The Dakarin, a lunar space port
The Dakarin Lunar Spaceport is a mega-structure that had replaced the moon that circled the planet once called "Earth" which is a dead planet and a wasteland of desert lifestyles from the nuclear warfare that destroyed it centuries ago. The planet is now used as a material mine where mining companies have made use of the sand for glass production, ore materials for a variety of other things, and materials of stone. It is not a place that anyone wants to be and most get trapped into lifelong careers in the minds and horrible living conditions on the planet.

Name: Kelly "Bones" DeForest

Race: Human 

Physical Description: 
DeForest looks like a man in his 60s with deep wrinkles on his face that tell of years of deep contemplation. He has white long scruffy hair that is generally unkempt. His eyes are blue but they seem to have lost their luster over the years. The hair on his face is thick and lush and is generally styled in a goatee but he also lets it grow into a full beard. Every time he is working or "on duty" he wears his blue doctor uniform which is always clean but seems to be quite worn throughout the years. DeForest wears white sneakers-type shoes with high arch support. On his left arm, he has a wearable computer, known as the Medical Assistance Unit or "MedA", that he uses to quickly diagnose and help treat patients. 

Role Description 
DeForest is the crew's venerable space physician. He was trained in the famed Interstellar Alliance Medical Academy on planet Fargon. The Academy was set up thousands of years ago as the first medical training institution when human alliances began developing partnerships with alien alliances. Here is where DeForest trained in nanomedicine, regenerative treatments, and cybernetic enhancements, among other medical advancements. The Academy also helped practitioners train in some known alien physiology so that they might be able to at the very least provide them first aid. 

In his early thirties, he became part of the Interstellar Alliance's Advanced Medical Research Centre (IAAMRC). He became recognized in the scientific community for continually pushing the bounds of medical technology. However, he was stripped of his position and disbarred from practicing medicine when his experiments upset the higher-ups of the Interstellar Alliance. DeForest has not told the reason why he has been removed from his position to any of his crewmates.  

He met Kalrith Soreden on Solaris XIII, a sparsely inhabited trading planet. Soreden came to a bar where DeForest was drinking all his free time away. Soreden was sweaty and was clearly in distress. After nonchalantly using his MedA he quickly diagnosed that Soreden has internal organ damage. DeForest offered medical assistance to the man also known as "the Devil". After that, he made a deal with the devil and became his second crew member.

"The Devil Himself"

Name: Kalrith Soreden
Race: Onkirus, also known as "The Devil Race" or "daemons" in some parts of the universe.
Age: Approximately a 160. (Species can live to be around 500 years old)

Role Description
Kalrith is a businessman who has been running the crew known as "Arthius" since the Captain who ran the old crew vanished around sixty years ago. There are many rumors about Kalrith being on that crew and being power hungry - no one knows what happened to the old captain or the crew except Kalrith, and he doesn't want to talk about the past or entertain people with such a story. He is very deflective in conversation with anyone who tries to ask him about anything that he considers to be personal in his eyes, and that specific topic is very personal. 

The devilish man is the one who traps people into contracts in a variety of ways. He pays more than any other "captain" on the Dakarin, the Lunar Space Port, which was once the moon for a place called Earth, which is now a dead planet as a result of nuclear mass destruction. 

Kalrith is known as a man who doesn't take things personally and doesn't show that anything goes deeper than skin level on him. He is usually quiet and observant. His silver tongue enables him to set prices and keep his crew's morale high through financial means. 

Most people who do business with him have nothing but negative things to say about him, except that he always keeps his word and is a fantastic businessman when it comes to the type of work that these crews do: transportation, retrieval missions, scouting, and a variety of other forms of work for financial gain.

A little bit about him
When it comes to getting his way, Kalrith is known to push others' boundaries and test his own. He is obsessed with power. Perhaps this is why he has become such a successful businessman in his field. A silver tongue, refusing to take "no" for an answer, and not caring about anyone but himself. 

The man takes pleasure in his black licorice cigarillos. He has them specially made for him with a natural charcoal black wrap, and it burns blue and emits purple smoke. If he's out of smokes, he will develop a miserable attitude within four hours, even though he tries to keep his mouth shut when he's on the verge of burning something down from withdrawals. He could be described as an addict. 

Kalrith can be caring despite the negativity that he usually exudes with his smart mouth. He may not be the most caring person, but he tries to make his crew feel better than he feels all the time. 

