The Baron Von Doom calmly activated a device on his wrist. A powerful fore field emerged from his glove, a force field superior than the shields on the Flag ship of the Shiar Empire. . . This enabled him to watch as the field broke easily through the metal he was entrapped in, but Baron Von Doom new he might be in trouble. He merely activated a Mind Machine interface command afterwards, causing him to teleport more quickly directly back to Latveria.

Hank saw Tertia as she began hurling stone spikes at Grundy and leapt out of the way, not wanting to risk further injury. He stood at the ready to leap back into the brawl but as Grundy slowed and eventually stopped he realized there was no need. "Whoever you may be, thank you," Hank said as he stumbled back into the trees, trying to hide away from the prying eyes that were all around them. "If you had not intervened I would have been killed, I think he broke some of my ribs." Hank put a clawed hand against his furry chest and tried to take a deep breath, wincing as the pain grew worse. "I think I may need a doctor."Kurt walked over to Spiderbolt as he and the Winged Shadow spoke. After the Winged Shadow gave Spiderbolt the remote Kurt spoke up. "Spiderbolt, I think you need to go to the hospital," He looked at the arrows still stuck in Spiderbolt and winced at the thought, "I know your secret identity is important but these might kill you if they're left alone." He grabbed Spiderbolts wrist and put his arm around his shoulders. "Let's go, I'll get you some help, I know some people, underground doctors, no licenses and no questions asked."

She nodded to Hank and sidled around Grundy before laying a hand on the wall. A chunk ripped out and she smiled lightly as she formed it into a malleable mass of mud. It wrapped around Hanks torso and then hardened, acting as a body splint to apply pressure to the cracked ribs to keep them in place. She nodded when he mentioned a doctor and offered her shoulder to him. Whoever he was, he was not her enemy, so she figured helping him wouldn't be bad.

"Thank you, I appreciate it." Hank said to Tertia with a nod and a smile. He put his hand on her shoulder and stood, the pain not being nearly as bad thanks to the improvised cast. "I never did get your name, mine's Hank, but people around here seem to have taken to calling me 'the Monster of Manhattan' thanks to a few tabloid photos someone snapped of me a while back." Hank was standing on his own now, though it still caused him a bit of discomfort he seemed to be doing much better thanks to Tertia's help.

"Holy Stark, guys, are you okay?" she called as she ran toward... "WHOA. You're... You're... Spider...bolt... Oh. MY. " She paled, then smiled so wide that her face hurt. "I am like, your fan! You are totally the most super hero ever!" Her smile suddenly disappeared. "What happened to you?"

Peter Queen/Spiderbolt

The blue guy had mentioned that Spiderbolt still had arrows protruding from his back, and that he needed to go to a hospital. One with no questions asked. A place where his identity will be safe. Sounded good to him.
"What, these things?" he asked, referring to the arrows, before pulling them out. "Not... killing me... anymore. Just the bleeding... I didn't think that through, did I? Yeah... hospital sounds nice, thanks."

And then the blond shapeshifter arrived, totally fangirling over Spiderbolt's awesomeness. Why didn't he have fans like those back in Star City?
"Uh... hi there... I didn't know... I had fans like you... Most people back in Star City... are either trying to kill me... or arrest me..." he said, rather taken aback with flattery. "In answer... to your question. Dark Goblin... attacked here. Had too... intervene. He beat me."

Kurt
"It, uh... It isn't exactly a hospital." Kurt said and looked at Spiderbolt. "More like someone I know who used to be a doctor but got his license revoked and now he does illegal operations and medical treatments for criminals and anyone else who can pay him out of his basement," Kurt continued and shrugged slightly. He knew this guy was trustworthy despite how it might sound, he had gone there many times for treatment after gunshot wounds or particularly nasty falls out of buildings. "Cash only, by the way, but that goes without saying."

