The mute man was cutting down the creatures that were attacking him, He felt the slashes of the their small weapons on his body causing him to grunt out in pain. His own sword slashing horizontally cutting about four of the creatures in two, Unfortunately for them they would feel the earth shaking underneath their feet.

Soon enough coming towards them was a large wagons with even bigger horse steering them towards the group, Standing on the very wagon that was leading was someone in white armor.

Madawcs shirt had turned into a blood-drenched piece of junk. Yet he didn't seem to be very set about pulling it off when the fight was over. Leaving bloody footsteps behind, he looked around. Xavier, as expected, had been pretty efficient in terms of killing. Given the fact that he had to start fighting right after waking up and with no gear on, a circumstance that had forced him to be more cautious and more on the defensive side, the demon-man was rather satisfied by his own work however.

He approached the wagon, or to be more precisely the guy standing on it, straightforwarldy. With a grumpy tone, he asked: "What do you want ?"

"None of your business demon" The voice spoke indicating that the person in the armor was a woman, Xavier knew who this was ad was speaking to them both. It was Scarlet Oathbringer the leader of the Holy Order Of The Red Doves, He also knew this would be a bit of trouble for them if he could get them out of this situation.

The mute let out a soft moan writing something down on a piece of parchment,He handed it slowly to Scarlet who took it quickly."We are travelers going back to Bravado for a mission to build a relationship between Bravado and Meche....we mean no harm and were recently attacked by some creatures so we beg you to let us leave in peace" Was what she read looking over to Xavier with a foul look on her face.

"Xavier ? Who is this person ?" Madawc pointed at Scarlet in a rather disrespectful manner while directing his view and words to the mute. Then he got blunt: "So why are you approaching us in this rather threatening way ? Is it forbidden to defend oneself ?" In fact, the demon-mans mind started to draw hypothetical lines between the monster's attack and the very sudden and both spatially and temporarily very close emergence of that... whoever she was. Aside from that... meeting yet another person who instantaneously knew about his demon part did piss him off somewhat.

Xavier then explained via parchment to the pudgy demon that she was Scarlet Oathbringe the fifty-seventh leader of The Red Doves and ever leader had the ability to sense the supernatural so she could sense the demon inside of him. "It is..but i wonder why these creatures attacked you..." Scarlet said looking down at him.

"That's what I am, too. Isn't such an attack highly unusual near the main roads ?" The suspicion still had not got out of him completely. What added to his caution was that there was a void of information in his mind about these 'Red Doves'. But perhaps he could remedy that: "May I ask what the Order you are leading is all about ? Haven't heard about The Red Doves before, to be honest."

"My apologizes demon...well i can educate you on our order.." The woman took off her helmet holding it under her arm,"Our order was created 234 years old started by Saint Jerome who was the first leader of the order,Our goal as the order is to follow the orders of Pope Whilom who guides us to ride the world of evil.." She said to Madawc looking down at him.

Being stared down at was something Madawc couldn't really stand. If he had been in a better position he would have stepped onto the wagon, putting himself on equal terms with her. "I'm no evil, so get off my back, please." he replied decisively. It wasn't entirely truthful though.

"Well demon i would think otherwise form the accounts that i have heard about you...You cannot hide such a big problem as you think" She said pointing to his belly in a playfully teasing manner,"Anyway we are on a mission right now and don't have time for you two...heretics..." She added looking over to Xavier with her intense eyes that scared the mute.

And with that she put her helmet back onto her head telling the driver to move along the road leaving the two alone and surrounded by dead monster bodies.

Madawc spit on the ground. If it had not been for the white paint, one would have seen that he had blushed the moment his belly got pointed at. And he became angered, really angered. "So that's it ? Being fat is my big problem, yes ? Aside from that: I am not fat, am I ?" he asked Xavier in a rough manner. "What does this woman think ? I suspect nothing!" The demon-man started to wrap up his belongings. It appeared he wasn't intending to stay here any longer.

