Birth Name: Henry Colt
Assigned Name: Johnathan Richards
Age: 29
Attached Photo:
Henry stands 5'11" 190 lbs after implants. Without implants he'd weigh about 170 lbs. He has a tattoo on his back of a red-lining gauge.

Psychological Profile: Henry is a daredevil. He's always pushing the limits (and often the buttons of others.) He knows he's the best damn pilot in the world, and wants others to know it as well. He goes through cars faster than he goes through shoes due to his tendency to push his cars past the red line. Genuinely a good guy, he tends to give people the benefit of the doubt. While he is very intelligent, he is often inconsiderate of others, so much so that his navigators usually pass out under the stress of his maneuvers. As such he is usually alone in the skies. If he is not in the sky he is usually under the hood of an old musclecar, trying to get those few extra horses out of it.

Medical History: A series of G force related injuries forced a variety of implants that aid his survival in deadly G force situations.

Technical Proficiency: Piloting, tech support and air drops. An expert in just about every flying vehicle in the world, in fact, Henry has the uncanny ability to stay conscious and focused in lethal G forces. As such, Henry has been involved as a test-pilot in numerous USAF and NASA top secret vehicles. To assist Henry in piloting these next generation vehicles he has had a series of neuro-implants that very nearly make him one with the vehicle. With the implants in the back of his head he can access vehicle cameras, missile banks, and every other system without actually physically inputting any commands. Henry has also had a series of cybernetic implants that more or less sure-up his body. Microfibers in his diaphragm help him to keep breathing in G forces that make him weigh thousands of pounds. Reinforced slings keep his organs in place during these deadly maneuvers. Ligaments and tendons are reinforced with high strength carbon nanotubes. Under his top layer of skin there is a mesh layer of nanotubing that under normal stress conditions has no effect on his skin, but when stress is applied the mesh reinforces to a nearly steel-hard inner layer. (Think of it almost like the part of Terminator 2 where Sarah Conner is pulling the 9mm slugs out of the Terminator's back. Anything larger than 9mm will penetrate the layer, it's mostly meant to prevent his skin from shredding while piloting.) With his implants he can link with just about any computer system in the world, diagnosing and repairing systems, providing intel from street cameras and any other linked system. Henry was trained in high risk air drops for a mission he was to undertake to steal intel from a military facility in North Korea. Too deep in North Korean territory for a secret land-incursion, and the facility was too heavily fortified with anti-air to drop troops in from a helicopter, or even a halo dive without losing troops, they decided to drop Henry in an... unconventional manner. They sent him up in a high speed spy plane, with the intent on having it shot out of the sky. He would eject from the aircraft and get into the base, steal the intel and get out before anyone knew he had survived the crash. That was the first aircraft he'd lost, despite the mission going exactly as according to plan
.
History With the PCMC: Henry joined about 2 years ago, where he promptly shot down a scout UFO. After shooting down the UFO he managed to interface with the ship's onboard computer systems. Although he couldn't make heads or tails of the system, he did manage to download most of the databanks. As far as he knows it's still being interpreted. The rest of his career in the PCMC is fairly unremarkable, having been more of a support capacity, dropping troops off, providing air support, and working in tech when he's not in the air.

Prior History: By all rights Henry should have an extensive criminal record - grand theft auto, evading the police, speeding, etc. However, he has never been caught, he has simply outrun the police in whatever supercar he had stolen that day. Henry went to school for his BS in computer sciences as a naval ROTC. Immediately upon exit he showed an aptitude for piloting, and joined the top gun academy (where most of his money went into fines for quoting the movie.). Henry graduated top of his class and worked as a harrier pilot on a carrier for two years. The navy recognized his capabilities and he was pulled from carrier duty to be a test-pilot for new aircraft. In these new craft Henry pulled inhuman G forces, prompting the necessity for cybernetic implants to keep him alive in these situations. During his second set of four years of service he was subcontracted into the PCMC.

let me know if I screwed something up.

Hey... idea for henry... you put the the controls are neurally implanted in his brain right? What's to stop him from piloting a UAV while he's with the other agents on the ground. Sorta like an eye in the sky support. Idunno its up to you. Just putting it out there :)

A bit of advice when using deviantART pictures.

If you right-click a picture, you usually have the option to open the image in a new tab (or window) or to directly copy the URL for the image, though I find the latter to be a bit moody and can sometimes break the link or not provide the right one (sad face). But opening it in a new tab will give you the URL code for the image specifically, instead of the page the image is on.

