Hey everybody! Okay, I'll get past the intro and just explain: I'm planning to reboot my successful Supernatural Academy RP from the old site. I'll be posting details from the old OoC here, but I'm seeing who was involved with the original RP that would like to try this again. Also, if somebody doesn't show up and you think that their character is interesting, then we can figure out how to adjust them to fit your preferences.

Worthington's Academy for the Supernatural
In the deepest reaches of Europe, there lays a school.. This school is hidden from the general populace by an array of magical barriers and invisibility spells. The reasons this school is hidden away is due to its true nature. This school... Is Worthington's Academy for the Supernatural. The purpose of the academy is to train young monsters, entities and mythological creatures about the human world and how to survive inside of it, as well as how to blend in with human society and live peacefully amongst them. However, not all of the students are fond of humans, and three of these students are not fond of monsters.. Those three students are Hunters. They were born into a family who is known famously for destroying the beasts and creatures of this world. Some say that their bloodline is just a myth, but their name is the one thing that all monsters fear. They are... The Helsings.
But even with these hidden humans attending the academy, things are as normal as they should be... Except for the dark shadow that currently hovers over the academy. Something dark is happening inside of those hallowed halls... Something even more powerful and malicious then anybody could have imagined. And it begins... With a horn, and the ringing of a bell.. Time for school, kiddies.

Hemokinesis is the ability to control and manipulate blood with the mind. Its dangerous and puts a really great pressure on the user. The more blood they control the more they drain of their own energy and in the end of they don’t know they limits they will pass out. However the offensive capabilities of this power are massive. Having the ability to drain large amounts of blood out of even the smallest cut and even stop the blood in short amounts of time (not long enough to make it fatal). Also for defensive uses its great. Pumping blood around in a person’s body and making the blood avoid damaged areas, so the patient won’t bleed out.
Background-
Growing up in the cold north of Norway he has gotten used to the cold. He has always had a high blood pressure and a bit more blood than anyone else, but nothing that rose too much of an eyebrow. He played outside often, but now at age 15 he is changing. He has gotten a sick obsession with blood and how it works. As the time of the year where it’s dark outside 24/7 his family has gotten a bit afraid, they even called him a vampire a few times. Joining his father for a hunting trip Henry was at his happiest in a long time. His father aimed for a deer, but because of a sudden movement the shoot only made a wound. Henry didn’t know what he was doing, but in a short amount of time he made the small wound bleed like a river, just to pass out right after. The poor creature suffered a painful death and Henry’s dad was worried about his son.
As his power started to grow and he found himself slowly gaining more and more control he was sent a letter by the Helsing Academy. After a long talk with his parents he was told he was a Helsing and that he belonged there. Feeling hurt that such a thing had been hidden from him his whole life he ran upstairs, packed his things and got ready to leave. With a quick good bye he was ready to move to his new home.
Personality-
Well some call him a sadist others call him just plain old crazy. The truth is afraid. He has no idea about what he is doing with his powers and even what they are. He is afraid of how they work, how they will affect him and everything else around him. He smiled much more before, but every so often his mouth curls up into a cute little smile. He enjoys life and likes to explore. Inside him there is a void made of loneliness, a void that he hopes to fill with friends someday.

He is gay, but still hiding it. Other then that he has never learned the truth about his real mom. He has always been told that the woman living with his dad was, but the true story is that his dad got drunk once and things got interesting later that night. 9 months later Henry was placed on the stairs of his dads home.

