[IC] The Two Sides

Paisley heard the scream again, though it was more of a cry of help then anything. She groaned. Some poor kid was probably being mauled again. She glanced at the fight and a war raged in her mind. Should she go and check it out or stay? What if it wasn't a person but instead some dying animal? What would Fabine say? She almost laughed at her last thought and turned around. She didn't give a rip about what Fabine would say. She headed in the direction of the scream quickly. If it was a Brom trapped in Rabin territory, she needed to get there as fast as she could.

[Fionraella]

Dem cries out in pain, red searing pain radiating from his shoulder. Tears well in his eyes as he struggles to get away from her teeth. "P...please stop!" He screams in agony. "Fabine will kill you for this!" He blurts out, not realizing the hatred the wolf felt towards his brother. He struggles against the blackness he felt at the edge of his vision.

As Paisley got closer to the screaming, she understood the words. One f the words stood out to her. Fabine. So it was a Brom. The girl started to run towards the scream of agony, wondering what in the world was going on. She shifted in mid stride and ran as hard as she could. She hoped she wouldn't find a dead Brom on arrival. If so, there would be a dead Rabin laying next to them in the moments following her arrival.

"That you're weak. That you don't know what you're fighting for." Destin sighs heavily. "And that Sacha killed the last Brom leader for absolutely no reason!" He looks at her gently. "I think that perhaps the Broms get a bad rap, and that it's actually the Rabins doing the wrong things." He then smiles at her warmly. "I'm sure Fabine would let you join the Broms! We're so much better than the Rabins!"

At the sound of Fabine's name, Kianna grew more enraged. She slams him down again by his shoulder, and bites down harder. She didn't hear Paisley nearby as she was too preoccupied with her assault. The brawler's face was covered in blood at this point and she felt it drip from her mouth. "I don't give a fuck what Fabine will do," she snarls to Dem, "I'll tear his throat out too!"

Dem shivers, feeling his body grow cold at her words and the loss of blood. Tears stream down his face. "What did I do to you?" He whispers painfully. He felt a bone crack in his shoulder and he moans, everything ached now, his shoulder throbbing and burning, and now stabbing. He looks at Kianna sadly. "I'm sorry for whatever I did to you." He says quietly before his eyes close, waiting for death.

"Sacha killed the last Brom leader...?" Aya cocks her head and thinks about what Destin is saying. She'd never heard that. Sacha was good in a fight, but never had she seemed the kind to kill. Not without reason, at least. She pulled her mind away from the thought and concentrated on his other statement. "We're not weak!" She felt a sudden rush of passion for her group mates. "I see them practice all the time! You should see Selena with her dagger! She's so cool!" She quickly turns back to Destin, not wanting to seem ungrateful at his offer. "I mean, it's a nice thought but... No, the Rabins can't be entirely wrong. I'd never leave them. They're my friends."

Kianna's chest heaved and she felt the blood in her ears. The brawler looked up from her victim and spat the blood out of her mouth, before deciding if she should leave him here to bleed out. She didn't really care at this point. Red blurred her vision and she looked down at the boy below her. "Tell Fabine Kianna sends her regards," She hisses coldly.

Paisley came barreling in and slammed into Kianna, knocking her off of the boy. She growled from the pain in her shoulder but stayed on top of the bigger canine. Her animal form, an African Wild Dog, wasn't meant for fighting alone. They traveled in packs and were light weights when it came to fighting. However they didn't stop her. She bared her teeth at the Rabin.

Kianna rolled off Dem in a snarling fit of rage. She landed on the forest floor a bit aways from Dem, but she was too distracted to think of the boy. She spat at the smaller animal and lunged for her shoulder. She smelled like a Brom and that was enough to set Kianna off again.

Destin gives her a soft smile. "I'm just telling you what I know. No need to get so defensive." He laughs softly. "It's okay." He then shrugs. "Selena's the...Which one is she?" He asks, not really knowing too many of the Rabins by name. But he supposed that was due to being the healer and not really getting involved with the groups' fighting personally.

