If you are a fan of tokusatsu media, you could easily pick Rina Saitou out from a crowd.

Standing at 5'2'', Rina has an athletic build and frame, having wanted to stay in shape for acting purposes. Her hair is an auburn brown that is typically cut short and more often than not held up in a reverse ponytail. On the other hand, her irises, while also brown, are of a darker brown color not unlike that of tree bark.

Rina's choice of attire tends to range from "casual" hoodies and shorts to "professional" blazers and dresses. She dislikes flaunting her wealth, and tries to avoid anything that might be considered "rich" and "fancy", such as expensive jewelry.

Rina is more often than not a sociable person. Or, well, was.

Not the type to anger often, Rina had kept a friendly appearance both online and in real life. She tried to keep herself open to most things, even if they seemed menial to her. If someone stopped Rina on the street for a picture or perhaps an autograph, she would've been be all for it if time allowed her to do so. Making a fan's day just a bit brighter wouldn't hurt, after all, so why not oblige them in their request?

In recent months, however, this optimistic outlook on life has been swapped with one more distant. Cautious, even. Her positive attitude has been shattered upon the scandal she has found herself entangled in, and Rina is unsure how to proceed. Anyone might be able to notice hesitancy in her actions, and a desire to crawl into her shell if they talked to her. Being involved in a filming accident that nearly took one's life and later being blamed for said accident has clearly taken a toll on Rina, and it is unknown if she'll ever be able to return to her upbeat self again.

Born in a rural, no-name town within Hokkaido, Japan, Rina never expected to make it big.

As her hometown had a large elderly population, with most of the youth having already left for greener pastures, Rina grew up without many friends of her own. Most days were spent wandering the rural countryside and listening to the elderly give her "life advice" as she assisted them in daily tasks. Such factors would ultimately lead to Rina developing her own sense of wanderlust, yearning to leave the clutches of her hometown and be free to do whatever she put her mind to.

Unbeknownst to Rina, freedom comes in mysterious ways. Coming across an acting ad in Sapporo, Rina decided to take a stab at it. After all, what was the worst that could happen? She had no experience, so the worst they could say was no.

While she had no actual experience in acting, however, the audition judges did believe that she had talent as Rina would later find out upon receiving feedback from her audition. Although in the end they ultimately decided to go with another actress, a talent agent by the name of Yoichi Suda offered to take her under his wing. Safe to say, she decided to accept his offer, in turn introducing Rina to the grand and expansive world of tokusatsu.

The next several years were spent on the big stage, where Rina preformed a number of toku roles for TV. From lesser known B-type tokusatsu shows to the big three (Super Sentai, Kamen Rider and Ultraman), Rina had gained quite the following of fans from her performances. She had become a toku idol, and even somehow managed to single-handily bring forth the rebirth of her hometown as fans flocked to it in droves as "toku tourists".

All and all, life seemed to be great for Rina. She had everything she could possibly want, and then some. But then, tragedy struck.

On the set of one of her more recent shoots, a dangerous accident had occurred as Rina was in the middle of filming a scene with one of her co-actors. The pyrotechnics had misfired, injuring her co-actor severely. Rina, on the other hand, was lucky to escape the unexpected explosion with only a few singed hairs.

Filming for the series was indefinitely paused as the production company suddenly found itself entangled in a costly lawsuit brought upon by the actor and their family. Following the incident, Rina had tried to make a public apology notice to her fans, along with her wishes that her co-actor would be able to recover from their injuries on her social medias. Most had been supportive of her post, but unknown to Rina, she had gained a few haters and trolls over the years, who promptly began spreading fake rumors that Rina had been responsible for the accident from within the shadows of online message boards.

To Rina's dismay and grief, her posts had unknowingly opened Pandora's box. Everywhere Rina looked, she found people saying terrible things about her; that she had tried to kill someone. It left Rina depressed, and she wanted to run away from it all.

So, that was exactly what Rina did.

Once she had been cleared from the on-going investigation, Rina deactivated her social medias and filed for stress leave, taking off to an island far, far away from her troubles. Perhaps going to a fancy, expensive resort wasn't the best look for her at the time being, but Rina desperately needed a break; one where she wasn't being scrutinized upon her every move for something that had been completely out of her control. Carabo Island, Rina believed, could offer her that opportunity.

Standing at a reasonable five foot five, Delaney has long blonde hair that falls to her mid-back. She has piercing blue eyes that off set her tanned skin. Her body is slim and toned, not overly athletic but definitely works out to maintain her figure. She is usually always dressed in comfortable clothing, yet will always splurge on a dress if it's a special occasion.

