~Syna, Mage in training~
Rauru, Nuun Highlands
"Pardon me, miss. Are you headed for Lynna City today? On your way to visit the Maku Shrine, perhaps?"
As soon as she arrived, the Subrosian approached her instead. She hadn't expected him to show himself so easily. Usually someone under such suspicion from the guard would be a little harder to find, but he was standing almost out in the open like this. Must be confident, then. Not that it really mattered to her, she wasn't exactly about to hand him over to the guards.
"I happen to be a reliable trail guide and I can escort you there, for a fee. If you've heard about the incident with that poor knight then you know the roads out there can get pretty dangerous for a woman out all by herself,"
She appeared slightly annoyed at the suggestion that she couldn't handle herself, but it passed quickly as curiosity replaced it.
"Huh, so you're Atticus? Do all Subrosians have a raspy voice like that? That accent, too. Is that common for Subrosians?" She didn't seem bothered, or intimidated by his appearance at all. In fact, she looked at him with complete curiosity. She had come here, following that urge after all. She stared up at his eyes, trying to discern some sort of emotion from them, but failing miserably. Perhaps she'd simply need to speak with him more, then.
"Anyways, nope, I'm not traveling to Lynna. I'm heading further into the Highlands later...just wanted to finally meet a Subrosian before I left. Never met one before, and I heard you had a good looking boomerang on you. Something about a giant jewel in it or something? It wouldn't happen to be magical or anything, would it?"
Okay, she was probably running a few too many things by him at once, considering they had just met but she didn't seem bothered by it. She also didn't really elaborate on how she knew his name, or who told him. Probably a bad idea to mention it so casually like that, but Syna was letting her curiosity get the best of her at the moment, as it often did. "If it is, can I buy it from you?"
