I like to imagine it's some horrendous amalgamation of various cultures. for the broad strokes, probably things Takoyaki and Yakisoba, tacos and horchata, doughnuts and pretzels, caramel apples, corndogs, etc.

I suppose a fitting one for New Hope specifically, unique to the town I mean, would be something Nordic like Prinskorv [fried sausages] or Skillingsboller [Cinnamon Rolls] due to the influence of the Hoar family in the current age.

I got swept up reading poetry. Expect the later estimate of time for my post, tomorrow evening.

As of right now, I do not believe any scenes are actively hanging on my posting; under this assumption I will forgo my full-cast address that I did in the last scene transition and will allow you all to react yourselves into the upcoming scene as you wish, but be aware that this is one of those attendance-is-mandatory scenarios for pushing the roleplay forward. Once the ball is rolling on these events it will keep rolling until the prologue ends. I'll provide wiggle room in reactions and methodology for the how-and-what, but the end result of my next post will be everyone being yeeted into magical fairy land.

I really enjoy writing and do not expect/require any particular standard of length from anyone, for the record. I put this thing in the Casual section for a reason and that was just to have fun with people. This is quirk of me being me, not any sort of standard for the roleplay.

I doubt anyone has an issue except me brown is taller than ambrose!!11!1. Fantastic job, as ever.

One question though, are we writing our character's physical change or are you? If we are, what are the parameters? Does it have to be animalistic? :)

@Fading Memory out of interest, which of the head families are currently in charge of the Moore clinic? I'm not sure I got an answer to that, but I'm certain it would shape Rowan's opinion on the founding families.

Nice post by the way. For the characters being shifted to another world, the more detail the better. So I like the longer post (haven't read it yet though)

You Guys^TM are handling that. The parameters are ‘Largely cosmetic, with minor ‘mechanical’ benefits unless otherwise discussed’. Like Freyja will undoubtedly be using her horns as a weapon at some point, and having hooves is an all around perk. Odaya, on the other hand, just looks all feathery and crowlike. In my previous examples I mentioned things like clockwork limbs or wings to glide with, but not necessarily outright fly with. Greater physical manifestations may occur post time skip, but my original plan for them was a Persona 5 Style ‘This Is My True Self’. Animalism was just my go-to for those three for symbolic purposes, but it could be anything that otherwise would have been fantastic ‘racial features’ like Elfin features, or orcish, or being taller and purple, or whatever you think a fantastic portrayal of the character’s ‘true self’ would be.

The Fontaines have largely retreated from politicking and town affairs, but do still attend the town meetings and lend their advice and vote- they just don’t deal with the day to day nonsense. So they wouldn’t be the ones.

That leaves Hoar and Bilica to primarily squabble over it. The current climate favors the Hoars, so they’re most likely the ones handling its affairs.
