Killian shook his head slightly. He opened his eyes finally in the more dim room and reached for the bed remote, sitting up the bed so he was more upright, but still laying down. He looked around then let his eyes land on Xavier. He smiled a little, eyes looking to the water.

He swallowed and reached for it. When it was given, he drank it slowly before handing it back. He let out a soft sigh to himself, and watched Xavier more. His mouth was moving, like he was moving his tongue inside him mouth, lips parting only to close again. He gave another sigh and looked to the remote, pressing the nurse button.

Xavier watches, still a bit concerned, but happy that Killian isn’t kicking him out. When he hands the water back, Xavier refills it and sets it on the little overbed table. It’d been a long time since he’d last seen an Omega come out of being feral. His knowledge of how to help hasn’t increased since then. The door opens and a nurse walks in.

“Oh good, you’re awake! Let me go grab the doctor.”

Xavier clears his throat before the nurse can leave the room. “Killian, did you need anything before he goes and grabs the doctor?” He asks, looking away from the nurse and at Killian instead.

Killian winces a little at her loud exclamation of his awakening. His eyes look to Xavier and he gives a shake of his head. No, he honestly just wants to sleep more, but he knows the doctor has to check him and make sure he's stable. He does move his hand a little and reach out to try to hold Xavier's hand. He wants something grounding.

Xavier smiles politely at the nurse. “Thank you, the doctor would be great.” Xavier glances at the hand moving towards him. Killian would’ve seen where he put the water, so was he… reaching for him? Xavier gently places his hand in his and smiles. “Is it okay for me to touch you? I don’t want to push you.”

Killian made another noise, just holding his hand. Honestly, he was just holding his fingers, but it was enough contact to settle him more.

The doctor came in a little while later and moved over to Killian. "Hello, Mister Velvet. I'm glad to see you're awake. I'm going to ask you some basic questions while I check your vitals." Killian nodded, looking towards the doctor.

"Can you speak?" Head shake.
"In pain?" Head shake, breathing checking.
"Groggy?" Nod, pupils painfully checked.
"Still feeling a little feral?" Head shake, grip was checked.
"Do you know where you are and who is in this room?" Nod, reflexes checked.

The doctor nodded and stepped back, offering a small smile. "Good. I'll have a nurse come in and bring you some food. Once you're able to talk, hit the nurse button and we'll discuss some things." They waved to Killian and then moved out of the room again. Killian sighed softly and looked back over to Xavier.

Xavier gives his hand a gentle squeeze as the doctor comes in. He stands, wanting to make sure he’s not in the way, but still close enough in case Killian needs him. He let out a little sigh of relief when everything turns out to be normal almost in sync with Killian’s soft sigh.

With a small chuckle, he takes his seat by Killian’s bed and picks up his hand in both of his. He’s tempted to kiss his knuckles, but he refrains for now. “All the Omegas made it out safe, thanks to you.” He tells Killian gently.

The bear watched him settle on the seat and then take his hand. It was a little too much, but that was okay. If it became unbearable it would pull his hand away. He smiled lightly at the fact that the Omegas were safe. He nodded. That was good.

He shifted a little, turning towards Xavier more before his eyes slipped shut. He was so tired still. Still coming off Feral brain, but they were safe, so that was good. He had done good, protected them.

Willow pads softly out of the bathroom, comb, brush, and hair dryer in hand as she shoots Rowan a pleading glance. She’s dressed and ready to go out from their hotel, whether to go see Killian again or what. “Can you dry my hair and ears? I already got my tail,” She twists to show the bespeckled fluff sticking out of her jeans to Rowan before offering the tools in her hands to him.

“…I like it better when you do my hair and ears…” She says with a deep red blush on her cheeks. It’d been a couple of days since the Conan incident and Willow’s been released from the hospital since, but as Killian hasn’t yet, the bunny and her wolf had gotten an hotel to stay in. Since everyone’s been mostly busy since the incident, there hasn’t been many moments for just Willow and Rowan outside of cuddling in the same bed, but she’s determined to make a small moment at least.

“Mother please-” Xavier pauses in his pacing as he speaks on the phone outside of the hospital. The woman is yelling at him not to call her that and he can only sigh deeply in response. “Lillian then. Would you please just follow the outline of the email I sent you? It should make it easy to just-“ More yelling from the other line before Xavier is just fed up. He hangs up the phone and heads back inside.

During the last couple of days, Xavier has spent most of his time in Killian’s room. He had someone bring him some clothes and some other things so he could just stay by the Omega’s side, but he had also gotten an hotel room nearby in case the bear ever needed his space. He enters the room slowly and takes his seat by the bed. “How are we feeling today?” He asks Killian gently.

