bit of blood coming from the back of her head, but she didn't seem to notice it, as she instantly used her vines to wrap up the person, so at least Guin's body was out of the way now.

"It's in the vents, will just take some time for it to potentially get through the entire system and start effecting people," Mary said to the other two. The guy who Cass had knocked around a bit instantly sent random objects and tools from around the room flying at her, a few hitting her but not seemingly doing a lot of damage at all, the guy seemed to be a little unsteady on his feet.

Guin though currently would start to not feel the best, at all. Though while Mary had done what she could to ensure that their group was immune to the pollen, she hadn't done much of anything to potentially prevent it from not really working on anyone else when Carolina and her would switch with people. The person whose body she was controlling was clearly not immune and not doing too well from it, since when Mary had gotten knocked over some of the pollen from her hands had ended up flying upwards into the room now.

Carolina would be perfectly fine still for the moment, which was a good thing to say the least. Though they didn't have any idea where upstairs the other two split off groups had gone, which meant that for the moment they seemed to be on their own. There didn't seem to be any sort of trouble that the group was running into for the time being though, since anyone they walked by thought that there was only Avalanche in the hall.

Every so often, Carolina would see a little ball of light seemingly appear out of nowhere. Though she would be able to figure that it was likely Lance creating something to let her know that they were still there, just in case they did run into any trouble. The hall they entered had several doors along either side, so who knew where they should go first.

Carolina looked over her shoulder occasionally seeing the tiny flash of light every so often, she was glad that Lance was showing her that the two of them were still close by which was a good thing then. She didnt really want to get separated and wonder aimlessly through the entire building. She didnt even know how long she would be able to maintain control over Avalanche's body either but things seemed to be holding for the time being which was good then.

Carolina looked at the set of doors nearby and sighed slightly before going through one of them, hoping that she'd be able to meet up with the others. She continued to remain as alert as possible just in case someone decided to walk up to her as Avalanche, Lance and Pietro were quiet which was also good to at least.

Cassandra Reed

Cassandra stared down at her attacker after she had knocked him down onto the floor, as she got ready to fight him again her attention turned towards Mary briefly as she mentioned that the pollen was now in the air ventilation system. They just needed to wait for the pollen to spread and take effect throughout the entire building. Cass' attention turned towards the big guy who grabbed one of his friends and slammed him down on his knee a few times at least they mentioned that they were Guin which was good then that she had managed to shift.

Cass then turned her attention towards her attacker as they attacked Mary she then charged forward trying to knock the guy out as quickly as possible she didnt want any of them to alert the others that they were in the building.

Jade & Guin

The moment the door opened, Jade jumped out from behind and stabbed the poor soul, killing them instantly. The angel blade was probably overkill in this situation, but she didn't care. It had kept her alive in Altsoba, it would keep her alive here. Edus encapsulated the second person into a bubble, and the last one Thalia slashed at with her claws. She didn't manage to kill him however, so Jade took the opportunity and stabbed him with her dagger, killing the man instantly.

"Do you mind? She's loud," Jade said quietly, looking at Edus and his bubbled prisoner. Any moment now, more people could be coming. If Edus couldn't deal with her, then Jade would. She didn't know if her blade could penetrate Edus' bubble, but she imagined that it might. Magic didn't always hold up well against blades meant to kill angelic beings.

Meanwhile, Guin was feeling nauseous. She was still inside the other body, the one that fortunately was gifted with super strength, but unfortunately seemed to be lacking a healing factor. "Ugh... I'd say it's working, the pollen," she complained. Her actual body was thankfully restrained at the moment with Mary's vines, something that was better happening late than never. Of course, Guin didn't have much of an idea for how long she'd be able to maintain the switch, what with this pollen wreaking havoc on this body.

She knew that she ought to help Cass out, but she also felt it was probably best to focus on maintaining the switch, and she didn't know if she could fight and do that. All she really felt up to at the moment was probably vomiting. "Mary this sucks so much..."

Ed nodded and started to shrink the bubble around her. He could tell he was hesitant to do it. Before coming to New York, he would never do this. Never had he considered killing someone like this. First, the man earlier and now this woman. Recentering, the bubble started to shrink around her.