((I have to go, so GG if Grammar Nazi replies to you tonight and you want the RP to keep going without me you can control Kurt to get Spiderbolt to the guy's house and get him fixed up))

Peter Queen/Spiderbolt

An illegally run hospital? Did Spiderbolt hear the mutant right? He hated calling mutants mutants. It seemed so... accusing. So judgemental.
"I've... got cash," he said, before turning to the blond girl and Winged Shadow. "Nice... meeting you both... Miss Shapeshifter... and Bird Man. But... I've gotta... run. Sort of... bleeding to death here." Look at that. Bleeding to death and still making wisecracks. He turned his attention to the blue... man that happened to be born with super powers.
"I'm ready... when you are. What's your... name?"
"Um... Kurt. My name's Kurt," answered the blue man that happened to be born with super powers.
And with that, Kurt teleported the two out of the destroyed building, leaving Winged Shadow and Spiderbolt's Biggest Fan standing there, wondering where the hell they went.

John nodded as they left and then turned to the girl who had stormed into the building, obsessing over Spiderbolt. "I hate to run like this but I have to go. A superhero never rests," John said. He turned around and shot his grappling hook to a nearby building and ran off, jumping and swinging when necessary until he came back to his room at Thomas Enterprises Hotel.

FERALISS

Alissa waved the sulfuric smoke out of her face, coughing. She took the elevator down to the main lobby and walked outside. "Well, that was anti-climactic. Meet a few supers and then get left behind."

"I know how you feel," a dark voice growled from the shadows of the alley beside the building.

Alissa jumped, turning quickly toward the voice. A cloaked and hooded figure stepped out of the shadows, a dark muzzle sticking out from underneath the hood.

"Wha- What did you...say?"

The cloaked shadow slid out from behind the shadowed corner, staying against the wall, shining green eyes tracking Alissa with a darkness that bore through her soul.

"I said I know exactly how you feel. No one ever pays attention to you except to stare at you like you're a freak. No one really wants anything to do with you because you're different. I've been watching you, Feraliss. I've been tracking you for a long time."

"Why... Why would you...be tracking...me?"

"Because you understand the pain of rejection. You know what it feels like to be thrown away because you're a FREAK!" With the last word, the dark figure threw the cloak off, revealing himself. His dark fur bristled and his red markings gleamed in the streetlight. His green eyes were filled with fury and pain. His wings spread wide, forcing a gust of wind away from his body. Just as quickly, he retracted his wings and fell to the ground, holding his head in his paws like he was in agony.

"Oh, you poor thing..." Alissa approached him carefully, stretching her hand out to lay it gingerly on his arm and sit next to him. He peered out from between his fingers.

"Why do you insult me with your pity?"

"I don't pity you," she answered sweetly. "I think other people are silly if they think you're a freak. It's such a mean word, and you're obviously not a mean person."

"Person?" he asked.

"Well, of course. You're not just an animal, you know. You're more." Alissa paused for a moment, obviously pondering something. "I've never seen a wolf with wings. Do you mind...if I..."

"If you what?"

"Can I try out your form?"

The wolf narrowed his eyes at her, but nodded. She stood up and squeezed her eyes shut, letting her power flood through her body, and when she opened them, she looked exactly like him, minus the wings. She admired her reflection in the tinted glass of the building beside them and smiled. "I really like this. Would you care if I add this one to my repertoire?"

The wolf tilted his head, then nodded curiously.

Alissa sat next to him again in the alley. "My real name is Alissa. What's your name?"

The wolf-man considered the question for a moment, then carefully responded.

"Tyrian. My name...is Tyrian."

Hank McCoy
Hank, recently released from the hospital, was walking through the streets in his usual pants and hooded sweatshirt, the hood drawn up to hide his face as he passed people. Though his face was hidden he still wasn't wearing shoes so his blue feet alone drew a few looks. He wondered where Tertia was, she hadn't given him her name and had vanished as soon as he had been admitted to the hospital. He stopped when he saw the strangest sight he had ever seen. In front of his were two werewolves speaking to each other, one even had wings. He cocked his head to the side and approached them, more out of curiosity than anything. He stopped only a few feet away from the pair and scratched at the brace he wore because of his cracked ribs. The thing itched like hell but it helped a lot with the pain and stopped his ribs from getting worse while they healed. "Hello there, aren't you two a curious site," He said and chuckled, "Though, not any stranger than myself I suppose."

