Behold my weird Touhou OC!

• Name: Maria Shepard
• Species: Human
• Appearance: Whee.

• Abilities: Maria possesses the power to heal wounds, as well as a thorough knowledge of exorcism rites. Like all Gensokians, she possesses the ability to fly, and although she is a pacifist she is surprisingly good with danmaku, enough that her claims to being Reimu's chief rival could actually be justified. She possesses several spellcards, although as she barely ever uses them only some of their names are known (for the curious, her spellcard names include such things as Rites of Exorcism "Kyrie Eleison", Rejuvenation Sign "Auxilium Meum A Domino" and Angelic Salutation "Ave Maria").

• Personality: Maria comes off as more serious minded than some of the others in Gensokyo, and is rather more serious about her religion than either of the mikos. She's not entirely trusting of youkai, but is willing to accept them should they prove to be goodhearted people. A pacifist by nature, she doesn't really get involved much in incidents, and generally frowns upon violence. Somehow, she sees herself as Reimu's chief rival, despite the shrine maiden barely being aware of her existence. Despite this insistance, she's generally a lot more peaceful than most Gensokians, and is mostly concerned with taking care of the small Christian population of Gensokyo. However, if need be she is perfectly capable of fighting off any wolves that would threaten her flock. She is celibate, and proud of this fact; she does not react well to anyone teasing or flirting with her.

• Background: A nun from Gensokyo, and head of the local Christian community. Of course, as the Christian population of Gensokyo is abysmally low, she never really has much to do, and so mustly spends her time going door to door trying to spread the word of the Lord (not with much success, admittedly). Still, she's a hard worker who tries her best to tend to her flock, even if she's starting to feel a little uneasy about the ever-increasing competition.

I decided to go with Youmu instead, so hopefully that's okay.

• Name: Youmu Konpaku
• Species: Half-human half-phantom hybrid
• Appearance:

• Abilities: Youmu is an incredibly adept swordfighter, to the point of being able to hold her own against even Youkai, along with potent concentration and inhuman speed. Along with this, she's also skilled in the use of many spell cards in battle, making her a formidable opponent.

• Personality: Youmu has a straightforward and focused personality, always staying on her task, which complements her swordfighting skills well. However, her personality conflicts with that of her master, Yuyuko Saigyouji, who is very whimsical and playful in nature. Still, she serves Yuyuko as best as she can, tending to the gardens in Hakugyokurou and following her orders. Compared to many of the other eccentric personalities around Gensokyo, she's rather level-headed and sensical, leading to her sometimes be one of the few voices of reason around. Ironically, she is afraid of ghost stories, dares, and darkness, but she is calm around phantoms since she is half phantom herself.

Name: Kirisame Marisa

Species: Human

Appearance: A perfectly ordinary witch.

Abilities: Capable of flight and danmaku use, spellcards listed here. She's also a pretty fancy thief, and carries around what's known as the mini-hakkero for doing magic.

Personality: Kirisame Marisa is a frequent liar and kleptomaniac. She'll steal anything that looks interesting or useful, provided it's not nailed down, and she'll even steal abilities from people she's met. She's also nearly always cheerful, always interested in a fight, friendly or otherwise, and an incredibly hard worker. To master the magic she has, she needed to train for a very long time. It's likely that most of her life was spent doing so. Marisa is also very proud of being the "Second best in Gensokyo" to Reimu, as well as being a good thief.

Name: Yuuka Kazami

Species: Youkai

Appearance: "Welcome to my garden~"

Abilities:
Flower View spell cards. there's also the stuff she used back in Lotus Land Story, which are all unnamed. Aside from Master Spark.
Flower Manipulation.
Flight.

Personality: As a youkai with a reputation boasting great notoriety and infamy, Yuuka... is much more laid-back and sweet than one would expect. While she has been closely associated with, and accused of great tyranny in the past (which Yuuka neither confirms nor denies), the current flower youkai seems content to just wander Gensokyo according to the seasons, watching the flowers bloom. Her interactions tend to be polite and cheerful, though she does have a habit of 'joking' about grievous harm and destruction. Her true motives are hard to read, but her continued (and relatively uneventful) presence in Gensokyo hints that she, well, is ultimately harmless.

Unless you hurt or damage flowers, children, or her servants. Then you deserve all the suffering you have wrought.

Background: A flower youkai with quite the past. Despite that, her only two major involvements in matters include being attacked in her mansion, located in a dream world, and being falsely accused of an Incident involving flowers. She is also an elder youkai with staggering amounts of raw power to complement her totally dangerous flower manipulation.

