Well, this was going to have the opposite effect of what Cade had probably intended. Oh sure, Angel vs. Angel. It would be a fight to watch, or so they were supposed to believe. But this...this other angel...was just a teenager. What. The. Hell. A frown formed on her face, but she didn't let it get any further than that. So she was expected to take orders from these...these, kids. What kind of a sick joke was this? She literally worked her legs off for these guys, and they give a teenager angel status?! What was she too old? Was she 'broken goods'? This...this infuriated her. She clenched her fists, and tapped one of her feet impatiently. A small electric current ran across her fist as she took a glance at Doctor Blake.

"I doubt it'll be that impressive." She replied to him, masking her agitation with disinterest. [b]"Might as well watch though. Watching someone get the crap beat out of them should be fun."[/i] she relaxed her fist, and stuffed it into her coat instead. She might as well see what they were capable of. Cade didn't seem to confident in his abilities, but he could defeat some kid, right?

"Well, in all honesty..." Dr. Blake glanced back quickly before returning his gaze back to the Angels. "The level of violence was not of our design. Neither one of those two had official guardian powers before their boost to the Angel Project so they pretty much have to rely on their own physical abilities. We gave them a hand by making them more sturdy and supplying access to anything they might need, but the rest is up to them. I'm just here to observe their progress and suggest solutions to any faults I find."

SIlvia stood quietly across from Cade in a way that was infuriatingly calm. Her cold eyes met with his and for a brief moment there was a tense silence. A silence that was broken by Cade's charge, leg swinging out to get SIlvia moving as had happened in many previous fights. Much to his surprise she did not jump away but instead braced herself and caught the leg, pinning it against her side. She stepped back then pushed forward, knocking Cade off balance and sending him toppling over onto his back. When she reached forward to pin him, he caught her wrist and planted a foot firmly on her stomach. Suddenly she was flipping backwards over his head and onto the ground with very little cushioning. The air escaped her lungs with an audible whoosh but didn't stop her from rolling out of the way from Cade's next move. Both were on their feet again, pacing around each other like animals. For a couple of minutes they would pounce near the other to attack, flurries of fists and legs with attacks and counter attacks before they split apart again for a breath. Watching Cade fight was like watching a hunting predator while watching Silvia was equivalent to a dance. It was obvious that she was calm, each move deliberate despite their decreasing power. Cade on the other hand was beginning to lose control of his composure, determined to take Silvia down and win.

Dr. Blake couldn't help but to chuckle at the two. "Charming aren't they. Excuse them, their just excited to have you guys here. Her especially." He took a clear glass tablet out from his pocket and scanned the readings carefully, ears on the guardians in case they had anymore questions to ask.

Hanei remained silent as he watched the others interact, they were quite a noise bunch. While he was curious about these so called angels, he didn't really know that much about them. He wasn't sure if it wasn't explained to him, or he wasn't paying attention when someone was explaining it to him, but it really didn't matter either way at this point. What did matter was that he no longer knew why here was even here. This entire meeting had seemingly gotten off track with everyone going off on tangents. So far, this just looked like some kind of glorified meet and greet to him 'oh well. Not like I have anything better to do today. My life is surprisingly dull for someone with superpowers'

Listening closely to the fight, Sophi slowly walks up to the window. She placed her hand on it as to feel the vibrations from the more powerful impacts. A slightly strained expression passing through her face. Sophia had only been blind a few years and even with everything she has accomplished since then, she still has not attempted any training in hand to hand combat. Though she has slightly above average skills in it from her experience with her previous employment, she doesn't know how to apply her other senses well enough to have the confidence to try. Sophi admired the performance of the two angels with a side of envy, having only thus far relied on her powers to solve her close quarters combat situations.
Sophi quickly shook her self pitying off and went back to the original thoughts that resided in her mind. She turns her head slightly towards the doctor. "Dr. Blake, if we can know, how many active angels does this agency have?" Sophi asks quite forcefully with the intent to reassure this new group of her possible aggressiveness despite her comparringly small frame. She was curious about the angels but wanted a decent first impression with the group.

Blake continued to look at the readings on his tablet as he pondered Sophi's question. "If I remember correctly these are the first and only two on active duty to date. This project is still considered to be in its developmental and experimental phases. Other groups are receiving military escorts because Silvia and Cade are the only Angels ready for field testing. We have others in the works, screenings being done and such things... But none of them have been able to produce the desired results." As he mentioned this his eyes flicked up towards Silvia with an expression of pity before returning to his studies.

