The person and aesthetic of your character does not have to match your Dominant choice. Just because your character is the brooding type doesn't mean that they should have the 'dark' element Dominant. So, don't feel limited by this.

Your character's Fame is somewhat affect by your Dominant choice. If you choose a Dominant with a 'global' cult, then it's difficult for your character to be an unknown. However, your character doesn't necessarily have to like that they are famous. In fact, I think most Regalia do not enjoy that aspect of it.

If you absolutely don't feel any of the Dominant choices, then speak with me and we'll fix it.

All the stuff about Combat will be added a bit later, closer to the first fight in the story. This gives me more time to complete the graphics, and it won't overwhelm your character creation process.

I can create as much art for your character as you want. I'll probably spam the thread here with art of my own character, so don't be shy. Hopefully we get some AI wizards that join us that can also do this.

Normally I love lightning based themes- but I think I'm gonna make a character with the earth element! I'm thinking sorta golden retriever dudebro energy- maybe used to be a surfer before becoming recognized

That is a great idea! Sounds like he's gonna be a really easygoing guy and a beach babe . A surfer with earth powers. I imagine he'll be kind of annoyed by that, no? lol

Feels like a character you'd definitely run into in an actual Final Fantasy game.

There is no decided cast, so feel free to read the stuff and ponder a character. It's always a bit of a roulette as to who shows up from the interest check, who is interested that hasn't said anything, and how many that fall off.

I 100% support this concept! A big muscular surfer who controls earth is so ironic. And I think your justification of the "Bro" Dominant choosing the most "bro-ish" guy on Libra to be his Regalia makes PERFECT sense!

Like coming from a small, maybe remote rural settlement, who is still obscure. But kinda new to the world given their upbringing and kinda curious about the world, but ultimately reserved and knows that his family does not like the cities for a reason. But still willing to see it for himself and a bit of a scholar.

These are some choices!

I will have to think about some character concepts I would pair with them, and then select what interests me the most.

My gut is between Ultima and Bahamut. I have an idea which could be one or the other, depending on how it is played, For example, an outward Utima facing worshipper but actually a Bahamut one.

This is a great concept. Kind of like a fish out of water concept! Those are always fun narratives to explore!

Thinking either Bahamut's "nothingness" domain or Odin's "desolation." I wanna take a superpower culturally perceived as belonging to "good guys" (in my case, healing magic) and have it operate in a mechanically brutal way with a great capacity for cruelty. (I'm basically envisioning a form of time magic, where the subject's physiological and temporal processes can be accelerated or otherwise fucked with so that they are reverted to an unharmed state..... either before they ever got injured at all or long after they've already healed, all in the blink of an eye. Kind of a darker, grittier Crazy Diamond.) Of course, this being basically some kind of "entropy power," she could also rust locked doors off their hinges, hide bodies by withering them to dust (ie. supernaturally advancing their decomposition), etc.

Dunno how "fair" or balanced the powers are gonna have to be in this game so I'm just throwing the concept out there for your quick approval before sinking real time into this ✌️