It shrank more. The bubble was crushing her now. He did not like killing this way. The bubble around the heart was better. It would kill quickly. "Prepare yourself. I'm going to release her."

Carolina and them wouldn't exactly find the rest of the group at all. However, they will encounter someone else, someone who was they would easily recognize. That person was none other then Mastermind, who looked at Carolina with a slight smile. "Well hello there," he said. The area around them though was strange, and suddenly, the three of them would appear to be in another room, one that didn't seem to have any doors or anything to let them out.

"Uh... Okay, what's going on?" Lance asked, right before dropping the illusion, "No offense, recognize the guy, not sure what his powers are..."

"This is an illusion, but no matter what you do unless we get him to be distracted, we're going to have a hell of a time trying to get out."

"Well, if it's an illusion that appears like it, couldn't you technically just, phase through the wall to try and knock him out?"

"I mean, yeah, but also I have no idea who could be on the other side, since how much you want to bet he's going to either start trying to kill us in this little box or go get other people to do that for him?"

"...Kind of a good point."

Thalia looked at Ed when he was talking about releasing her, and since she might as well kill the person or something to make things easier, her claws appeared on her hand, covered a bit in shimmering scales, and she nodded her head at him. "Do it..." she muttered under her breath. The instant Ed released the bubble, she ended up ripping out their throat, and wiping the blood from it on her pant leg.

"...Ok, well now what?" she asked the other two, before suddenly fire seemed to light up the entire hallway. Walls of flames flying up and seemingly swarming up and down the wall and swirling around on the ceiling too. At the end of the hallway laughing was none other then Pyro, who seemed to be working on putting more fire into the area, and clearly trying to burn them all at the stake or something.

"Uhhh... Okay, getting a little warm in here..." Thalia said, though her entire body was shimmering with scales, clearly trying to protect her from the fire surrounding them. Both Jade and Ed would also start to feel the heat, and it was insanely warm. A few minor burns would start appearing on both of their bodies (and starting to on Thalia's too just barely) and they'd start getting a lot worse if they didn't do something soon to stop it.

"Well sorry didn't want to have to take into account you and Carolina jumping bodies constantly or whatever in order to make essentially your minds immune, that's practically impossible without a few weeks notice," Mary responded sarcastically to Guin with an eye roll. Now was not the time to complain about that sort of thing, especially since it seemed like the spores were working, at least the spores she had inadvertently released directly into the air in their current room.

Cass would be able to knock out the remaining opponent, leaving them kind of surrounded by a few knocked out bodies, not counting the one that Guin was currently controlling. "Think you want to keep a hold of the switch? Or we knock the guy out and you switch back or something?" she then asked as she walked more over to where the others currently were.

Of course, no rest for the weary, or time to get an answer to that question, as suddenly a very familiar figure appeared now in the doorway. That person being Wanda Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch. Red energy filled the air, bits of metal started swirling near her (very reminiscent of her father really), before she let them fly directly at the group, really anyone in the room that was still moving, not caring who she hit with it.

Mary instantly put up a wall of plant life, vines shooting from her pockets, however the wall wasn't constructed entirely correctly due to the obvious time constraint. Bits of metal broke through the wall, and for the most part it didn't seem to do much. The metal bounced off of Cass' skin, Guin's actual body wasn't injured at all, and the body Guin currently was inhabiting only got a shard of metal in the leg, pretty good considering that it was a very large wall of projectiles that had been heading their way.

However, it didn't end well for everyone. As there was a rather large shard of metal, currently sticking out of Mary's chest, right where her heart was. She looked at the shard for a moment, "Well that hurt..." was all she said, before crumpling to the ground, and not moving anymore.

Carolina Reed

Location: New York City, Madison Square Garden
Skills: Astral Projection, Possession

Carolina continued up the stairs, she didn't see any of their allies yet either which was a really bad thing then, she wished that they had some sort of radio on them or a telepath to keep in contact with them all. When she bumped into someone she recognized as Mastermind, but before she could do anything they were transported to a different room. She looked over to Pietro and Lance as he dropped his illusion thing.