Thinking to swap out my three reserves. I recall the prior Touhou RP I was in (also GM'd by you I think?) rejecting my shots at Murasa & Mima for being a bit out there, and my Sanae is about as out there as they come. Rin can vouch for me. Since we don't know anything about Orange, by the same rule that leaves me very little room to work with, though Miko may stay reserved.

Will do an OC soon, though, and probably post up any reserved charas that I plan to keep reserved.

Name: Hata no Kokoro

Species: Menreiki youkai.

Appearance: Emotions yet to0 be fully mastered

Abilities:
Spellcards: Here.
Also flight.
Also also, manipulation of emotion.
And finally, an excellent stage performer.

Personality: A quiet youkai who loves to perform. Kokoro uses her masks to express her emotions, as she is otherwise quite poker-faced. Losing just one of her masks, however, tends to make her behaviour and personality quite turbulent, with her powers even running amok, though she has been learning to reduce this problem. Her true passion lies with the stage, which is the most likely subject to bring out an excitable tone... and Koishi is the one most likely to bring about negative feelings.

Background: A tsukumogami that was born from 66 masks created by Hata no Kawakatsu. She somehow managed to lose her 'Mask of Hope', which resulted in her losing control of her emotions and plunging the village into despair and hopelessness. Then the religious leaders vied for popularity and battled. After that whole fiasco was over, Kokoro had regained her Mask, and is learning to properly control her emotions, without the aid of her Masks. At some point, she declared Koishi to be her mortal enemy,

Name: Remilia Scarlet

Species: Vampire

Appearance: "... No, I don't know where all the roses came from."

Abilities: Spell cards! Remilia can regenerate from harm, fly, turn into bats or mist, and is superhumanly strong and fast. She may or may not possess the ability to alter fate. Or she could just be claiming she does. Or she could have no idea she actually does have that ability. Regardless, it does no seem to be used any time recently. She has a series of weaknesses, the most notable being that she cannot move in sunlight without some kind of shade to cover her.

Personality: Remilia carries and behaves like some kind of noblewoman. However, she is actually just as childish as her appearance suggests, even though she is around five-hundred years old. She tries to carry herself as refined and elegant, but it's rather easy to shatter this illusion, and when she's bored she sometimes doesn't even bother trying to appear as refined. Still, for guests or parties she attempts to be as refined as possible. It is easy to bore Remilia and she is constantly interested in new things. While she is quick to yell at her servants, she does care for and respect them(even though Sakuya sometimes has to entertain even her most odd and childish requests). Remilia is also somewhat arrogant and not above lying to make herself seem more powerful or mysterious, even claiming that she is descended from Dracula. It is, in fact, a total lie. Remilia cares for her younger sister, Flandre, but still insists that she is supervised carefully.

Name: Shujiko Ishi

Species: Youkai

Appearance: Thank you, Rin and White~
Something to note is that, normally, Shujiko's hair and eyes are a dark brown/hazel colour, respectively. The blonde occurs when she's completely fired up and ready to tackle something with all her might. She also wears shorts under her skirt.

Abilities:
Power: Willpower. Basically, she is "I won't give up! I will defeat you no matter what!" taken to ludicrous extremes. No matter how badly she is beaten, how dire the situation, no matter how impossible the outcome she desires, she will not give up until it has been achieved. While this technically allows her to perform past her natural limits,impossible outcomes are still impossible outcomes. Like defeating Yuuka.

Oh and flight and stuff.

Spellcards:
Storm "Arcobaleno Orbita" - Shujiko summons seven orbs that orbit around her and fire different patterns, one at a time. They also work to shield her from attacks, but are all pretty fragile.
Drill "Sky Scorching Drill" - Shuji encloses the opponent in a spiral pattern, and occasionally shoots slightly-larger-than-normal bullets at her opponent.
Excel "Burst Forth" - This pattern throws a curtain of bullets, then a secondary layer focused on her opponent's general location.

Personality:
As a youkai of will, Shujiko is kind of predisposed to being hot-blooded and excitable, especially for battles. However, due to a distinct lack of challenging opponents, she fell into a state of incomprehensible boredom. There are hints of arrogance to her claims that 'none can defeat her', though is mainly because she has yet to find someone that can match her will to fight, or experience a danmaku battle. Especially against someone skilled at them.
Aside from that, Shujiko can be a tad clueless, and is surprisingly easy to fluster. And a horrible liar. She's also liable to idolise anyone that displays even the slightest chance of being insanely powerful.

Background: A recent immigrant to Gensokyo. Shujiko spent most of her 163 years in the Outside World, meeting incredibly few individuals to fight, never mind anyone worth fighting. In the hopes of finding someone worthy to battle, she has traveled to the enclosed country.