Background: Long, long ago, there was a cursed sword forged in the fires of hell from the core of a star that fell to earth and polluted many rivers with dark energy know as Wormwood. Wormwood claimed the souls of many great hero's of his time and slaughtered thousands of people in the hands of his corrupted wielders. After many decades, the forces of good finally managed to put a stop to Wormwood by shattering him into pieces. However, there came a group of cultists who one day decided to reforge Wormwood and use him for their own goals. After decades spent finding his shards, they were finally ready to bring Wormwood back into the world. After he had been ritual had been preformed and Wormwood changed into his human form, it was not an imposing figure that they saw, but a baby. Deciding this gave them the chance to raise him to suit their needs, they renamed him Grandark. However, it quickly became apparent that Grandark was nothing like Wormwood; where Wormwood delighted in the suffering of living things, Grandark was a gentle soul who had no interest in fighting. Terrified that they screwed up, the cultists began abusing Grandark, hoping to darken his heart. They're plans were cut short however when the vampire lord's daughter found her way into the hidden temple where they kept Grandark. Coming across a horribly beaten beaten Grandark, she decided right then and there that she was going to help him escape after hearing about his life. Together, the two of them made their way out, a trail of badly injured cultists marked the path they took

• A Desert Eagle with silver bullets
• A leather whip with a bladed metal tip (think Simin Belmont's whip from Castlevania)
Abilities:
While Vance cannot perform incredible acts of agility or blood control like his cousin Henry, he has exceptional skills with alchemy. He can create potions and wield basic spells such as casting a small array of embers to create a fire or manipulating the power of both natural and unnatural light to suit his needs (he can make the room brighter or darker), among other things.
However, he is very skilled with the use of olden Monster Slaying techniques, thanks to the Helsing Academy in East Germany. He learned the proper way to impale a vampire through the heart with a stake, which gun with silver bullets did the most damage to werewolves, how to properly trap and chain up a Boggart so when it tried to change shape it wound up slowly killing itself, and many more brutal but efficient ways of destroying the monstrosities threatening humanity. Along with the knowledge of these techniques, came the ever-growing ability of divinity. With this, he can use the power of the Bible and holy artifacts to instantly destroy a monster, but he must be very careful about how he does this. If he were to use the power for his own purposes, such as killing an innocent monster who has done no wrong, or even a human being, then he gets a scar on his right arm. They act like tally marks and will add up the more times he commits such a sin. If he were to ever get 7 of them, then his body would fill with Devine light and explode. Upon his death, he would be tormented for all eternity for abusing the powers of The Lord.
Currently, Vance has 2 of these marks. One for destroying a Patch-Work Person (Frankenstien's Monster-like creature made from multiple bodies of dead humans and animated again). The creature begged to die, and Vance willingly agreed out of pity, not because it deserved to die. The second one he got for brutally executing a Vampire who had eaten an entire village's livestock, but never harmed a mortal in its life.
Relationship Status: Single, but he can't shake off a certain little Birdie.
Background: Born and raised in New York, Vance (or "Van", as he preferred to be called) was given a pretty decent upbringing. His mother and father went missing when he was a little kid, leaving him in the care of his mother and father. Growing up, he found himself strangely fascinated by the paranormal and supernatural entities, his favourite forms of entertainment were horror stories or films. He couldn't get enough of them and the sheer concepts of monsters both perplexed and amazed him. As he entered his adolescent stage, he began to investigate into these phenomena and searched to find the real monsters of this world. He knew with imaginings of monsters like vampires and werewolves, ghosts and goblins, wraiths and demons, that there had to have been some sort of supernatural influence.. But what he found shocked and terrified him.
He discovered that not only are monsters real, but they also co-exist with human beings in disguise. He learned that these creatures either threatened humanity, or praised it, but his view on these creatures changed immensely on October 12th, 2002. On that fateful day, he witnessed a full-out attack on New York by a group of rogue monsters consisting of some of the most deadly species. Vampires, Lycans, Harpies, Mutants, Zombies, Animalistic and Mythological Beasts, Demons, Gremlins, Possessed Objects, and a demon by the name of Redica. The NYPD was useless against these beasts and were quickly gutted down like lambs to the slaughter. About halfway through the horrifying night, Vance was saved from a Hellhound by a man dressed in what looked like a Van Helsing Halloween costume. The man explained he was part of a Monster Hunting legion and they had been tracking that particular group for some time now. With more of the hunters piling into the streets, the monsters were driven back and the mortals were enchanted so they forgot the events... But the enchantments did not work on Vance for some reason.
Upon further investigation, it was revealed that Vance was in fact a monster hunter by blood. For it was always said that those who are descended from hunters bear a sign on their bodies. For Vance, it was a birthmark that resembled a cross with an arrow going through it. This symbol was widely appropriated with that of the Helsing family due to the similarities in the family crest of the house. So, it was said that day that Vance Hemisworth had died, and "Van" Helsing was born. The 10 year old boy was instantly shipped off to the Helsing Academy and studied the art of hunting monsters for 5 years before he returned to his normal life. His fascination was still monsters and the supernatural, but he preferred it when they were laying in front of him in a dead heap. Now, he has been told by the famous "Order of the Hunt" to infiltrate a school for monsters and investigate better ways to stop anti-humanity acts before they even start.
Other: His training at the Academy has made him into a cold and solitary person, often never showing any emotion. However, he's still a good guy deep down. He's a bit racist towards monsters of all kinds and thinks that if you were a monster, then you threatened humanity and your life would be forfeit. But, this attitude is not as serious as it had been in the past due to his interactions with non-threatening beasts, including a few encounters with monsters that Vance couldn't bring himself to kill.