FERALISS / TYRIAN

Tyrian stood in a flash, growling, flaring his wings and extending his arm protectively in front of the only person to ever show him kindness. Flashbacks split his vision, but he willed them away, desperately trying to face the latest threat to his sanity.

"Tyrian, no, it's okay. I know who he is."

Alissa stood and slid her hands onto Tyrian's shoulders, willing him to relax. As she looked into his eyes, his face softened and he stopped growling. He stared hard at the blue creature standing before him and folded his wings a little, still standing protectively in front of Alissa.

Alissa carefully walked around his body and sniffed curiously in the blue man's direction. "I've heard of you. You're that blue man that wanders around town. Are you... Are you a... Well, like us?"

Hank McCoy
Hank nods and pulls back his hood, revealing his feline face and a large mane of blue fur. His feet are small for his size and clawed with only three toes, his hands are similar, he has three fingers and a thumb on each hand, all of them adorned with claws that could easily tear someone apart. Despite his appearance Hank was actually quite kind, he preferred to stay out of fights but if he wandered across someone in danger he wouldn't hesitate to fight. "My name is Hank, I'm a mutant like you, as you can clearly see." he says, motioning to his face, his large teeth visible in his mouth when he talks, but they don't seem to impede his speech. "Who might you be" He asks and smiles, an odd expression on his face that makes it look like he might want to eat you.

Tertia, after taking Hank to the hospital, had indeed vanished. She had pressing matters to attend to, like finding a home and information. She had left and began scouring the city for an apartment. To her joy, she found a decent one, large enough for her to happily live within, for a reasonable price. She paid cash for it all and then made her way to the seedier part of town. There, she sought out the streetears. She found a couple, asked them to keep an ear out for her, and greased their palms liberally.

After all that was said and done, she began to wander the city, taking in its layout. She eventually happened upon Hank again and waved when she was in his view. She made no sound, as usual, but she did feel it was necessary to at least be polite to him since he obviously was not a bad individual.

FERALISS / TYRIAN

Alissa shapeshifted back into herself and threw her hand out to shake Hank's. She shook it vigorously and giggled. "Hi, Hank, I'm Ali- I'm Feraliss. I've never seen so many animal-people in one day! There's you, and there's Tyrian, and there was that blue guy that disappeared in some nasty-smelling smoke a while ago. He had a weird accent..."

Tyrian gently took her hand from Hank's and smiled for the first time. "You're a funny girl, Feraliss." He turned to Hank and extended his own hand. "My name is Tyrian," he said in his deep, growling voice. "I... I can't do what she just did, and I assume you can't either."

As Tyrian shook Hank's hand, he felt the strangest sensation, and the sudden overwhelming urge to lay his hands on the man's torso. He couldn't stop himself, and he grabbed Hank's ribs. Power surged through him. He couldn't stop it, couldn't redirect it, couldn't control it. White light flashed between his palms and Hank's wounds, then Tyrian collapsed to the ground, panting heavily.

"TYRIAN! HANK!" Alissa screamed, grabbing a furry paw-hand from each one. "Are you guys okay? What happened?"

Tyrian could only shake his head in confusion. He didn't know what had just overcome him, and he was terrified to look at Hank and see what he had done to disfigure the only other mutant that truly understood what he felt like. He hated himself, and he hated the man that had done this to him.

Grundy didn't sleep, so it wouldn't do to say that he woke up. Something more like he regained control of his body, and the pain had returned. Nothing specifically hurt, but it was the pain of a death that was still trying to claim his broken, withered body. He found himself wrapped up and in a cool place, and for a brief moment he feared that he was back where he had awoken. The awful hole where he had spent an unknowable amount of time, slowly letting his humanity slip away into horrible darkness. He moved to break free, and his arm tore through what was wrapped around him.

He tore the rest off and sat up. It was a dimly light office, with several tables surrounding him each with different equipment on it. There was no one else in the room with him, but there was a large observing window cut into the wall, and Grundy could see movement on the other side. There were several people studying something on a computer screen, their backs to the room. He ripped off the rest of the body bag, got off the table and began walking towards the window.

