@Zendrelax

I like the interpolation you did regarding the fragility of the ritual. Some nice interaction with the world.

So just to clarify: each of the 'Demons' was sealed in an individual, customized prison built solely for them? And is the Pit a physical place, or a metal physical place. Because if its the former....

A bit of both: They each have their own, tailored cell, depending on their size and anatomy, but the magic binds their consciousnesses to the pit as well. But your video is pretty much how I expect this will turn out.

<Snipped quote by Cayce>
I get the impression that even more Guards are likely to show up in short order, and aren't they as hostile to the angels as they are to the demons? They would have to get through the hall where the demons are kept/breaking free before they could get to the Chamber of the Gods, @dragonmancer

Some of the guards near the staircases are probably going to make a run for it after seeing Nod rip someone's goddamn arm off, and try to warn the rest of the castle. But as of the moment the rest of the garrison has no idea what just happened.

<Snipped quote by Dawnscroll>

A physical place. A single location. The "angels" are kept in a circular chamber in the far end of the Pit. In front of the chamber is a large hall, lined with large cells in which the demons are kept separated. The Pit is located beneath a large prison, housing the worst criminals. A large spiral staircase separates the Pit from the prison and the outside world. At least, that's what I'm able to make out.

So, yeah, it's gonna be a party.

Yup. Maybe I should make a paint map to illustrate it.

@Flagg

To clarify, the NPC guards introduced by Vahir that are in with the angels are controlled only by Vahir, or are they essentially fair game for everyone?

Anyone can RP them. Just keep in mind they're the most skilled soldiers in the Republic, as well as the most fanatical and devout, chosen for their blind loyalty to Eyra. Keep that spirit in mind and you can write them as much as you want.

<Snipped quote by Flagg>

I think dragonmancer's character is talking to the guards who were already in the Chamber. There were a couple stationed there, standing watch. The guards I'm, uh, "interacting with" came from the Spire-side of the Pit, the opposite way. I don't know if they would necessarily be hostile to the angels, since it's not their job to keep them in, only other mortals out.

According to the official church doctrine, the Angels are gods of good (beneath Eyra of course) and deserve worship, but they all died in the War of Dawn. Anyone who knows the truth (i.e. Pit Guards) are loyal only to Eyra, and understand that the Angels have to be kept locked away, even if the theology's a bit confusing.

And yeah, they're not meant to keep the angels and demons locked away, because if they ever got free (such as right now) the thought is that every Pit Guard is completely fucked anyway.

@Vahir What are the chances that the physical cell can be in the pt, but the bindings more than just simply physical.

Dilemna with a metaphysical god held by a physical prison. The door can be unlocked, but it must still be opened. The dreamer can open his eyes, but has yet to awaken.

....I was half way though 3k of words of one of Estoil's followers awakening him in the Dreamlands.

I'm 0 words into my post with Aylin and Ash cause of gaming - I'll get something done by the end of tonight though.

Though Aylin will probably just not say / do much

Not a guard thing, but something I noticed: Koyati isn't a name, it's an ethnicity, since his family is from Koyatia (where the Tower is). I think his name was Nixus.

@Zendrelax The npc's reffered to him as that title, so I wasn't sure exactly how they would respond. With that name or his official name.

Don't worry, I think most people have only posted once, and I'm definitely gonna wait for a few others to post before I do again.

Yeah, I got to go out to dinner with a friend, so I'll post when I return. In the meantime, I'll read over the posts that have already went up from my phone.

If they're using it as a nickname "The Koyati" would make more sense. You wouldn't say someone's name is "American", you'd say it's "The American", or else "Joe Bob".

So let's level with everyone here: all characters, enemies allies and so forth are in this nice little room. The Angels have had the chance to wake up together, the Demons are on their own for now.

You were all betrayed. There's one exit.

Are we trully starting combat this early? Are you really going to try and stop us from leaving? For those of us less physical... CAN you stop us?

The way I see it, there's literally no point in fighting here. No one is at any particular advantage, killing a child would simply allow it to reincarnate itself on the surface anyway. Albeit at a much later date, but to immortals that's rather unimportant.

Also, I notice someone referred to Chinasa as a demon, was that a stylistic thing? Pretty sure he was on the angel's side.

Nefas isn't gonna be stopping anyone, as long as no one tries to stop her.

I'm pretty sure Wu Dan would have probably gotten rekt by everyone else if he was insistent on preventing them from leaving.

Also, this.

Fighting wouldn't really solve anything at this point, neither would killing anyone in the long run.

Aylin really really just wants to get out of the place because it's too damn full of other people, and there aren't very many places for her to perch. So she's only drawn her weapon as an in case thing rather than having plans to actually fight.

Same with Ash tbh, they just kind of want to get out of the place. Chaos causing comes later.

The better question is, how many children are going to go straight for Eyra? It seems like someone has already tried to garner support to go murder her, will they get an angry mob of sorts to go straight to the capitol?

Nefas' first goal is to return to the Deep and rebuild her tribe.

Killing Eyra would likely be a fools errand at this point, I think. Although, she wouldn't be adverse to the idea if someone could convince her it would be for the best.
