You seem rather groovy and I'd like to express my interest in your interest. I'm unfortunately not all that into science fiction but I'm still up for trying whatever you want. Of course, that IS assuming you'd be okay with discussing such matters with me.

I like to think I'm a competent enough writer to be able to match your standards. A statement like that proobbabbbllyy doesn't make me seem any more groovy than I actually am.

The fact you use groovy is more than enough for me to consider anything you say as glorious truth. What genres that totally aren't science fiction jive with you?

Weeeelllllllllllll, I tend to lean towards fantasy-fic, and I generally write contemporary fantasy.. The whole genre interests me in its entirety. It's probably some kind of complex, like those people who solely write to vent out some steam. Outside of fantasy there's also action/adventure. I guess I'm just all about those grand adventures with your friends. Lately, I've been attempting to write more of a dark and serious, thriller kind of thing. I'm not really sure if I'm good at it or not but it's worth mentioning.

There ARE some specific types of science fiction I actually like to read and maybe write, but as a genre in its entirety, I prefer other choices over it.

I actually have a few medieval fantasy/high fantasy world choices if you'd like to give those a whirl, or if you want to do a roleplay that we ho-hum and make up as we go along. I haven't done fantasy in a little while so there may be a tiny itsy bit of a thirst for it.

In all honesty I really want to try to write a mystery-thriller type of thing because I just got finished reading 419. I'm not really sure I'm the right type of writer to pull it off well though. Trying it would never hurt though.

What do you personally want to write right now? Out of everything?

Well due to the huge amount of comic-based games I'm in I don't think I will ever ever want to do a superhero RP on the side. It's like eating too much chocolate, you get a stomach ache. As per genres other than: I'm really cool with anything in the vein of fantasy, science fiction, or non-fantasy. It all depends on the concept we all think on and go for. As for Thriller; I love watching psychological horror/thriller cinema but I don't think I've really ever wrote it-- it'd be a challenge for sure if we did that.

I don't really think I'm ready to write a psychological horror. To do something like that, I must first visit the exact locations of birth for both of my parents and then travel to them, setting up shrines as I go. Only then will I be able write such a genre.

Unfortunately I don't have many ideas for RPs right now as all I've been doing as of late is school and plotting my already existing story.

You are making this really difficult, you know that? Haha, well I'm sure we'll figure something out as long as we don't say "I don't know, I like this." for months on end.

I was never known for being the most decisive person.

Well, currently it is almost two in the morning and I'm supposed to go to class in five hours. Hopefully after I sleep for a while I can actually think of a good idea we could discuss. Time to pass out on the couch watching mediocre sitcoms.

Why do they have to be mediocre?

If they're not mediocre, how could I fall asleep to them? I could just put on the family channel or something if you want me to. Watch whatever shows they have that aren't Hannah Montana.

I could do a last airbender. Do you want canon characters or OCs? I personally only do OCs when it comes to fandoms.

Oh for the love of Tzeentch, your taste in roleplaying genres is far too varied. Also precise. I had to grab a notepad just to write some down because scrolling on a laptop is excessively difficult (I don't have one of those fancy areas on the touchpad that lets me scroll). But moving onwards from insulting you for having interests, I think I could go for some roleplaying this time around. I reckon it'll be less stressful without a group of people hounding me for not having written a ginormous post within two hours (I hope ) But as it is, here's a list of what caught my attention:

Space Western
Dark Fantasy
Medievel Fantasy
Western
Post-Apocalyptic
Dystopian Science Fiction
Superhero Fiction

When it comes to genres, I don't have a preference - I'm up for any of these. I hope you don't feel all too pressured about making this incredibly vital choice. When it comes to the plot of whatever genre you choose, unless you've figured one out yourself, I'm more than willing to pound one out in no time. Or discuss it. Whatever.

DC Comics
Dragon Age: Origins
Fallout
Marvel Comics
Star Wars

I feel like DC Comics isn't a surprise (*looks down at signature*). If you'd prefer to pull off a fandom RP, I 've merely one question (a rather deciding one, at that): Does your interest lie in roleplaying as established characters within these worlds or merely utilising the worlds themselves? Because I've some problems with using existing characters. I never feel like I do them justice. So that's a problem.

Either way, feel free to hit me up on the PMs or just get back into the chat. I'm almost always in the chat. Now to read through this post again in posted format because I can't see these paper-thin letters against the white background to save my life... Edit button, prepare to be reamed.

Sincerely,
Crayt

ah. that definition of advanced roleplay is something i've been craving for a long time now, with little to no success. perhaps i'll get lucky this time around.

i'd be up for some sort of medieval fantasy, maybe Dragon Age style? i just recently played through that game again and it hooked me all over. that, or i could go for Noir, maybe psychological horror too. we could brainstorm some ideas and see which one catches on the most?
