Jeb grunts a quiet affirmative, but stays at the ready.

The reptilian man sighs and then smiles, "Yea. I give up."

The beeping continues in the back ground, ever so slightly speeding up as it goes. It seems like it took Chi a moment to realize something, but he suddenly runs towards the group of ash, astra, dante, and anyone else in that direction. He tries to grow larger, but he is honestly about at his limit. He just tries to make sure Ash is covered, sicne she is closer.

Suddenly, the tank bursts and explodes.

Ash cursed and threw up her hands and shadows shot out to protect the others as she hugged onto Chi. She gasped as the blast hit the shadows and the pain hit as well.

The blast echos through teh scrapyard, shakig the hills of metal nearby, and even damaging the sound dampening spell. Chi curled around Ash like a giant bear sized panther roley poley. She can hear his grunts and shudders as the pain from the shock wave hits him first, trying to absorb it all.

Then there is silence. The lizard man is no where to be seen, but there is tank shrapnel everywhere. Astra also had up some shields, both shadow and wind magic.

The first to speak up is Astra, "Is everyone alright?"

Then there is Jeb, who suddenly takes a few steps at a jog towards there, but seems to remember himself. Clenching his jaw he looks around the rest of the field to see if there are any follow up attacks.

Bane had grabbed the young man and pulled him behind him, shielding him. Then he followed looking around at the destroyed landscape. “Bloody mess…just like the lizard cowards to blow the tank…”

Ash hugged around his neck and was shaking against him. Her shadows weakly wrapped around his body to help support him and she said weakly “I have you Chi…I’m here…I have your back…” she had a nose bleed now and looked knocked around.

Aura was laying on the ground a few yard away, out cold and smoking.

Dante was under the young fang and Astra, still looking in bad shape and in a lot of pain.

Astra stands and looks around, before bending down to Dante, cutting her hand and putting it to his mouth, "Jeb, we're alive over here, go check on Aura."

Jeb nods and hurrries forward to do as he is told, still taking in the damage of the area.

Chi huffs and pants for a good minute, stressed and fearful, his senses taking in everything around him before his whole body just starts softening and shrinking in size, until he is just about the size of a dog rather than a very large bear.

Ash held Chi in her arms, shaking against him. “I’m so sorry chi…I didnt mean to snap at you…I just got so worked up I lost my temper…I hope you can forgive me…”

Aura was out cold, cuts all over her from the metal shots.

Bane moved to Astras side seeing Dante. “His hurt bad. That blast did worse than the tank blowing up. We need to get him inside. His body won’t handle burns of pure light well.” Dante couldn’t swallow the blood on his lips. Bane looked around and said “we need something to carry him in on. The less we touch his skin the better”

Bane hadn’t even noticed and huge piece of metal in his back as he turned to look around.

Chi just lays there, still in an armored panther form. Slowly blinks as her voice comes through the ringing in his hears, he starts drifting into unconciousness. As he does, he begins to put softly for a minute or two.

Jeb carefully collects aura, carrying her over to the group. "Aura is alive too."

Astra curses and sighs, unable to get dante to drink. Letting the people around her handle things, wich inolves all the extra fighters coming together with the main group, and Jeb telling some to go fetch some stretchers.

He looks At Astra and Bane, "We need to recollect ourselves soon...maybe even move. I wouldn't put it past them to try again tomorrow."

Astra's jaw tenses, and she nods, "Have someone check our second choice locations. Bring out all the medical supplies, and the potions. ANd let's expedite the interrogations. If you need to, let them know how...short our patience is."

As people go off to take on her commands, she takes a long and shakey breath to calm herself. It is only then that she noticed the large chunk of metal protruding from Banes Back. "Bane, You are not unhurt either."

Ash led him in her arms, her own mind slipping from the stress of using her powers like that. She looked around and said weakly “is chi okay? I can’t…tell if his hurt…with the black…fur…” she swayed a bit, stumbling while holding Chi in her arms.

Bane looked at Aura and said “get her cleaned up and stitched. Then in the hottest location you have. It will boost her healing”

Then he looked at Dante again and said “okay…we darkness and blood. A lot of it. Lucky he fed before this or this would have killed him…” then he heard Astra and glanced back at the shard. “Bloody…we don’t have time for this. Leave it for now. We need to help the others first…where is Ash?”

Jeb looks over at Ash and Chi and nods softly, holding her steady "He should be fine, you only need to worry if he starts melting. Don't worry, we will get him looked over too."

