Nice, we're started ~

I'll soon post a prologue for Shiri that won't call for any interaction with other players yet. We should discuss OOC where and how our characters come together. Perhaps they can gather in pairs or small groups before we have a full group reunion.

@Hyyde322 I don't know how it works but I think you can set the join status to 'full' instead of 'apply'.

Seconded, now we have a full roster, I was also going to make a more in depth character relations section and add that to my sheet as well. @Hyyde322 Are you still planning to play as a party member yourself? A barbarian I think you mentioned?

EDIT: oh wait nevermind, missed that post in the CHAR tab, we good.

I added Naivara and Yadira to my relationships section too. Still mulling on Crow and Alice.

Seems like we're starting in Gwangju, anyone have a good reason for meeting there? Maybe we got an old base here or a tavern everyone used to go to

I don't think the post was implying we're in Gwangju. It's only been three days since the events of our character sheets, so for a number of characters it wouldn't even be possible to get Gwangju that quickly.

Not sure how we're even going to have everyone get in touch right now, since they're all scattered and out of contact. Gideon is a semi-public figure at least, so if anyone wants to head his direction that's fine with me.

Crap, I didn't even think about how we're going to meet and we're not starting in Gwangju. I think I'll go with quartz's idea, maybe we can all pick a city and happen to meet there by chance in small groups at first and then work out how we all meet up. Also this us my first time GMing, so thank you guys for bearing with me

We can also say that our characters sent letters to each other in order to meet somewhere, since I assume the world has a courier system. If magical messages are in use in the setting, those could also be used as an alternative.

If we still want to do the group idea, it can operate off of a similar principle, but for characters closer to particular cities, since getting several people together who have practically scattered across the world is kind of difficult.

Imo it doesn't make as much sense if it's by coincidence for everyone, but having one or two of them so happen to be there still can work. So for the characters who would be difficult to reach through letter, that sort of thing can work.

Also, I'll try to update Alice's relationship with the other members when I get a chance. I just haven't gotten an opportunity for it yet.

At the moment, Shiri is in Nagahoro, Abraham is in the Nomadic Lands, and I’d imagine the others are spread out across Casperus. Or maybe Crow is in the Nomadic Lands too.

Even though Casperus, Nagahoro, and Tjenbun seem to be Fantasy Europe, Asia, and Africa, I assume they aren’t that far apart, more like three big countries on the same continent. Casperus is in the west, Nagahoro in the east, and Tjenbun assumedly in the south. I don’t know where the Nomadic Lands and Trai Spia are geographically.

If we assert that a part of the Nomadic Lands separates Casperus and Nagahoro, Shiri and Abraham might meet each other on the way to Casperus. Then they can be the last to arrive in Bradena after the others have gathered there. I’d like for Shiri and Gideon to only be reunited once the rest of the group is also complete, so they don’t get the privacy to discuss their awkward situation right away.

after much thought, I will use everyone's ideas. Here's how it'll go, one of us has sent a letter to everyone regarding what happened (doesn't matter who and I will fix it in post) and we will meet up in small groups ultimately meeting up in Bradena and go from there, sound good? also yes quartz that's the gist of it, I had planned to add more lands but after losing all the work I did twice, I said screw it. I had way more to add, and lost every bit of what I originally planned and no I did not write it down

A bit late to the banter, but in my experience it's always best to avoid splitting the party until the story is moving a bit (that seems to be the general take though, so just chiming in).

I'm basically down to write Naivara anywhere.

Will start thinking/writing party relationship stuff in a hot sec.

In regards to starting locations, Eskel is somewhere out in the remote Casperus countryside, shut up in his tower like a proper wizard. But that said he is highly mobile should the need arise, I did venture in my C.S that he's capable to casting teleportation magic. Could be used to gather the more distant party members? As long as the GM approves of course.

ALSO!

I have completed my relationships info, going to post here in the OOC first to give everyone a chance to offer feedback or request changes before I add it to my sheet.

