Vance Hanerson always arrived early, it was his chance to read up on the latest aquarium books before school. This of course led him to miss the protesters and the new students ariving as he was already inside and reading peacefully. He had just finished a great article on the effects of global warming on reef ecosystems when he noticed a girl entering the hallway.

Walking up to the curiously smelling girl, he was curious as to what made that smell. He wiped a finger on her arm, then tasted it. "From the sea ... fascinating" He said. It was a lie, he had already guessed that she was probably the same as normal humans, and already lost interest. However, the fishy smell had got him on the track that led to his fish obsession. He wondered how often she saw rare species of fish, knowing that living underwater would be awesome for it. The ocean was really the ultimate aquarium, and all he did was replicate it.

"Keshi, Keshi!" A little voice shouted as loud as it could, right into Takeshi's ear. He groaned and gently pushed source away. "You're going to make me late!" The six year old climbed up onto her older brother's bed, huffing and puffing as she lifted one leg at a time to struggle into the bed. "Ke~shi," she began to jump on the bed, calling his name over and over again. The red head suddenly sat up, wrapping his arm around his little sister as he mercilessly ticked her ribs. The room filled with screams of laughter as Ai tried to fight her brother away. When she finally wiggled away, she ran out of the room, proclaiming that she was going to get ready and asking if Takeshi would cook her an omelet. Even if he dashed to school, he wouldn't make it on time. He lifted himself from his bed, pulling on the white button up along with his brown trousers. A quick tussle of the hair and he was ready, after brushing his teeth of course. He then made his way down the stairs to oblige to his sister's wishes.

"Did you brush your teeth?" He cocked an eyebrow at the little girl across the table that she was trying to escape from. With a mouth full of eggs, she rolled her eyes and stomped back into the bathroom. "Don't forget your hat," he warned as he tossed the dishes in the sink. Ai made her way back in, with the white hat on top of her cheeks, which flushed with excitement. Takeshi half wished he was that happy over school. He grabbed his brown blazer as she ushered him out of the home, telling him to "lock up". After dropping her off with her first grade class, he made his way to the middle school lazily. In his opinion, he should have been at the high school but his attendance had been so bad the year before, they held him back despite passing the exams.

Students from Mihami where practically sprinting down the hill from which Takeshi lived. He caught a few words of sparse conversation, but soon realized it was over the "sea students" and lost interest. To him they were just more people he'd have to look out for, in case they tried to threaten his delinquent position. He caught himself laughing at the foolish thought as his eyes drifted to his scars that adorned his knuckles. To his surprise, the bell hadn't rang yet and it was already five minutes past the time they were supposed to start. He assumed it was due to the new students and the picket signs that each held something disgustingly rude. His eyes trained back towards the front of the school as he watched the scenes before him. A fellow land student ran into a girl wearing a blue uniform, the girl flipping over him and practically slamming against the concrete. He didn't even offer to help her up and instead, kept walking. Takeshi narrowed his eyes at the guy's back as he kept walking. The girl's friend helped her up and they walked into the building.

With a sigh, Takeshi made his way into the classroom. He walked past the two students standing outside the classroom, eyes meeting the blue ones of the girl's as he shot her a smile, that looked more like a smirk in his case. He kicked his feet up onto his desk. The teacher eyed him, as if he was going to say something, and Takeshi smirked, waving lazily back. The teacher looked down at his roll, almost visibly panicking when he realized just who the red head was.

Nessa had locked her bike up and ignored all the things going on around her, not really noticing the new students. She realized they were from the sea by the very visible difference between their uniforms. She wondered if they would ever wear the one like she was wearing or if they would be forced to wear the one they had on to show off that they were from the sea. She put away some of her things in her locker before heading to class with all books and things she would need for the morning. She noticed a girl from the sea waiting by the door, along with a boy with red hair who she thought she remember as a troublemaker. She decided not to care at all and went to take her place at a desk that was near the front of the class but not in the front row. She liked being able to see and hear clearly what her teacher was saying.

