Twix had seen the bandit preparing to climb the ladder of a building a while down the street, the building he'd thought a local could be firing from but there was nothing much he could do, he could try for a shot but at this range he'd be lucky to land a shot within a meter of the target, he was considering sneaking closer when a pair of legs swung out from atop the building, the bandit jumped up and dragged them down but the local seemed to have everything under control, after a moment of hesitation he'd grabbed a bat of some sort and beaten the bandit bloody.

Twix, still in his hiding place watched the man run past on his way to Taffy's, he looked a little worse for wear after his tumble but the rifle over his shoulder promised to be useful this night, Twix would leave this Flint fellow to bring the man into the plan, Twix wasn't so good at introducing himself.

Flint and Taffy cautiously moved through the back alley before Taffy heard a familiar voice
"Taffy, it's me, Adrian! Don't shoot, I'm coming to help!"
The voice said as the man ran into the alleyway Flint and Taffy where in. Instinctively, despite the warning, Taffy blasted towards the man. Clearing a large chunk of concrete next to him. "Oh its you" Taffy said softly blushing slightly at her trigger happy nature. Reloading the spent round,Keeping the empty shell for reloading at a later date. Flint noticed this and felt like an idiot for not doing the same thing with his own bullet casings. "Where off to team up with Twix the man I stole the hat off" Taffy said to Adrian as they heard movement behind them. People where ransacking Taffys shop and one walked out the back door. Noticing The trio up the alleyway "WE GOT TOURISTS OVER HERE" The bandit yelled as he lifted his rifle to his shoulder, a old fashioned musket with a mean looking bayonet on the end, He pulled the trigger, the lead ball whizzing through the air at high speeds. Skipping past Taffys head and ripping through Flints right ear lobe. Flint yelled angrily in pain. Gritting his teeth as he held his ear with his right hand. Firing hap hazardly with his revolver towards the gunshot. The bandit ducked in his cover and attempted to quickly reload as Flint and Taffy began to run again. Flints ear bled heavily.

Myra glanced over at her bodyguard expressing confusion. "Mines? What are you on about?" The girl pondered what exactly lead this guy here and deduced that this wasn't the only bandit assault in this man's memory. Her expression changed from confusion to a more solemn one. "Your town sank, didn't it?"

Myra straightened herself out as she looked over at her bodyguard. "Let's get our job done her and let's bolt, Dumb. If these are the same ruffians that sank this guy's place, I want to be far away from here when that happens." She whispered as she dragged her bodyguard to the front door. "Good luck tin man!" She hollered as she pushed Dumb out the door. The streets were just as she left them. Bloody and in chaos, but frankly she didn't care. She waited the stashed loot next door in a place called Taffy's. However, Myra's plan of using the chaos of the bandit attack was oh so rudely interrupted by a change of course.

As Myra and Dumb crept to the side of the Pumphouse, they peaked around the corner to see if the coast was clear. Unfortunately it wasn't as a trio was positioned in the tight quarters of the alleyway. "Shit ... We'll try the front door." She whispered hysterically at her companion. In the midst of passing by the alley, someone must have come out from Taffy's and the two parties engaged each other. "Hurry! If we are lucky this will draw everyone outside!"

Myra and Dumb pressed on past Taffy's door and reached the opposite side of the building and away from the firefight. Myra and Dumb took their positions close to the front and eyeballed the front door. For a few seconds nothing moved until a shadowy figure burst through the door. It was tough to see but he lugged a sack full of clanging objects and he had his gun drawn. The figure crept along the front of the store and took his position on the corner overlooking the trio. He was in a perfect position to flank...

"Ah shit. .." Myra said to herself as took but a brief moment to take in everything. Chances were those people in the alleyway were innocent and the man that was flanking was a looter of some kind, judging from the bag. She couldn't let those three get flanked like this. So reluctantly, Myra turned the corner, took aim, and fired three shots from her sidearm. At least one of them hit because the man fell forward and prostrated himself on the ground, bleeding out most likely.