Rowan looked up from his book. He was sitting in one of the chair by the table near the balcony. He smiled, putting in the bookmark and nodded. He got up and moved with her to the bathroom. He plugged in the hair dryer and brush. "Of course. I'll always dry your hair, little one." He started to gently brush her hair, swishing the hair dryer against it so it dried.

Killian looked up when Xavier walked in. He offered a small smile, clearing his throat lightly. He'd only finally started speaking last night. So his voice was rather scratchy and worn. He'd done a lot of snarling and growling. "A little sore still.." He clear his throat again. "But better.. I think I should..*throat clear* be able to leave today. As long as I'm under someone's.. observation."

Willow smiles with her cheeks still red, happy to hear Rowan’s promise. She hums a little as Rowan works through her hair, her tail wiggling about as she found herself pleasantly relaxed. When his attention turns to her ears, she thumps her foot a little before she can stop it and her face flushes. Hopefully Rowan didn’t notice.

Once the dryer is set down, she turns around and wraps her arms around Rowan and beams brightly up at him. “Thank you.” She says in her soft tone before continuing. “Do you think… we might be able to go on a date tonight?” It’d be their first official one going out and as much as he showed that he plans to keep her around, she wants to experience some normal dating rituals. “Unless of course you’re still busy.”

Xavier is patient as Killian talks, hearing clearly how hard it is for him. He refills the bear’s empty water cup. “Did they say how long you need to be observed for?” The wolf asks, placing the cup on the overbed table before sitting down. As much as he would love to be the one watching over Killian, he’s not sure he could with the mess his estate is in. He could do it for tonight and have the bear stay in his hotel, but if it’s needed longer… He holds back a sigh, not wanting to burden Killian with it all right now.

Rowan chuckled lightly and nodded. "Sure. We can go out to dinner? Unless you wanted to do something else? I'll have my phone just incase something happens with Killian, but he should be fine." He ran a hand through her hair gently, then picked her up under her thighs and started into the other room and back to his chair.

Killian looked at him more, just looking. He then smiled lightly and reached over. He set a hand with an IV on Xavier's cheek. "Xavier." He cleared his throat gently, and looked to the water. He took a sip, leaving his hand on the man's cheek and then looked back to him.

"Go. Home." He pulled his hand away slowly and laid back in the bed. "I'll just stay here. I need more.. observation.. because.." He paused. "My eyes are.. still.. dilated.. They don't want me.. to slip back."

Willow’s tail quickly wags back and forth with excitement. “Sure! Dinner sound- oh!” She squeaks in surprise as she’s lifted up by Rowan and her deep blush covers her face once more. Her wide brown eyes look up at him as he carries her and her arms wrap around his neck. “I-I could have walked…” She mumbles as the two of them reclaim his chair.

Xavier blinks, his attention refocusing on Killian again when his hand lay on his cheek. A light pink hue dusts his cheeks as he waits for the bear’s next words. He frowns, not having expected him to say this. “I don’t want to leave you here alone.” He counters, leaning forward to cup Killian’s face now and brushing some hairs off his forehead.

Rowan gave a soft chuckle into her hair as he settled back, letting her get adjusted. "I agree, you could have." He pulled her head down gently by the back of it to his chest, letting her settle against him. "But I wanted to carry you." He loosely wrapped his arms around her, looking towards the view they had. "So, let's just sit like this for a moment."

The bear smiled to him, hand coming up to touch Xavier's hand on his face. "You have.. no obligation.. to me, Xavier. We.. aren't mates." He looked a little bit sad at the statement, but it was nonetheless true. "You have to.. go back.. anyway. Need to be.. there for the changes.. and.. the funeral.. I'll be fine.." He chuckled lightly. "This isn't.. my first time.. in a hospital.. And I.. have my phone."

A silly sort of smile curls Willow’s lips as she gives in and curls into Rowan more. “Okay,” She murmurs softly, letting herself get settled and comfortable. “If you insist…” She takes a deep breath in, letting Rowan’s scent fill her senses.

“How is everything going with the other Omegas?” She asks, curious if the relocation efforts are going smoothly.

Xavier’s frown doesn’t alleviate as they listen to Killian. As much as he wants to argue or say that the two could be mates, he holds back. “Even if you are somehow ‘used’ to a hospitalization like this, it doesn’t make want to leave you any less…” His thumb brushes along Killian’s cheekbone. “You have to promise me you’ll keep me updated. I can come back to pick you up once you’re ready if you’d like even.”

