Brianna only stared at the hand before looking back at The Boss. "Boss... This is Subject 10. We only address our subjects by number."

The Boss waved his hand dismissively. "This subject is different and thus deserves to be called by name." He glares sharply at Brianna. "I expect the utmost care with him. Do you understand what I'm saying? He's not like any other subject and I expect you not to dispose of his thus."

Brianna grits her teeth and nods, walking past Ambrose to the lab area of the room.

Jayden snarls and lunges for Elauna, knocking her to the ground. "Stop! Yes he is. You don't get a say in this." He stands over her bares his teeth. "You know this is better for him."

Misha grunts. "Motherfuckers... hurts......" She let out a shrill cry and covered her eyes with her scarred upper arm. Despite this "minor inconvenience," she pulled herself into a sitting position and grasped weakly at the buckle. However, instead of strapping it around her, she clung to the fabric and moaned pitifully.

Dione peered at Destin. She was wary, but he was small and had wide, inviting eyes. She softened her stance. "Nothing serious, I don't think. Thank you," she said with a slight smile. "I was just.. expecting to deal with a different crisis." She let out an uneasy laugh, eyes flitting back to Jayden and Elauna.

Mona winces at the cry. "Take your time, we're still waiting on Ambrose..." She looks at the girl sympathetically. "What did Brianna do to you?" She asks gently, trying not to set the girl off in a fit of anger. She bites her lip, stomach churning nervously. This place didn't seem like the same place she'd grown up in. Now, it seemed like this evil place full of evil scientists and science experiments. On children!

"I hope not, serious problems are never fun." Destin sighs a bit. "You want to talk about it at all? Those other people will probably argue for another two hours or so...all I want is to be with someone I like, you know?" He shrugs innocently. "Life sucks sometimes, doesn't it?"

Dione reacts in a split second, shoving Destin aside with a thought of vague apology. She shifts into her panther form midair as she dives in front of Sacha - the arrow piercing fur and flesh in her flank. She let out a rumbling cry as it bit her, but managed to steady herself in front of Sacha. She blinked against the pain of the arrow. That's a nasty one, she thought, feeling blood begin to drip from the wound.

"Subject 10. Hey! 10 is my lucky number!" Ambrose then follows Brianna like a puppy dog. "It's not nice to ignore people, you know. Some would think you have a problem with me." He gasps. "Do you hate bats? Because I'm a bat, and if you're afraid of bats, we might have a problem..." He then glances at the Boss. "Hey mister boss man, you aren't going to leave me here with her, are you? I don't think she likes me very much."

"You're wanting me to be the replacement healer, so I'm the person with the most say here!" She snaps, struggling to get away from him. She narrows her eyes. "Get the fuck off of me right now Jayden, or you will regret this."

Sacha stumbles back a bit as Dione catches the arrow meant for her. She sets her gaze on Elauna. "You bitch!" She snaps, but then realizes that Jayden has her pinned, so turns her attention to Dione. "Dione, are you okay??" She asks, walking over to look at the wound. "Stupid Broms, always messing everything up!"

Destin leaps into Healer mode. "Hey, you need to lay down!" He rushes to Dione's side and bites his lip. "Oww, okay.." He tears off the hem of his shirt and begins wrapping it gently around the wound. "I'll need fresh water and clean towels, and herbs. Lots of herbs." He orders, not really caring who actually came back with said items.

Dione clenched her jaw. "I'm good, I'm good," she purred, gently settling down on the ground, though she was still wary of the girl who had shot her a moment before. She glanced back at Destin. "You're in a mess, aren't you?" She let out a sigh. "I hope you're on our side."

Misha slapped the window. "Brianna?" She shook her head. "I don't know.. no clue." She took a deep breath in, closing her eyes as she drew dry air into her lungs. Sand, sand, and more sand. Lovely. "I'm feelin' so off," she moaned, burying her head in her elbow.

Liwei was growing anxious. "He's not here yet," he mouthed to Mona. "We might have to leave without him."

She glances to the side quickly, seeing a fallen arrow. She reaches her arm out to grab it, fully willing to stab her own groupmate if it came to that.