Bang. Bang. Bang. Three aimed shots, one miss. Dorjan took cover behind a scrap metal sheet which had been turned into a waist-high fence by the settlers of Aurora's End. He cursed the matter that he had one 9mm handgun midst a frenzy of automatic rifle fire. Luckily, with Dorjan's money when he entered the settlement, he had bought more bullets from a shopkeeper named Taffy. It was better than the single bullet he'd had upon entry but Dorjan noticed as he slipped the magazine from his gun that he was running low on bullets, there couldn't be anymore than three shots left, and the wanderer had no more bullets.

Crawling along the length of the metal sheet, Dorjan only showed himself again once he had reached it's end popping up and taking aim. Bang. Thankfully the shot hadn't been a miss, he'd been surprisingly on target with the bullet entering the raider's skull, a pink mist ensued as the lifeless body slumped to the ground in a mess of flesh and metal and leather armor. Dorjan took three deep breaths before raising from the fence again, a number of shots from one of the bandit's rifle, narrowly missing his head. Bang. Another raider felled, this one was shot through the chest and in a spectacular fashion fell into an old car, long since useless, slumped against the side of the front door.

Looking up Dorjan could see a man down the street from himself, taking aim as if to shoot him down, the wanderer realized this was not a bandit, but someone aiding in the fight against the raiders. As far as Dorjan could see, the man was pinned down. Through bullet spray and carnage, Dorjan sprinted towards the car and dived, leading into a roll before coming to the car, almost planting himself into the vehicle. Coming to his senses he took the AK-47 assault rifle that the last bandit he'd killed had been using. His heartbeat raising, it had been a long time since he'd used any hardware like this. Checking the magazine, Dorjan let out a little triumphant hiss, "Yes!" As he stood, aimed and once again fired, this time into the crowd of those who were pinning down the man he had not yet encountered (Jason).

Takatakatakatakatak.

A short burst of assault rifle fire led the raiders surrounding Jason's position to take more cover, now from the flanking attack of Dorjan, as well as the fire being hailed by Jason.

Takatakatak.

Another even shorter burst, felled his first raider of this group.

Jason had to be one of the luckiest human beings on the planet. The quick presentation of what was supposed to have soon been his past life was interrupted as what he could only assume was another citizen of the town popped up from behind a car behind the raiders and started spraying them with the 7.62 rounds from an AK-47 he or she was wielding. One of the three bandits was hit and down straight away and the other two were so surprised they stopped firing for a second, too shocked to react properly. They were well and truly fucked now, flanked on both sides by people who wanted them very dead. Jason took the opportunity by the balls; throwing down the rifle and quickly drawing his trusty revolver. He brought the weapon up and aimed at the bandit closest to him; squeezing off a shot and sending a round into the targets chest, dropping him immediately. Before Jason could line up another shot the last bandit in the small crew of three was struck by the bullets coming from Jason's saviour.

Not wanting to waste any time of his newly gifted life Jason got up and sprinted over to the three men that they had taken down. All three were silent and dead, which was good for Jason. He didn't feel like any more mercy killing. He quickly inspected the weapons that had fallen next to them or in one case were even still in their hands. The one still in the bandits hands was the one Jason wanted. It was a Remington 870 with a saddle on the side that told him it was a twelve gauge. A beautiful weapon. Jason grabbed it and pulled but to his utter shock the bandits eyes opened. Jason nearly crapped himself but pulled with all his might, yanking the shotgun out of the dying blokes hands before quickly aiming at his head and pulling the shotguns trigger. It was a messy sight even in the darkness. Jason pumped one more time before pulling the sling over his head and leaning down, checking the man's pockets for more rounds. He only found a few, but they were very valuable. Pocketing them Jason finally got up and moved toward the person who had saved him.

“Hey, thank you!” Jason spoke, trying to make sure not to come across as aggressive. Saving his life didn't mean the man wasn't jumpy. “You clearing the town? If so, I'm with you, but first I need you to check me real quick for wounds...” Jason was aware of how strange he sounded but he doubted now was the time to explain.

"They may be from the same group... but all the ones that attacked us are dead...Made sure of that," Garsin stated as he tried wearily to stand. He swung his sword a few times, making sure he could still use it effectively. Satisfied he went over to the bar, placed a few dollars behind the counter and grabbed a bottle. He lifted his helmet enough to take a swig, sighing in satisfaction, and then used it on a new wound on his arm. he then wrapped it up with some cloth from the decorations of his armor and tied it. To him, he was ready to continue.