For one, it "seals" demonic powers, and thus, if a demon-like creature is struck or wrapped in it, it stops them from being able to use their powers for a short while (And if they're wrapped in it, it stops completely until they are unbound). The chain can also extend infinity and be controlled telekinetically by Louis. However, it mainly serves to keep his demon form in check, which has it's own unique abilities.
In his demon form, Louis takes on the form he calls "The Black Beast", otherwise shorten as BB. BB has many unique features that makes him difficult to deal with if you have some reason to fight him: For one, BB is mostly a sentient mass of tar-like liquid. He requires no "organs" or even a skeletal structure to survive. Thus, physical attacks tend to go right through him, but do little to no harm. And while he doesn't require them to live, he does have some organs and bones in his strange amorphous body, but they're not his. He can shape the organs and bones into various appendages or objects to suit his current needs, like making a rope out of intestines, or a skeletal claw to grab things. BB is also capable of changing his shape and size as will, capable of becoming colossal or microscopic as the situation demands. BB also has a unique ability to "adapt" various organics to his own body; for example, he can emulate a dragon's fire breath if BB can get his hands on however dragons breath fire. He can also pick up a werewolf's speed if he manages to take their legs. Lastly, BB is capable of illusions that effect how one perceives their world, allowing him to do things like create false images, sounds, smells, and even tastes if his victims are weak willed. At his strongest, he can create illusions that effects a person's physical sense of touch; he could quite possibly make a perosn feel as though they have been decapitated, without actually having the action done.
However, Louis can only access his BB form when he is "Starved" of human flesh (Specifically their hearts). And even than, it is not a voluntary transformation; if his starvation is strong enough, he will turn into The Black Beast, and in this form he cannot revert back until he has eaten enough human hearts to slate his hunger. And since eating people's hearts is generally not something that is approved of in popular society, Louis uses his Holy Lock to prevent himself from being forced to become The Black Beast, and even than, he's still in a state of constant starvation.
Outside of his demonic form, his human form is above-average in physical ability compared to an average humans, but nothing s.uper natural. He does have a healing factor though, which will assist him in recovering from injuries that didn't kill him within a week's span.