Xavier shrugged his shoulder thinking that the woman was flirting with him for some reason that he didn't know about,Getting his things packed up putting on his armor letting out a soft moan.Writing something quickly on a piece of parchment handing it to the chubby demon man.

"I think she was either flirting with you or didn't mean to be rude with her comment" Was what was written on the parchment while the young man was putting his things on his horse.

"If someone wants to flirt with me, that someone shouldn't leave then..." Madawc answered in disbelief. The demon thought that Xavier's explanation for what happened was ridiculous, but he wouldn't tell the young boy. He wasn't in the mood for conflict as they really had had enough of a fight already. Seeing Xavier getting ready for travel, he decided to do the same, strapped on his armor and loaded his second horse with all of the baggage.

Madawc tried to catch up with the warrior, and his overburdened horse gave him enough time to think about his wording. in the end, it was straightforward and simple: "I'm really eager to tell this woman what I'm really thinking about her!"

Xavier wrote something quickly on another piece of parchment handing it to the heavy set man,"Well perhaps she was too stubborn to say she was flirting with you?And what would you tell her?" Was what was written on the parchment. The mute boy was now riding along the road his hand on his sword in case they were attacked again.

"I'd tell her that I want clear answers and that it's not that ladylike to point at one's belly in such a teasing way. Am I really that fat ?" Of course, in Madawc's own opinion, he was not. A considerable bit over the line, but he had a huge lot of muscle to compensate for that! As if to underline that, he did the same thing Xavier did: Grabbing his weapon and holding it in his hand, ready to strike. The thing that was different was that his weapon wasn't a sword, but a huge warhammer that normally was supposed to be used with both hands, not a single one. However Madawc didn't seem to have any problem with that.

Xavier nodded his head thinking that perhaps it was rude for her to say that he was fat even though he had to admit that he was a bit pudgy in the middle.Never writing anything more riding down the lone road shifting his eyes looking around to see if any of those creatures would attack again.

None so far but he would not be caught off guard again by those creatures,Soon they would head towards the guard post near one of the Meche's village called Kaol.They were stopped by the guards being checked if they would be any trouble.

"Ride less and walk more! It would be good for both you and your poor beast!" was a comment of the guard that fueled Madawc's anger. Kaol was even less beknown to him than the capital city had been, but at least the probability of being attacked there was lowered. Other people were around to protect inhabitants and guests alike. "What about searching for a nice little tarvern and stay a while ? Or do we have to hurry ?"

The demon part in the man had passed the guard unrecognized. If that soldier had put himself into the growing list of people who had been able to discover one of his more astonishing properties within an instant, he would have gone crazy. The war-painted man didn't tell Xavier about it though as he thought that it could be of a great concern for him.

Xavier was stopped by the guard being checked by the guards before being lead out of the post and towards the city,Writing down something and handing it the demon man calming riding down the road."A tavern would be good for now since it is almost dawn and we can rest easier then near the road" It was written on the parchment as the mute was heading towards the town.

Madawc went ahead and organized for the horses to have a safe place to rest over the night. He wasn't too picky about the tavern however. On his behalf, the two men ended up in a rather dilapidated looking, wooden building with only a few chambers spread across two stories. The barmaid was looking nice, but the fact that Madawc didn't appear to act any different towards her than he did to any owner of a shop was able to disperse certain suspicions. "Single room or one for each of us ?" he asked the mute. The woman had already told them about the pricing: It was more dead cheap than expensive.

The mute nodded and let out a moan putting up two fingers wanting to have a room for the two of them,The man in the tavern that was speaking to them nodded and handed them both two keys so they can head into their rooms. The mute took his keys letting out another moan as if he was trying to thank the tavern owner.

Two separate rooms ? Well... who was he to expect anything else. It would make it much easier for thieves and the like though. Madawc thrusted a few coins across the table as payment for their overnight stay, then started going upwards. Almost each and everyone of the wooden steps creaked under his feet and so did the bed which Madawc sat down on after bidding Xavier good night. The demonically infested man didn't feel ready for the land of dreams yet.