He marched back outside of the Pumphouse and picked up is pistol that he found on the ground. He walked over to the bandit the was dying from Myra's shots and brought the sword point down on the man's head. He pulled it out and was cleaning it with the cloth at his side when he spoke up. "It was me and eight other men... Out of the forty bandits that raided us, none of them survived. But it seems...nobody from my town did either." With that, he marched off, ready to kill any bandit with just fist and sword.

"Oh thank God that you weren't..." Adrian managed to tell Taffy and the man that had run to Taffy's earlier, before Taffy instinctively pulled the trigger of her proud shotgun, the pellets plunging themselves into the concrete wall next to him. Adrian jumped to the side in shock, watching Taffy as she suddenly realized it was just Adrian who had come to help them. When Taffy said back that they were on their way to team up with Twix, the drunk with the hat, for an counter-attack Adrian thought must it have been. Adrian smiled as he saw a light at the end of the tunnel, they could now push back the bandits.

-"We got tourists over here!" a voice from behind the duo shouted out, and with that a bandit came out of Taffy's back door, firing what must have been a musket. The bullet must have hit the man beside Taffy, because he was yelling out in pain and grabbing his ear, but luckily he was able to shoot back at the bandit with his revolver. "Run! I'll cover you! Just run!" Adrian yelled to Taffy and the man, raising his revolver to give them some covering fire. Click. Click. His revolver didn't shoot, and Adrian knew he didn't have time to reload it or just check it, so he quickly placed the revolver back in its holster as he remembered he had a rifle around his shoulder.

The rifle was a bolt-action rifle, it seemed 20th century from its design, but the most interesting part of it was a box on the right side of the bolt unlike other rifles. Adrian didn't have time to fiddle with it, and lifted the rifle up against his shoulder, aiming at the cover the bandit had ducked in. He pulled the trigger and felt the rifle give off a kick, a satisfying force against his shoulder, and hit the corner of the cover, surely giving the bandit second thoughts on popping his head out. "Come on, run!" Adrian continued to shout, pulling back the bolt and placing another round into the chamber of the rifle, firing another shot. Soon Adrian was behind the man and Taffy who had made their way past him, and after them followed Adrian who by now had emptied the rifle, not knowing how to load it. "Nice to see some friendly faces out here. Name's Adrian Whitestone, what's yours? And any idea how to load this rifle?"

Shooting had broken out at both ends of street brining Twix's headache back to the fore, the shooting from the direction of Taffy's was louder and he figured he wouldn't be seeing Flint any time soon, The door of an abandoned building with boarded up windows on the opposite side of the street to the clearing Twix was concealed in burst open disturbing Twix's pondering's, a man clad in a black coat, face concealed by bandanna peered out, he glanced up and down the street then took a covering position by the doorframe, covering the street with a rifle of some kind, another man came out the building then, a similar bandanna covering his face but in-place of a coat he only wore a loose fitting shirt, This one carried the easily recognizable shape of an AK-47, he crossed the road in a crouch run and took up position crouched covering down the street towards Taffy's.

Twix didn't move, the man was perhaps 2 meters away, on the other side of his scrap cover, if the man but stood up he'd see Twix instantly. If Twix hit this man the other one still at the doorframe would have an easy shot at him, if he tried to take the one at the door the one on the other side of the scrap would be on him in moments.

The situation grew worse a moment later as a third man left the building and began moving towards Twix's position, still covered by the one at the door.

Twix had to act, the new man was angling slightly away from the one already in the clearing and in a moment he'd have Twix in his sight.