Taeyeon sighed as both Edel and herself finally arrived at the school. Taeyeon turned to Edel giggiling. "Oh stop it. Let's goo." she smiled now turning and seeing Kuro she blushed when she saw him. She did have a crush on him but was to scared and embarrassing to say, plus it seemed that he won't be interested in her. But she was not going to tell Kuro about her true feelings, so now she had to be friends with him. "Kuuuuroooo!~" giggeled waiving her hand at her cru- friend. "Hiiii, I didn't see you earlier on. Where were you?" Taeyeon smiled at him turning back at Edel. "Girl let's go!" Taeyeon said now walking inside of the school signaling Kuro to come as well. As she arrived at the school she looked around the hall seeing how pretty it was and it seemed that they did a bit of decorating which was nice and all! It smelled good.

As Taeyeon was walking she noticed Nakamura infront of their classroom. "Nakamuraa." she said jogging towards her. "You had to wait for bot-.." she took a deep breath. "I ran so much today. But you had to wait for both me and Edel. It was meant for us to come together to school! And Kuro. Wow, you sure run fast. You know how slow I am running!" she placed her back on the wall and waited for her friends to arrive with Nakamura.

Kuro saw Taeyeon as she called him.

-'Dammit, don't blush, don't blush, amd I blushed.'

Kuro ran towards Taeyeon, he was blushing a lot. He arrived next to her. She looked more beautiful than ever. He was as red as the Red Moon.

-"Hey Taeyeon, I was uhhh thinking, about uhh things.."

As he walked in the School, he saw many people making fun of them. He just ignored them. He saw that Taeyeon was talking with Nakamura. He walked towards them.

-"Hey Nakamura, how fast are you? Haha." Kuro said.

Edel giggled as he followed behind Taeyon, when they arrived at the entrance the classroom, she greeted Nakamura. She placed her hands on her cheeks and pouted, "I'm tired... And hungry... My face hurts." She remembered how her face collided with the concrete.

The girl let out a small sigh as she listened to the ongoing conversation about Nakamura's speed. She appeared to have dozed off and was now standing there with a rather blank look on her face.
Edel used to be unnoticeable, but now all eyes were fixated on her hand her friends. Land dwellers were so rude, her first encounter with someone from the surface gave her a very bad opinion on them.

"no, I was just curious if you secreted mucus, which would be the source of the fish's smell. It also serves as a membrane to help swim and keep parasites off" He said, going off into his fish talk. "And no, people do not usually taste each other as a greeting here" he said. She didn't seem to be too bright. "Ummmmm ... okay?" He said, a little confused on how easily she just accepted him as an ally.

Takeshi sighed as the students began to make their way into the classroom, the sea students standing in the front. He peered around him, seeing an empty seat in front of him and beside him since no one wanted to sit by him, purely out of fear. He snorted a laugh at watched as most of the land students tried to make themselves peer bigger than they really were, as if trying to be intimidating. "Oi, stop your staring," he warned to those around him, just in earshot. Most proceeded to look around but the kid in front of him just scoffed something under his breath and turned back to stare at the sea students, his back hunched as he tried to look mean. Takeshi smirked and grabbed the back of the kid's top, yanking him so he was bent back over the desk behind him. "What was that?" The words snarled from his lips.

"N-nothing, I'm sorry!" Takeshi let him go, gaze hardening.

"That's what I thought," he let the student's collar go and leaned back in his chair as he awaited the students to introduced themselves, his eyes gazing out the window and into the clouds in the sky.

Taeyeon turned around seein Edel arriving. "You are always hungry." she giggeled turning her head towards Kuro. "I know right. She is like the fastest runner out of all of us. I run slow, Edel gets tired really fast and I don't know yet about you Kuro. Haha. " smiled patting Kuro's back while turning to see Nakamura and the boy from earlier licking the girl. "Oh.... wow." Taeyeon noticed that she had to step up a bit for her friends, this guy was a total jerk, especially with Edel. "You don't need to be friends with a guy like that. He is so rude that called Edel an idiot." she said squinting her eyes at Vance shooting him a mean look. "And don't you dare to touch Nakamura again!" Taeyeon was so scared and nervous because she never talked to someone like this, she blushed a little but still kept a straight face on.