Delaney is always the first to laugh at a joke, or make one to calm a tense situation. She is only truly serious when it comes to her work, but even then she's seen making hand balloons out of gloves for the children. Making friends comes easy to her as she is very easy-going and sociable. She loves a good time and enjoys her tequila shots, usually partying til the wee hours of the morning when she isn't on call. As her mother's side is Italian, Delaney can be loud, obnoxious, and always speaks with her hands. As her job demands it, she is always the calm in the storm and can take on a leadership role when necessary.

Growing up in the pacific Northwest, Delaney is the only child to Emme and Grant Barlowe. She grew up in a relatively small town that hardly ever saw a sunny day. Her parents were well off, her mother being a Chemistry professor at the local community college and her father a beloved Pediatrician. Delaney did not want for anything and just flowed through life without a care in the world.

Everything changed when she was fifteen years old. Her adored father was killed in a drunk driving accident and life seemed to fall apart at the seams. Her mother never recovered from the loss and had a mental breakdown, leaving Delaney to move in with her party hungry, twenty one year old aunt Sadie. The two had to learn how to grow up together and it often found Delaney doing odd side jobs to help her aunt pay for bills.

Unbeknownst to her, at the age of eighteen Delaney was awarded a trust-fund that her parents had created for her college education. She quickly decided to go to medical school and after her preliminaries was accepted into Stanford Medical. After completing her schooling she was accepted into residency at Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. There is where she stayed on and accepted a prestigious role in their emergency department.

Rhys is 6.3 ft tall and well-built. He does not look like a bodybuilder, but his taekwondo and climbing left his muscles well-defined. He had an accident that left him hospitalized for a while, and he's slowly rebuilding now. There are two noticeable deep scars on his left arm. One on his bicep, the other on his shoulder. Both resulting from the accident and the subsequent surgeries. This whole body is littered with tiny scars from either his job or his sports. He often rolls his bad shoulder, and sometimes loses strength in his left arm because of it. He has a tattoo of a willow, for his sister, Willow.

He likes dressing up but is usually found in jeans or chino pants and basic t-shirts or button-ups. Owns an obscene amount of sweatpants and workout clothes.

Rhys is a bit.. cocky. He's known as a ladies man and while he himself doesn't agree nor like the blatant disrespect around that term, he's also not one to correct people. Let them think what they think about him. If they would give him a chance though, they would find a thoughtful and kind man. One's who up for a good time. Generally, he's laid back, likes to be around friends, likes to laugh, have a beer, have fun. Doesn't like spending time alone. His work-ethic is great, and both in his 9-5 and his part-time job as a stunt-double, he is diligent and meticulous. As he with his sports. When climbing, you need good communication, and leadership. Being unserious there could cost someone greatly. So, it allows him to find the balance on when he can joke around with a beer in his hand, or when he needs a clear mind and sharp deduction skills.

He's always looking for the next thrill, but he's a softie for his mum and little sister. He would slap your ass, but ask permission first.

While generally optimistic, his work accident and subsequent recovery time and the pain that comes with, sometimes leave him as a bit of a grouch when the pain bothers him. It's not a topic he likes to discuss much, either, and he'll generally joke it away by telling people that they 'should've seen the other guy'.

Rhys was tough shit. Until he wasn't. He had never been the teacher's pet or a student that caught the attention of his teachers. Or well, he did, but not in the ways a parent would be proud about. He had normal grades, did what he was told (generally), and was a good brother to his younger sister; Willow. But, without any real ambition, Rhys kind of went through life trying to find what would make him tick. He didn't have a career path set out for him since he was a boy, nothing spoke to him when he was going to job fairs, and no degree sounded exciting enough to go for. One thing was for sure though; he excelled at everything physical.

It started young, when Rhys was hard to get back inside once he was out there running, playing, being on his bike, and climbing trees. Her parents tried to negate the more dangerous stuff by putting him in sports; basketball, taekwondo, and climbing. Anything to keep the boy from running circles in his room, his hands itching for something to do. The latter sport intrigued him the most, and all throughout high school and college, Rhys was often found in climbing halls, or scaling cliffs with his friend Axel. His major was also to no one's surprise; physical. Physical Therapy, that is. He was smart enough for it, and Rhys finally straightened out a bit. And while he dropped basketball, he continued Taekwondo and climbing, and added a new sport; mountain biking. Anything for the thrill, really, though that particular hobby got him an unexpected side gig; stunt-double. He was originally drafted for his looks and skill, but his name quickly became a known one. While he wasn't famous, and liked to keep it that way, he was known for doing his work well and diligently. His normal 9-5 had to make more room for being paid to jump through a window made out of sugar, or tumbling down stairs or getting beat up by some hot-shot actor. Despite being injured many times, Rhys had found what made him tick.

