"This isn't good. Why would Kyo wonder off? He can't even ask for directions." Liz said worriedly. She didn't like that the shy boy was missing. Kyo had no real way defend himself if he came across someone who wanted to hurt him. She hoped that Myra would find him.
Katherin had no idea what was going on. But it didn't sound good. "What's going on?"
Roxy shook her head. Where had the boy gone? This had to be Myra's fault. Surely if she had stayed with the group as instructed this wouldn't have happened. So far Myra was proving to be a crappy leader. "Figures she would lose someone within minutes of trying to be a leader."

Kyo walked off what he thought to be where he came from. He had turned around so many times searching for the others that he couldn't be sure, but he was certain that he had seen that restaurant before. And that mailbox. He continued toward them and eventually past them, completely unaware that there had been a similar restaurant a short ways back, as well as another mailbox on the corner behind said restaraunt. He had forgotten the placement, though, thinking that the mailbox had been on the other side of the street like this one. After another minute of walking, he found a phone booth and took a look inside.

Myra sighed, she had no idea why Kyo had ran off. If course it had to be her fault, Roxy in all of her cute anger was probably bashing her right now but she didn't really care as she continued walking. "Kyo? Come on, you know that this is not the time." She yells as she continues down the sidewalk, she had passed the ice rink already but when she stopped and searched it there was no sign of Kyo. She sighed and stuck her hand on the sidewalk, this time she pulled away as if she had been burned by all the memories. She didn't try again as she just continued to call Kyo's name in the hopes of finding him.

"Oh... Oh d-dear, n-no, no this is bad. Thi-Th-This is very... Very bad... Very bad... Oh boy" Julius said worriedly for he liked Kyo as he proved to be a good friend. When Katherin asked what was happening he turned to her and said "Uh-Right yes, Well uh... Kyo has... Gone. Disappeared. Vanished. Missing."

Kyo had thought about calling the group, but he didn't remember anyone receiving cell phones like they had the last time they went on a field trip. Although he could have just missed that part. He wasn't sure. Anyway, it occurred to him that there was another problem with that plan anyhow, a slightly more obvious one. Before leaving, he wrote down the phone number and the street name, so at least something could still get done while he searched for the group. He looked around again before getting an idea. He scribbled down a note quickly onto a spare piece of paper he was carrying and stuck it in the door of the phone booth. It had his name clearly printed on it, so hopefully someone might notice it even though it wasn't a particularly big piece of paper. He started off again, walking another block and before realizing: There was no way he had seen that phone booth before.

Distance from start: Two blocks right, two blocks down, one block right. Distance from Myra: Three blocks to the left?

"Missing? How can he be missing? We have only been her like half an hour?" Katherin asked worriedly. "Does he have his notepad with him? Poor guy wont be able to ask for help. I hope someone finds him."

Myra panted as she sat on the street coner mustering up whatever strength she had left. As she got back up she continued to run in the same pointless direction she had been. If she had the courage she could toucb the sidewalk and find Kyo...maybe, but at the same time she felt to scared to do so. She made a right turn down another street and called out Kyo's name every few seconds as she kept getting glimpses of people's memories as she bumped into them with a slight sensation everytime.

Kyo turned around and stared back in the direction he just came from. If he hadn't seen that phone booth before, then that was proof that he had been heading in the wrong direction, right? And he had just gotten himself more lost. He should go back. He at least had to go back to where he realized that he was lost. He should probably remove the note from the phone booth as well, then, so the others wouldn't follow what he had written only to find that he wasn't there. Or should he just stay in the phone booth? Would someone find him there? What if someone else tried to use the phone booth? Maybe he should just stay here? He wasn't sure anymore, but if moving just got him more lost, he figured that it would be best to just stay still for a while. But how long would it take for someone to find him?

Myra continued on, she went to the right now. As far as she knew Kyo could be anywhere in the city and she had had no way to find him. As she moved down she found a ton of odd people that told her she could use their cellphone to call her mom, wasn't it obvious enough that she was alone? Whatever, she kept thinking. These people were just being nice.

Kyo sighed and walked back to the phone booth. He took down the paper and waited, wondering if there was some other way he could send a message of some sort to the others. Was there anything that would attract the attention of the group without getting the attention of other people? He thought for a minute, pulling a peppermint from his pocket to help keep calm. The scent of peppermint flowed through the air as he enjoyed the treat, subtle enough to be dismissed, but still able to be detected from up to a block away. He didn't even know he was causing it.

As Myra continued to run she started to smell peppermint? She hated the stuff but she could definitely smell it. She cringed and continued forward as the subtle scent got stronger. Why would someone be eating peppermint, maybe selling it? Who would do that? She shook her head and carried on.

Kyo looked up toward his right. About a block down, he thought he could see a familiar shape. He stood up from his spot at the phone booth and started off towards it, hoping that it was indeed as familiar as it looked. The bell on his wrist jingled loudly as he ran.

Myra's eyes widened as she saw what looked and sounded like Kyo. "Kyo! What are you doing all the way out here? Why did you even follow me anyway?" She shouted as she continued to run until they eventually met halfway. "Let's head back. No more scavenger hunting today."

Kyo hung his head, ashamed to have messed up the activity. He stared at the ground and took Myra's hand to avoid getting lost again as he followed her to the others.

"Everyone back in the van." The housekeeper scolded. "I am buying you all child leases."
Roxy shrugged her shoulders. She had been looking forward to being in the city for awhile but there would be other days.

Kyo sat down at the back of the bus and pulled his knees to his chest. He just wanted to go back to his room and stay there.

Liz shook her head. She didn't know how things had gone do fubar. They should have been able to complete the scavenger hunt without a problem but it hadnt happened.
Katherin bit her lip to keep from protesting that the rest of them shouldn't be punished for one persons mistake.

The housekeeper sighed as she opened the door to watch the children off the bus. She climbed out of the bus and headed up the stairs. "Welcome to the orphanage. This is a special orphanage. You will have to prove you are special enough to stay. What can you do?"