Brianna glares at Ambrose, feeling distraught at the fact that she was supposed to treat this subject as, well, an actual person. At least he wouldn't have to undergo shock therapy. "Boss, if this subject is not to undergo normal procedure, what can be learnt from him?"

The Boss shrugs and collects his microscope, preparing to leave the office. "Examine the blood. Examine the way he shifts. Examine everything. This boy is special, I just know it. Oh, and Ambrose...?" His expression towards the boy is suddenly unkind. "There's no real way out of this facility without the right know-how. I'd get to enjoy the area if I were you." With that, he hobbles out of the door with microscope and walking stick in hand.

Jayden eyes the arrow, but doesn't give it any more attention. "You're going to pay them back. By becoming the healer, and letting Destin go to them. After all, it's only fair? After what happened?" He lowers his voice to where only she could hear and glares down at her.

Destin blinks. "I'm a healer. There are no sides when someone is hurt." He gives her a soft smile and pats her side. "Keep talking so I know you're okay." He plops down next to her and begins trying to figure out how to get the arrow out. "Hmm..." He ponders this puzzle. At least it wasn't poisonous or barbed, otherwise he'd have a heck of a lot more work ahead of him.

Mona bites her lip. "Stay awake please sweetie, we're going to get you back to your friends, okay?" She looks at Liwei worriedly. "Give him ten more minutes." She mouths back, hoping beyond everything that the boy would be there soon...she didn't want to leave without him, especially if it looked like the girl might need help when they got back to the forest.

Ambrose blinks at the old man as he heads out the door. "the right know-how, huh?" He mutters, hoping that Liwei's instructions would be enough. He decides to give the old man five minutes distance before escaping. He looks at Brianna. "You're not talking to me, and that's very rude. You shouldn't ignore people. I might bite. Or have rabies. Bats can have rabies you know."

"That has nothing to do with him. Or you. I did what I had to do." Elauna whispers back, hand managing to brush the arrow. She tries to grab it, keeping eye contact with Jayden. Her eyes were pained. "You broke up with me for what I did. That wasn't fair. Making me become healer. That's not fair. Do you insist on punishing me as much as you can for something I can;t change?"

"I was protecting you the only way I knew how." Elauna clenches that hand into a fist. She feels tears forming behind her eyes, but doesn't let them fall. "You want me, to become healer, so Destin can live happily ever after. Why? What do you gain from this Jayden? You'll have to see me more often, everytime you're hurt. Or sick, or anything.''

Dione sighed and relaxed, allowing him to work without bothering him by tensity. She still held a thread out doubt, though, and she knew if she pulled on that thread it would keep drawing and drawing out until she had unraveled completely. Where's Ambrose? What's happening here? Are we in trouble? She shook her head against the thoughts pummeling her. "You know how to do this pretty well," she commented, looking back at Destin. "In.. super tight positions." She glanced over at Elauna.

Misha looked up and narrowed her eyes. "If you take me to a hospital..." She thought for a second, shaking her head. She shot her leg at the woman, foot smacking the back of the seat. "I'll kill you," she howled weakly, voice coming out as a week keen. "I'm sick of this shit." She flopped down on the seat, fidgeting constantly.

Brianna glared at the boy. "I have well-detailed reports on you from when you were unconscious. Not to mention scientific research which shows that diseases that a shifter has stay with them no matter their form. As such, I can conclude that you Ambrose do not have any such illness that could cause any harm to my wellbeing." She laced his name with poison. "Now, are you going to let me examine you or will you continue to act coy? I have full access to security should I need to use it and they can hold you down if you refuse to stay still."

"I'll kill you," she howled weakly, voice coming out as a week keen. "I'm sick of this shit." She flopped down on the seat, fidgeting constantly.

Destin laughs slightly. "Well I am a healer. As mentioned. You're nothing new." He gives her a small smile, before lowering his voice. "I'm even probably going to join the Rabins, so you may as well get used to having me heal you." He then presses on the wound, at the same time, yanking the arrow out straight from the wound.

Mona flinches. "Shh, you're going to attract attention. We won't take you to a hospital I promise, okay? Now please calm down and rest, but not going to sleep. We're taking you back where we found you, just be quiet and wait for Ambrose, okay?"