Silvia had been thrown yet again by Cade's constant charging, working tirelessly at wearing the girl down. It would have been a success had he not worn himself out in the process. Both Angels stood across from each other breathing heavily, refusing to back down for their own reasons. "Give up Silvia, you won't win this one. If you were going to win, you would have done so by now. Admit it." Cade taunted, trying to anger her despite knowing that it was nearly impossible to do so. "You're missing the point of the exercise, Cade, although you would be correct in assuming I would have won by now under normal circumstances." Cade growled at her response, his taunting attempts only resulting in him riling up. He lunged for her but his tired body was beginning to weaken under his weight. As if in slow motion he watched as Silvia side stepped around his arm, grasping the wrist and sliding her foot around to the back. Then it was over, Cade was laying on the floor staring at the ceiling with a slim, white haired girl pinning him to the ground. "Dr. Blake, I think we're finished here. Have you collected your requested data?" Silvia asked, standing up to leave Cade behind on the floor. He helped himself up and frowned, mocking her behind her back. "Freaking robot. How do you do win every damn time? Everything you know about fighting I taught you." He couldn't wrap his mind around the fact that he had lost yet another fight against a teenage girl. Granted she was the result of a science experiment, but a young girl all the same. Silvia just shrugged slightly, grabbing a towel to dry her face and neck.

Becca watched the fight, completely, and utterly bored. What the hell was this? Were they just going to use physical combat? As far as she could tell, neither of them deserved such a title as they had. These so called 'angels'...she could kick both of their asses, at the same time. That guy, Cade, would be easy. She wasn't so sure about Silvia, but the human body could only stand so many volts of electricity before it fried. She folded her arms on her chest, thoroughly displeased at the display. She expected a much...larger, more, grand battle. This hadn't made her any more confident in either of them. Perhaps the rumors were just that, rumors. Put out there to make whoever was behind the disappearance and the other illegal activity think twice before messing with them.

Whatever the case, Becca was not happy in the slightest. She tapped her foot impatiently and glared at both of them. If working under these two were her orders, then she'd follow them, but she wouldn't be happy about it. Not at all.

Rao watched the display of physical prowess with a hint of interest, but as it came to its rather expected conclusion, Rao let his thoughts slip from his lips. "I had honestly hoped Cade would have won. But after observing his combat style, he lets desperation and or pride's influence his move set. In addition, I had hoped to see abilities..." Rao did enjoy the fact that Cade seemed to be her teacher at one point, but his inferiority shows a lack of ingenuity, and it was almost childlike how he desired a win. Turning towards the rather aged woman, well its not that she looked old to Rao, its just she had a tired look. Her emotions where rather exposed, she was unimpressed even bored. Seeing as Rao was unable to question Cade or the other angel he asked the woman instead.
"May I ask what you where expecting to see miss? I know my disappointment stems from an immature curiosity, but yours makes wonder how one could be so unimpressed." Rao's purple eyes locked on Becca, making it unquestionable, that he had been speaking to her.

"What was I hoping from it?" She said with obvious agitation, giving a look at the man who had spoke to her. Becca was more than a happy to share her views on this farce of a 'fight'. "Something that proved that these kids weren't just kids and someone I could take orders from without questioning their every decision. They're kids. They can't make good tactical decisions." It was the truth. She didn't think they were competent for such a position. "Make a good tactical decision? Oh, you mean like you did? The one that got-" The little voice in her head came out of nowhere, and she forced it out of her head before it could say anything else.

"Hmph. These so called 'angels' look weak to me. Cade just got his ass thoroughly kicked. I could take him out in a heart beat. Not so sure about Silvia, but a human body can only take so many volts before it fries them. I wanted them to impress me. They both failed on all accounts." She finished her little rant and turned back to the two Angels. She hoped he was listening, because she wasn't going to repeat herself or make a habit out of talking bad about her superiors. It wasn't all that bothered her about the two, obviously, but she wasn't about to share everything with some guy she hardly knew, and probably will never know.