Until it nearly cost him everything. On one particular shooting, there had already been a weird feeling in Rhys's chest, something was off. But nothing could have prepared him for the disaster that followed. While tumbling off a building, two safety features failed. One being the lined that would soften his fall, and two being the cushion at the bottom. The first broke, the second deflated too fast, making Rhys landing a hard one. He broke multiple ribs in his body, got a concussion, and had to undergo several surgeries. While injuries are a given in this profession, the negligence on set had been clear. So clear, the judged ruled in his favour and granted him a massive payout for the damages.

A smidge of that payout was now going to a vacation in Carabo. Willow pushed him to go, to relax, to warm up his now healed bones. Rhys didn't have the heart to tell her no, nor that he was planning on enjoying the more thrilling things of the island as opposed to lazying around in the sun. He needed to feel some thrill again. His recovery was long, and recovery is a big word.

At five-foot-eight and with access to a personal trainer, Dave has done everything to maximize his appearance for the good of his career. The last few years have taken a turn of sorts, with him seeming to stop caring about his carefully crafted image, but he hasn’t let himself go either. A blue-eyed brunette who to some is the biggest thing in country and pop music since Garth and Kenny isn’t a bad look to have for sure.

“All depends on what side of bed Dave woke up on today.” a friend once remarked in relation to this very issue.

Dave is temperamental, moody. Sometimes described as high maintenance–the kind of pop star that makes people blast them on social media for having problems respecting the people who got him to where he is. His defenders will probably say anyone with a bad experience asked for it or caught him on a bad day. Perhaps both sides have some nuggets of truth at the baseline.

Ultimately, Dave’s been unhappy for a long time. Most of his success came when he moved away from his earnest songwriting and to blase, empty-headed pop music. Pair that with a generational addiction to addictive substances (particularly of the Jim Beam variety) and a very internal war between self and demons you have a hotbed of a temperamental, self-entitled, unfulfilled, and lonely man. Even he admits he needs to get back to the person he was, and not the person he’s been constructed to be by the big labels and important Hollywood producers. How can he live up to be a role model for anybody if he feels nothing and has nothing? It’s a question he ponders nightly and at the bottom of a bottle.

David Earl MacKeown had a rough childhood in a town just north of Oklahoma City.


When he finally got free, he pushed himself to Nashville, hustling and hoping that one day his dream of hitting the lights of the big stage would become real.

Perhaps it happened a little faster than he could handle. Before the age of 25 he had multiple hits and attention from a big, proper music label. It would be that label that took him to greater heights for a decade plus, though it would come with its own costs. His songwriting took a backseat to a team of writers, his musicality became what he found banal–all while he struggled with addiction, relationship hurdles, and spending his time between Nashville and Hollywood. In his thirties, with strings of top ten smash hits for years and a popular stint as a judge on a singing competition, the midlife crisis finally came for him and probably a bit more violently than it came for others.

His son’s death. The subsequent divorce. A few things. A social media episode. The label deciding not to renew his contract; all of it came as it did and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get some R&R and rethink what his life meant and how he could pick up the pieces moving forward. The world sees him as some sort of diva, a trainwreck to encourage, a sellout, a star. Not often that the world sees him for what he’s going through. But touring independently has given him something to think about.

Perhaps he should’ve picked a different vacation spot.

For better or worse, Jojo sticks out like a sore thumb due to a mixture of her "crazy ass genetics" and her own doing. Probably the first thing that people notice about Jojo is her height, she's just tall standing at six-foot even and very lanky and well-built. The girl hits the gym a lot because she has lots of muscle definition around her arms and legs and great abs. This is all because of a long life of athletism and working hard for the results she wants (oh yeah and genetics. Never forget the genetics). Not very curvy though, she's flat on both ends - she got a little butt due to squats but that's about it. This gives her a somewhat masculine aura that she hates but she knows she's at the stage of her life where she can't do anything about it. What doesn't help is her square jaw and sharp facial features (also gotten from her mother).

Next is her dreads.... she has a lot of hair due to those genetics and she has it twisted into dreadlocks that she dyes a forest green. She usually lets them hang but she ties it into a bun if she fights. Now Jojo is African-American with roots in West Africa and the Caribbean - her mother being half-Bermudian. She has brownish skin but wishes that she was a bit darker but the rest of her facial features are consistent with African-Americans and whatnot. Due to a lifetime of being a wild child, she has a bunch of different scars from getting hurt as a kid, some fights, and burning herself cooking.