Kalrith never forgets a crew member's birthday or when they casually mention how much they enjoy a treat from a particular planet or a dish from a particular culture. Gifts can appear out of nowhere, with no explanation or a threatening note: "keep it to yourself." 

He isn't without redeeming qualities.

Racial Abilities & Descriptions
Hypnotic Gaze
Ability: The Onkirus race has eyes that emit a mesmerizing glow, capable of entrancing and manipulating those who make eye contact with them. 
Effect: Victims may have altered perceptions, increased susceptibility to suggestion, or even complete loss of control over their actions. 
Weakness: The above effect will be terminated by the Onkiru's vocal decision. The ability and its effects can only be redone by the individual requesting or demanding a difference though the Onkirus has to be in visual eye contact with their victim. 
Negatives: has to constantly wear sunglasses so he doesn't accidentally make anything worse for himself or anyone else. 

Blood Toxins and Poisons
Ability: The Onkirus race is a master of toxic substances, ranging from lethal venom to mind-altering poisons. Toxins and poisons get stored in their bloodstream and do not seem to effect the race at all. 
Effects: This species' abilities can cause paralysis, hallucinations, or fatal reactions in its victims. Their blood is toxic.  
Weakness: As a result, the race has become extremely sensitive to extreme temperatures, particularly cold. Cold or below-freezing temperatures can temporarily impair their ability to control and manipulate the toxins in their blood. Furthermore, their toxic nature makes them vulnerable to rare antidotes that can neutralize their poisons. The above effects can only be done by getting their blood into the body of another.  
Symptoms: The longer an Onkirus is exposed to cold temperatures, the darker its veins become before they go into a seizure-like state and the rest of its organs shut down. This means that the individual has spent too much time in the cold and their internal body temperature has dropped below 140 degrees Fahrenheit, which is significantly lower than the species' internal temperature of over 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

Racial Obligations
The Onkirus race has a few distinct characteristics that allow it to be identified from a long distance. Their skin tone can range from orange-yellow to purplish-red. The devilish characteristics that they possess are similar to the ancient and forgotten texts of numerous religious scriptures. These people are born without souls and may not have one for the first five to ten years of their lives. The stronger their soul and life force, the sooner they will manifest in the form of who they truly are. 

Kalrith didn't last long without "Oseille," the physical manifestation of Kalrith's soul and life force. The lamb's symbolism [specifically she is a Dall ewe]. In contrast to Kalrith's masculinity, Oseille is feminine. The lamb represents Kalrith as both suffering and triumphant; it is typically a sacrificial animal, and it may also represent gentleness, innocence, and purity. When combined with the dynamic of Kalrith, the pair can represent a state of elation. Furthermore, the lamb represents sweetness, forgiveness, and meekness. The opposite of what Kalrith presents himself. 

Because Oseille is the embodiment of his life force, he must carry her around or keep a constant eye on her. If the little lamb is harmed, Kalrith feels the pain on a higher level, and the same damage forms on his body as Oseille does, and vice versa. Kalrith will perish if Oseille dies. 

Kalrith will develop illness symptoms the longer and further they are separated from each other. It will begin gradually and intensify until Kalrith experiences seizure-like symptoms before all of his vital organs shut down and place him in a comatose state.

Racial Prejudice
Because of his race, Kalrith is not permitted to visit many planets or even leave the spaceship. Planets with major banking systems, casinos, official gambling rings, or anything similar that is under legal action - An onkirus is not permitted to be in the building or, in some cases, on the planet due to their abilities and race's reputation for counting cards and cheating in such games. 

If he was discovered by law enforcement, surveillance, or someone who wishes to report him for being on such grounds. The man could face a simple warning or up to six months in jail. 

The man will be heavily monitored on "peaceful" planets because of his racial ability "Hypnotic Gaze," and it will lead to heavy monitoring once detected on the planet. There will be cases of certain planets' law enforcement not allowing him to get off the docking decks unless he puts a tracking device on. They are known to be malicious individuals who have done heinous things with such power. A reason there are not many left in the universe. 

In short, an Onkirus is one hell of an individual to be traveling with.

Historic Information
After the massacre on Okinaria, the majority of the universe knows that the Onkirus people were slaughtered and their home planet was turned into a vast desert wasteland. This massacre occurred around 145 years ago, when Kalrith was in his adolescence. He says nothing about what happened on the planet or whether he was involved or not. Kalrith gets irritated when people talk about the "war" incorrectly, which he believes every textbook or article about it does. The triad planets of Krost, Lepen, and J'er were all in on the slaughter, and according to their information, "Onkirus fought back," but if the subject is ever brought up, Kalrith will educate misguided people on what happened on that planet. 