Dem shivers at her hiss, before his eyes slowly open as her weight is suddenly off of him. He groans and struggles to turn his head. He saw a smaller figure ram into the wolf. He blinks the blackness from his eyes. "Hey..." He tries to speak, but grimaces as that hurts. "I can't send my regards to someone I'm leaving here." He whispers to himself before closing his eyes again, deciding to just die.

"She's got like dark brown hair and she shifts into a cat... She's pretty quiet, but she's so strong. And no one's as cool as Sacha! I admire both of them." Aya smiles at the thought of the two. "You must have people you look up to in the Broms, right?" She shuffles her feet awkwardly. "Maybe if you told me about them I wouldn't see them as villains so much. Right now they just seem kind of faceless."

Paisley yipped at the strike. She snarled and ran around Kianna, nipping at the large wolf's legs. And this is why I am not a brawler... Paisley thought. She contemplated shifting but she felt as if she could fend off the wolf better in this form then her human form. Paisley's lips pulled back, revealing long canines, "Buzz off Rabin scum."

[Fionraella]

"Oh! I think I remember her!" Destin nods a bit. "She's pretty good at fighting!" He then blinks at her question. Who did he admire? "Well...definitely Fabine, I mean...he's such a good leader..." He shrugs. "Paisley's pretty good too. she's an african wild dog. She's also super smart!" He grins. "Cici! She's kind of funny, she argues a lot and doesn't listen to Fabine, so his face gets all red!" He giggles.

Kianna rose to her feet whilst kicking out at the smaller canine. She snarled at her, blood covering her head and chest. "This is my territory, dipshit." The Brawler turned to face her Brom opponent and glared at her. "You have five seconds to take this boy and leave or I'll do the same to you." She warns, malice dripping off her words. She meant it at this point.

Sorry for the language, it's just what she'd probably say Dx))

Aya presses her hands together happily and smiles at Destin's descriptions. "Wow, the Broms sound... Well, they sound kind of like the Rabins!" She laughs a little. "I wish we didn't fight all the time. Maybe we'd actually get along." She dips her head towards Destin in an apologetic fashion. "I'm sorry that I thought you were going to attack me." She looks away worriedly for a second. "What do you think your friends would do if they saw me?"

Paisley sprang away, light of her feet since she was smaller. She clicked her tongue and shook her head, "Such language. Do you kiss your mother with that mouth?" Paisley shifted quickly and whipped out a throwing knife, "You really don't scare me Kianna. I am going to take whoever this is to town, not because you command me to do so, but because I have a heart." The last words were laced with poison and double meaning. She then threw the knife at the wolf, but it was more to save time than anything.

Destin laughs a bit. "Rabins and Broms can't be all that different, especially if you're in the Rabins! You aren't all bad it seems." He smiles warmly at her, before his face turns red at her question. "Oh...they'd...I dunno. I want to say they'd attack you, but you are a healer.." He frowns worriedly. "No, I'd tell them you're okay!" He nods firmly. "You're very nice. I'd make sure they wouldn't hurt you."

"If you had a heart you wouldn't be blindly following that shitty excuse for a human." Kianna growls, before dodging the knife. It landed in the soil next to her and she snarled at Paisley. The next time they met, Kianna wouldn't let her off so easy. "Get the fuck out of here."

Aya smiles happily at Destin's comment. "Oh, thank you! I always get so worried when I go to collect herbs you know. I keep thinking someone's going to attack. The shadows from the trees make the forest look so scary when I look at your side of the river." She thinks on the Rabins for a moment. "I'd like to believe that everyone doesn't attack unless their provoked but I should tell them about you. They wouldn't want to attack someone without reason." Her imagination fires up in a naive fashion. "Who knows, maybe one day they'll even learn to stop fighting each other?"
