Name:
Yukiko (Meaning 'a thousand generations') Masuyo (Meaning 'Benefit the world')
Age:
17
Alias:
Shakita or Kita
Appearance:
Yukiko is a short 5’4” with deep brown eyes and matching dark brown hair that goes down past her shoulders. Her body is built athletically solid, an ounce of fat on her would be a tough find but that doesn’t go to say that her skin is still soft and feminine. She of course, is Japanese.
Abilities:
Matter Manipulation
Yukiko, having just stumbled upon her power as she has traveled to the United States, can manipulate matter. At first it just started out with turning a glass of water into nothing but an empty cup of air, as the hydrogen and one oxygen molecule were removed, but as she comes to understand her powers more, anything in the universe that has substance and mass/physical form can be manipulated into whatever it is she can understand and imagine.
Skills:
Mixed combat styles
Blade specialist
Stealth
Acrobatic/Flexible
Fluent in three different languages (Japanese, Mandarin and Russian), decent in English and others
Personality Traits:
Firm, Stubborn, Prefers to do things by herself rather than in groups, independent, a little sassy, respectful of leadership and her culture
Backstory:
From the very day that Yukiko was conceived, her fate was already written in stone. Youngest and only girl of six in the Masuyo family, Yukiko was brought up and raised in a family controlled by the Yukuza, a group of transnational organized crime syndicates in Japan. From the moment Yukiko started walking; training had begun honing the small girl into a lethal weapon for the Yukuza’s own personal use. At first her missions consisted of small group missions with her older brothers as ‘debt collectors’, but as the years went on her missions became more physical and daunting.
Yukiko first started questioning her family’s line of work when she was just thirteen years old and two of her brother’s had nearly exposed themselves in their own mission, and as penance they each had to remove the tip of their left little finger as was a customary ritual known as Yubitsume. As Yukiko sat there and watched her brothers disfigure themselves, her doubts began to climb and she tread more carefully from then on.
The years went on and by the time she was sixteen, she had lost three out of the five of her brothers to the Yukaza and it was high-time she thought about wanting to escape. The last mission Yukiko ever did in Japan happened on a cold November night. She had been brought before the boss as suspicions had gone around about Yukiko’s loyalty. There in the room were five men all tied up to chairs, already knocked out and bleeding, and with a room full of Yukuza members the boss ordered her to take the life of one of the prisoners.
“They are nothing but loan sharks, rapists and thieves…” The boss assured her and handed her the sacrificial katana. Yukiko didn’t recognize any one of them, and she knew that if she didn’t do it, someone else would, not to mention if she refused, her own life would have been taken. She pointed to the one who seemed to be in the worst shape and a group of Yukaza took him away to prepare him for the end of his life. When the criminal was brought back, there was a bag over his head and he was put before an alter with his head over the stone.
Yukiko raised the katana, and with one clean swipe had beheaded the criminal; her first kill. But what surprised her even more than taking the life of another was when the sack hit the floor, the head of her very own father rolled out…the Yukaza had swapped bodies! Turns out, Yukiko’s father had been suspected of working for some certain organizations in America, which of course was true and the Yukaza had to put a stop to it. What better way than by making Yukiko a killer as well?
With no way out, Yukiko had been transformed into a killer, forced to be one of the Yukaza’s hit men, threatened that if she ever disobeyed, what was left of her family would be killed as well. Yukiko saw no way out until one day…there was an air raid…
People were being evacuated left and right, women and children were always first. Being mistaken as a common child, Yukiko was rounded up with some others her age and was immediately shipped off to one of their allied countries for safety. But Yukiko didn’t stop there. If her father had connections in America, she knew then that it was America that she needed to be.