Twix pushed himself up and dived over the pile of scrap, he took the man crouched on the other side completely unaware's and his hunting knife opened a bloody smile across the man's neck, Twix was rolling away as soon as he hit the ground beside the new corpse, dirt sprang up from the ground all around him as the man at the door frame opened fire, the one crossing the street broke into a run, raising his gun as he did, just not quick enough. Twix had left his knife with the first man, now he held his pistol with 13 rounds out in-front of him as he rolled to cover, 9 shots rang out in quick succession and the man crossing the street fell coughing blood from a lung shot. The man at the door had stopped firing, Twix had rolled and scrambled into a shallow depression in the ground and the man would have to come closer to get a decent shot, which left them at a bit of an impasse, as for Twix to shoot back he had to reveal himself. Twice he tried for the shot only to quickly dive for cover as a hail of bullets flew overhead, he was getting desperate now, he'd tried his luck and wasted 2 bullets, he had 2 left. He wasn't going to get a better shot pinned as he was, he'd have to try his luck again, he leaned up, took aim and shot twice to no visible effect, unless the whizzing of bullets passing too close overhead for comfort counted.

*Click*

The hollow sound rang out over the clearing, Twix was on his feet running before he'd even fully realized what it meant, the click of an empty magazine. The man clearly knew as-well for as he saw Twix coming he dropped the gun and went for a wicked looking knife at his side. With all his strength Twix flung his empty gun at the man, it flew past his head and uselessly bounced off into the abandoned house. The man drew the knife, and Twix slowed, he have to be clever about this, the man stalked closer and Twix backed away keeping an eye on his opponents hands, one on his feet. The man darted forward clearly expecting Twix to back up faster, perhaps even fall. Twix reversed his retreat and jumped forward to meet the man, the man's blade came in on Twix's right slashing for his chest, Twix caught the blade on his arm, the sharp blade cut through his thick coat easily and his teeth clenched involuntarily as the knife scored across his forearm, leaving a deep slash. Twix's left arm snapped forward taking the man in the gut, as the man leaned forward Twix made a grab for the knife, his right hand closed on the man's knife wrist but couldn't pry the knife away, an iron grip closed around his collar the the man tried to bodily throw Twix away from him, Twix held on for dear life as the man flung him about, Twix's feet connected with the ground again and quick as a snake Twix had his own grip on the man, instead of trying to force the man Twix fell backwards using the man's momentum for his attack, as Twix's back hit the ground he raised his foot into the man's midriff and pushed, the man who had been falling towards Twix was now pushed up and over landing on his back, winded 'above' Twix. Twix was on him before the man could recover his breath, still he didn't have it all his own way, the man had taken the knife with him and Twix cursed in pain as it skated across his ribs drawing a line of fire across his chest, he had to end this quickly, sitting astride the man Twix pinned the knifehand again, using his better position to pin it well, the man's other hand grabbed for Twix's face but slipped off the sleek gasmask, Twix in need of a weapon ripped the mask off his face and, ignoring the hand reaching for his face he brought the mask down hard, the solid metal of the filtercase left a deep gauge over the man's eye, a few blows later and the nose had lost shape. Twix kept hitting til the man no longer struggled, then he slipped sideways and lay down beside him. the bloodstain on his chest was growing steadily as was the one on his arm, luckily Twix thought they hadn't hit any vitals, still they stung like a bitch and he was losing a lot of blood, now he just had to wait for Flint to get back with Taffy, his eyes fluttered and then closed, the warm embrace of unconsciousness taking him.

Garsin saw the door to a local shop was busted wide open and he decided to go investigate. He could have sworn he heard gunshots near here.

"We got tourists over here!" a voice shouted.

"How nice of you to tell me where you are, " Garsin muttered to himself. He walked through the building and saw that it must be an ammo store. He lumbered over toward the back door and a man with a musket swung around in shock. Garsin had his sword sheathed. With it being a little on the crowded side, it wouldn't be much use to him. The bandit, however, didn't think of that. He panicked in the middle of reloading and tried to use his bayonet on the steel giant before him. Th thrust the bayonet towards Garsin, but he was expecting that. Using the outer armor of his left gauntlet, he hit the side of the bayonet away, and the grabbed it in his hand. He then jerked the rifle toward himself more so that the bandit would overextend and lose his balance. At that moment, Garsin stepped forward with his right foot and followed through with a wicked straight punch to the man's face, instantly breaking his nose with ease. Instinctively, the man went to grab at his nose as he fell backwards. Garsin dropped the musket and picked up the man by the throat, lifting him up in the air. He then reared back and slammed the man's head through the was, so it was visible on the outside. The body was limp and the pulse had faded away as Garsin slowly made his way out the door. He looked at the few people outside, they didn't look like bandits to him. "Any others" he said mildly. He was feeling the effects of exerting himself. Any longer in this state, and he may be seeing his town again soon. As soon as the thought crossed his mind, his vision started blurring on him again and he fell to one knee.