Sufficient to say, the ritual to move the demon into Louis was a success. Though his father died in the process, Louis was made the new vessel of the cult's demon, but their celebration would be short lived. Demon hunters raided the cult, killing his mother and many of her followers. Louis was unintentionally saved by the demon hunters, as they thought that he was one of the many kidnapped victims who were to serve as sacrifices to the demon he kept inside. The demon hunters tried to find Louis's parents, unaware that they had killed them, and eventually Louis was left up to adoption. It took about five months, but eventually he was adopted by a former demon hunter, who due to her experiences on the job, could not bare children and decided to adopt.
Though she was old and wasn't as skilled as she once was, Louis's adopted mother knew that something inside her new son wasn't all human. But unlike the blood-hungry zealots that unfortunately gets grouped together with demon hunters, she knew better than to condemn her son to a fate worse than death. She took careful measures to find out what sort of monster inhabits her son, and what she needed to do to purify him. However, in five years of research, her efforts yielded both good and bad news. Bad news was that there wouldn't be a way to purify her son without killing him, and all that would do is force the demon to find an new host, not necessarily kill the demon. But like her son, the demon was but a mere child; impressionable. If she could raise it right, she could at least give the demon something close to a conscience, enough that it may be able to find a way to rid itself of it's evil. But as idealistic as this was, not all went so well. The first incident was when Louis was seven. Thankfully isolated, the demon inside of him began to rampage, taking over Louis and materializing in physical form. Louis's mother had to fight the demon into submission, before she managed to seal it with her magic. She discovered what would cause the demon to take over, and did everything she could to stop it, short of feeding it human hearts. In the end, the best she could do was seal it away using an artifact she crafted, the Holy Lock.
Years pasted. When Louis was ten years old, his mother told him of the circumstances of his birth, and what was kept inside of him. This did make him question his purpose in life; was he just a mere canister to hold a greater power, or could he somehow overcome this evil inside of him? His mother pushed him towards the latter; the demon was wild, it's instinct guided towards what we call evil, but it can be tamed. It will not be easy; it may take years, and it may be close to impossible to make it peaceful. But it can be controlled, but not by Louis's mother, but by Louis himself. He would have to figure out how to control the demon inside of him, and to do so, she signed Louis up to a super natural school, meant to raise monsters like himself. He was hesitant at first, uncertain of how safe it would be, but there was nothing else she could do for him. She was a mere mortal, and to tame the demon inside of himself, Louis would need the assistance of those who were super natural.

It has the unique property that it can harm even immortal undead and restless spirits, but with the draw back that it can't kill mortals or those with "living" souls (That is, those who haven't died already). She also can't unsheathe her sword unless she is near those with undead souls, though she can still beat people around while it's still in it's sheath. For example, she can easily slay (Certain types of) vampires or liches with it no matter how strong they are, but she can't cut a human or a demon (Unless they have somehow cheated death in order to remain alive). Should she become stronger, she will be able to overcome these limitations.
Another item she has that could be used as a weapon is something she likes to call the "Death Note". Despite it's name, she can't kill anyone with it (unless she decides to beat them with it). Actually what it does is contain the souls of the various spirits she might find. Each soul she finds will have a profile made in her Death Note, and she can than remove the profile and mail it make to her parents (Along with the soul captured) to help the soul move onto the afterlife. Alternatively, she can also use the Death Note to hold onto souls and use them for her own gain, releasing them from the book when she wants to talk or use them. Think of them like pokeballs, but instead of six, she can have up to a hundred souls at any given moment.
Her abilities as a Shinigami is quite simply the ability to Manipulate Souls/Spirits. But like her sword, there is a catch; she can only manipulate the souls of the dead, and not of the living. This can make her an effective necromancer, but at the same time, also a great undead slayer, since she can use her powers to remove the undead souls from zombies and the like. If she doesn't decide to make them herself that is. Also like her sword, if Restu can become stronger than she is now, she can increase the strength of her power and effect even living souls, as well as having a wider array of abilities with her particular magic.
Physically, Shinigami are quite reliant, especially towards magic that revolves around life energy. This can be both a boon and a curse; on one hand, she nearly immune to abilities like life draining, but it also makes her equally immune to healing magic, so she'll have to resort to her own natural healing abilities or more mundane methods of healing should she need it. She is strong enough to lift most people and throw them a fair distance, and quick enough to race most cars on foot.