Aura, dante, and even chi are carefully carted back into the base, each one into their own room to get their own treatments. Jeb gently guides Ash back to Bane, and along with Astra, actively checks around for people and damage. Luckily, it is a scrapyard so no one needs to worry about all the metal pieces everywhere. Finally when the night is silent again, Astra comes u to them, "...lets get you down below too." 

Ash watched as her new friends went below and she was fighting to stay upright. “I should have…done more…to protect them…I wasn’t…fast enough…” Bane sighed and rested his arm around her shoulders. “It’s okay pup…they will be alright…”

Ash turned and saw the fang who had been protecting her. She limped to him and asked “are you okay? You weren’t hurt were…” suddenly her vision blurred and she swayed, the scarp yard tilting. “Why is…tilting…”

Bane was checking in with Jeb on things, metal still in his back.

The vampire stands taller as he noticed her on her way to him. And as she began to sway, he caught her and let her gently sink to the ground with him. His eyes glow red and his voice becomes smoother and more comforting, "I am well, and I have not been hurt. Take heart, and rest."

Jeb is bemused, answering any of banes questions. But he clearly is wondering about the metal sticking out of him.

Astra takes a moment off to the side to breathe.

Ash looked at him and nodded softly, her mind swimming. “I’m sorry…Dante got hurt…I should have been…faster…could have…protected…every…” then her head fell against his shoulder as she passed out, her nose bleeding again.

Bane nodded and looked around to find Astra. He said to Jeb “I’ll go check on Lady Astra. Let’s make sure no one else was injured and get those who need anything attention” he patted Jeb on the shoulder and walked over to Astra. “Are you alright my lady? Can I do anything?”

The vampire sighs as she finally falls asleep, eyes slowly fading back to normal as he pulls out a hankercheif. Swallowing back his urge to taste the best smelling blood he has ever come in contact with, he gently tends to her, before moving. "No...he chose to fight for you. And you are safe. I am sure he is satisfied with that."

He hoped his words would reach her subconcious somehow, while he takes her back down into the base to get looked at.

Astra takes a deep breath and nods, "I am...decompressing. It would greatly relieve me, general, if your injury wasnt one of the million things I had to contemplate." Yet despite her words, she remained tense, and noticably formal in her speaking.

Bane blinked and glanced at his wound and said “don’t worry about my wound for now. As long as I leave it in it will be alright. If I take it out the healing won’t be fast enough before it might get infected. But are you sure you are alright?”

she chews on her cheek, contemplating what he is saying, before seeming to accept it. Finally she lets out a heavy sigh, her shoulders finally falling, "I am unharmed." Another sigh, "...but I 'm worried. And annoyed at myself."

Bane frowned and asked “why are you upset? You didn’t cause any of this. And your team reacted very well. I understand your worry…but they will recover”

She is silent for a moment and then nods, turning towards him for fully, "Im also worried about what Jeb said. He's right of course. We can't assume this is all they have. And they clearly are determined." she tries to smile, and is clearly grateful, "Thank you...for your help. And for worrying about me."

Bane smirked and rested a hand on her shoulder. “We are all warriors. Fighting go the same goal. Peace and prosperity for all. My pack can help with protection and I will find the ones who sent the tank. They won’t hide long” he pulled her with him to take her back inside. “Let’s get you to your family…”

At the opening to the base he had to pause, flinching a little at the metal shard but shook it off. The bad thing was it was bleeding a lot more then it was showing.

She couldnt help but smile a bit more genuinely as he led her back down, thinking about her family. She is worried about the metal, but decides to trutst him to be able to make it to proper medical attention.

Down in the base, many rooms were filled with cots and medical supplies, and people using healing spells after proper cleaning.

Aura is put in a sauna that is currently using just heat and no extra humidity for steam.

Dante is in a dark room, where his squad is looking after him.

Chi has reverted to his silvery blob, in a shallow tank of extremely green algae water.

And Ash is in another room, where the vampire that was left with her has treated her for a bloody nose and is very carefully draining mana stones for her.

Jeb is seen with a clipboard, scribbling things down. He looks up and greets them with a nod. Now, Astra switches roles, becoming the one that leads Bane, bringing him to the room with Ash in it. The vampire stops just enough to greet her too, then continues.

Astra leads Bane to a chair nearby, gently pressing on his chest "Sit...lets get that cleaned up, so you can heal without infection"

Bane had started to get light headed as they walked into the room and he carefully sat down with the chair back in front of him. “You…better get more padding…I’m light headed and I shouldn’t be…” he blinked hard.

Ash was breathing weakly, shaking but the stones were helping a lot.

Aura was recovering well and the wounds healing in the heat.

Dante was the problem. His pain was making him wake up in a wild rage and try and fight off what he thought were foes. But were his own men. He only saw red and felt pain.