Utter bewilderment. That's how Myra would describe the last few minutes. The tin man reemerged from his wounded state and had just finished off the man who Myra planted a round or two in. She could hear him mumbling something but his helmet and the constant gunfire made it difficult to hear. "What? What do you want?!" Myra shouted as she looked around. He had to have been talking to her but before an answer came, the man barged into Taffy's. Puzzled at what was happening, Dumb and Myra looked at each other for a moment before glancing back to the empty store front.

The two of them sat there for a moment trying to break the moment's pause when Myra finally directed the two. "Works for me, I guess? Grab that bandit's bag and meet me inside. We'll grab more of this stuff and bolt out of here before anyone else can stop us!"

With his orders, Dumb waddled on over in a crouched position and retrieved the bag. Meanwhile, Myra watched the action inside Taffy's from the entrance. The tin man dispatched the lone looter in a sort of flashy way before darting out into the alleyway. Most opportune considering the shop was now empty. "Come on idiot! Hurry up the story is empty!" She said under her voice. Dumb hastened his progress and the two darted inside and slipped behind the counter where they started rummaging through various cabinets, grabbing whatever they could.

Flint was running, gritting his teeth as he shoved his revolver in his jacket and removed the cotton bandage from the satchel on his side, circling his head as the shooting behind him stopped and Adrian caught up with them asking for names and how to load the firearm he was holding. Flint didn't answer his teeth too clamped down to stop himself yelling out from his injury. He just grabbed adrians rifle and opened the bolt pointing to where the ammunition would normally be inserted but then looking confused as it was no ordinary bolt action, they ended up where twix and flint had first met "Where the hell is he now.." Flint wondered

Viktor saw that the chaos was beginning to die down enough to where he could deem it safe to leave the safety of the alleyway next to the inn scattered amongst some of the abandoned buildings. After wandering around in the dark maze of the abandoned part of town for a few minutes Viktor eventually found himself back on the main street where the Pumhouse was. Viktor proceeded down the street hugging the side of the buildings until he came across one with boarded up windows and bodies sprawled across the ground in front of it. Viktor thought why the hell not and began looting the bodies to his heart's content. All he managed to find on the two raider bodies in front of the building was a filter for his gas mask, a spare clip for his pistol, and a pistol in surprisingly good condition. The guns the bandits had were damaged to the point where they were too costly to repair for their value. Viktor looked into the street and saw two more bodies and decided to give it a shot.

He crept out into the street and noticed upon closer inspection only one of the men were dressed as a bandit. The other Viktor thought he recognized earlier from the day. "Poor bastard," Viktor said quietly to himself. Viktor crouched down to take whatever useful items the raider had on him, finding next to nothing. Viktor took one more look at the man next to the raider and shortly realized holy shit, this man isn't dead. Viktor saw the man's abdomen rise just the slightest bit, and fall the same amount. How subtle the breathing was VIktor figured it was a miracle that he noticed it.

Viktor rushed over to the man and made an initial inspection to his wounds. After checking to make sure he didn't have any spinal injuries, Viktor immediately began tightly wrapping the man's bleeding arm with a combination of the cloth and bandanna he found on the raider's body. It would have to do for now. After getting the only apparent serious wound on the man semi-patched up, Viktor grabbed the man's uninjured arm and the opposite leg in order to bring the man up into a fireman's carry. He headed for the Pumphouse, not sure where else to turn to.