It'd probably be hard to get a letter to a specific person in the nomadic lands so I'll get Abraham to come with someone else. Probably Alice because they has a fixed address he can actually get to.

I never really specified where Gideon had set himself up or where the adventurers guild was located, but I think it would make sense for it to be in Bradena. Casperus was likely his home nation and the city is obviously where he met everyone else, so I think he would have returned there after everything happened.

We could say that he was the one to send out the letters to everyone else to come and reunite back where it all first started. He can use some of the adventurers from his guild to track down the people who are a little more out of the way or whose locations are less known; giving the letter to a party heading out to the nomadic lands and asking them to keep an eye out for an Orc ranger would probably work better than using a courier.

If everyone is okay with that then people can come find him at their leisure, either heading straight to him or meeting up with each other in the city before going to him last.

Yeah this works for me, although personally I think Eskel might head to Naivara first before anyone else? He is primarily concerned that the spells of banishment/sealing they cast on the defeated eldrict dragon may have somehow be broken. He's going to want to meet the person who likely cast those spells with him. If of course @Abstract Proxy is down for that?

Also I'm going to get working on a solo intro kinda post.

Alice's office location is quite stable, since that sort of work has always been their primary focus. Abraham could rely on them the most for being still found in the same location. They come from Casperus, but they would still live in their home town in order to stay in contact range with their family. The wood elf side of Alice's family travelled out of the nomadic lands and into Casperus, settling down in whatever medium-large sized town was the closet to them, so it's also less of a trip to take.

I like this idea the most for getting the party together as a whole. They might have sought each other out as an individual basis, but Gideon's ultimately what brings them all together, since he has the resources to eventually get into contact with everyone.

I like that choice for a dynamic between the two! They do have a lot of similarities, after all. I do think Alice would figure out the arrogance is a front, but I don't think during the adventure they would have pitted him that much, since Alice was considerably colder prior to the development they gained over the adventure. They might have eventually started to feel sorry for him as things went on.

After everything that happened with Octavia, Alice pities him a lot over the matter. They don't like how others in general have treated her memory, as they view the praise as a dangerous redaction of history, but they also understand the fact grief is the main driver for a lot of their mates.

Alice doesn't really know how to react to the grief people have been experiencing, since Octavia's death comparatively impacted them less, so it could be an explanation as to why they eventually gained some amount of distance.

Def down, it seems like a logical meeting, I'd imagine Naivara would have a similar first reaction to check on the spells at work or seek out Eskel for a arcane chat.

I dig what everyone has written for relationships so far, will work on my relationship tab, and offer some comments (nothing serious, it's all praise, lol).

Will probably make my first post soon! As with the initial idea, Crow will either visit their parents', Peter's, or Octavia's grave in it(whichever makes more sense), and then will come to Bredana either in an automaton-driven carriage(on the off chance that Crow helped the owners of the carriage create non-sentient, automaton horses so real horses could rest/not be abused, and now, they've decided to return the favor), or through some artificer shit, idk, lol.

Also, a quick clarification: Crow's, well, automaton crow(Peter) did die, but less in the way of his body and mind having been destroyed, but more in the way that while Crow was able to gather the heavily burnt, metal pieces and restore his body, his mind is still, to this day, very much lost. Crow still keeps Peter's body around, though, because making another "voice" is very tedious and time consuming, and Crow, being the workaholic helper they are, doesn't have much time nor energy to focus on making one now(that, and they don't want to replace Peter with another automaton/are scared that the new one would also become sentient due to an accident Crow would make while sleep deprived or something). That's why I'm debating on Crow visiting Peter's honorary grave; while his body is functional and very much doing its job, without his mind, he's basically a shell of his former self, and as far as Crow knows, what made Peter himself is now lost forever.

((Sorry for the wall of text; I just saw in Eskel's relationships hider that he noted Peter "was destroyed", and I decided to come in and say, "well, aCTUALLY-" xD))

But, anyway, back on a lighter note: Do you guys think that the whole party has seen Crow outside of their plague doctor outfit, or just a few of them/no one at all?