“What's the deal with the mask?”

“I dunno. We aren't supposed to actually touch anything on the...*thing* until the specialist shows up.”

“Specialist?”

“Yeah. I guess we're calling someone who might actually know what to make of a shambling corpse.”

“Wait, that thing was moving?”

“Yeah, offed 3 people in Central Park this afternoon.”

“Bull--”

And Grundy smashed through the window, grabbing each of them around the neck with one hand and smashing their faces through the screen in front of them. For good measure, he squeezed until he heard the soft popping of bone shattering. He looked around to make sure he didn't miss anyone before he began to feed. As he did, he felt the pain slip away like the tide.

Norman Merlyn/Dark Goblin

Spiderbolt had allies. That may prove a problem in the future. But not enough of one. After Goblin's plan's first phase is completed, there will be nothing they can do to stop what's coming. Nothing.

What was Goblin's motivation, exactly? What made him want to unleash hell on New York City? What made him the insane, bitter man that he is? The answer is as such: his wife, Emily, was murdered there, on the streets of Manhattan, shot and left to die, every passer-by ignoring her pleas for help. Every. Single. One. And nothing will stop Norman Merlyn, the Dark Goblin, from making the ungrateful, cruel citizens of New York City from feeling his wrath.

And so, Goblin was on his way to steal the catalyst of phase two from none other than the Owlman himself... Thomas Wayne.

FERALISS / TYRIAN

Tyrian didn't want to know what he'd done to the mutant. He rose and spread his wings, taking off form the street. His eyes burned with tears that he was too proud to shed, and he couldn't see, but it didn't matter. He didn't have to worry about being seen when he was in the air. He hated himself. He hated himself so much more now than he did only a few minutes ago.

"TYRIAN, WAIT!" Alissa cried. She glanced at Hank, then stood and shapeshifted into a hawk. She took off, trying to catch up to Tyrian. She flew as fast as she could, finally catching up to him as he landed in an alley. She shapeshifted back just before she hit the ground and landed with a thud, running toward him.

"Tyrian, are you alright? Did it hurt you?"

"What? Alissa? Why are you here?" She touched his shoulder and he shrugged her off. "Go away! I don't want to hurt you too!"

"You won't."

"You don't know that!"

"Look, my dad is really smart, and my mom can do some cool stuff too... Maybe we can help you." She caught his eye. "Please, Tyrian. Let me help you."

She gently took Tyrian's paw-hand and held it in both of her tiny human hands. He was confused. Torn. He didn't want to hurt her, but he needed help...

"Okay," he sighed. "If your dad can tell me what's wrong with me..." He looked away. "I need to know."

"Just come with me," Alissa soothed. "Everything will be okay. We'll figure this out."

She led him out of the alley and walked with him to the park. There, she shapeshifted into a hawk and they took off toward the southeast.

The Gauntlet Islands
"You'll never get away with this!" Edna McCoy scolded The Predator. "I'm not the one in a dangerous position madam. The ones in such a position of trouble are you, your husband, your grandchild and your son I intend to make The Beast come to me. He will come to me alone, and he will work for me. If he doesn't there's plenty of trouble I can cause, and you, dear woman, are the least of his troubles if he fails to comply with my demands. Nevertheless, I am not a monster." The Predator joked laughingly behind his mask. "You can live in comfortable ease and relax while you are waiting. I don't intend to harm you. Unless you make yourselves a bother. I will now leave you in your new home here. If you need anything to eat or drink, the dispensers can replicate anything you could want. Go ahead and make your fatty McDonald's hamburgers if you want. Sloppy Joes. Pizza, and all that American tasty swill that make you all so soft and cuddly.'

The Predator left their Chambers behind as the family of Hank McCoy waited in shock for them to leave. The Predator turned around. "Oh, and one more thing. I am not above changing my mind on your . . . ease of comfort, or the lack of discomfort I am more than capable of rectifying."

