Where is everyone with posts? I understand there are other RP and life obligations, but it's been much longer than that. We all have much to do, yet we should all also be honest. If we are consistently too busy with other non-life obligations, we should be open and declare such so the rest can decide how to continue Apocalyptica. To be completely honest, I'm getting a little annoyed hearing that everyone is up for this, then coming to see a severe lack of activity...

I feel like I'm missing something here.

On that, what's everyone's status in terms of posts and what not?

I've currently just added to the collab, Zombie and me are working on. He mentioned it earlier in the OOC which since our scene requires some back and forth, it won't make much sense that we should post it independently. It would have us making lower then advance required posts to do that.

My terms for Abbie, I don't know to be honest. You mentioned you might've had some idea but until I know any more details, Frankly, I can't do shit with her. I told I had an idea to free her up but until I know I'm able to do it, without interrupting in your plans, I can't do it. I even sent you a pm with ideas for a plotline to ensure you know everything Aweena did yet I've not even heard anything on that either. Even a simple: Great, thanks but I know this all already, would've be great. I don't even if my idea I pitched will work with Aweena gone now. All I've got to play is Remmy which sort of kills my decision to focus more on Abbie right now.

To be clear, I didn't respond because of my idea. And my idea was actually that it was all a non-issue -- Aweena messaged me last week saying she was coming back. I've waited, thinking she'd ride back in by now so all that wouldn't be for me to start positioning only to have the work all for not. Of course, it's been a little while yet again and waiting seems more detrimental. I hope she comes back.

Be conscious as intentional as you can with the collab. I understand the desire to get people as close as possible, to develop relationships, but I fear forcing it may be unnatural while also slowing down our already snail-like pace. We don't have a big group and those we have are a bit spread. It means a collab that takes 1 week + denies us of two people who might otherwise post, putting those who already did in a sort of awkward position. Obviously, y'all are also partnered with someone who's half-in-half-not, so that does pose another issue entirely.

Please try to finish the collab with time in mind, while of course preserving quality. I'll PM Aweena once more, perhaps you should do the same? The fact she showed up briefly gave me hope, but also makes me even more hesitant to help get Abbie sorted then have the problem disappear. I'm sure you can understand that position.

I understand this, however the last thing I knew was that Aweena said she would tell you and that was before she vanished. So not having a response, even a minor one, leaves me feeling like I’m walking on eggshells as a player. That in turn doesn’t help my motivation for the rp to be honest. Having a reply lets me know A) you got, B) if there’s any issues, then you have the info to point out where and C) lets me know you acknowledged it and it’s not a deep, dark secret which would pop out suddenly at you. I don’t like leaving a GM in the dark about a plot that could be conflicting make sense?

That’s why I suggested to her to have a Pm between the 3 of us, even if you weren’t going to have an issue with it or not as involved with the plotline. At least you would know what’s going on, had a reference to refer to and be able to ensure it still able to happen if Aweena vanishes. I rather not get my hopes up for something and discover you weren’t too keen on the plan in the first place. Had that happened which didn’t end pretty in another rp.

We’re right now, 2 pages in to the Collab which is to me is rather good. I like how it’s turning out and likely once it reaches the bottom of page 2, we’ll post it. I think then we should be able to branch off to individual post. However, I can’t promise my posts will be 3-4+ paragraphs every time Shon. It might be at least 2 paragraphs sometimes. Mainly so I am not putting in tons of unneeded fluff and risk moving the scene too far forward. Is that alright Shon?

I’ll try, but don’t think I’ll have better luck then you to be honest.

I understand the position as I’ve been there before. Yet another part of being a GM is also tied greatly to moving the story and keeping it flowing, which includes being flexible and taking risks that might need to be edited later. If I had waited until Inkwolf, a GM for Blood Act before I took it over, to come back in order to free up a PC that Player would never had gotten to enjoy the rp and likely would’ve watched the plotline more by on the sidelines. I felt it was better to plan for the worse, and fix it later.

Worse that happens is that Aweena comes back and we have to figure a way to undo what’s been done but it’s not impossible. At least in this moment, we have a temporary fix until something changes. Unlike a book, this plotline isn’t set in complete stone and so there’s likely to odd bumps that won’t smooth out nicely or stick out like a sore thumb. However they will be long forgotten in the thicker of things once it’s over.

@Zombie: you're up in the collab!

I never heard anything, Fallen. We had a ton of conversations going on between us, with potential members, and for other projects too. Considering I also do side commissions and we both work, it's not too crazy that the idea got lost in the fray especially when it was in such a liquid form.

In terms of length of post, quality is always first. But with the propositions I sent you based on that planning y'all had, I suspect it won't be an issue. When things are so open, if you ever feel cornered and like you don't have a ton of options, just explore more around. I read about Chico in the OOC and realized just how truly massive a place we've made. Check it out, compare it to the maps... it's insane. So there's a lot of potential for experiences with all that if you're open to them. We should have some fresh blood in the RP soon too, so that'll help.

