I am sorry, but I am not comfortable with a portion of the backstory, near the end. The fact that she was raped and it is essentially just a side-note in her backstory makes me very uncomfortable.

In addition, while this RP is serious and I do not mind some darker elements(not enough to negate light elements and comic relief, however), I feel that element is too dark.

I dunno, a masterless Doll could be an interesting character concept. Gives a kinda ronin like feel.

Doll:

Name: Xenophane
Gender: Male

Personality: Xenophane is a doll who seems emotionless at first glance. He is actually thoughtful and sometimes kind, but he doesn't show it very often. To his enemies, he is cruel and calculating. He enjoys figuring out his opponents weaknesses and using it against them. He is sometimes referred to as "The Desert Reaper" because of his cold nature.
Abilities: Xenophane uses sand to kill his enemies. He can turn parts of his body into sand and then manipulate that sand. He loses control after the sand gets 30 yards or more away. He controls the sand using his mind and will. He can also turn the sand back into body parts. He enjoys leaving the opponent in severe pain and eventual death.
Weapons: His body. He can turn his body into sand and manipulate it at will. He can compact the sand making it hard or sharp.
Misc: Xenophane has occasionally been know to kill the possessed person as well as the possessor, even when he could have saved the human. He believes that humans who were once possessed have a greater risk of being possessed again.

Dolls can't act in the world without an anchor, and if their Master is killed, they die. There are ways to sever a Doll and a Doll Master without either dying, but the Doll is forced back to where they came from.

Edit: I would like some more information on what kind of gas he can use and how he makes them, as well as how much exposure is required for it to be lethal.

The issue I'm seeing currently is that it's a bit strange that anyone would train their child to fight Marionettes when almost no-one but Doll Hunters believes they exist.

So you're saying that NO ONE other than doll hunters are suspicious of the existence of marionettes?

Some might be suspicious, I just doubt there would be anyone putting people through combat training for it. ^^;

It's not necessarily for hunting them specifically. It's just basic training so if one ever did attack she wouldn't go down so easily and have a basic knowledge of how to fight and defend herself.

It's more likely any combat training would be primarily for other concerns, at least, even if part of it is in case Marionettes are real.

Backstory: Since his early childhood, he had been taken in to work as a servant for a certain family of wealth…due to his general success, and observed work ethic; he was chosen to be trained to eventually replace the head butler, upon the elder man’s retirement. As live in help, he is still given a fair amount in wages to do with as he pleases...he is currently buying more parts to fix up and complete his project automobile, with a help from the more mechanically talented staff.