GRUNDY / ALISSA / TYRIAN / SARA / GARETH

All the doors on his way up the stairwell had been locked, so Grundy had kept climbing, figuring that he'd find an open one eventually or he'd just had to rip the last one he saw off the hinges, which is exactly what he ended up having to do. He found himself on the roof just as a large shadow passed above him. He looked up and saw a winged wolf following a hawk.

Hmmm...could be fun to kill, Grundy thought as he watched what direction it was flying in for a few more seconds before beginning to jump across roofs after it.

Alissa and Tyrian flew for a short while southeast until they reached the suburbs. Alissa banked toward true east and began descending, pulling up in the backyard of a lovely two-story home. She fluttered a few times, then shapeshifted back into herself and landed lightly on the grass. Tyrian circled once before descending gently and landing with a great flap of his wings. He folded them tightly against his back and faced Alissa.

"Are you sure your father can help me?"

"Sure," Alissa replied with enthusiasm. "Gareth can fix anything."

"Gareth?"

"Oh, right... Um... I was... Well, my real parents were...normal. They didn't want me, so they left me at an adoption agency. I was fostered in a few different places, and then I was adopted by these people I never met. Turns out, they knew I was a..." Alissa paused, feeling as though she was about to say a dirty word. "They knew I was different. Because they are too. I've lived here since I was eleven."

"And how old are you now?"

"Sixteen." Alissa stared absent-mindedly at Tyrian.

"What?" he asked self-consciously.

"Oh, I was just wondering how old you are, and if you age like a wolf or like a person."

From any other mouth on any other day, a comment like this would have infuriated Tyrian, but from her, it was actually kind of cute. He made a half-smile, snorted a short laugh, and replied, "I'm eighteen, and I age like a person."

Alissa smiled awkwardly at him. "Cool. Me too."

That very moment, Gareth came outside and spotted them. "Alissa! You're wearing your super suit! Who is this?"

"It's okay, Gareth, I brought him home. I was hoping you could...help him."

"Help him? How, make him look human?"

"No," Tyrian interjected before Alissa could answer for him.

Gareth turned to him. "Strange, typically when we look other than human, that's what I'm asked for."

"I don't want that. I just... I need help controlling my powers. I...can't. I can't control them. I..."

"Slow down, Lobo Man. I might be able to throw something together than can help focus your powers. What kind of powers are you exhibiting?"

"I... I don't know."

"Well, perhaps we should test them."

"I don't know if that's a good idea..."

"Just try," Gareth assured him. "Alissa, my little Supergirl, do you want to let him try his powers out on you?"

"Okay!" she squeaked excitedly.

"NO!" Tyrian shouted. They stared at him, confused. A woman came barreling out of the sliding glass patio door.

"What is going on here?!?"

"Sara, honey," Gareth mused, spreading his arms wide to hug and intercept her. "Our little Ali brought a friend home!"

Sara stared menacingly at Tyrian. "Who are you?" she muttered coldly.

"Sara, it's okay," Gareth assured her.

"I'm sorry, this was a bad idea. I'm just... I'll go." Tyrian turned and spread his wings to leave.

A noise in the bushes stopped him. His ears twitched. "Inside. Now. Everyone needs to go inside."

No point to hide now. Grundy pushed through the hedges he was crouching behind and into the yard. He wasn't planning on taking all four of them on at once, but maybe this was for the best.

"How adorable. You know, I don't think I've ever been able to kill a whole family in one go before."

"Get out of here, you disgusting demon," Tyrian growled, spreading his wings as menacingly as possible. He was hoping to shield the family from view and give them a chance to escape, but Alissa moved forward.

"Get. Out. Of. My. Back. Yard." She was angry, and Tyrian could see it. Almost steaming. Her eyes glowed angrily, and she shapeshifted into a massive bear, growling at the zombie-like mutation standing before her.

"Disgusting?" Solomon said, taking a step back like he was insulted, "Isn't that a bit like the pot calling the kettle black? You aren't going to be winning any pageants yourself."

Alissa roared, pure fury. Sara stepped forward as well, assuming a fighting position. "Leave now and we won't hurt you."

Grundy laughed at them.

"Hurt? Me? What ever would you do that for? I only want to rip the skin off your bones. I don't think that's too much to ask."