Upon Viktor's entry, he set the man down on one of the sturdier looking tables. He began looking behind the bar after turning up nothing, in the stores in the back. He found a small makeshift first aid kit which contained what he needed, gauze and disinfectant. He hurried back over to the man and, against medical practice, removed the makeshift bandage which had already came loose from the travel over to the building. He open the disinfectant and poured it into the wound. After that he began properly dressing the wound with the roll of gauze as tight as he could to help stop the bleeding, which seemed to be what was happening. When Viktor finished, he grabbed one of the dirty looking bottles of water from behind the counter and poured it onto the man's face, effectively waking him up.

Twix was falling down and down, darkness surrounded him, he couldn't see anything, he could land in a moment or a year-

Cold water splashed across his face, the falling stopped abruptly and Twix remembering where last he lay flung himself sideways.

All well and good, if he had not been lying on a table. He hit the floor with a clatter of falling chairs and maybe a glass or two.

"MOTHER FUCK"

From his fantastic vantage point on the floor Twix thought he recognized the Pumphouse, empty now apart from him and hopefully his rescuer. The good news was his headache had burned out, the bad news was self evident in the bandages rapping his wounds, he grimaced as he stood up.

Across the table stood his rescuer, scraggly beard/stubble and all.

Twix was slightly dismayed to find he'd lost his Gun, Knife and Gasmask, luckily when he reached up to his head he found his bobble hat still in place and when his stomach sent up it's protests at being ignored for so long he found his rabbit, slightly worse for wear hanging off his belt.

Twix's eyes met his rescuers across the table and he let his mouth quirk upwards in a smile

"Hey, names Twix, seems like I owe you thanks?" He gestured to the bandages, introductions began Twix picked up one of the chairs he'd knocked down, clenching his teeth at the sharp spike of pain it elicited from his chest, Twix seated himself and tore a piece off the rabbit, after wiping it clear of dirt on his coat he popped it in his mouth.

Adrian was given back his rifle by the man with still no name, the confused look on both their faces, as well as Taffy told him that this was not an ordinary rifle. But he felt obliged to figure it out, and besides, it was his rifle now, it was no way that someone was simply going to tell him to give it away, it wasn't like the bandit would demand it now that he was dead. Was it?

"I don't know, he could be anywher...wait, is that blood?" Adrian asked him as they stood where they were supposed to meet up with the drunk with the hat, when he saw a thin trail of blood lead down the street, headed towards the Pumphouse. Beside the blood was the battered corpse of a bandit with a bloody gasmask that Adrian only imagined had been used to smash in the bandit's face, and another body with a knife sticking out of his back. "He's one tough guy, I'll give him that, but if he's bleeding out then he doesn't have long. He must be in the Pumphouse, let's check."

Adrian grabbed the bloody gasmask and the knife as he run for the Pumphouse, not knowing what to except. But as he stepped inside, he saw a friendly conversation between the drunk he had given his hat back and a beardy guy. "Hey, it's you, the guy with the rabbits! Remember me, I got your hat back?" Adrian said cheerfully to Twix, holding forward the gasmask and the knife. "Are these yours? You should get that gasmask cleaned, I don't think it's a good hygiene to walk around breathing in someone's blood. And do any of you know how to load this rifle?"

Flint followed the blood trail and as they entered the pump house was relieved to find Twix and another friendly face. "Hey Twix you look like shit" Flint joked as his bandage moved causing him to wince in pain. Taffy walked over to the new pair, standing over Twix and reaching down, it looked as if she was about to make sure Twix was ok but instead she swiped the hat off his head once again "If you die can I keep it?" She joked wandering back to Flint and checking his wrist for the device she had leant him. She unbuckled it and took it off of him "Phew at least you didn't hurt it" She said as she made sure the contraption still worked. Flint rolled his eyes as he made sure his bandage was on tight. It seemed to have stopped bleeding. "Ive dodged assault rifle fire and a musket hits me!" He complained

Viktor couldn't help but give a smirk as the man rolled off the table and his yelling. At least he was alive now. Viktor sat down on the other side of the table in a chair that creaked and moaned. Viktor waited for the man to speak, eventually introducing himself as Twix. Viktor replied as the man sat down with, "My name is Viktor, and do not mention it. I'd prefer it if the people who were not psychotic killers to stay alive and keep fighting to live another day. And in order to do that, you need a weapon." Following that last statement Viktor pulled the pistol he had found infront of the building out and slid it over towards Twix. Viktor had noticed the man was unarmed and figured he had lost his weapon at some point during the raid, and after deeming the man to not just be a strange looking bandit, decided he should have a gun. "It's a little beat up but for the most part I think it will do somebody your size some good. I don't think you'll be doing any more shooting tonight though. You, me, and the other people who managed to fend those bastards off succeeded. All that seems to be left are a few stragglers, if that. I'd say that's one damned good job. I would propose a toast but the drinks here taste like piss." said Viktor as he leaned back in his chair to try and get a few minutes rest.