The planet of Okinaria was a fungus planet with tons of bioluminescence before it was turned into a war-forgotten waste land. Kalrith collects fungi and he has a ton of specimens in his room.

Physical Description: This friendly, attractive woman gives you an odd, uneasy feeling of dread. She has wide red eyes the color of blood. Her luxurious, straight, raven hair is shoulder length. She is tall and has a lithe build. She has thin eyebrows and noticeable canines that ever so slightly protrude from her mouth. Her skin is very pale. She has no heartbeat. Her wardrobe is simple and professional, with a lot of black.

Racial abilities and descriptions
 WARNING: McLENDON'S SYNDROME 
McLendon's Syndrome is a blood-born contagious disease, avoid contact with open sores, cuts or wounds. When treating, wear protective gear and double-glove.

Do NOT provide their blood to an uninfected person. Sterilize room following treatment.

Initial presentation - headache, fever, pain in the muscles and joints, unconsciousness that lasts several days, excessive sweating, early onset light sensitivity, eye color turns red. Blood circulation without heart beat. Presence of McLendon's microorganism detected in blood.

Symptoms include:

Blood cravings - can accept any blood-type. Cravings can be moderated by chocolate.
Paralytic Saliva - acts as a mild sedative, applied during bite. High risk of blood contact. 
Extreme sun sensitivity - Exposed skin will experience almost instant painful burning and blistering, death can result from prolonged sun exposure. Recommend no travel during daylight hours.
Extreme food sensitivity - painful vomiting, cramps, and dumping reported. Patients require special dietary supplement, MLS2 (liquid). Survival ration (paste) works as a viable alternative.
Sensory sensitivity - everything seems brighter, louder, overwhelming taste, smell, or touch. May require wearing of sunglasses, gloves, special ear plugs to filter sound, and a blander diet.
Enhanced strength - strength appears to double or triple, as if they are able to use a greater percentages of their muscles' capabilities. Please use caution around the newly infected.
Enhanced reflexes - Sometimes too quick, can result in damaging equipment / collateral damage to the people around them. Avoid thrown objects whenever possible.

Treatment - There is no cure, attempts to remove the symbiote invariably kills the patient. Provide symptom relief as listed above.

In the event of a sudden decompression, the body suit expands at openings to cover exposed flesh (typically the hand and head), providing protection from the vacuum of space and fifteen minutes of oxygen. One cannot pop her into a Chrysalis Machine to remove the symbiote at the heart of McLendon's Syndrome. It is integrated into her body.

It's rare-enough disease that few are aware of it, unless they're a hypochondriac or a medical professional with a knowledge of exotic diseases. A medical warning is included in her IDENTchip implant.

Occasionally McLendon's Syndrome patients run into crazy would-be vampire killer zealots with wooden stakes who've seen too many horror movies.

Appearance:
Kimara has golden eyes that are a wide almond shaped. She has long wavy hair that graduates from a dark red to a brighter red end with bangs that shape her face. Speaking of face, she has sharp features and high cheek bones that are known in her people. Along her arms are also swirled yellow that glow due to her augmentation. Kimara also has swirling yellow markings coming from the outer corner of her eyes to the middle of her cheeks. Her build is muscular, slightly athletic and curvy. 

Clothing wise she wears a black with golden accent jumper with metal toe combat boots.

Role:
She is security for the crew when it comes to leaving the ship along with being a medical personnel.

Kalrith had gotten her attention while she was drunk, and she walked over and started speaking to him. She had seen very few of his kind, or honestly none of his kind so she was genuinely curious. Kimara could tell he wanted to be left alone and she just smiled simply said

“Let me at least talk? I’m by myself and I am guessing you’re a good ear.” 

She didn’t care if he totally agreed but if he wanted her to leave she was guessing he would make her. She started talking about her most recent bounty and how she had to save her employer from the person she was after because they decided to go after them and then went on about the other bounties as well as her own adventures. 

Though she eventually decided to leave him, he stopped her from leaving before passing a card to her offering her a job.

B a c k g r o u n d

Known languages:
Her first language is Zehobereian, her second language is English then she knows enough in other languages to get around but she wouldn’t be able to read it. That she uses a translator shamelessly.