"Alissa," Sara growled, "let him have it."

Alissa lunged forward, tackling the creature to the ground. She reared back to strike, but missed as it rolled out from under her.

"Rude," was all Grundy said as he jumped up and kicked the bear across the yard like a football.

"Stop, please, don't hurt her!" Tyrian howled. "Please, leave her. Take me, and leave this family." His eyes shone with tears that threatened to fall. He couldn't understand why he felt this way, much less about another person, but he needed to protect her as if she was a part of him. He stepped forward. "Please, just let them go."

"No, this is just getting fun. Come on, surely you can do better. Honestly, I saw four of you and was hoping for something to pass my afternoon."

Alissa the bear lumbered to her feet and shook her head, then shifted into a kangaroo, hopping swiftly toward the creature and kicking him hard, sending him into the bird bath, and shifting back into herself. "Who are you, and what do you really want with us?" she screamed.

Grundy picked himself up out of the broken bird bath, pulling chunks of cement and plaster out of himself.

"Honestly, a guy can't even go on a killing spree without everyone questioning his motives. Maybe I just really need to rip someone in half. Is that better?"

'NO!!!" Alissa screamed, running at him. She balled up her fists and changed her legs and feet into an unidentifiable animal's, flying at him with inhuman speed. She punched him, hard, punctuating each one with a word. "TELL! ME! WHO! YOU! ARE!"

Grundy bear hugged her as she hit him and began to squeeze the life out of her.

"Solomon Grundy, at your service" he said, throwing her back towards the house to punctuate his sentence.

Alissa flew through the air and smashed partially through the wall. She fell unconscious to the grass beneath her.

"ALISSA!!!" all three heroes yelled. Sara turned and hurled herself at Grundy, screaming as she delivered blow after blow of incapacitating punches and kicks all over his body, throwing him up in the air, and finally scissor-kicking him through the ground.

Tyrian rushed to Alissa as Gareth ran into the house to retrieve his medical supplies. Tyrian felt that same inexplicable rush of power and couldn't stop himself. He tried desperately to turn away from her, but he couldn't. His paw-hands gripped her tiny form and a white light flashed brilliantly from his palms to her body. He howled, releasing her, and she woke up as if from a nightmare, breathing heavily. She looked up and watched Grundy pull himself out of the ground. "No..." she whispered.

"Better!" Grundy said as he picked himself up from his beating, "Much better. This is the kind of reckless mayhem a guy could grow to love."

"GET YOUR ASS BACK IN THE GROUND HERE YOU BELONG!" Sara screamed.

Gareth ran outside with the medical bag and a specially-designed energy blaster. He threw the medicine to Tyrian and aimed the gun at Grundy. "I couldn't agree more."

A blinding blast of continuous electric-blue light flashed from the mouth of the gun and directly into Grundy's torso. It blazed straight through him, burning a hole in him like a lightning bolt.

Grundy took a step backwards, watching smoke curl up from the gaping hole in his chest, a crooked smile under his mask.

"You shouldn't have done that. A guy comes to the suburbs to unwind, and he gets blasted in the chest. You...really shouldn't have done that."

Grundy crossed the yard to Gareth and grabbed the gun out of his hand and threw it on the ground, smashing it with his foot. With his other hand, he picked Gareth up by the shirt and held him several feet off the ground.

Sara rushed him as he lifted her husband off the ground and swept his feet out from under him. He hit the ground hard, but his grip was tight on Gareth's shirt. "Let him go, you demon!" she yelled, then ripped the shirt to shreds, releasing Gareth from the fist of death.

"MOM! DAD!" Alissa screamed. It was the first time she had ever called them by anything other than their names. It was enough to distract them from defending themselves for a split second. A split second too much. Alissa leaped for them, but Tyrian held her back. He knew they couldn't defeat this enemy.

Grundy kicked the woman in the stomach, knocking her off away from him. He stood up and cupped his hands around Gareth's face. They felt cold and leathery, like they had been buried in a dark cave for far too long.

"Solomon Grundy. Born on a Monday. Christened on Tuesday."

Grundy began pressing his hands together, watching the man's eyes bulge out of their sockets as he applied more pressure.