Vance had already taken a seat near the middle of the class, however he only was half paying attention. Why? Because this wasn't a class on biology or on fish.

Jack had already taken a seat in the back. He didn't care about school much, it was too easy. He was quietly and happily listening to his music, as it would be harder for people to bump into him while they were seated. He involuntarily started humming to the tune of the song he was listening too, however it was quiet enough that it wouldn't disturb the class too much.

"Hm?" She shook her head to wake herself up. Taeyon appeared to be rather upset from this mornings encounter, so Edel went ahead and took a step inside of the classroom. She attempted to stand straight and not look groggy as she introduced herself. "I'm... I'm..." The girl forgot her name again, but after a few solid moments of thinking, she resumed her introduction, "Edelweiss Smithens, and it's a pleasure to be your new classmate." Politely the girl bowed her head down, almost falling asleep in the position, but luckily she stood back up just in time.
The girl didn't have a good nights rest, nor did she eat breakfast, so her usual slow behavior was slower. She sauntered over to sit in the middle row as the teacher instructed.

Kuro walked in after Nakamura, giving Taeyeon a signal to walk in. As he walked he looked at the teacher and the Students.

-"Hello Everyone, My name is Kurokowa Flamel, you can call me Kuro, Nice to meet everyone." Kuro said.

He looked at the Teacher and Students, then he bowed, out of courtesy. He sat down in a chair, he waited for everyone else to sit down. In the mean time, he took out his pencil and began to draw the Sea Village.

Taeyeon nodded as they all walked into the class. She seemed nervous and she was really blushing because the hard part about going to school as a new student was introducing infront of people. She sighed noticing her friends happily introducing themselves but Taeyeon blushed nervously as she would clear her throat twirling a piece of her light blue hair with her index finger. "I am Taeyeon.." she took a deep breath and spoke again. "Taeyon Jung..." and with that she went to go sit down at the back.

Nessa looked at all the people talking around her, some from Land and some from Sea, but she could care less at this point. She was getting a bit annoyed with hearing all the voices around her since they were all talking about silly things. She then looked over when she noticed movement out of the corner of her eye. It was Takeshi who was intimidating another boy to stop staring at the people from the Sea. Her natural curiosity forced her to go over and talk to the troublemaker. "May I ask you a few questions?" She asked politely, thinking it might be a better way to start talking to him instead of just bombarding him with questions.

Takeshi listened as the Sea students spoke, his chin resting boredly in his palm. As interested as he felt he should have been, he just wanted to leave. He had to graduate from this place though, and couldn't afford to be fooling around. He had a little sister to take care of. The kid in front of him moved a seat up when the teacher wasn't looking, leaving Takeshi surrounded by empty seats. He chuckled to himself, reminding himself that it was a good thing nobody was attempting to be friendly with him this year. He wasn't at school to make friends. The seat beside him made a sound against the ground suddenly as someone sat down. With a cocked eyebrow, he tilted his head to the side, eyes training across the girl who had made herself at home beside him.

What the...

She asked if she could ask him a couple of questions and he smirked, leaning back in his seat. "Depends on how many," he rested his head on his hand while his arm moved to his chair, his mahogany eyes looking upon her expectantly. He wanted to hear the Sea students, but he had all year to get to know if they'd be a threat to him at all.

I step into the school quickly, As is usual, people stop their conversations to whisper harsh words to each other as I pass by, and people move quickly out of my way. The words "freak" and "psychopath" follow me like a shadow, and being the way I am, I treat them like a shadow . I ignore it, and the only time I notice it is out of the corner of my eye.

I make my way to my locker and open it quickly, hanging my leather messenger bag inside of the locker. I remove my ancient and rather tattered psychology book from the top shelf of my locker, then turn only to be aware of the closest thing I have to a " bully" standing behind me .

"why you gotta dress like such a fuckin' freak man?"



"Why do you feel the urge to be an absolute disappointment to everyone around you?"
I ask in response, to be completely honest, he's probably the closest thing I have to a friend, despite how much we hate each other. Our relationships acts out predictively, he makes an asshole comment to me, I make an asshole comment to him, he scoffs in disbelief and walks away to his non-hate based jock friends.
