Silver is rarer so I'd go with that one.

I do like silver as a metal so I'd guess it would suit me just fine. I always found too much gold just tacky.

Sundered Echo is the one usually online the longest part of day/night, but Sep is the "primary" GM. Either one will help you, though. They'll also drop by the IRC linked earlier in here fairly often.

Alright. I sent them both a PM. Hoping they like my idea, but if not I'll probably join either way!

No no no no, nothing so UNsubtle.

Its more like.......

I'll give an example.

Suppose baddamanna has OCD. He'll tell him "Something is wrong.", then let him be.

THEN, in EVERY room, he'll shift something that is in plain sight, yet unnoticeable to the CONSCIOUS mind, to an unnatural position, driving said person mad.

Also, yes. If his intricate strategy failed, "BEAM THE NUKES IN." or "RAM THAT ASTEROID DOWN THEIR SUCTION HOLES"

If this hasn't been mentioned before, I'm announcing it now.

The Langford has an on-board Stargate. We can and will contact the SGC at any time.

A stargate aboard a ship? This is madness!

Not really, it's been done before.

Most of the time, the stargate here will be "plugged" as in having a massive object stuck inside it so it cannot be dialed.

For the plug I was thinking that should perhaps be an IC development.

Not us actually plugging it, but forging a reason for plugging it.

We'll see what happens. We're personally more fond of the idea of using lantean-class gate shield to stop entry (that's considerably safer than an Iris) and having a computer-based means of disabling the gate at need. The gates are, after all, basically extremely advanced computers.

As we've discussed before I don't really think they are advanced enough to do that. Unless they do it like avenger and introduce a purposeful "glitch" that makes the gate not know where it is...

Expressing interest.

Also, keep in mind that most of the time the Gate will be useless anyway, since without a valid Point Of Origin it can't be dialled (See the points in Within the Serpent's Grasp when SG-1 try to dial off of Apophis' ship and SG-2 try to dial on to it). So it's only a problem when the ship is in orbit somewhere, assuming someone knows the address and there's no gate on the planet with a working DHD.

Indeed we know that. Though the idea is (That will become apparent IC but I don't need to keep secret) is one of the objectives is to unbury any buried gates if there is something worth long term study on the planet, so that the SGC can send personnel, in that case you need to deactivate the (pegasus) gate on the Langford as it will be taking priority.

Like I said, DHD. If the gate has a working DHD then it takes priority by default.

Incorrect if it is a Pegasus style gate as the Pegasus gates are a more modern version, they take priority over any milkyway gate DHD or no.

Not to mention I'm toying with the idea of us dragging a DHD along as it reduces the power needed for the gate and DHDs have their own powersource and dial slightly faster.
