Vera's eyes widened slightly, then she gritted her teeth. "Fine. I'll do it." She stood up and pulled her bow over he shoulder. She took a few steps towards the camp exit, but then chuckled slightly and glanced over her shoulder at him. "It must be fun to be you," she commented before turning back towards the exit.

Jayden laughs shortly and turns to her. "And I care about that why? Poor you, having to heal people." He continues walking ahead of her. "I can handle myself believe it or not. I practically live in the forest anyways."

Hunter smirks slightly at the way Ambrose was acting. The shifter was definitely nervous as they prepared to move him. "You sure you want to me smart with that mouth of yours?" He questions, fully prepared to hit Ambrose if it came to it.

Elauna can't help but allow a small flicker of pain cross her eyes. "Jayden, was the murder the only reason you broke up with me?" She asks, stopping in her tracks as she watches him. "You act like you're okay with us being group mates, but you don't want to be friends..."

Brianna struggles to pull him along as he hinders their progress. "Call me all the names you want, Ambrose. You'll still be the one in chains." She flinches as Ambrose kicks at her legs and in response offers him a sharp kick to the shins with the heel of one of her shoes. She frowns at the difficulty she's having bringing him along and looks at Hunter with annoyance. "Can't a lady get any help here?"

Vera turned back to face him and defended herself firmly. "It's my decision that an attack party isn't the way to do this. Only one or two Broms are necessary for this mission; it'd be much easier to use stealth rather than force." She paused for a long moment. She used a softer voice as she continued. "I just need to recruit one other Brom and then I'm ready."

Hunter cracks his knuckles and moves forward to lift the shackles above Ambrose's head. "If you kick me, you will certainly regret it." He warns, helping Brianna out with the struggling captive. "You're prolonging the inevitable."

Jayden stops walking as she spoke, facing away from her. "...I didn't want to break up with you. But you just went to far that day." He doesn't turn to face her, but stares ahead. "It shouldn't have happened. I can handle myself, and you just..."

Ambrose winces as she kicks his shin. He scowls at Hunter. "Two people to deal with one kid, man I wonder how you got the job!" He swings his leg a bit, wondering if he should go ahead and kick Hunter, but decides against it. He pulls at his arms instead, hoping he could wiggle free, but finds it impossible. He scowls at them. "Let me go!"

Hunter cracks his knuckles and moves forward to lift the shackles above Ambrose's head. "If you kick me, you will certainly regret it." He warns, helping Brianna out with the struggling captive. "You're prolonging the inevitable."

Jayden stops walking as she spoke, facing away from her. "...I didn't want to break up with you. But you just went to far that day." He doesn't turn to face her, but stares ahead. "It shouldn't have happened. I can handle myself, and you just..."

Elauna's gaze softens for the first time since their breakup. She walks over and rests a hand on his arm. "I know. I realize now that I'm wrong. That I was wrong. And I am so sorry..." She whispers softly. She then removes her hand.

Suddenly, a crazy idea popped into her head; it wasn't just a crazy idea, it was probably a terrible idea. He said to pick someone he wouldn't expect... She turned around slowly and met his gaze. "Come with me," she said, as more of a statement rather than a request. "I want to show you more than just that I can drop prisoners at your feet. And maybe I could even learn a thing or two from you," she added reluctantly.

Slowly Brianna with Hunter's help managed to get Ambrose to the lab across the hall. She was incredibly thankful it was no further away because the subject's struggling was ridiculous. When they were there she chained him to the examination table in the middle of the room. She gave a good tug on the chain to demonstrate to him that it was impossible for him to break free. She flicked through her clipboard. "Well Hunter, usually we tend to follow a rather strict schedule of what experiments to perform first, but I'm feeling creative today!" She smiled at him. "What do you feel like doing first?"

He puts it in the sheath at his waist before heading out of the tent. "Alright, we're not telling anyone what's going on. Hopefulyl if all goes well, we'll be back...eventually?"

Ambrose grows cold at the mention of teeth extraction. He snarls and bites at Hunter's hand, angrily and frightened. They want to pull out my teeth!? Without sedation? What are these people, true torturers! What is this? Where's the Boss man, he seemed to like me...they wouldn't get away with this if he knew what they were doing!

"So close," Brianna cooed of Ambrose's description. "yet you are wrong. We are scientists, not torturers, and you will not die." She watched Hunter's action with satisfaction. "But you'll wish you had died when we're through with you. Nobody mocks me and gets away with it." Her last sentence was a hiss. She nods at Hunter approvingly. "I'd say that we do put him under... But, oh! The boy has had so much tranquiliser lately! That wouldn't be good for him." she filled her tone with mocking melodrama. "Let me collect the instruments..." she left the two of them and strolled to a cupboard.

Elauna exhales and nods, looking away. "I guess I have no choice, do I..." She mutters and then walks past him, heading to camp. She sets her bow across her back as she walks, debating if she should give that up and devote all her time to being a healer. Nah, you're an archer at heart. You need to hone and keep those skills as tuned as posslble.