Of course that didn't last, because moments what seemed like a mob stormed the pumphouse looking for the man Viktor was sitting across from. Viktor simply sat quietly observing what the people were doing. When one of them asked how to work the rifle he was holding, Viktor looked at the man strangely. He looked even more curious after seeing the gun. Viktor gestured for the man to come over to him. Viktor had seen a gun like this once before in a book his father had. "What graveyard did you dig this thing up from?" Viktor mumbled as he was handed the rifle. "Well, wherever it was, it seems to be in pretty decent shape," Viktor said as he slid the bolt back with ease. He opened the side-loading cartridge and told the man,"Good luck finding ammo for this god forsaken artifact. But if you in fact do, open this side cartridge and place the bullets in. Close the cartridge and you're good to go, works just like a normal bolt-action after that." Viktor told the man while demonstrating the process. When he finished he held the rifle out to the man so he could try it himself.

Garsin's vision was fading out on him and he knew he didn't have much time. He started on his way to the Pumphouse because that's where he thought everyone was going. He stumbled a few times and used his sheathed sword to help prop himself up. When he looked up from the dirt he could see the building ahead, at least, he believed it was the right one. He made his way closer an could hear people inside. He now made it to the open doorway at the front of the building, sword in hand. His vision was nearly gone and everything inside was an unidentifiable blur. He wasn't sure if the people inside were enemies or not, but at this point he had accepted death already. Soon, it felt like the room was spinning and he stumbled forward through the door, "Here we go again," he thought as he crashed onto the floor, sword clattering and his helmet rolling away, but still attached by the air tube. Then he blacked out.

His armor was beaten and broken in numerous places, dirty and bloodstained. The cloth accents were nearly torn apart and the glass on the visor was cracked in few spots. He was covered in reopened old wounds and fresh ones alike. But the armor served its purpose, keeping any vitals free from fatal injuries. However, the giant of a man could still only bleed so much. His body was run ragged and wouldn't move another inch for him, if he were to live, he would need medical attention, fast.

"Come on... come on... hurry dammit!" Myra kept ushering her companion on as they grabbed anything that looked remotely valuable. There wasn't a whole lot left but there were still some things left. Some of it was money but various ammo, metal pieces, and foodstuffs all made it into their bag. They even stole a second bag to accommodate the take. It took only a few nerve-wrecking minutes but they were not disturbed once. The two crept out of the front door, both with a plump bag thrown over their shoulder. They scurried on over to a safe place just a few dilapidated buildings down from the Pumphouse to take inventory of the take before they shipped out.

... After counting Myra turned to her companion, "Look at that! That's probably enough stuff to put us up another hundred! That'll keep me ahead of that arrogant piece of shit, Bren. Ooh we may be the half the same blood, but I'd be rid of him if I ever got the chance!" She said in a fury, not worrying about her volume. Despite her fury, Dumb seemed really enthused at the idea that they made a lot of money on this take. A lot of money means he keeps his life in a way. Myra wouldn't commend Dumb for any success they had but would definitely blame him if they were to come up short. And arriving short of money was a very, very grim prospect for all, even Myra. She took a minute to calm down a bit before instructing her companion what they were to do next. "Come on, you and I are heading back ho...." She stopped in the middle of her sentence as a very awful realization hit her. "The briefcase.... Where is the briefcase?" She turned to her companion and stared at him expectedly but he returned her stare with a rather worried expression. "Dammit you idiot! If we lose that two hundred dollars this is all on you!" She growled as she threw her hands up in anger. "Fuck you! I'll go and get that. Just... Just guard this stuff and I'll be back!" With that Myra set back for the Pumphouse.