"Hey," Thomas said, walking up behind Sophia and putting a hand on her shoulder. "No need to get worked up. We work for the government, and they may not always make the right choices with everything, but with the Guardians, they seem to have been on the right track the whole time." He flashed a quick smile as he flushed a wave of calmness over her. Fear was simply a lack of being calm, right? All he had to do was focus hard enough and he could reverse his power, allowing a calming effect to emminate. It took a LOT more effort, and he doubted he could use it in a pinch, but for these kinds of situations, the effort was necessary.
"Look, I may not be AS upset as you are that we are working for a teenager and a young man, but I am still a little baffled and annoyed by the aspect. But as I stated before, we work for the government. There is honestly nothing we can do, so we might as well accept it, okay?"

Flint couldn't help over hear the rant and finally decided to voice his opinion. "I don't see how being able to beat them in a fight is really going to be helpful." he said irritated "Our goal here is to catch criminals and to prevent crime. We don't have to be able to break someone's arm or kill someone with a punch. If we do that how does that make us any better then them!" Flint scrunched his fists in anger. He was fighting his power which was trying to manipulate those around him. He stopped most of it but a small amount of manipulation may have gotten through. It wouldn't effect anyone who completely disagreed with his point but it might start raising peoples anger just as Flint was getting. "Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster" He quoted, his eyes where fixated towards Becca.

Rao raised a brow, though the comment was clearly meant for 'becca' Rao himself finds oddly insulted at the quote. Rather than wait for her to retort, he finds himself bashing down the statement. "Allow me to interject. How is she to take them seriously if they, in her eyes, are so weak. As you so boldly put just a moment ago. A monster is what we are trying to subdue, do you really want to follow a child into battle against it?" Rao tries to refrain from aggression in his tone or what could be sarcasm. However the tendrils beneath his loose clothes begin to shift about in such a manner as to sound as if hissing and shrieking. "While I can understand your attempts to hold onto moral standings, I must inform you that all of us here do not find ourselves wasting time with such silly sentiment. " Rao pops his neck and with that, his trace amounts of malice all but vanishes. "Monster....Such a cute word. Next you will suggest that their is an omnipresent being in the sky with some bizarre plan for everyone." Rao actually cracked a half smirk, before turning away from the group to look at the angels once more. His eyes working to dissect them.

"I wouldn't call early twenties children." Flint muttered angrily, He was only twenty two after all "And I feel that age should only take effect because it means they have not lived as long as others and may not have experienced more and therefore have less knowledge, brute strength isn't all that's important and I feel that we haven't been showed the leadership skills of these angels yet. I don't judge a book by its cover and I don't judge a person by their age" By this point Flint had stopped holding back his power his inner feelings breaking out into his speech. "A monster is something that brings fear or physical harm through its appearance and/or actions. Monsters are very much real, many would call us monsters. But the common man also can become monsters, Greed, hunger, lust can all bring about the dark side within us. We don't have to have tentacles growing out of our backs to be deemed a monster." Flint began to sweat a little, he was getting himself worked up and he knew that his power was going crazy because of it.

The word rang over and over in Thomas' head. Monster. The voices seemed to grow louder at each time it echoed. Finally, they started speaking full sentences while the word continued to repeat in the back.
"Don't deny it, Thomas. You're a monster."
"No!" Thomas shouted in his mind, not wanting to actually shout aloud as a response. "I am not a monster! I will not succumb to your will!"
But it was too late. The calming wave Thomas hd sent out had weakened him and his will. He looked around. Everyone started morphing into demons in his eyes. Beasts of myth and legend. "Stoppit stoppit. Stop it! STOP IT!" That last one came out loud rather than in his mind. Thomas looked around. He had broken the vision, but he also had put himself in an awkward position. Thinking fast, he quickly tried to recover. "Stop fighting. All that this will do is make us look like ACTUAL children. Obviously, if any of us weren't chosen, it was for a reason. These two were put in the leadership spot BECAUSE they showed a sense of leadership. Like I said before. We work for the government. They seem to choose right each time, but we can't question it, so why don't we just TRY and get along?"

"If you want to get specific, I'm 19." Silvia had been listening to the conversation since Blake's face had indicated a negative environment. He always had been uncomfortable around negativity. She stepped around Cade and into the hallway, plucking off the monitors and handing them to the doctor. "And if it's powers that you wanted to see you'll have to wait for group exercises. The Angel's are designed as shields not warlords, and tactical decisions are best made as a team, individualized for each unique situation. You are both old enough and experienced enough to work things through on your own, it is why you are here with an experimental project and not another team." Her voice was flat and she held no facial expression, but there was a miniscule flash behind her eyes as her body reacted to the negative stimuli. She glanced at Thomas with a sense of curiosity that should not have been there. "Even monsters don't have to be bad. Just look at me, do I seem all that bad to you?"