"So basically a mind prison or something great." Carolina said as she thought for a moment, thinking of dropping her body and trying to stop him with her normal body. "Well we have to figure something out, or we let this guy kill us where we are." Carolina said looking between Lance and Pietro. "Any ideas or suggestions?" She asked the two of them as she tried to think of a way to.

Cassandra Reed

Location: Madison Square Garden, New York City
Skills: Hand to Hand Combat

Cassandra looked down at the person that she managed to knock out, her attention turned towards Mary and Guin. "Lets keep going then." She said, after taking out the group they needed to continue with the way. She headed out of the little room that they were in, just as she did however they came face to face with Scarlet Witch herself. Bits of metal started to fly around her, and they were sent flying straight at the group. Feeling some of the shards hitting her skin just as Mary brought up the plant well to cover them.

When Cass turned she saw a metal shard sticking out of Mary's chest, just as she fell to the ground, she silently cursed to herself. "Our job is done, switch back and try and find the others i'll try and hold her off, i'll catch up." Cassandra told Guin she told her, hoping that she'd listen to her order. She just needed to last long enough for Mary's pollen thing to work.

Jade & Guin

Guin wished the last thing she had said to Mary hadn't been a sarcastic complaint. She had already lost her family, and the X-Men had become a new family to her. The tragic thing was she didn't doubt what her eyes saw as the Scarlet Witch appeared, and evoked the powers of her detestable father, tearing Mary apart with metal. No, everything had been a nightmare since that day back in 2019 - violent delights would have violent ends. Her loved ones would die, over and over again. Guin was silent, staring at Mary's body in shock, and she only stirred once Cass gave her a direct order. Guin nodded, feeling the aching and pains in her borrowed body, and she switched back. The asshole she had switched with collapsed to the ground. "Okay," Guin told Cass with a nod, before she sprinted for the door.

She had been lucky that the vines holding her body had loosened, so it hadn't been too hard to get free. She was doubly lucky that when Wanda sent something flying after her as she ran, it missed. Guin blinked back tears - tears for Mary, and tears for Cass, as she was terrified she had just left her friend behind to die. She kept on running, hoping to run into someone, but she didn't. Instead, she ended up opening the door and running into what looked like a biology lab.

Her heart skipped a beat, as a melancholic hope came over her. Maybe this was where Magneto would be keeping any notes on the virus - maybe here would be a way to stop it. Mary had died. Her family had died. Maybe they could save a few more people. But she didn't have much time. Guin grabbed the notebook she had found, flipping through it to see the notes were in some sort of gibberish code. It'd be too hard to get it to people outside of the city now though, so the best she could do would be to try to keep it safe, and try to find the others.

Meanwhile, Jade found herself in a rather annoyingly deadly situation. Thalia had dealt with the person Ed had immobilized, but now they had another challenger coming at them. He had blonde hair, a cocky grin, and an oversized flamethrower strapped onto him. She noted the way he triggered the flamethrower to produce the flames, and then manipulated them. She gritted her teeth and clenched her fist as the flames heated up the hallway and burns popped into existence on her skin.

"I'm going to disable the flamethrower. Edus, do what you can to slow him down. Thalia, I'd recommend going in for a kill shot," Jade said, a bit more vindictive than normal, and she was thankful that her gas mask wasn't falling to pieces from the heat. She judged the angle and threw her angel blade, the dagger hitting the flamethrower and damaging it, although it didn't cut off the flame supply completely.

Edus Penior

Skill: Magic

Ed had a trick that might work. The flames curled up the walls. The fire was licking at them. The heat was causing pain Ed didn't think he could ignore for long. But he could do something. He sent a barrage of force blasts down the hall.

They pounded into Pyro, knocking him backward. The flamethrower stopped producing more fire. It was too late, though. The hallway was engulfed in flames. He had no idea if Thalia could make it down the hallway to Pyro. Did they have a way out? Was the building going to go down? If they were lucky, it might take Magneto out. He doubted it would.