She really had hoped with every fiber of her being that nobody would notice the small brown leather satchel that sat underneath the table where Myra had been drinking her booze.

"My name is Viktor, and do not mention it. I'd prefer it if the people who were not psychotic killers to stay alive and keep fighting to live another day. And in order to do that, you need a weapon."

And so saying Viktor reached out and placed a small pistol on the table.

I would propose a toast but the drinks here taste like piss."

Twix reached out and checked the gun, it was his gun, the one he'd flung at the bandit earlier, still empty too. He nodded his thanks and would have continued but the door to the Pumphouse swung open and one of the men from before... Adrian? walked in.

"Hey, it's you, the guy with the rabbits! Remember me, I got your hat back?"

Twix nodded and smiled subconsciously reaching up and checking his hat was still on his head.

When Adrian got closer he held out a bloody gasmask and knife, Twix's bloody gasmask and knife.

"Are these yours? You should get that gasmask cleaned, I don't think it's a good hygiene to walk around breathing in someone's blood. And do any of you know how to load this rifle?"

Twix glanced at the rifle but couldn't say he knew how to load it.

"aye, that's my stuff, can't say I know how to load that, try Viktor" he said pointing to his erstwhile rescuer who was already gesturing for Adrian to show him the rifle.

Twix took the gasmask and knife and pulled a cloth from one of his coats pockets and began cleaning the mask.

The door opened again and in walked Flint quickly followed by Taffy, Flint seemed to be trying out some new sort of fashion fad and had a bandage wrapped around his ear, Twix wasn't sure if that would catch on. Taffy looked her usual pretty self and Twix blushed remembering how she'd managed to pass 30 bullets off as 52 on him.

"Hey Twix you look like shit"

Twix grinned

"Still not quite so bad as you Flint" he followed that up with a wink.

Taffy leaned over Twix, it looked like she was checking his bandages and Twix sat contently by, although somewhere in the back of his head he was remembering the last time she'd been this close. Sure enough her hand darted out towards his hat, Twix's hand was moving to intercept almost at once, which was stupid Twix realized as his moving arm pulled the slash across his chest open and he hissed in pain and teetered on the edge of falling out of his chair. Twix felt his messy sandy brown hair as his hand arrived -much slower than it had started it journey- at his head and he recovered his balance.Taffy smiled sweetly as she pulled the hat down over her head.

"If you die can I keep it?"

Twix recovering from his momentary folly plastered a weak smile onto his face.

"Don't plan on dying anytime soon I don't"

as she turned round to walk back to Flint, Twix continued.

"and don't think I've forgotten 'bout those bullets you owe me!"

She reached up and rearranged the hat on her head in response.

The door swung open as yet another person arrived at the pumphouse, the cold night air did something to cleanse the Pumphouse of it's 'interesting' odour although Twix suspected nothing but a good fire would truly get rid of the smell.

Turning to see who had arrived Twix was somewhat surprised to see a rusty suit of battle armour (of some kind) with a rather nasty looking sword at it's side, Twix supposed there was probably a person inside the rusty suit of battle armour, after a moment's silence as everyone took in what had arrived the rusty suit of battle armour slowly keeled over -somewhat like when a big tree is felled- and hit the floor with a loud bang.

In the silence that followed both Twix and Taffy spoke -at the same time-

"Hey Flint looks like you ain't the ugliest man in the room no more!"

"looks like Twix has a contender for worst dressed"

Twix grumbled something about getting a drink and stood up to get a drink from the bar.

Flint walked over to the fallen knight in shining armour. Cracking his neck as his hands went into his backpack and took out the first aid kit within " someone throw me a bottle of alcohol I will need to clean the wounds." He began peeling off the armour wincing at the damage the man had sustained "Im surprised this guy could even stand" He grumbled as he removed some more soon having it all off. He looked to the cuts and holes "Well im no doctor but I think I can probably patch him up a little.... he might need a blood transfusion though.... which isn't so easy to do ..." Flint ripped at the mans clothes to see the wounds better, removing a needle and thread from his satchel and the rest of the bandage he had left.