Just thought I'd mention that if you didn't already know it. Might be a browser thing, though, or maybe a windows specific thing. I'unno. If it doesn't work, you could always use the BB/QQcode.

Corporal Lance said Cunfuzzler, I'll be honest and shameful and say that I'm not privy to the Hellboy comics. I'm an impure heathen and got my comparisons from the movies (both the two live action and two animated ones... at least two to my knowledge). And I get the drinking thing, Hell, everyone was an alcoholic out in Okinawa because that was the best thing to do on the weekends (can't be in town past midnight, can't drink out in town, bunch of young 20-somethings crammed into one building, is anyone really surprised?). Pretty sure I was one of the worst offenders, not the craziest or loudest drunk, but definitely the most frequent one. I could count on one finger how many days a week I wasn't walking around with some Captain Morgan or a Corona after work.

Honestly, I had no clue of the comics existence until I watched the live action Hellboy movies, and even then didn't read a Hellboy comic for years. That said, if you liked the movies, I'd recommend checking them out.

@Nerendier

Yes it is, thank you. Fixed it.

And as for controlling air support with his implants while on the ground, controlling anything combat related would probably too complicated to do from the ground, but interfacing and getting a quick video of what a UAV someone else is controlling is not outside the realm of possibility, provided he had something to link to that would route him into the UAVs cameras.

I'm going to get Nereid and Nerendier mixed up so much in this RP. Not the characters, since they're differences are distinct. You know... cause one flies planes and the other is a cop who knows her forensics. Not sure how Sybil will feel about her... maybe mixed feelings. He doesn't take jests/banter seriously, but that doesn't mean he finds them funny. But, hey, they can bond over LGBT stuff, maybe? Though, Sybil's all about that non-fraternization shiznick that's usually a rule in most military-esque establishments? Is that a thing? I feel like it should be. Ain't no reason for agents to possibly jeopardize a mission because they're love sick, amirite? Maybe.

I feel like the only person who actually cares about that rule is Sybil. ._. Buncha damn hedonists.

How the Hell do you think I feel? Heh, just joking, but seriously, when I was giving one of the last quickie updates I thought I fucked up Nereid's name when I saw a new post by Nerendier. At least you only have to keep track of who your own character is interacting with, I have to keep track of everything.

So I've updated the OP to include accepted players and the posting rules, I strongly suggest that everyone read them. Accepted characters will be tracked on what they're doing so everyone knows who's doing what, and I've gone ahead and put where everyone is at the beginning of the RP. To clarify, stationed guard duty is something that all agents from intelligence analysts to medical professionals to the tactical teams do, and when your number comes up you go stand duty. On-site Liberty is essentially an agent's free time during their work hours, like a two hour lunch break where they can go get stuff done, the only caveat is that they can't leave the headquarters during this time.

Now I know that I put it in the OP, but I'll go over who's doing what again here. Dr. German Crazy Pants is giving a lecture to several agents concerning a new alien species recently discovered with our epileptic psychic in attendance. Our demonically possessed Russian is currently in his cell, under strict watch from Michelle Rodriguez, Daniel Craig, and two other NPC agents to be identified in the IC. They're in the same block, but they don't have to be directly watching him/them if their respective players don't want them to. M16 man of mystery and our red-headed former cop have the afternoon to do whatever it is they want in Headquarters.

Notice that I left everything sufficiently ambiguous. Holobunny is free to detail any type of alien he wants, for example, and the agents are pretty much free to do as they please within the scenarios they've been given. After I give the first IC post, I'll let everyone have a round or two to get acquainted before the missions start.

Nerendeir, you're CS is good and you're accepted, but I have a slight problem to bring up. Could you possibly add a line of spacing between "Medical History" and "Technical Proficiency"? It was initially hard to pick out the two. I've yet to add him to the "Accepted Characters" list, but I'll do that as soon as possible.

Currently working on the 1st IC post as I speak. Thought up a couple of missions that I think you all should be sufficiently happy with. One is a combat-heavy mission, the other focuses more on intel gathering. Both will be followed by debriefing and intel analysis, and I've already got which players are going on which mission (hint: Players assigned to similar starting scenarios will most likely be going on the same mission).

