Tigre, quick question on my part. I need to use the only city in Oden, so can I just call it Oden, or would you prefer a different name?

Also, for everyone else - I've made one little change to both of my characters. Everyone in the world, except the inscripionist and perhaps even Zief know that Virgil and Ella are angels, and everyone naturally assumes that Ella is a beautiful human. Some may realize that Virgil is more than just human, but unless he explicitly tells you what he is, just assume that he's a supernatural being that looks human.

Feel free to simply call it Oden lol Most places with only one town just refer to it as the state that it is located in lol

Okay, I'm going to operate under the assumption that most cities with vegetation are going to be similar to M'alo in that they have wealth and some sort of army/defense force.
I take it that the cities with several eco-generators will be a tier below, but not impoverished, and that the distribution of wealth is proportionate to the number of natural resources they have, and then the number of eco-generators surrounding that city.
For example, the town of Kol'uira is most likely the poorest city due to the fact that it only has one eco-generator, has no natural resources or mountains to protect itself from invaders, and is also right beside Kaz, and the northwestern city by Oden is fairly rich due to the fact that it is smack dab in the middle of all that vegetation.

Blurgh, I'm exhausted. I'll have to start writing tomorrow morning, but I'll go ahead and let you know what I'm planning. Let me know if you don't like anything. I'll start off with Virgil who is currently staying with Ella's adoptive parents in Oden. He hears about Mayor Belloc's plea for help, as M'alo is a well renowned city and their sudden request for aid has been a topic of conversation among the rich and powerful in the city. The government in Oden has only made slight precautionary measures and has enlisted a few more citizens to their army, but not to the extent that M'alo is taking. Shortly after hearing more information about Belloc's plans, Virgil will fly off to M'alo to see just what is going on. He only takes a quick peak and manages to avoid the bandits in the forest. He will then disappear to do investigating on his own, and I'll leave it to you, El_Tigre to choose whether you want him to do anything else. Just PM me, I guess.

I'm also going to introduce Ella on my second part. She will be collecting her reward for her recent mission as a convoy for a caravan of goods from the southern town of Eldroc to the southern town of Treya. Her employer will try to hit on her but to no avail and she goes to the city's tavern in search of a new job when she sees the poster calling for aid and a large sum of money being offered. She is even more intrigued due to the fact that M'alo has been known for being able to fend for itself, and decides to travel there.

All sounds good!

Out of Curiosity, can I get a bit of a roll call to figure out who is all still here?

Clearly here and started writing, but I'm being called into work now . I've barely managed to get Virgil out of bed, but considering this is advance roleplay, I'm going into a bit of detail about his morning rituals to give more insight on his personality.

Another question: Tigre, what is the form of currency called?

Hello people. Been absent myself for a bit ad would love to post IC for this. I have a question concerning the bandits. Are they a well established group that has been around a while, thus having some notoriety, or are they relatively unknown? I ask because Vilos spent time associating with different bandit crews and I didn't know if he would be clued in to any information concerning this specific group of outlaws or not. If not, I totally understand, and if so, I don't want to impose upon your creative control over the NPC's by writing stuff about them. I will hold off on doing so until I hear from you, Tigre, but thought it prudent to ask. Let me know if what I post conflicts with what you are looking for in terms of the setting of M'alo.

I wonder if Vilos and Ella would get along. Their abilities are somewhat similar, but Ella but her forte is with the sword. Their personalities are not going to mesh, that's for sure.

I think that for Vilos, the personality of another person he finds himself working with would not necessarily be an issue even if it conflicted with his on, just so long as they were an asset rather than a liability to the group's ability to achieve its goals. In terms of social interactions, on the other hand, he would probably be a pain in the butt for someone he had a difficult time respecting or relating to due to his sheer arrogance. She has one distinct advantage over some of the other characters in terms of earning Vilos' respect, however: she is female.

I had a question concerning the android characters. Vilos Anderien has infrared vision, meaning that he is able to see heat signatures. What sort of heat signatures would an android potentially put off. I think it is fair to assume that certain mechanical parts, such as a power supply, would generate heat, but would the rest of their bodies as well, or would he spot them for what they are right off? Something to consider. After all, the androids appear human. Is it possible that they do so because they are partially biological in their anatomy so far as the external parts go, like in Terminator? If so, he might not be able to notice their true nature after all.

EnsoNoctis: That is a good question haha They will use a metalic coin known as "Krell". Krell's worth is dependent on the metal used to make it. Copper being the cheapest going up to Adranium (If you missed it, it is a new metal that came along after the great war and often found in Radiation zones. The metal is rare and incredibly strong)

Kickinitoldschool:
About the bandits - After the group handles the bandits they will find out that they were employed by the Halterra legion. If you believe your character would have come across information on bandits being hired by the Halterra Legion than feel free to include that.

As for your Infrared vision and the Android. You will have to talk to NewSun about his character. Android come in several different makes and models and so it would be up to him about whether his true nature would be foiled by Infrared. :)

I don't think Vilos would be privy to such info concerning the Legion, as they are a relatively recent development and he hasn't been involved with the bandits for a few years. I will pretend I didn't read that bit at all. As you said, I will leave the decision up to NewSun. I remember something in his character sheet about A1 doing his best to avoid being revealed as an android, and won't force his hand when it comes to the physical design of his character, especially since it would potentially create plot threads he might not appreciate.

I'm assuming you're referring to my character here. I am working off the assumption that androids of this make would certainly be generating heat in all areas of the body, with the hottest area being at the centre thanks to reactor placement. However, i'd also imagine that the distribution of heat is slightly different to that of a human's, so an observant enough character may be able to tell the difference between an android and a human if they know what slight differences they're looking for.

@Kickinitoldschool - I guess we will see what happens when they meet.

I just want to let everyone know that I am still writing the first part of the IC. From the looks of it, the first part might be quite long, so I may actually not have a POV part for Ella. There's a lot that needs to be covered regarding the news surrounding the events in M'alo and I want to cover them sufficiently.

@Tigre - Will it be alright if I give some of the bandits something to set them apart from other bandits? I'm at the part of my draft where Virgil has just finished a conversation with the Daedalus family and one of Oden's generals about the recent events in M'alo and he will soon be on his way to the Treya region to do some investigating, but I need something to indicate that they are no ordinary bandits. I was thinking that quite a feww of them will be carrying Adranium weapons and/or armor for the time being.

My sincerest apologies for my lateness in posting IC. Personal matters are interfering with my writing for the moment, but I will hopefully have the first post done in due time. I will be free as soon as May 15th CST, but I want to try and finish it before then. I'm also changing a few parameters on both of my characters and went in depth with the holy energy concept in Virgil's CS to explain just how it works.