Background: Not much to tell about Restu; she comes from a long line of Shinigami, each who have served in the line of duty faithfully. And while Restu was raised to do the same, she honestly has no interest in the family business. Death was such a depressing thing to deal with all the time, let alone to make a career out of. She tries her best to be chipper, but she can only be so happy when she's having a one-sided conversation with someone who died horribly, who's last words were that of pain, suffering, and lamination of the fact they died/are dying. For a while, her enthusiastic guise was just to cover the cynic inside her. At least until she found a wondering spirit. She was twelve at the time, following her parents around to learn the job, when she met another girl around her age. the girl was another spirit, killed in a house fire. Restu half expected the girl to start screaming to her about how much it hurts to be burned alive, but the girl was oddly kind. Despite being covered in burn scars, the ghost girl was curious about Restu and her sword. Soon, the two become friends. It wasn't very long after that Restu started befriending many of the spirits she was suppose to be sending to purgatory. In a way, it was like adopting stray animals; these spirits have no where to go, and if left wondering for too long they could become a threat to everyone. But when Restu adopts them, she can keep them tame. She makes them happy, and they make her happy. Still, it was technically against the rules to be harboring spirits like this, so Restu always kept them secrete.
Years pasted, and Restu was enrolled to a school where she would learn and improve her shinigami powers. In the few years pasted, she made many friends with some of the spirits she met, and has kept them in her Death Note. And while Restu can be a bit jaded at times, ever since she started making friends with the undead, she's been much more cheery.

This can make her an effective necromancer, but at the same time, also a great undead slayer, since she can use her powers to remove the undead souls from zombies and the like. If she doesn't decide to make them herself that is. Also like her sword, if Restu can become stronger than she is now, she can increase the strength of her power and effect even living souls, as well as having a wider array of abilities with her particular magic.
Physically, Shinigami are quite reliant, especially towards magic that revolves around life energy. This can be both a boon and a curse; on one hand, she nearly immune to abilities like life draining, but it also makes her equally immune to healing magic, so she'll have to resort to her own natural healing abilities or more mundane methods of healing should she need it. She is strong enough to lift most people and throw them a fair distance, and quick enough to race most cars on foot.

Background: Not much to tell about Restu; she comes from a long line of Shinigami, each who have served in the line of duty faithfully. And while Restu was raised to do the same, she honestly has no interest in the family business. Death was such a depressing thing to deal with all the time, let alone to make a career out of. She tries her best to be chipper, but she can only be so happy when she's having a one-sided conversation with someone who died horribly, who's last words were that of pain, suffering, and lamination of the fact they died/are dying. For a while, her enthusiastic guise was just to cover the cynic inside her. At least until she found a wondering spirit. She was twelve at the time, following her parents around to learn the job, when she met another girl around her age. the girl was another spirit, killed in a house fire. Restu half expected the girl to start screaming to her about how much it hurts to be burned alive, but the girl was oddly kind. Despite being covered in burn scars, the ghost girl was curious about Restu and her sword. Soon, the two become friends. It wasn't very long after that Restu started befriending many of the spirits she was suppose to be sending to purgatory. In a way, it was like adopting stray animals; these spirits have no where to go, and if left wondering for too long they could become a threat to everyone. But when Restu adopts them, she can keep them tame. She makes them happy, and they make her happy. Still, it was technically against the rules to be harboring spirits like this, so Restu always kept them secrete.
Years pasted, and Restu was enrolled to a school where she would learn and improve her shinigami powers. In the few years pasted, she made many friends with some of the spirits she met, and has kept them in her Death Note. And while Restu can be a bit jaded at times, ever since she started making friends with the undead, she's been much more cheery.
Other: Restu currently has five souls in her Death Note: Hotaru - The girl who died in a house fire and the first spirit Restu kept, Teppou - A boy who had an interest in organized crime who died in a shoot out between Yakuza and law enforcements, Kino - A otaku girl who liked to both cosplay and work out who died of a violent heart attack during one of her excising regime, Mikoto - A boy who was a blind technology savant who died when he unknowingly stepped in front of a moving steamroller, and finally Harrington - A gun otaku, killed when a gun he was working on misfiled and shot through one of his arteries, leaving him to bleed to death.