Personality:
Kimara is an ambivert; great with people and fine with talking yet she needs alone time. She is a floater, and most of the time she will never stay at one place for long. She is stubborn and doesn’t usually know when to give up. Kimara can be super kind when she isn’t at work but it is very rare that she shows the softer side of her. She is always looking to help and protect her friends and family even at the cost of her life.

History:
Kimara had been 6 when she was sold off to some space pirates. The Albatross crew led by their captain, Lamanzo Larc, She would have been sold if it wasn’t for the captain of the ship getting attached to her. From then on, Kimara was in and out of the ship helping them with bounty’s and getting money. Generally, she had a wild childhood but she was treated well. 

Kimara while being young had helped in the infirmary of the ship with their Doc, a very pretty Togurta named Yosso. Who taught Kimara how to help those severely injured, what supplies are needed and how to do it. Kimara became Yossos little helper. 

Though, at 10 she was captured by those who were trying to buy her. She has mostly repressed most of those memories due to her trauma but she remembers feeling the cuts, feeling the movement in her limbs and torso. She remembers her throat being sore from screaming, she remembers Anzo came for her. Kimara remembers feeling pain from being picked up in two of the four arms of the man. 

After being freed, Kimara found out they had basically enhanced her mobility abilities; she can run longer, jump higher, swim faster and the such. Anzo had guessed they wanted to make her into a killer or a soldier because that was what the people were known for. When she asked who they were so she could kick their butts for what they did to her, he refused.  

“Revenge is a fools game spitfire. Use what you have been given and make the most of it.” 

Kimara had been angry but after a particularly nasty fight with another crew that had ended up with her being saved thanks to her speed. Then she understood what he meant, the people trying to turn her into a monster had just made it a little easier for her to survive. 

She continued to apprentice under Yosso so that other than to fight she can help her fellow crew members and herself out on the field. 

From then on she was always one of the first to go into a robbery, or looting spree. When she was older she went out on her own. She had kept an anonymous persona while working while living a nomadic lifestyle for 7 years before meeting Kalrith and working for him.

The Zehoberei are the inhabitants of the planet Zen-Whoberi. Due to overpopulation, poverty and starvation was a commonplace issue across the planet, so much so that the planet became a target to many wealthier and powerful planets. A powerful being soon came through with beings known as the Baboon and wiped out most of the population.

What survivors that could get out became either fugitives or ended up being hunted then killed.

While weaker than certain humanoid species, the Zehoberei's skin allows them to take far less damage from attacks and increases their durability. The increased tissue density also contributes somewhat to their physical strength.

Clover stands poised at 5’11 with a slim cybernetic figure. Her scarcely clad frame is considered far outdated by contemporary standards. Although she regularly chooses not to wear clothing, her casing is not sexualised. The majority of her body is exposed machinations.

R A C E
Calveran
The Calveran are a race of aliens that live on the surface of a neutron star, Calvera. They differ from common life in that they don’t posses DNA, rather their genetics are tied to cosmic strings and magnetic monopoles bound together by intense gravity. These bindings entangle, encode and replicate information which become the seed for their nuclear form of life.

A typical Calveran experiences the universe in two dimensions due to the gravitational confines of their home world. As plasmatic beings, single unit arithmetic is incredibly advanced whereas concepts such as wave theory are elementary.

R O L E
Communications Expert
Clover is a linguistics and negotiations specialist. As the cyborg of a Calveran, she may not at first appear to be an ideal candidate for this position, however, what she lacks in humanity she compensates for with experience. Clover is three quarters of a millennium in age and her philosophy is: at this point in time, there are no unique social issues; all lifeforms will suffer identical mundane quandaries on repeat until the eventual cold death of the universe.

P E R S O N A L I T Y
A person might look at Clover then imagine she’s an emotionless, stone hearted robot to which she would say, “k i l l  a l l  h u m a n s” because she finds humour in that. Clover is a lover of dark comedy, she’ll lean into her deathbot persona for a laugh but in reality it couldn’t be further from the truth. Clover is articulate as to be expected from someone in her line of work. When the occasion calls for it, she’s sensitive with her words and is genuinely empathic about the feelings of others. Even though she believes she’s heard every story a thousand times, it doesn’t mean the lifeform sharing it is of any less value.

B A C K G R O U N D
The long late professors Callister and Reves spent their lives communicating with Calverans. The culmination of their research resulted in a neural link between a living Calveran and a machine host. When he announced the success, Callister told Reves he loved him and so, Clover was given her namesake, C loves R. It’s a story she tells often - whether or not she’s telling the truth, who knows.
