That's just in terms of game mechanics and them not wanting spells that could be fight breaking used on bosses.

Real life is not a game (and even if it does take place in another world completely fictional it is still real life XD)

Well, if I were a boss character, I'd pretty much make sure that I'd be immune to instant death spells.

Doesn't mean that it still can't be used to whammy a villain and throw him off his game.

Lucus isn't going to die. But eventually he has to admit that there are too many and flees. Or he gets defeated and flees.

Also Belle was totally ignored by Joshua.

Serin is going all out, using all his mana and skills in the single moment of this opening

Well, technically you wouldn't be instantly dead. It would be an eternity of your entire body ripping apart molecule by molecule due tro the intense gravitational force and time dilation. It only seems like it's instant to everyone else :p

Of course. This is what happens when you pit one character against more than a dozen characters.

I was hoping it was because every character grew to unconditionally hate him.

It just has to be that Lucus can't win against this many people. He may be very strong, but no one could manage this.But my chars are certainly going to mess him up.

Yea, that's also a thing. Everyone there does irrevocably hate Lucus more than anything else right now, which is why everyone is pounding the ever loving crap out of him, some even trying to kill him (like Rose for instance, or so I assume)

Did Lucus die before? I don't exactly know the entire story behind that (I did at one point, but I forgot)
