Ok, I think we've lost Birdboy for now. I'm going to get to work on the next DM post. While I do that, I'd like your opinion on this approach to how long an enemy lasts in a fight.

Ok, I think we've lost Birdboy for now. I'm going to get to work on the next DM post. While I do that, I'd like your opinion on this approach to how long an enemy lasts in a fight.


That approach to how long an enemy lasts? Seems reasonable…

Now that I think about it, we’ve lost Plasm for a long time now, haven’t we…
Don’t we have a wait list of players who wanted to join in this game as well?

I use this approach sometimes when I DM. It's pretty reasonable as long as the fights aren't too short or too long, sometimes people are just hella unlucky for an entire fight, I have been there. XD So as long as you think you can balance it in a fun way then I am all for it. ^-^

We have lost Plasm too, I can't remember if they said they were out or not though, they have been MIA for 7 months accourding to the guild. I think we did have some people who were interested but I would hold off on replacing Rala for a few more days, maybe a week, just in case. And if nobody joins the Genasi gang it shall be :P

@rush99999 Sorry, life had been getting to me, I think I might drop out of this roleplay. You guys where all great and I hope to see you all finish this rp! I just don't have the energy to keep up and I have lost my muse for Rala. I apologize for holding up the roleplay.

In regards to the clip you shared, I think that's reasonable depending on the situation. It keeps the boss from getting blasted in two rounds of combat due to bad rolls and let's the players all do their thing. I would probably use it for more narrative play.

Sorry it took me so long to respond to this. I agree with everyone else, I think it's a good approach for some fights, though probably not all. I'm still fairly newish to DnD tho *shrugs*

@XxFellsingxX Well you've been playing for nearly a year on here as Witchlight has been up for that long already. Honestly I didn't think it's been running that long already. By the way you've been playing I've figured you were not really all the new to DnD.

Heck this one is nearly a year old now that I look at the dates.

Rolled a 5 for Jørmund so not much better.

By the way after taking that 11 damage Jørmund is looking pretty rough. I figure Aura can see it better through Hawk than Cascade and Flicker can.

Edit:@rush99999 Are we going with each sqaure being 5ft or are we adding some distance to the squares. Seems like a pretty small battle field if we are going with the classic 5ft square. Not that I am complaining, just means that the others can see Jormund and Aura doesn't have to let them know.

Each square is indeed 5 feet. Also, there is more to the battlefield than what is shown on the map. I simply decided just to focus on the part that the boss fight is taking place in.

Now that everyone has rolled, here is the Initiative Order:
Battlefield: 20
Cascade: 18
Aura: 17
Ervdul: 9
Yosef: 8
Jørmund: 5
Flicker: 3

Let me make a few edits to my latest post and then it will be Cascade and Aura's turns.