I've been in this situation before too and have my own way of going about things. Thank you for the advice, but don't be offended if I don't follow it to the letter.

And that's the reason I asked and wanted to send you a copy just in case. What might be alright for one GM, isn't always the same for the other which can be a problem when 2 GMs are running one rp. I know this for a fact because I have 2 other GMs in Blood Act. XD

I only asked if it was alright. Not every single post will need to be 3-4 paragraphs of 5-8 sentences long, every time. It's not the creativity I would have trouble with but feeling like I need to talk about the clouds, Remmy's favorite color or other random stuff just to make the post quote. Currently you answered that.

I'm not asking you to GM like me, but I'm merely explaining. So if my text comes off as that, it's not my intentions. To be honest Shon, the way you're GMing is new and confusing to me because it feels more hands off then I'm use to. That's why I'm trying to adjust or at least find a happy medium we both can be happy with.

We are. Please check out the OP as we use Narrative Character Sheets (little different from the traditional) and you can get an idea of our cast thus far. We're mostly in Chico right now and have some big plans coming up. Feel free to shoot over any questions you may have.

Fallen, I was tempted to post our collab but something kept bothering me, so I figured I'd let you take a final look at it to decide.

Looks alright to me. Since the pair are splitting up, I assume Coltrane will end up at the diner then and meet up with Simon? If that's the case, I'll let my Cajun fade out because it's unlikely Remmy will be there right away. I'll use this time to get Abbie up to date and out of her limbo.

Firecracker: Since Aweena and me mentioned that Trake was with us, we used him as a NPC at that time, mind pming me? We can work out something.

I suppose I should start with my name. I’m Dante Ralston. I’m forty-six years old. My hair’s getting kinda long; it’s reaching past my ears a little now. It’s a chestnut brown and sort of untidy these days. I need a shave too, I got some thick stubble going on right now past my moustache and goatee, and those are getting thick and untidy too. I’m about five… nine, I think? Yeah, five, nine sounds about right. My eyes are a dark brown color too. Heh… my mom used to always joke and say I was full of shit… my wife would say that too. Ah well. They’re both gone now. Anyway, I used to be a gunsmith before this apocalypse happened. I made my own revolver actually, and I keep it strapped to my hip all the time. I’ve gotten to be a pretty good shot with it. I carry a scoped hunting rifle too, so I can take those things down at a distance, but I usually choose to get by ‘em without engaging, so I usually do a lot of sneaking. It's become a strength of mine, oh and gunsmithing of course. I can refill ammo as well. I don't have much endurance though, on account of my nasty smoking habit. I can't really fight one on one; I prefer shooting over close combat.

I guess I can blend in with a crowd pretty easily. I’m not too noticeable. I usually just wear plain black T-shirt with a chest pocket on them so I can keep my cigarillos handy. Other than that, I just wear plain jeans and my boots.Pretty plain, like I said. Anyway, back to me before this whole apocalypse thing. I used to be a gunsmith. I was married with two boys too. My wife and youngest son died when it first hit. My oldest enlisted with a guard regiment at the Chico haven. I decided to settle down there for a bit. At least my son’s flourishing in this new world and found some happiness with a girl he met. I’m not doing so well. I’m an easygoing guy, and I’ll talk to just about anyone, but I still have nightmares about my wife and youngest, and I hit the bottle a little too hard at times, but it’s not a big issue.

It's brief, but I'd say what it lacks in length it makes up for in quality. I get a good sense about Dante's mindset and a glimpse at his personality, a snack-sized portion, but enough.

Add two strengths and two weaknesses and I'll add you to the list. The Smithing definitely sounds like a strength and his sneaking? Let me know if you wrote them in and I'm just missing them.

Oh, and of course, welcome to the Pirate Crew. I'm sure Dante will fit right in.

@InkBlood: You're good to post and added to our list. Welcome again! I hope to see something from you soon.

@Zombie & Fallen: I'll post after Fallen has had her chance. Zombie, I don't want to say too much, but I have an idea that would link us up with Dani and the original plot Aweena and I had formed for Chico. In other words, I think we're all more than ready to finally see just what the hell made us want to start here. I'll try to gently push us in that direction, but please, do NOT feel forced. Do as you please.

@FreeFall: Let's connect. I don't mind splitting my posts between characters. We've talked a little about the what's to come with our people, but I want to know what I can do before I post for Joshua again.

I'll have a post up after Fallen and/or FF.

As a note to everyone thinking of introducing a new character (new members as well), we are going to have a fantastic entrance possibility in Mackinac coming up soon. If you're looking for something a bit nautical, you probably want to pay attention.
