Hello, I was interested in joining this RP. Is it still open? If so then i have an idea for an alien race that has the ability to shape shift. And them being a scholarly/politician type.
That's fair, i can definally cut the shape shifting. Basically the idea for the character would be this race collecting and gathering information. Information from many races and their deep history. The best comparison would be a mix of the scribes from Fallout and the Mechanicus from the Warhammer series. I imagine them with massive ships filled with the information of the different races. And is basically a huge library.
@Eviledd1984 more than workable. I am currently at work (lots of extra shifts this week) but feel free to break them down for us in a way that could work for the lore document. You can hop on the discord too.
Thank you, i will start work on that but i may be able to finish it this Saturday or Sunday. Work has been a real bitch lately. I will also join the sever when i get home today.
I can't seem to join the server could you DM the link please and thank you.
We'd love to have you both. I have replaced the discord link in the OP. Try again now. We currently are on some downtime due to preparing for the next mission and myself being busy with my day job.
For a long time, Kriliterans have been collecting information about the many species that live in the cosmos. They collect every piece of information to learn as much as possible about them. Their methods of gathering information usually involve observing or abducting their subjects and experimenting with them. They then put the information they find into tomes and place them in libraries for others to read. They mostly avoid conflict and always try to find a peaceful solution.
However, they will defend themselves if possible. Many years ago, they updated all the information they collected digitally. Not much is known about them as they tend to keep to themselves. They only interact with other species when they deem it necessary. Their huge ships are mostly filled with their “books.” If a person were supposed to get inside, they would notice how they looked similar to a library.
The culture of the Kriliterans values books and information, treating every book as sacred. Each person is assisted in cataloging, maintaining, and protecting a library if attacked. Sometimes, families are assisted in taking care of their libraries. They are also known to build various contraptions and technology. They have been known to create multiple artistic pieces, including music, art, and poetry. They also have a photographic memory, so they memorize everything they see and write it down afterwards.
Their appearance is that of short, stocky creatures with three eyes and multiple arms and legs. Their skin is a soft pink. They have smaller heads than their disguised form. Their two eyes are sunken, while their third looks like a regular eyeball. Small bulbous lumps on their faces and below their eyes act like ears and noses. These lumps have small holes that allow air to pass through. The Kriliterans are taught at a young age how to use a sword and an ancient martial art called Kal’maron.
The Kriliterans worship a god named Niftari. Their lifespan is between 500 and 510 years. Their planet of origin is Krill. The Kriliterans have a military and politicians to help deal with political issues on and off the planet.
Background: Kolvar was born in Krill and lived with his uncle and aunt. His parents were killed during the war between the Kriliterans and another species, the T’Sorians. This war ended with the Kriliterans capitulating and being occupied by the T’Sorians. This conflict had lasted twelve years. Most Kriliterans' libraries were burnt during the war, known as “The Great Catastrophe.” He helped his uncle and aunt with their shop and assisted his uncle with his various inventions. His childhood was filled with oppression and sorrow, thanks to the current occupation. Most of his family members and friends were killed or sent into the “camps” by the T’Sorians.
As a child, he showed interest in being a poet, creating poetry about what was happening around him. He became famous among his people for his thought-provoking poetry. Eventually, he joined a group of terrorists that were fighting against the T’Sorians occupation. Creating pamphlets and other propaganda to help fight the T’Sorians. He was also picked because of his bomb-making skills. Sometime in his adulthood, he was captured by the T’Sorians and tortured for a few years.
Kolvar escaped prison, helping the rebellion succeed, and the T’Sorians were kicked out of Krill. The rebellion’s conflict with the T’Sorians lasted almost one hundred and thirty years.
Kolvar and his comrades were considered terrorists by the T’Sorian government, which made him a target for bounty hunters and the T’Sorian government. He went under a different name and posed as a poet/philosopher, hoping he would not be discovered. However, his identity was finally found, and he was recruited to The Evenomed.
Character Evaluation: Kolvar is quite mysterious toward other people, which he prefers because he doesn't like opening up to them. He will use a soft tone of voice and adequately address someone, using "Sir" or "Madam" to show respect. A great reader of books and literature, he loves reading and quoting certain lines from his favourite books, especially human books from the 17th to 19th centuries. A person who loves to have deep thoughts and conversations about many subjects is always looking for someone to stimulate his intellectual mind.
He only opens up when he feels safe around others, which is rare, especially when he is overly excited about little things. He is very curious about many things. He is known to be very protective of people she trusts. Kolvar is a no-nonsense person willing to point out people's flaws. Doing things his way and doing anything to complete the task given to him, not caring if people’s feelings are physically hurt. Occasionally quips and gives dry humour or observations while around others, most of which can annoy others around him.
Kolvar believes that everyone should not be oppressed by anyone or any government. He does not like discussing his past and the many crimes he has committed, circumventing this by trying to change the subject. Feeling currently that he is doing this “job” to try and redeem himself for his past sins.
Skills: Kolvar is skilled in poetry, cooking, gardening, swordplay, his species’ marital art of Kal’maron, and bomb-making.
Etherealism: N/A
Loadout: A rapier-like sword passed down in his family, a dagger, writing utensils and a pad of paper to write some poetry.
Actions Of Interest: He has committed various crimes against T’Sorian government and its people. These deaths include T’Sorian children which had given him a heavy amount of guilt.