"Married on Wednesday. Took ill on Thursday. Grew worse on Friday. Died on Saturday."

Blood started to leak from the man's eyes and drip down his nose as he started to gurgle.

"Buried on Sunday. And that was the end. Of Solomon Grundy."

As Grundy said the last line, Gareth stared at Tyrian holding his daughter back. He silently thanked him and pleaded for him to protect her.

There was a wet cracking sound, and chunks of flesh splattered through Grundy's fingers and over his hands. He dropped the headless corpse, blood gushing out of the neck.

Sara screamed, rushing toward Grundy in a frenzy, lashing out with a fury that no man had ever known before. She laid every blow she had ever learned on Grundy, managing to break his right arm. She pulled the knives from her wrist sheaths and stabbed him over and over and over, sobbing and screaming at him, then finally gashed his abdomen open with the blade in her right hand. She stabbed him in his left eye with the other one, breaking down and losing her strength. She sobbed, then turned to run, but Grundy grabbed her around the middle.

"GO!" she screamed at Tyrian and Alissa. "GET OUT OF HERE! SAVE HER!"

"It was a good effort," Grundy said, pulling the knife out of his gut and slipping it between the woman's ribs and into her heart, "But I've done this a time or one thousand."

And he let her crumple to the ground.

Tyrian was frozen. He couldn't think, couldn't feel... Everything was numb. Alissa wrenched herself out of his arms and shifted into a lioness, rushing into Grundy with a powerful leap. She clipped his head, ripping out the knife and a chunk of what could have been flesh at one time. Her fury raged, and she felt her humanity slipping as she slashed at his legs, ripping a gash open in both calves. She roared, finally letting go of what little human was left in her head, and reared back, eyes glowing, shifting in a flash into a creature that should never have existed. Her tail grew long, her snout became slim, and her torso grew enormous. Wings exploded from her back and scales covered her body, then spikes grew out of her spine.

Tyrian watched in horror as a dragon stood furiously over Grundy. It screamed out a roar, and mid-roar, fire erupted from its maw, engulfing Grundy. It finally snapped its mouth shut and flapped its wings, rising into the air with rage in its eyes.

"ALISSAAAAAA!!!" Tyrian howled, and he took off after her. He forgot about Grundy and chased Alissa the dragon into the city, wishing he could fly fast enough to catch up to her and stop her.

Norman Merlyn/Dark Goblin

Bodies were strewn across the Restricted Floor of the Thomas Enterprises NYC building. Most belonged to security guards, some to staff. Arrows were embedded in each one. After hearing the roar of something big, Goblin was prompted to blow a hole in the building, much like the Queen Consolidated building, and had proceeded to off every person on the floor. He hadn't used his trademark explosive arrows, as what he wanted needed to be in one piece for his plan to work. The security guards had put up a pointless, yet admirable fight, attempting to protect the floor with anything they had. But it wasn't enough. Their lives ended quickly and painfully.

Dark Goblin was now walking along a hallway, looking for something specific... Something, that if unleashed, would shake the city. After a while of walking, he found it. A machine. One that could generate earthquakes so huge, they would destroy the entirety of New York City, leaving nothing but dust. The Markov Device. Laughing in insane joy, Goblin dismantled it, holding all its pieces, and jumped on his glider.

Once outside, he saw what seemed to be a dragon... That explains the roar he heard before. It was perfect, really. While Goblin would be flying away to his hideout, the dragon would provide cover for him, as it most probably spread terror throughout Manhattan. And so Dark Goblin went, laughing as he flew away from the massacre that was Thomas Enterprises NYC.

John had just taken off his mask when he heard the roars and the screams. God damn. Could he not just have a break tonight. The mask was soon reattached to his head as he swung through New York. Holy shit. That was a dragon. A real life fricken dragon. He was not equipped to combat that. No. Nothing he could do would stop that. But he could try. As the dragon flew by him he leaped on to the creatures back, latching on to one of the horn protrusions. The wind whipped his hair and he felt like he might fall off at any second. John struggled against the wind, climbing towards the dragon's head.
