Asta - it's never open because no-one drops out. Though that said, it has gone dead currently, but that's due to it being exam time for people who are in education. If people do drop out, then I'll let you know, but there's already a waiting list.

For the rest of you, I'm waiting on posts from a few people. I'll give it til tomorrow for messages to say 'this is where I've been' at least, if not IC posts from people who are quiet, and then the banhammer is coming out. Exams or not, some communication would have been welcome. Also, I'm bored of waiting, and this battle has gone on too long, and ended up completely where I didn't want it to.
No PVP again...

Never mind what I said previously - I'm going to make a post today, hopefully shortly, to get things moving along and try and bring this to a close (the battle, I mean), so that we can continue. Everyone's made a post, more or less, and I can keep it rolling onward so we don't lose all momentum. Everyone who's otherwise engaged in exams can catch up easily enough afterward, as everyone else is kind of waiting, and it's not fair to leave the majority of people hanging.

Those of you who have reported in and made posts, thanks for doing so and letting me know, you're all awesome. I have PM'ed Kyelin, who seems to be absent at the moment.

Right, I've made a post bringing the exercise to a close, and continuning the intrigue going on behind the scenes. After a short debrief, we'll get some out of cockpit time to speak to each other (or hide in your rooms and not talk to each other, if that's your thing), before the next mission comes up, and the real story gets going.

I've also extended invitations to the few people we had waiting for positions to open up or who missed out the first time around, and also to Hailfire who expressed an interest in rejoining us.
My reasoning behind this is that hopefully, with a few more warm bodies, we'll avoid the downtime as much, and keep things moving. Kyelin has also informed me that they've dropped out as they feel they're having problems writing posts.

I think i'm going to have Adrian try and take on Shona as some kind of apprentice. It could get pretty awkward.

That sounds like a good idea to me - it'll be a good way to keep both of your characters interacting with each other, and having someone to talk to, even if it is awkwardly...!

Personality: A rather cold and calculating woman, she will not return humor, and shes rarely seen smiling at all. She feels obligated to finish a job, and doing it right the first time. It is what makes her such a good leader.
Personal History: A serious feline woman that never cared about money or standing, despite her rather provocative appearance . She joined the military to prove that she was not a wild cat. People who earned it get respect, and she certainly made that impression through basic training. She climbed the ranks quickly, excelling at mainly strategy and forward planning. Soon her superior gave her command of an infantry squad. Her first experience walking into the locker room was...less than stellar. Suffice to say they were not expecting a woman to lead them...She never talks about it.