In terms of attire, Jojo isn't exactly the flashiest dresser.... sure, she'll put on a dress on the right occasion but those instances are few and in between. She dresses for comfort 75% of the time and what's comfortable for her is gym clothes. Tight clothing such as bike shorts (that go a very short range), leggings, tank tops, athletic tees, sports bras, and so forth. It's to the point wonder if she lives in the gym! Jojo doesn't like jeans so you'd be lucky to see her in some but she does wear the occasional skirt (with bike shorts underneath). Now dressing to show out isn't her forte but expect her to whip out the big-name sports names like Nike, Adidas, and Kappa and even wear a dress if you got her in a good enough mood!

Oh yeah, and she loves to dress green.

A very chill and laid-back person, Jojo doesn't get super worked up over the little things anymore and focuses solely on the bigger picture. That bigger picture is her legacy... will she be able to reach fame or will she just be another footstep for someone else. A hard worker by nature; Jojo finds herself more at home working towards one of her many goals or just at the gym. However, she's very personable by nature and finds herself making friends very easily - though sometimes people get intimidated by her appearance and steer clear of the woman. Jojo is a very bubbly person and talks very fast with a hint of an accent which sometimes makes it hard to understand what she's saying. Though, sometimes she doesn't fully think about what she says before she says it and things start to get complicated. Either way, it's very hard to get Jojo angry unless you really try to. Due to her upbringing as a vagrant (as she calls herself) she learns not to get too attached to people - even as an adult she's still learning how to open up and let people in.

Jojo was the daughter of her mother Nakala Phillips - a legendary drill sergeant in the US Army - and her father Carl Jackson - the two had a complicated relationship so they were never together but Jackson remained a part of his daughter's life. Jojo was born in the Ramstein Air Base in Germany and her early life was one of traveling from place to place. On one hand, Jojo got to say that she lived in places like Hawaii, Texas, upstate New York, and Florida, and stayed in South Carolina for most of her mother's Drill Sergeant bid... on the other, she felt like an outsider in people's lives and learned not to make attachments. Nakala wanted a better life for Jojo than she had so she did all she could in the Army to make sure that the girl was happy - but also applying her version of tough love on the girl. She didn't want Jojo to grow up spoiled and lazy so Nakala made sure that Jojo was very... active, shall we say. Nakala taught her all the skills that she knew Jojo could apply in life such as cooking, and cleaning, and even taught her how to do her taxes! She made sure that Jojo wasn't on her ass on her phone or watching TV... she made sure the girl went out and played sports and volunteered on the weekends when she wasn't with her friends. The reason was a bit more than just not wanting a lazy daughter... she just wanted some free time now and then!

Now and then when Nakala was sent off to deployment or her father wanted her; she scrambled the money to send Jojo to Chicago. Her father was a boxing coach that trained Nakala... and Jojo got the bits and pieces of the relationship that her mother didn't talk about. However, Carl helped Jojo find a new passion and something that'd keep her busy than working in an animal shelter or picking the trash out of the river. Whenever Jojo was sent to her father, Carl, he trained her to be the best fighter she could be, and eventually, when she went home she started looking for boxing gyms. They were a bit expensive but her mother was happy that her daughter had found something to temporarily get her out of her hair on the weekday. Eventually, Nakala retired from the Army and settled down in Chicago.

That was when Jojo graduated high school and decided that college wasn't for her... she hit the gym pretty much every day she wasn't sick and worked her ass off getting in shape or she was training. She picked up a few jobs to cover her costs but that wasn't her goal... her goal was the Women's International Boxing Association - and through years of fighting underground, she eventually made it into the league in the Welterweight class fighting for America. It was a brutal and chaotic era of Jojo's life as she had to work her ass off to continue to compete as there were people with years of experience over her. It was an era of wins and losses, and asking herself "What the fuck is going on?" so many times.

Naturally, despite all of her hard work she hardly got the attention that her male peers got - she hated it but she understood life. Eventually, she managed to get to the Welterweight championships - and not just that, but the grand finals! It was her against Mother Russia as she was close to gaining the title that she felt she deserved after years upon years of hard work...

.... and she lost.

Russia took home the world championship as so many people that were rooting for her tried to comfort her but Jojo knew they were disappointed in her. However, the only person that scolded her was her mother... Nakala told her the only reason why she lost was because Jojo was so single-mindedly obsessed with the championship and nothing else. That Jojo needed to slow down and enjoy her twenties like Nakala herself did - balancing her job in the Army with still being a teenager! Go on vacation, go explore, go do something because all work and just work would drive Jojo crazy.

Carabo was a place Nakala liked as a youth, so Jojo just packed her things and went on what would hopefully be an amazing vacation without anything bad happening. Right?