Thomas shook his head. "No. In fact, at first glance, I would have deemed you harmless." He flashed a smile and drew in closer, putting his face near the Angel's. "How did you know what was going on in my head?" He was baffled that anyone would know what was going on anytime his power started feeding into him. He tried so desperately to shield anyone else from experiencing his own pain. It didn't leak during that last attack, did it?

Rao listens intently, words around with so many different meanings, and the gestures and tones shifting as if ships on the high seas. So fascinating. Rao focus shifted to 'Thomas' and instantly began speculating about the mental condition he may suffer from, its not obvious but something about him. Such a pained attempt to seem fine indicates they are not. More observation is required, perhaps some query later. The little girl that had made short work of Cade just moments ago, her words rang hollow, but not because of lies. No she lacked..."I would have not seen her as a 'monster' but I would see her as a poor actress. With your form and attire I would think you a terrible assassin, or perhaps a talented call girl. Could I get you to read poetry later? I feel the experience would form a valuable insight."

"I'm not a mind reader if that's what you're asking. It was simply a connection I made between the topic of conversation and your personnel file. That and I've seen that look in your eyes before, a long time ago." Silvia looked away as if remembering something, Cade raising an eyebrow behind her. "What she means to say is that the chip that they implanted in our heads has the capability of sorting through vast amounts of information at any given moment. All it took was a quick facial recognition to pull up your files, which contain everything known about you, and a comparison with past events makes for an accurate and educated guess." Dr. Blake whacked the back of Cade's head, the man flinching and rubbing the sore spot. "Hey, what was that for?" Blake shook his head and looked at the group. "Experimental is the key word in this project... Please do your best not to kill them before we can perfect them." Silvia glanced over at Rao lazily. "I think I'll pass, thank you."

With her arms folded over each other, Sophi repeated the fight in her head to hopefully extract some helpful tips. Then a worried expression slid across her face as she kept listening to the debate over the term of monster. The idea never actually crossed her mind before now. Of all, she chose to accept Flint's reasoning as it fits her idealism. Though remembering the things she had done as a mercenary, some of the missions were quite questionable and possibly made her a monster in the eyes of the victims. Trying to focus on something else, Sophi had just remembered something. Moving close to the doctor she asks " Dr. Blake, whenever the tour is finished and you have free time could I come by so you can fix my hearing augment, it's been acting up." Sophi says in a low voice as to not cause any embarrassment in front of everyone, especially the angels to whom she had difficulty feeling any emotional responses from.

From the back of the group came a small, light and airy chuckle.

"Disgusting..."

Anya had watched the fight and she had pulled her judgments on both Angels.

"We are expected to defend one of these two angels, yes...? Why defend a perfect being who obviously has no trouble defending herself?" When she spoke, she looked at Silvia. It was obvious her expression was as though she were looking more at an object than a person. "If I am to defend the rights of man, I would prefer to defend one whom can feel, be flawed, and possess the ability to empathize. Not a heartless, flawless machine."

[I'll take this next part out if its incorrect as far as location but from what I understand they're all in the same room together ^^']

Anyas golden gaze turned to Cade, and she held out a soft, open palm towards him from where he stood across the room. "I see the potential for a Hero within Cade, alone."

Cade winked towards Anya, earning a disapproving scowl from Blake. "As much as I'd love to agree with you, I'm afraid you're mistaken. I am nothing but a simple lab rat meant only to pledge my life to the guardians of the city." He bowed as he spoke but he could feel the ice radiating from Silvia. The machine in Blake's hands began to act up, him tapping at the screen furiously. "For the love of..." Silvia stared at Anya with an ice about her that had not existed before. "You shouldn't speak about things you know nothing about. Perfection does not exist and I am not a machine." Blake cried out as his tablet crashed, the screen going blank. Cade glanced at Silvia with wonder She promptly turned and stalked down the hall, ignoring the group behind her as she processed the events. A slow whistle escaped Cade's mouth, a twisted smile forming as he thought. "Well done, couldn't have managed that better myself. You ought to teach me your secret." The doctor nodded towards Sophi and spoke quietly, "Yeah, bring them by before you go sleep for the night. I'll be in the lab, just follow signs for it." He was distracted by his broken tablet, looking distraught by its fault.