He gave a soft hum, fingers playing her tail very gently. "Some of the Omegas are still.. cautious, but that's alright. They'll all been moved to the new sanctuary. Mostly Betas work there, and a couple Omegas. Only one or two Alphas, but they've been screened and interviewed and made sure their scent is compatible with all the Omegas living there. The Alphas are mostly just for desensitization therapy and in case a fight breaks out."

He leans his head back and keeps his gaze out the window. "I need to go do my rounds with my sanctuaries soon too. See how they're functioning and get some in person reports."

His eyes drift shut at the caress on his cheek, but he gives a slight shake of his head. "No need for.. pick up. Rowan will.. when ready." He raised his hand to encircle Xavier's wrist, the grip still a little weak. "I'll be.. okay and.. update you. Go home, Xavier.. Change you.. image for.. the better." He smiled when he opened his eyes, slightly dilated and shining up at him. "Message me.. about questions.. I helped.. Rowan."

Willow blinks in surprise when Rowan begins to play with her tail, not accustomed to the feeling but finding it pleasant. Nodding along to what Rowan is saying, she closes her eyes. “I hope they find some peace there after everything…” She says softly, unable to stop herself from thinking of Aurora, Jade, and the other Omegas she’d gotten close to.

“Do you think… I could come with you?” She asks, moving her head so she can look up at Rowan. “I want to see what they’re like… maybe say hi to some of the Omegas I know…?”

Xavier glances from Killian’s face to his hand as it wraps around his wrist. You’re still so weak… He thinks as his gaze shifts back to Killian’s face just as his eyes open. He returns the Omega’s smile with a concerned one of his own. “I’ll leave tomorrow, then.” Xavier decides with a firm nod.

“But you’re not allowed to help me with questions or anything until you’ve fully recovered, alright?”

"I dont see why not." Rowan offered a small shrug, still playing with her tail. "It'll help me if you go anyway. Then if I need to stay for anything, I can send you to do a round. That sometimes happens. I've had to send Killian before." He offered her a smile, looking down at her when he turns his head.

"Since you'll be my mate, you'll need to know some of the workings of my businesses."

His face lit up with a small chuckle and he waved his hand a little. "I'll be.. recovered by.. tomorrow, earliest.." He let his hand go from Xavier's wrist. "So.. message me.. with updates and questions.. it'll.. also help.. bring me.. more solidly into.. my own rationale.."

Willow smiles and nods happily, liking the idea that Rowan could depend on her for something. When he turns his head to look at her, her heart feels as if it skips a beat in reaction to his smile. But, when he said the words ‘since you’ll be my mate’, her heart starts to race and her tail starts to wag fast, both causing her to blush deeply in small embarrassment of her reaction.

“Mhm.” She hums with a nervous smile. “R-right.” She can’t help herself and her feelings for Rowan when he says things like that!

Xavier can’t help but grin at the reaction, happy to know he was able to see Killian’s face light up. “Sounds good to me. Do you want company today? I can do some of my work in here on my laptop if you’d like?” He offers, acting as if he didn’t bring his briefcase with him to the hospital with the full intention of staying if the bear would let him. “Then you don’t have to deal with a phone going off a lot with all my questions.” His tone changes to one of teasing - surely he can understand the basics before he has to bother Killian with questions.

He moved a hand up and brushes some of her bangs from her eyes with a smile. "Don't worry too much. I won't toss you into the deep end. Once Killian's recovered, he'll help out too." He then cupped her cheek, thumb rubbing against her cheekbone. "Maybe if you wanted to after you learn some stuff, you want to open your own business.. We can talk about it. Find something you like."

Killian nodded lightly and smiled. "That's fine.. I might fall.. asleep here or.. there, but.. you can stay.." He settled more into the bed, even giving a slight yawn. "If.. I'm asleep and.. you have a question.. write it.. down." He shifted the bed so he was laying down a little more before pulling the blanket up a little higher. Nap was in order.

Willow doesn’t mention that she’s not flustered with worry about that, but maybe she’ll let him believe that’s the reason for now… Rowan cups her cheek and she feels her face grow awfully warm all over again, her tail wagging rapidly. “I’d… like that a lot, actually…” She says this softly as her mind starts to wander over all the possibilities she has to try out now that she’s with Rowan.

“Wait… could I try taking some college classes?” She asks shyly.

Xavier chuckles, pulling his laptop out as he gets a comfortable setup in place. “Sounds good to me. You rest, little cub.” His fingers start rapidly pressing the keyboard on his laptop. At least Lillian was handling all the funeral services for his father. It let him concentrate on how exactly he’d turn everything around for the family and clan. Pulling out a satin scrunchie, he fixes his hair up in a messy bun as he gets to work.