Now, before I go back to it, I thought I'd supply y'all with a little more info regarding the agents, their behavior, and their skills:

The Agents of the PCMC

An agent of the Paranatural Countermeasures Conglomerate is the best of the best, the cream of the crop, and specially selected from various pools of talent worldwide. Each agent, once selected, will attend 4 months of training covering everything from combat to surveillance to standard procedure and undergoing medical procedures. They will become acquainted with low-level anomalies and paranatural entities and threats overtime throughout this training until their first mission where they will be placed upon a team with senior agents to face no more than a Gamma-level threat. They will be evaluated on their performance in all aspects to include conduct, analytical skill, level-headedness, decisiveness, awareness, and the end-of-operation report they generate. Every agent receives basic training over all aspects of field and support level work and is deemed to be competent in all areas, although every agent has a technical specialty in which they will mainly work.

Every agent receives a standard set of augmentations upon joining. These augmentations include safety measures such as neural implants and drug therapy to prevent mental invasion and mind control, anti-possession runes and charms that may be visible or invisible tattoos or even embedded into bones or branded into skin, inoculations against devastating diseases, and more. They also receive a set of mission operable operations to include GPS tracking chip embedded in the brain stem, RFID hardware device in the brain to allow or deny access to different parts of headquarters and send agent vital status to computers designed to read them, radio communications implanted into inner ear for private communications with a corresponding voice-box responder to allow for wordless and silent vocal communication. Agents may receive more or less augmentations based upon their mission, duties, and proficiencies, but these are the standard suite of medical operations every agent endures.

Agents are assigned a new identity upon joining the PCMC, and their old one is consequently erased. This is achieved by faking their death, although there are options to include close family such as spouse and children into the PCMC community, of whom will have to sign an NDA. An agent will go by their assigned name from then on, but original names may be used when among other agents. It is considered professional to use assigned names when working with other members of the PCMC and informal to use their original names. An agent's original name is to never be uttered outside of PCMC HQ walls.

An agent is expected to know at least the basic details of widely released threats, of which are updated frequently as missions are conducted. There are a pool of known entities and threats that are made known across the PCMC as a whole, but others are restricted to agents of a certain job, rank, or involvement. These special threats, entities, and information are to never be spoken of in front of other agents not involved or in an area where others uncleared to listen can hear. Agents can freely speak of general and widely known paranatural entities in secure locations when appropriate, such as in the HQ or sitting in a PCMC mode of transport like a jet or convoy, but it is forbidden to speak of them outside of these, even in the middle of nowhere or a soundproofed room, as bugs and listening devices are to be suspected. An agent is to speak in code instead, and when referring to anything of a tactical nature is to use noiseless vocal communication with their inset radio comm devices. If an agent is speaking out of turn with regards to classified information, is it encouraged for other agents to tell the offending agent to zip his or her lips. Consequently, it is socially acceptable for the offending agent to give thanks and drop the subject.

An agent is always alert and aware of their environment, always on the lookout for anything suspicious and out of the ordinary. It is this aspect that make PCMC agents valuable as the first line of defense for humanity. An agent also has humanity's survival and the success of the mission on the forefront of their mind, and morality second. An agent would strangle his or her own son with their own hands if instructed by Mission Control. It is this instant obedience to command and harsh suspect of all sources that border on paranoia that make an agent a successful and valuable asset. If an agent is aware or strongly suspect that another agent has been compromised in some way, they are instructed to focus on them as the threat first and take whatever action appropriate, for a compromised agent's knowledge and skill is more dangerous than anything short of an Omega-level reality-ending threat.

I may post or link this in the OP later, but it stays here for now. Back to work on the IC for me.

Alright folks, IC is up!

Tatsu, you're character sheet is good, but I'll require you to post it up in the OOC before you can play.

Everyone else is free to begin. Holobunny will have to start posting for those in on the medical lecture to start with, but both our ace pilot and those guarding the smoke monster Roman have been given scenarios with which to play out. Anyone on on-site liberty can do as they see fit, like be catchin' some shuteye or grabbing lunch at the mess or hitting the facility gym or whatever.

Feel comfortable to get as free-style as you want with it, as long as you stay within your scenarios you're golden. My personal favorite character is Walker, based off of one of my buddies, but Dizzy gets a close second.

...but there's some bad news as well. With the player count including Tatsu, we've got too many players for the two missions I have planned, so I'll need to construct a third one. What does this mean? Nothing much, just that the "getting familiar with each other" posts might drag on a little longer before we get to mission time. I'm pretty sure I still know who's doing the combat one, but I'll need to invent a new one. Got an idea cooking for some good ol' fashioned X-Files like detective work. Stay tuned.
