@Silver Yeah, I imagined artillery in a GEAR sense being more to hit entrenched infantry in single buildings, which would be huge risks for GEARs in urban environments (One guy with an RPG hidden in an apartment window you don't know about could be all it takes). Basically, infantry killer and fire for effect. Very good for covering advances too. But thanks for the clarification ^^

Just checking. What kind of simulation would the ammo be? Solid projectile (even paint) would be too high risk whey targeting infantry so I'm figuring laser hit detection/similar.

Also in terms of damage scaling. How effective would the EvD rockets on Ashers GEAR be against buildings? The EvDs use this warhead http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-explosive_squash_head for anti-fortification purposes. I limited myself to 5 so I could equip bigger warheads to them. I'm assuming the rockets would have minimal effect on modern armoured targets if it could even hit them. The rockets would likely be "slow".

Yeah, I was thinking laser-simulation type ammunition as well, as it's easier than anything else.
As for the rockets, I'd say they'd probably be relatively effective against structures, especially roughly made ones, or light ones, and if they're designed for use against fortifications, I would say they'd probably pack the right kind of punch to demolish them fairly effectively with a few hits in the right places.

FYI, to give you all plenty of warning, the training exercise probably won't launch until Sunday, as I'm going to be away from home from Thursday to Sunday PM (GMT), and I don't want to start, and then be unable to post.
I'll keep the responses to the briefing questions and any small-talk going, and I'll move us to the hangar if everyone is ready to move, but I don't want the (hopefully) faster pace to begin without me being able to reply.
We seem to get a lot quieter on weekends anyway, so it shouldn't make a huge difference, but I thought it was polite to let you all know :)
